In this big casino they have only 2 lifts, only 1 was working in our entire stay for six days. You have to wait until you get the lift on 4th floor for around 10m or more. Very disappointing experience in this hotel.

Everything was great! The room was super comfortable, nice view, staff very friendly, breakfast was very good as well, nothing to complaint. The only thing it was a little inconvenient is that only one elevator was working, but it wasn’t a big problem since I stayed there during week days and it wasn’t too full. The other elevator was fast as well. Oh, they were very deixaste and gave me a $20 voucher for my birthday with a lovely card. I really appreciate that! Thank you.

One of my favorite stays in Tassie. One of the lifts was out of action which was a bit of a pain. Other than that, once again an excellent place to stay. Ate at the LongHorn restaurant, great steak. Would recommend a stay here.

Room 509 the air con made a terrible noise. Probably needs maintenance. And I was a bit surprised that house keeping only happened if you put a label on your door? Any other hotel it happens as a given. I forgot to put it and when I got back to the room obviously it wasn’t done because I hadn’t put the label on. Maybe doing it by default is a better way? Apart from that the staff were so friendly and amazing. And when I called for more towels I got them instantly. So thank you for an all in all good experience.

It was easy to get into town either by bus or taxi.Staff were very obliging by getting a tax I if there were none at the Casino rank. Rooms could do with a little thorough cleaning eg. found curtains to be quite dusty.

Rooms were clean and modern. We stayed for 2 nights and room was not serviced, so no clean towels or replenished tea, sugar, coffee, had to ask for more at reception. Also phone did not work in room.

Was a lovely view out of the window. Staff were great, friendly. Mattresses are uncomfortable though, both sides had great body caverns in them, and hurt my back considerably. Hard on backs when this happens. I ended up perched on the middle of the bed for any comfort. Why 4 stars not 5!

Beautifully renovated room, great service, so clean and neat. Birdcage bar was great. The air conditioner in our room was SO loud, kept us awake all night, extremely uncomfortable having a very loud sound all night. We told staff and they said ‘everyone complains’

Ducted aircondtioning/heating system old and very loud. Had to turn this off to sleep. Was not an issue but may have been in summer or mid-winter. Room was behind lift and was quite loud every time lift went up or down or stopped at our floor. Need moe soundproofing around lift shaft.

Wonderful accomodating staff who helped when our flights where cancelled due to the cyclone in Brisbane, fantastic staff in the boardwalk restaurant and the cafe, the wonderful housekeeping staff who also went above and beyond, thank you all so much for making our stay so enjoyable

It’s our first visit to Tasmania. The staff that checked us in was very professional and accomodating. We arrived early but room wasn’t ready. We didn’t realise that we had booked the outside property- Motor Inn. He gave us option to upgrade our room to be inside the Casino and a room was available. Thank you kind Sir at the front desk. We truly enjoyed our visit to Hobart. So convenient to everything. Only downside is knky one mict is working. We will recommend and stay here again.

Strange. The man at reception offered to give us an upgrade, but didnt. My Wotif payment didnt yet appear for them, so they wanted immediate extra payment from my card:i think they were planning to keep my card for a while—-theytook$200 dollars bond —in case we trashed the place, I suppose. Then we were shown to a very ordinary room which had seen better days, and had a very badly planned bathroom. The eating facilities were very expensive. I daresay that young people enjoy the glam, but I kept thinking of Sodom and Gomorrah. The reception people behaved as if they were doing us great favours: after one small setback gave us some chocolate. Frightfully friendly despite not actually doing us any favors. I guess that’s the World they live in.

From start to finish thought the staff were disinterested and really quite rude. The restaurants and bars were closed more often than open. Restaurants/bistro/coffee shop food was definetely below standard, and over priced. Hair in $30 buffett breakfast which was served cold Room was ok was so dissaponted as i have waited my while life to stay at wrestpoint (australias oldest casino)

This hotel is a 20 minute walk from the city centre and sits at the top of Sandy Bay and is perfect as gives you all of the options. The views from the room (we had mountains) were extraordinary and as a Casino they offer really good value with free parking the hop on hop off bus stops outside and there are always Cabs in the driveway. We didn't eat but the meals we saw all looked excellent and the staff we interacted with were all extraordinary. You are only about 15 mins from a choice of beaches heading into Sandy Bay where you can view what is a excellent sunrise and really clean beaches.

Dining is very expensive and not even the best options to choose from, they don’t even have vending machine or biscuits included with tea and coffee in the motel part of the Hotel. It still looks prestige walking into the lobby. But it certainly is less than its former self. Nice room, nice bathroom, though the shower’s tap flew off while I was trying to adjust the water. Staff are extremely kind, hardworking and helpful though. Though trying to get through to them - guest services - by phone several times went unanswered. I believe they need to employ more staff all round.

I’ve stayed at Wrestpoint regularly. Accommodation is great. Parking is the best in Hobart. Restaurants are ok, breakfast is expensive if booked with accommodation.

The rooms were very clean, with good facilities. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and both the food and the service were excellent. The café had very good service as well, and the casino was very clean. Overall, great service.

One of my favorite stays in Tassie. One of the lifts was out of action which was a bit of a pain. Other than that, once again an excellent place to stay. Ate at the LongHorn restaurant, great steak. Would recommend a stay here.

Excellent facilities, beautiful environment. Revolving restaurant experience was amazing. Hotel restaurants all excellent food and service. Hop on hop off bus made getting around easy. Beautiful views from most of the facility and in particular bay views. Issue with shower water pressure and only one lift available for whole hotel while they refurbished another one.

We stayed in the Tower at the Casino for 1 night which was excellent. The rooms have all been updated and are most comfortable. The bathroom was a dream, most practical and so nice to just walk into the shower cubicle. Complete opposite to moving across to the Motor Inn. Won’t ever stay in that building again. As someone who has regularly stayed at the Casino in the Tower, I do congratulate the Federal owners with their refurbishment within the Tower.

We stayed in the Motor Inn across from the actual Casino because of firstly costs for 2 nights and requested no stairs. Rang to confirm this, the week prior to the actual dates. I reiterated the fact that my husband had a bad leg and wears a support and the friend staying beside us was an elderly lady who did not go well with stairs either. All confirmed. The staff did not say that the bathroom had a shower bath with the water tap having to be pulled up from the bath to the shower head. For 2 people with leg problems this antiquated shower was a disaster. This problem ruined our very special weekend having attended a function at Government House. The hallways and the rooms were ok but NOT the bathroom. The Casino definitely need to inform people about the bathroom when asking for particular requirements. Not happy at all !!
