Lovely large bed, very comfortable. Excellent restaurant and friendly helpful staff. Just beware that parking is on first come first served basis. If full you might need to park over the road from hotel. Free after 5pm.

Overall stay was ok. Room was spacious and mostly clean. They had assigned us the incorrect room on arrival, which resulted in us waiting 45mins for a new room to be cleaned/made up. No offer of late checkout or much of an apology for the wait. Car parking very limited..only approx 20 spaces. Area is quite noisy with traffic but double glazing helped minimize

Repeat visitor to this great location. The beds are starting to feel well worn & too soft my liking, personal preference . Great service & friendly staff. On site covered parking is hard to get but the hotel kindly offer parking outside.

We had the penthouse so one of the best rooms and as you would expect it's well appointed like a mini apartment, with everything you need. Very comfortable. But parking at Millennium is limited and first come first served, so if you go out at night don't expect to get one, I probably wont be back, it's just annoying. Have stayed there 3 times but parking is important to me

Room was excellent with a wonderful view of the sea. Balcony was spacious and relaxing. Room had everything we needed for our two night stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited on premise but also available right across the street. We luckily got a spot at the hotel. Would highly recommend this accommodation - especially to book the penthouse suite.

This hotel is situated in a very nice area. Our service in their restaurant took some time to clean our table. They said they had problems with the staff quitting. Our room was nice but we looked at coffee cups and they were not clean and had to order more. Their parking lot was full. They told us to park around the corner which charged a fee at a certain time. She said their parking would clear as restaurant guests can park there as well. She said she would call and we could come and move the car (inconvenient!). She never called and we had to move the car by 9am the following morning. Again their lot was full but we were lucky to find one last spot. It is beautiful with the coastal walkway across the street!

One of the nicer hotels in New Plymouth. Clean, well maintained, attentive staff and service. Down by the waterfront and easily accessible to the restaurants and bars around the township. Will definitely book this again for our next trip

Value for money - not great. I realize now that I was paying for the view only. The mini bar was just 2 bottles of over priced water - there wasn't any milk either. As the former Head of house keeping in a luxury 5 star Hotel in Auckland, I was disappointed to learn that my 2nd guest in Pent house #2 found rubbish and toenail clippings\xa0 under her bed. In my room it was the noticeable things like\xa0 crumbs in the microwave from the previous guest and there was dried tooth paste still stuck\xa0 on the side of the sink. Parking was a little bit of an issue as my partner had to park our car on the otherside in a shopping center across the road. On one of the days my 3rd guest went to go check out of her room (checkout was at 10am) It was 9:23am and she went to collect her luggage after breakfast at Salt only to find that her keys didn't work so a housekeeper doing her rounds ended up letting her back into her room. One of my major issues was that after the first night staying here, the front desk told me I owe them just over $200 dollars more for my room. Expedia you gave me a clear outline of the cost for each night with the dates plus gst. You need to communicate better\xa0 with the hotel about the rates as what you gave me was different to what was on their system. After spending $3450 on 3 rooms (2 pent house suites and 1 deluxe king) I owed more. They had to rectify your mistake.

Great location with easy walking to ocean front walkway, restaurants, museums, bike rental, post, and shopping. Do not expect a front ocean view room. The 1st floor restaurant/bar does have fantastic indoor/outdoor seating overlooking the Tasman Sea and surrounding area.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to all the main tourist spots and right by the scenic coastal walk. It made exploring the area so convenient and enjoyable. Food at Salt restaurant is also delicious.

Lovely large bed, very comfortable. Excellent restaurant and friendly helpful staff. Just beware that parking is on first come first served basis. If full you might need to park over the road from hotel. Free after 5pm.

I was able to see both the beach and Mount Taranaki from my room. The restaurant staff was very friendly and the food was good, though some might find it over priced.

Hotel was great and in a very central location. Not impressed with the restaurant service. Food was delicious but had to wait 10 mins for our drinks and almost an hour for our meal.

This hotel is situated in a very nice area. Our service in their restaurant took some time to clean our table. They said they had problems with the staff quitting. Our room was nice but we looked at coffee cups and they were not clean and had to order more. Their parking lot was full. They told us to park around the corner which charged a fee at a certain time. She said their parking would clear as restaurant guests can park there as well. She said she would call and we could come and move the car (inconvenient!). She never called and we had to move the car by 9am the following morning. Again their lot was full but we were lucky to find one last spot. It is beautiful with the coastal walkway across the street!

Overall the hotel and room were a little tired. Staff were helpful. Had problem with tv which had to get sorted at 8:30pm. Staff did their best but get the feeling the place needs some money spent on it.

Great place on the waterfront. Loved the fact they have a 9:30PM to 05:00M “night owl menu” that includes great carb heavy options if you’ve been out drinking or granola and yoghurt if you have to get up super early, before the official breakfast starts. Fair value for money. Would stay there again. Just a shame the room doors are so heavy that it wakes you up when someone shuts the door down the corridor even though no one is slamming them.

As advertised, close to Coastal walkway, pubs/ clubs food/ across the road from Bottestore and gym etc. great stay and given discount for the inhouse Salt restaurant. Only negative would be only getting 1 towel per guest, a extra towel per person would have been better.

The hotel was well presented, I was allowed early check in at about 12:30pm. The restaurant makes great coffee, I had a few and they were all very good. The rooms were tidy, clean and spacious. They also had very comfortable beds and a range of 4 different pillows to choose from, which was great. The bathroom is a little dated but very clean and tidy and in good overall condition. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to almost everything in the CBD and waterfront.
