El hotel cumple los standards de la cadena TAJ. Habitaciones impecables, instalaciones cómodas y agradables . El único pero ha sido que había una celebración de una boda y durante todo el mediodía y tarde estuvieron preparando el inmenso escenario y realizando pruebas de sonido y música . Al estar junto a la piscina hacía que esas pruebas resultasen sumamente molestas impidiendo poder relajarse y disfrutar del espacio, al final nos obligó a irnos porque el ruido era insoportable. Esta situación me parece inadmisible en un hotel de esta categoría y pagando el precio establecidos , que no es poco . He estado en más hoteles de esa categoría ( incluso siendo de la misma cadena ) y a pesar de haber alboroto por haber una boda, era totalmente asumible siendo las molestias mínimas. No obstante quiero resaltar el excelente servicio en el comedor nombrando en especial a Nikita, Muskan y Akashi siendo unos excelentes camareros . Al hacer el check out comenté lo del ruido y pidieron disculpas ofreciendo una caja de incienso, detalle de agradecer pero hay situaciones que a casi 500€ por noche considero no son aceptables .

Luxe accomodatie in Banares (Varanasi). Groot zwembad en nieuwe gym in de tuin. Mooi ontbijtbuffet. Bij aankomst wel heel druk bij de receptie. Er wordt een nieuw deel bijgebouwd naast het hotel. Geen last gehad van de werkzaamheden.

Excellent stay in Varanasi. Nice large property - oasis in the chaos of the streets of Varanasi. Property undergoing some construction updates. Main restaurant was moved to what might have been conference rooms - less than a nice eating venue. I'm sure it will all be wonderful after construction is complete.

Das Hotel war einfach hervorragend. Wellness jenseits meiner Erwartungen. Yoga Lessons mit Vikas top. Aber das unglaublichste sind die Freundschkeit des Personals: Ravi, Asif, Prachi, Prateek, Pem und Riki. Ich hoffe bald zu kommen.

A delightful bit of luxury as a relief after a two-week tour using a range of fairly budget-style hotels! The staff were all very well trained and helpful, the room was great and the food we had while there was very good. Only slight disappointment was the pool area was definitely set up for exercise rather than relaxation - no comfortable spot to enjoy a drink or light meal outside there or anywhere around the extensive grounds.

Loud flute and tabla music played in the small dining room every night. Initially entertaining, but annoying afterwards. Too many Namastes from everyone makes it look artificial - loses the natural interaction with staff. Small bar area, small dining rooms, limited food choices. Luxury with dents. Hotel antigo, com obras a decorrer estando a ser construído um novo hotel adjacente. Não obstante não se sentiu qualquer constrangimento com ruídos de obras. Zona de piscina muito agradável. SPA simpático com serviço muito bom, com destaque para Srª. Abhiram que me fez uma maravilhosa massagem. Apesar de já se fazer sentir a idade do hotel o quarto em que fiquei era bastante agradável, com cerâmico no chão o que me agradou (em vez de alcatifa ...). O ponto fraco do hotel era a restauração: pouca variedade, monótona. Num dos pequenos almoços negaram-me iogurte dizendo que não tinham.

We stayed for 2 nights at Taj Ganges. Property is nice and staff - Muskan is friendly and helpful. However, the bed sheets in one of our room had tea stains and was dirty and the bedsheet was not changed, we observed the same bed sheet was covered with another sheet next day, it kinda lacked quality of a 5 star hotel like Taj, except that food, transportation service from hotel and reception staff was great.

The staff was excellent. The room was very comfortable. I left medication in my room when they checked out and they managed to get it to the airport in time for my flight. It's very difficult to train a staff as consistently good as Taj. I'd stay there again.

Excellent Hotel . Very caring staff. Room though could have added dresser table and two chairs instead of one would be better as I missed that. Breakfast buffet was very good lots of choices. Nikita there was very helpful. I almost thought we will get shares in the company .

Amazing property .. good service .. good tour to palace hotel .. but the service here is top notch. Prachi Nishant and sourav are big help and the manager Riki is amazing. They also made sure the stay was smooth and took care of all our needs . Kitchen staff is also very attentive during breakfast . Bar tender Puni is also good at cocktails and recommends good drinks .

Need more staff at reception, it’s always overcrowded at checkout time.

The property is good but obviously not Taj standard but understandable for Varanasi . The service however specifically the breakfast resturant is a far cry from say 2 years ago to date because they starff that wander around and pay little attention to guest . We complained and they were apologetic and in departure gave us a gift .i will really like to see the realy Tajness service in future .

The Taj experience is missing at this location. Had to wait for more than 90 minutes to check in. The signature Taj hospitality for which I came back to this property is no where, unfortunately.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Checkin and initial greeting was good. The not so great: breakfast is slow, staff seem lost and confused. E.g. ordered masala tea, took over 30mins to arrive. Ordering any thing off the menu just as slow, if not slower.

Overall a very nice stay! Reception staff was pleasant, Rooms were kept nicely. Breakfast was very good. My only complaint is the service in the breakfast restaurant was average. Had to ask multiple people for coffee, tea, cappuccino before anything would be brought to us. Did not receive our drinks until we were done earling.

Checkout is horrible. I stood 40 mins to check out a room. Their check out process need to be changed. In front of me they took 4-5 check ins while keep me wait for check out

Absolutely amazing service. Buffett options were fantastic. Spa massage with Hussain is highly recommended. Salon services offered are just average and not really recommended. The hotel is very clean and comfortable,it is far from city hustle bustle .Only thing is it is far from temple.. Exceptional staff, Hospitality was excellent!! Excellent stay in Varanasi. Nice large property - oasis in the chaos of the streets of Varanasi. Property undergoing some construction updates. Main restaurant was moved to what might have been conference rooms - less than a nice eating venue. I'm sure it will all be wonderful after construction is complete.

Loved our stay at Taj Ganges. The hotel is had a wonderful gardens to walk around, the staff is so Courteous and helpful, the Chef KK takes special care of all your dietary needs. We also took a treatment at the spa and if you do I highly recommend the Abhishekha Experience with Hussain. The food has both incredible local delights and international favorites. We plan to return soon. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

The hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts- so not in congested inner city. The Taj service and hospitality is always fantastic and this property lives up to the high standards. Special mention for the breakfast room staff (Ckowk) - Deepak, Stithy and Dhananjay- they were so so nice and made the stay wonderful. Front desk Supriya was also very helpful and made every effort to make us comfortable. This is a property I would highly recommend! 5*

Owais at the front desk stood out for his charm, efficiency and courtesy. The Satvik thali at the Varuna stood out as it was absolutely delicious. The welcome was somewhat lacking and half hearted - didn’t get the drum and sweets, which I saw others receive. The rooms were clean, comfortable and turned in nicely at night. Access to the steam room was somewhat cumbersome and tedious. Having recently stayed at the Jaagir Manor, Pilibhit house, and Anandkashi - I missed the high tea.

Loud flute and tabla music played in the small dining room every night. Initially entertaining, but annoying afterwards. Too many Namastes from everyone makes it look artificial - loses the natural interaction with staff. Small bar area, small dining rooms, limited food choices. Luxury with dents. Rooms and checkin were great. What gives this less stars is that the service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is terribly slow and they forgot your order! Also lots of mosquitos inside restaurant and outside surroundings.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the Taj Ganges. Looks better in the photos. I have stayed in many Taj hotels in India, and I am currently in the new Taj hotel in Patna which is truly amazing. However the Taj Ganges is not at the usual Taj standard. It's main strength is the location, away from the noise and chaos of Varanasi, but not too far either , and the stunning gardens where you can see peacocks. Well worth taking the time to walk around the adjoining Taj heritage hotel gardens. The pool are is also fabulous. But the hotel itself not so good. I booked a Luxury pool-view room but the bathroom was tiny, and on the website it showed a bathroom with a large bath, which I would have liked after intense days in hot and humid Varanasi. Most disappointing was the bed. Every other Taj has really comfortable beds. I found this bed very hard and even with an extra duvet and using extra pillows as a mattress topper it was still uncomfortable. Also very disappointing was the food. The breakfast was ok but I paid extra for the dinner buffet and it was very tasteless. I was very disappointed as this is a Taj hotel. I just had the buffet in Taj Patna, and it was one of the best meals ever. So I'd say maybe, for Varanasi try a different brand of hotel but if you are passing by Patna definitely stay in the new Taj there! Also the staff at the concierge should know more about trains to Gaya Jnc., for Bodh Gaya. I waited 5 hours at the hot train station.

It’s a great hotel with very helpful staff and well maintained. Great restaurant and a bar available in the lobby. It’s very clean, the room is in great condition and you can get anything resolved within seconds after calling the reception. Laundry service was also quite cheap and timely. We absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi. It was probably the best service I’ve ever had in a hotel and I do travel a lot!
