Ramada Plaza by Wyndham JHV Varanasi

O quarto era bem equipado, mas tudo bem antigo. O hotel está passando por uma reforma, então tinha bastante barulho. Em frente a minha janela tinha entulho que caia dos andares superiores que estavam sendo reformados. O frigobar do quarto quase não gelava, mas funcionava. A banheira do quarto estava bastante desgastada, o que não meu muita vontade de utilizá-la. O café da manhã tinha bastante itens regionais e pouco itens mais globais. A comida indiana é boa, mas bastante específica, o que pode gerar um desconforto alimentar pela manhã. Fui super bem tratado por todos os funcionários, nota 10. Eu queria ter usado em um dos dias a piscina, mas uma das bordas estava infestado por abelhas e água não parecia limpa. A localização do hotel é afastada do centro, o que é mais positivo, pois está longe da áreas mais movimentadas e barulhentas. Ao lado do hotel tem um pequeno shopping, com restaurantes fastfood que ajuda muito na estadia.

Simply a horrible hotel. Started off with the Ramada driver pushing me to get out of my car so he could go by. Oh yeah, I did complain about him to the MOD. Unable to get any WiFi in the room - the IT Tech gave me a local WiFi to connect whilst inside the room. The room was very cold - got a filthy "blower" which is a portable heater. Of course it just blowed out all the dirt that was intact. The front office lady had no clue how to help. The room had a sign/poster of free welcome fruits only to find out it's not valid. Excuse me - so why is it in the room? Just a complete nuisance place. Oh yeah, and there is construction happening as well. Stay away.

Great hotel, it lacks character and is not a luxury hotel but it has all the things you would need and is well located out of the hectic city centre yet within easy reach of it. We loved the pool area and the breakfast was nice. Would recommend for anyone visiting Varanasi, I think having the pool really makes it!

This property was under renovation at lacked atmosphere. Rooms despite the upgrade were unfinished. Staff limited and the worse service we experienced throughout our time in India . It was overpriced for the experience however when highlighting issues the management were not interested. Intermittent hot water in the shower either scolding or cold. Despite being fairly empty unable to serve 4 meals at the same time. One person finished before the 4th person received their food , this happened twice. Generally disappointing. Not value for money compared with other stays.

The property some renovation work being carried out. The room needs a little tlc. Our bed which was a wooden base was very creakey, I suppose due to wear and tear. Unfortunately no other rooms were available to swap!

Hotel lovely and clean Room big but a little dated - old shower curtain & cracked bath. We dined in ‘Tadka’ their ‘specialist Indian restaurant’ and had a disastrous meal. We ordered lamb Vindaloo and after 20 minutes were instead served lamb with a creamy coconut sauce. I questioned this, and the chef told the waiter that he’d instead given us a mild vindaloo because we were western and would prefer it. I didn’t believe this explanation and I suspect they were perhaps just using up leftovers because this wasn’t a ‘mild vindaloo’ but instead a completely different curry (cream/coconut base). Perhaps they thought we might not know the difference. The waiting staff were apologetic and agreed that this wasn’t what we’d ordered and said they’d bring us a replacement instead. We had to wait another 20 minutes and when it arrived, it was closer resembling a vindaloo but this time there was hardly any meat and mainly just bones. (I didn’t even have one piece of meat!) Very disappointing! I’m not one for complaining normally (don’t like the confrontation and awkwardness) but this was far from what you’d expect in a 5* hotel restaurant. The restaurant manager was understanding - we could actually see them berating the chefs (a drawback of the kitchen window) making it a bit uncomfortable for everyone. They gave us complimentary desserts so I suppose the service was good. Aside from the restaurant the rest of our stay was very comfortable. Pool large & clean, service there excellent

The property was going through rennovation smelled alot of varnish n paint The rooms are too small even after booking double occupancy.The waiters dint know the menu,long wait for the order dleivery ,i ordered grilled fish was served fried fish,wrongly charged for someone elses bill,then continous calls from the reception, overall pathetic experience i wish i could rate them in minus.

Property needs better lighting fix taps noisy building works going on

The property was very good in cleanliness and location. However they had construction on the 2nd floor throughout the day with loud banging which they did not inform us on arrival. They also were banging late at night around 11,30 PM on November 17th and we had to call repeatedly to stop it. They were supposed to stop at 6.00 PM during the day and did not on November 19th. Again on November 19th night they had this plastering going on all night and music being played and we had to call repeatedly to stop it. We could not sleep. They lied that it was the UPS in the closet that made the noise. The room rent was quite high and for that we had to suffer the construction noise. The reception desk should have a record of out calls from room 4101. We expect better service and treatment from a hotel of Wyndham chain.

The rooms were noisy - we were able to hear the washroom sounds (flush) from the room next door every single time they used it. It is also a very old property it seems and so the washrooms felt like old and repaired. Lastly they have some construction still going on so that adds a bit of not so good flavour to the property.

Fridge was not working Bath was clogged.Property is out dated

Overall property and stay was good. Breakfast buffet was good and staff very helpful. WiFi was terrible and had to use cellular for data and calls. Getting hot water was intermittent which is not what you would expect for what this hotel was rated.

We found cockroaches in the rest room, shared the same video with the manager. Very little response from him. Another bathroom is flooded. Restaurant seats are dirty and minimal service.

The overall room quality felt below expectations. For example, the doors don’t close smoothly and make a loud noise, and the bathrooms were not as clean as I would normally expect. The food quality was also disappointing and noticeably below the standards of comparable hotels such as Marriott or Hyatt.

The cleaning staff and door staff were fantastic, and the food at the restaurant was very good. I had no hot water for the entirety of my stay. The front desk staff were rude, entirely unapologetic, and unhelpful. I was having trouble with Ubers canceling and asked the front desk to assist in booking a taxi for me. The guy was rude and refused to call a taxi service for me, saying that he could give me their phone number. Which obviously wasn’t helpful, as I was having difficulty managing the language barrier with other drivers. The service staff at breakfast were also rude and insolent and showed no competence in helping me navigate the menu around my food allergy. One of the chefs was very helpful at breakfast, and the rest of the staff were actively rude. This property has obviously ignored ongoing issues with hot water, so I was shocked that I had no hot water for my entire stay. There was no explanation and no apology. This hotel cost significantly more than others in Varanasi, and was not worth half of what I paid. It did not come close to five stars in any way. I spoke with a manager on my way out, and he was also unapologetic and made some empty excuses for their rude and poorly trained staff. This hotel provided little in the way of comfort and nothing in the way of service. I couldn’t even shower. Brutal. Avoid at all costs.

The staff was very nice, and the place was very clean. However, due to the age of the hotel, there were some problems with the hotel, which we wished had been better. There are sounds of water running in the pipes in the rooms, and there was an issue with hot water, where we had to keep the water running full flow for 10 mins before we got any hot water. TV remotes had dead batteries, and making any requests to housekeeping took a long time and repeated calls. However, we did get medicines delivered to us, and the food was excellent. Renovations and modernization of the rooms are definitely needed.

The hotel is located next to a shopping mall. Staff are very friendly and hopeful, especially restaurants’ staff. Hotel room is outdated, had a clogged sink when we checked in the room. I had a upset stomach on the day of checking out after eaten breakfast in the hotel.

Great place to stay outside the nboise and business of Varanasi. Convenient for the airport. Rooms were well appointed and large - beds super comfy. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options and excellent omlettes cooked to order. We also ate dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic. Staff very friendly

First time trying Ramada and me and my kids enjoyed the stay. Will stay again if we come to kasi. WiFi was poor inside the rooms and hence my daughter had to go to the lobby to work on demand. Better WiFi connections will benefit those who needs to work as part of these personal trips. Loved the shower head even-though the tub was too old.

I am not sure why Expedia classifies this as a 5 star hotel. The room was extremely old and worn out. All I can say is that this hotel room was in poor condition for a 5 star property. The hotel lobby and restaurants were in very good condition, but the rooms felt like 2 star to me.

This property is outdated. Its furnishings and bathrooms are old and need replacement. It is not modern st all. Staff is courteous and service oriented. Buffet breakfast is very good.

No hot water Outdated rooms

Stayed there for 4 days and the AC didn’t work for 2 days and 1 day there was no hot water available in the bathroom. Nobody took the ownership and everyone was just clueless. Forget 5 star, even the basic hotel will have such basic facilities which Ramada JHV failed to provide. We can understand that sometimes systems fail, but how you own it up and communicate clearly with the customer that matters. Was absolutely not worth the money I paid.

Entire night could not sleep due to wedding next door and loud speakers was on full volume. Complaint to front desk but no reply.

I was amazed to see that there was no valet service. Then the bell bous don't want to pick luggage. Once when we ordered something from the bar it took 3 reminders and 55min for it to reach us. The reason qouted was that there was internal breifing going on and they thought it was more important that guest service. No hot water beyond working hours. No coffee machine even in there top tariff suite. The breakfast was subpar. And the staff was really rude. Overall did not feel like a 5 star or a suite experience. Have stayed in Taj many times and regretted not staying there again.

Front desk staff was very rude and reckless. We booked for 3 beds but they didnot even care to provide 3rd bed. Some repair work was going on in the hotel and they provided the room just adjacent to that. It was so noisy and disturbing till evening 6pm. We travelled from USA, long hours flight, jetlag and this is the hospitality we got. We have stayed a lot in Wyndham hotels in USA but never experienced this. We should have gone with the reviews- many wrote about front desk rude behavior and carelessness. Sorry to say that the Wyndham is lossing the good name because of these.

It is a very nice hotel with large rooms. Rooms are clean and generally well maintained. It has three restaurants we dined in two restaurants that offered Indian food choice. Both were excellent. Staff is polite and willing to help. Property is bit old. Bathrooms are nice but water flow in sink is very strong and shower curtains too long.

We stayed 7 nights and we were very comfortable. Room service was excellent and food was very good. The cleaning service people were very nice and efficient. Very friendly front desk people. Check in and check out were fast. The only thing we recommend if there is a plug next to the bed to recharge our computer.

Excellent price for the package - if you’re doing a couple of days in Varanasi for sight-seeing, then the included breakfast, high tea and 2 pieces of laundry are very helpful. Frustratingly, the hotel has a “no outside food” policy, but the dining options are pretty reasonable, so it’s not too bad. You’re quite far from any of the tourist spots, so you’ll need to get autos/ taxis from the hotel every time. The overall standard of the hotel is high - much higher than I was expecting for the price. Recommended.

The staff was beys helpful and the hotel was very clean. Area feels safe. Decent breakfast. There’s a shopping centre next door with a McDonalds, didn’t go but the option is there. You can get a tuk tuk to the ghat, takes about 20 min from the area.

We were over charged, although I was asked to pay in rupees, I was charged a £30 conversion fee to convert the rupees into pounds. Although I made a complaint, they would not refund this. The service at breakfast was terrible, we had to wait around 20 minutes for an omlette & had to make repeated requests to get it.
