The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry By Hilton

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel!

Staff was very friendly, room was clean, and all amenities were up and running.

We recently stayed at The Ellie for two nights, booking two rooms for three adults and three children. We specifically chose this resort because of its advertised family-friendly amenities and activities, as this trip was meant to be a special gift for the kids. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match what was promoted on the website. It listed daily activities for both kids and adults at set times, but during our three-day stay, none of those activities took place. There was also no tiki bar open at the main pool, and while there was live music the evening we arrived, there was nothing offered after that. For the price we paid, we expected much more of a true “resort” experience. Check-in wasn’t until 4 PM, which is fairly standard, but the pool closes at 7:30 PM—leaving very little time to enjoy it after getting settled. The water slides, while fun, don’t open until after 11 AM. There are also no restrooms poolside; the only bathrooms are on the first floor. The women’s restroom was especially disappointing—it was out of soap and toilet paper for two days, even after staff was notified, and it was consistently dirty. We also experienced issues getting pool towels (none available until nearly noon one day), and many of the water spigots meant for rinsing sand off were broken or not working properly. Great view of the beach and ocean. Fishing pier was outstanding. Pools were clean but a bit cold. Front desk staff were very good, restaurant staff was okay. Tremendous amount of things to do in the area. Overall, we’ll be booking this hotel for our next trip.

The room was really nice, even though it wasnt the room i booked it definitely made up for it. My room overlloked the pool, the beach, and the pier. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was nice and big the water slides was the best! THANK YOU SO MUCH.
