I can’t speak highly enough of the Red Lion and the staff. I’ve stayed twice recently, due to business nearby, and it’s been ideal. Clean, pleasantly-decorated and spacious rooms, decent food and drink in the pub, and warm and friendly people making it effortless. Highly recommended.

Room was in good condition and staff helpful. However, in the kitchen there was no hob to cook, only a microwave, so I decided to eat in the pub: I waited over 1 hr for 1 meal and I was not that impressed for the portion size !!! Total disappointment! Better to go somewhere else the following evening. Which I did and I got a more substantial meal for the same price 20 minutes after ordering.

The accommodation was modern, spotlessly clean and tidy. The location for our requirements was excellent. There was mike and orange juice supplied in the fridge.The only criticism is that the room was very hot and there were no fans and on a personal note the double bed was very small, but these points would not stop us going back. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Excellent place to stay for 1-3 nights. Clean plenty of room and having a small kitchen area was great. Unfortunately the pub next door was shut on a Tuesday so need to revisit on a working day to samples the food.
