My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Castle Luxury Apts. The apartment had everything we needed and was extremely clean. We were able to cook a few simple meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare a meal, serve it and clean our dishes with a small dish washer. The bed was very comfy and the living area was comfortable to sit and watch tv after a long day. The location is fantastic and close to all the local attractions, the harbor, main shopping area, a large grocery store, tons of coffee shops and restaurants. It’s not on a Main Street which keeps this apt area very quiet yet close to everything. Parking was very easy and an ON charging station was a atoms throw away. The staff was very helpful and communicated with me via email in a timely and friendly manner. Easy check in and I loved being able to use a code to enter the apt and not carry a key around. I’d definitely stay again.

Wonderful location just off the center of the city. Comfortable and clean apartment. Felt very safe for a solo traveler. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. I didn’t use the other appliances. Bed was comfy and shower was fantastic. Host communication was excellent. Convenient luggage storage if you get in early, or if you are leaving the city well after check out.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people. We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot. We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available. There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

Great communication and directions to the property. Apartment in excellent location and easily walkable to Reykjavik centre with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries. On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. P3 parking just a block away. There's a little church in front of it and we always knew where we were staying when we could locate the church. The only problem we had was we couldn't access the television. The remote was broken and glued together. After 3 days they finally replaced it. In all a very pleasant stay in a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

Super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Only drawbacks were that the airport is very close meaning you hear and see large planes flying very low overhead. They don't fly late into the night or start very early though, so it didn't detract from our stay other than startling us the first time. We also had a couple issues with the keypad at the front entry, but we were still able to get in. Amazing location and very lovely stay overall though! And parking was very easy to find.

The apartment is well situated, with a nice view of the Pond. It has lots of litght, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is good and the bed comfortable. The ability to leave luggage on-site prior to arrival or at departure was quite appreciated. The reason for our 4 of 5 is the electronic key entry system that constantly troubled us, and no one on site to help us. We did not have SIM cards on our phones, so reaching the office was hard at first til we tried WhatsApp and they were only somewhat helpful. Confusing to us was the early instructions about how to engage the system at the storage location and different instructions at the front door. Had someone been there to run us through the system, our stay would have been less stressful.

This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. Every time I would type the code in it wouldn't work half the time and it even locked us out of the apartment and set off an alarm.But it reset itself after a couple of minutes. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. I would recommend key cards instead if a pin. Overall it was a great stay. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom.

Stayed in apartment 62 of Castle House Luxury Apartments. The code given in the email was for the reception building, and it’s not a key they leave, it’s a key code. I didn’t know this, so I called their number provided and I was supported to enter the apartment very quickly. Apartment is of good size. Kitchenette is small, but as expected and very pleased to see a decent sized fridge. To save money, we cooked a few meals, and we had everything we needed utensil wise. Shower was lovely, room was lovely and warm, if anything, I had to turn the radiator down despite it being freezing temperatures outside. Bed was comfy and got a full night sleep each night. Apartment was spotless and so centrally located, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family who plan to visit Iceland in the future.

The Castle House Luxury Apartments are I such a great location. Everything is within walking distance with the bus stops to most of the tours within 5 minutes walk. The apartments themselves are very clean, well equipped and warm! There is underfloor heating in the bathroom and being Iceland, instant hot water!! The beds are very comfortable, with lovely warm quilts and pillows. Check in is easy, with a key code sent to you just before you arrive and although there isn’t a reception desk you get a number to call if there are any issues and they do answer immediately and are very helpful. Would definitely come back for another stay!!

Wish they had some signage so we would have known we were standing across the street when we asked a stranger if they knew where the place was. The shower was tiny and water flooded the floor no matter what we did to keep it from happening. Great location.

The bed was comfortable and luckily we had day excursions because it was crowded and smelled like sewage and mold. We were in a small outbuilding not represented by the castle building photos advertised. We booked becuase we thought we were getting a luxery apartment. Instead we where in a converted shed or garage in the back of the building in the yard. We had to keep the window open to vent the smell. We had no view of anything but the back of the building. Could have gone to a hotel for same price and less hassle.

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

They don't fly late into the night or start very early though, so it didn't detract from our stay other than startling us the first time. We also had a couple issues with the keypad at the front entry, but we were still able to get in. Amazing location and very lovely stay overall though! And parking was very easy to find.

We did not have SIM cards on our phones, so reaching the office was hard at first til we tried WhatsApp and they were only somewhat helpful. Confusing to us was the early instructions about how to engage the system at the storage location and different instructions at the front door. Had someone been there to run us through the system, our stay would have been less stressful.

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

Stayed in apartment 62 of Castle House Luxury Apartments. The code given in the email was for the reception building, and it’s not a key they leave, it’s a key code. I didn’t know this, so I called their number provided and I was supported to enter the apartment very quickly. Apartment is of good size. Kitchenette is small, but as expected and very pleased to see a decent sized fridge. To save money, we cooked a few meals, and we had everything we needed utensil wise. Shower was lovely, room was lovely and warm, if anything, I had to turn the radiator down despite it being freezing temperatures outside. Bed was comfy and got a full night sleep each night. Apartment was spotless and so centrally located, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family who plan to visit Iceland in the future.

I booked an extra night on accident and when I called they will not do refunds. Got there and hear was off and windows open, cold as crap.People above me were loud and woke me up everyday. Didn’t like that they would come in my room everyday and put my chocolate in the fridge. If I wanted it cold I would’ve put it in there. Good location but wouldn’t go back

Wonderful location just off the center of the city. Comfortable and clean apartment. Felt very safe for a solo traveler. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. I didn’t use the other appliances. Bed was comfy and shower was fantastic. Host communication was excellent. Convenient luggage storage if you get in early, or if you are leaving the city well after check out.

The apartments themselves are very clean, well equipped and warm! There is underfloor heating in the bathroom and being Iceland, instant hot water!! On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. P3 parking just a block away. There's a little church in front of it and we always knew where we were staying when we could locate the church. The only problem we had was we couldn't access the television. The remote was broken and glued together. After 3 days they finally replaced it. In all a very pleasant stay in a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. Pleasant room with shower room and kitchenette. Everything worked, and the location is really what we paid for - very central - but calling it "luxury" does rather stretch a point. Just enough room for the two of us and our light luggage for 4 nights, It's expensive, but then everything in Iceland is. The kitchenette enabled us to save some money on breakfasts and light meals rather than eating out all the time. No regrets about booking it and would consider using it again.

Hard to get used to the 'contactless check in'. No humans around. The apartment was adequate, but there were a few things that should be addressed. I needed to iron a dress, and, yes there was an iron, and an ironing board that would sit on a table. Except that there was nowhere in the apartment where I could plug in the iron and use a table for the ironing board! I would have to rearrange the apartment. Also, the outlets in the bedroom were only accessible by crawling under the bedside tables. Would be better to place an outlet or extension where it could be more readily reached. The water smelled and tasted like sulphur and, yes there was an explanatory sign, but later on in the week we stayed somewhere else very nearby where the water was much better! On a positive note: THE BED WAS AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good value, clean warm room in the heart of Reykjavík. Check in was painless and we managed to get an early check in. It is not fancy but it does meet your needs. The big positive for this property is location, very near all the main areas for restaurants and bars but tucked out the way to be quiet. I would come back here if we come to Reykjavík again.
