We chose this hotel primarily for its pool, so we were disappointed to find it closed for our entire four-night stay. Staff said it was under repair, yet no work appeared to be underway, and other guests mentioned it has been out of service all winter. On the positive side, the complimentary breakfast was excellent and the location very convenient.

There was a black residue of some kind on bathroom and entrance way counter. The pool was out of order and we were not told until after we checked in, or I would have found another hotel then. Furthermore the clerk lied, saying it might be fixed in the morning. We checked out the next morning and moved to a Quality Inn.

Extremely clean, staff very friendly and helpful, beds comfortable. Dining nearby and within walking distance. Attractions close by. Pool was nice, also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. I would stay again and would highly recommend.

The bathtub and toilet were clean. The mattress was comfortable and clean. The four members of the housekeeping staff I interacted with were professional, friendly and attentive to my request. However, while showering for the first time, I saw the shower curtain, both the detachable, snap-off part and the main upper part, had what appeared to be blood/fecal stains. In turn, this led to an extremely poor encounter with Alicia at concierge regarding potential compensation. Rather than de-escalate the situation, she progressively responded in a louder and louder voice and cutting me off while I spoke, which I find to be completely inappropriate, esp. because it related to a sanitation problem. Other employees were courteous the rest of the stay. Breakfast options provided variation daily. My rating balances overall observations and the highly argumentative interaction that I deem improper.

My experience at this property was wonderful. I had a room with a king-sized bed, and it was very spacious, with various areas to store my stuff. The room had a cozy feel to it, and was comfortable. Parking was plentiful and easy. The hallways and elevator had a weird moldy odor, but I spent most of my time in my room or outside the hotel, which is why I didn't mind. Upon request, staff granted me late checkout which was very convenient for me. Great location, close proximity to everything in Newport. Decent breakfast. The room was clean, basic. The problem we had in the room was the TV constantly pixelating and hard to watch and the phone did not work to call the front desk.The location was convenient to the mansions in Newport. Also a good location for breakfast and coffee.

We had a wonderful one night stay for my daughter's birthday. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The check in was easy. We requested from the front desk some extra towels and a toothbrush one of us forgot to bring, and got both right away. Buffet breakfast included was a huge plus before we set off for sightseeing at the Newport mansions.

Terrific service! I stayed here to run the Newport marathon. Tonie made sure that I got a late check out and there was a fresh pot of coffee made at 4 AM. I could not have asked for more. The room was very clean. People like Tonie are an asset and examplars of superb customer service!

Hotel was in a good location with lots of nearby shopping and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating. one serious problem was that our room was not cleaned the following day. The evening assistant manager came up with fresh towels and a vacuum cleaner and was extremely apologetic and kindly discounted money from our bill. Other than this one issue the hotel offered fine service.

It was located a short distance outside Newport! The location was amide shopping centers which is not always first thought when on vacation but was convenient for picking up necessities or to get reasonable priced food or delivery to hotel! The way the hotel itself was tucked back of the Main Street made you feel removed from the commercial and gave it a quiet air!

Buffet breakfast included was a huge plus before we set off for sightseeing at the Newport mansions.

We had a wonderful one night stay for my daughter's birthday. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The check in was easy. We requested from the front desk some extra towels and a toothbrush one of us forgot to bring, and got both right away. We chose this hotel primarily for its pool, so we were disappointed to find it closed for our entire four-night stay. Staff said it was under repair, yet no work appeared to be underway, and other guests mentioned it has been out of service all winter. On the positive side, the complimentary breakfast was excellent and the location very convenient.

Extremely clean, staff very friendly and helpful, beds comfortable. Dining nearby and within walking distance. Attractions close by. Pool was nice, also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. I would stay again and would highly recommend.

Room was clean. Housekeeping staff were great. Bed was very comfortable. Bathtub had been updated w/new faucet and shower head...poorly finished; really sloppy. Tub has a slight slope from side to middle I presume to direct water but it makes standing a bit unsure as there is not a flat surfact to stand on. No non-slip surace or mat. Not comfortable because of that. Safety bar was installed on the back wall of the shower which was a bit of a stretch to reach, but more importantly, if you were holding on to the bar for safety there wasn't enough water pressure for the new shower head to reach my standing body. I'm not sure I would stay there again. Although I understand it's Newport...it was pricey for condition.

Friendly and kind staff. We stayed in a room with king size bed and a couch and had lots of room. Typical hotel bathroom…snug but workable for two. Free coffee in the lobby 24/7! Would stay there again.

A little worn down, but fine. We didn't use the pool or gym, so I can't comment on those. We did use the laundry facility, which was clean and a nice amenity. Good location for exploring Newport.
