What a cool vibing place to rest while visiting Beaufort! All the excellence of staying in a historic home combined with every creature comfort modern amenities along for the ride! The heart pine floor boards of varying widths creak which only adds to the charm of the stay! A two over two preacher’s house originally means that there are no fancy architectural embellishments, but the soaring ceilings and ample windows remind one of days gone by. I loved the honor bar and took my glass of wine to the top porch and sat up above the palmettos…did the same thing in the morning with my coffee from the coffee bar. Lovely place! Lovely stay!

I recently stayed at circa 1785 and had a fantastic experience! The self-check-in process was seamless, and the attention to detail was impressive. we really enjoyed having a glass of wine on the second-floor piazza, as well as morning coffee on the back porch with views of the waterfront across the street. The room itself was spacious with grand ceilings and you could feel the homes history. We enjoyed the Marble bathrooms with rain showers and the beds were incredibly comfortable; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful self-serve property. Our room was very large with a sitting area, and a bathroom so big you could roller skate in it. Remember your key codes, as I almost locked myself out on the back porch for a while. Would definitely stay here again, and good location to walk downtown. On a busy street, but white noise machines in the room. Honor bar for happy hour. Great place.

A very pleasant stay for a very somber trip for a family funeral. It was easy keyless entry with a very communicative team. The amenities were great, particularly ample high quality morning coffee and chilled water bottles. Safe off-street parking and close walk to downtown and church.

The hosts were so responsive, friendly, and helpful. They responded by text to my questions within minutes!!! The whole house was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. We loved the vintage charm of this place! The hosts have done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences (Wifi, TV, a guest amenity cabinet with essentials you might have forgotten, ice maker, a coffee bar , a refrigerator stocked with water and wine). I especially loved the beautiful porches where we drank our morning coffee surrounded by beautiful trees covered with Spanish moss. We were able to walk to the waterfront in about 10 minutes. Beaufort, SC is a gem. We walked all through the town and surrounding streets. Circa 1785 was perfect for our weekend getaway.

The property was nice, they are still in the Process of doing the home. A couple of suggestions : The tv was all streaming, I would add cable. A Big item; there is mole smell in the house, it affected my Partner. They are trying to eliminate The mold I don’t believe they will be successful. I think they are trying. But, I would not stay there again. I have stayed in Hundreds of places around the world.

This is an old historic home that was remodeled into a small hotel With five suites. We had 3 rooms, our friends found dirty robes and wet towels in his room. We discuss with the owner and was promised to get a refund of some percentage. I texted and followed up but nothing from the owner. The sheets and beds are nice and comfortable. We had the biggest suite and it was nice although the couches is dirty and should be steam Clean! Nice decor

The property is nice, but I was disappointed with the room. The posts on the bed made it impossible to have a clear view of the television. There was no door on the bathroom door which made privacy impossible. The shower had no door which combined with no door on the bathroom made our showers freezing. The water pressure was also low making our entire shower experience poor. Once again, we were very disappointed with our stay.

Amazing bathroom with comfy tub and huge shower. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Everything we needed. Only drawback was proximity to noisy street. This is a self serve establishment. We were provided codes to doors. There is a phone number if you need help, but otherwise there is no contact with staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival, I had to call the company and was told that the appropriate person would respond within 60 seconds. This did not happen and we waited for 30-45 minutes for a reply When I emailed the company as directed if we had a problem, their mailbox was full. Just as we were preparing to leave in search of another hotel, an email with the codes arrived. Otherwise, the room was clean and freshly made up, there was an adequate supply of towels and our stay overall was quite pleasant, indeed much above average. I would book again, and hopefully by then the system will have been improved.

The virtual check in was certainly unique and while it seemed we received text messages from a ‘customer service team’- there was no reply when we reported difficulty and a mishap with the door lock. Definitely good value for the price. We did enjoy our VERY brief stay!

Beautifully done rooms, and I love the history they kept in the home. Despite historic charm this place has all the amenities of a luxury room at a hotel. Very clean and easy check in with texts providing codes. They also went above and beyond sending messages to see how you were doing throughout the duration of your stay. This will be a top choice when I return to Beaufort.
Beautifully done rooms, and I love the history they kept in the home. Despite historic charm this place has all the amenities of a luxury room at a hotel. Very clean and easy check in with texts providing codes. They also went above and beyond sending messages to see how you were doing throughout the duration of your stay. This will be a top choice when I return to Beaufort.

A very pleasant stay for a very somber trip for a family funeral. It was easy keyless entry with a very communicative team. The amenities were great, particularly ample high quality morning coffee and chilled water bottles. Safe off-street parking and close walk to downtown and church.

Beautiful, renovated house with huge rooms, huge bathrooms, nice walk to and from Bay Street for Dinner. Ice machine, wet bar and coffee bar are a nice touch. Highly recommend and completely enjoyed.

We went to Beaufort for our anniversary and had an amazing stay at Circa. It’s an old souther mansion divided into luxury sweets. It’s in walking distance to downtown and is very clean and charming. We would stay here again.

Only drawback was proximity to noisy street. This is a self serve establishment. We were provided codes to doors. There is a phone number if you need help, but otherwise there is no contact with staff. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved this place! It is impeccably clean, the furnishings are beautiful, and it had extra surprise amenities like a coffee bar and a wine bar. Super comfortable beds. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants and coffee shops. This is our new favorite place to stay in Beaufort.

The hosts were so responsive, friendly, and helpful. They responded by text to my questions within minutes!!! The whole house was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. We loved the vintage charm of this place! The hosts have done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences (Wifi, TV, a guest amenity cabinet with essentials you might have forgotten, ice maker, a coffee bar , a refrigerator stocked with water and wine). I especially loved the beautiful porches where we drank our morning coffee surrounded by beautiful trees covered with Spanish moss. We were able to walk to the waterfront in about 10 minutes. Beaufort, SC is a gem. We walked all through the town and surrounding streets. Circa 1785 was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Beautiful self-serve property. Our room was very large with a sitting area, and a bathroom so big you could roller skate in it. Remember your key codes, as I almost locked myself out on the back porch for a while. Would definitely stay here again, and good location to walk downtown. On a busy street, but white noise machines in the room. Honor bar for happy hour. Great place.

The house is beautiful and has great charm. Just understand that there is no front desk or help for service. If you run out of toilet paper, don’t know how you would get more except by request via text. There was no cable TV for local news . Also, they should supply body wash. Not a major problem, just a suggestion. The hotel was in a great location. You could walk to restaurants. There was no breakfast but a cute cafe a block away. I would definitely stay again.

The accommodations was comfortable and nice. My only criticism was the shower head. The rain shower sounds fun but it's not practical and the handheld kept sliding down on the mounting bar. I had to tie it up. Besides that everything else was fine.

Very nice room, decorated very nice, good coffee in through out the visit via coffee make right outside the room door, quiet room. Air conditioner was difficult to control. would not lower. Needs to be looked at. One towel hook on wall was loos and ready to fall off. Needs to be tightened. Other than that it was a very nice comfortable, quiet and relaxing stay.

I would stay here again and again. I love the ambiance and charm of the historic home which still shines through along side the luxurious updates in the beautiful bathroom, soft rugs, comfy bed. They have thought of everything and provided a beautiful space to enjoy it in. Games, toiletries, coffee, water, an honor wine bar upstairs. I cannot wait to go back. The room was beautiful with modern decor. There was a huge hutch in the hallway that contained snacks and any toiletries you could think of. While there is no staff on site, any questions I had were promptly answered via text. I will definitely stay here again!
