The room was nice. But the wi-fi wasn't working properly(and was given two to use). The closest elevator was out of service, so had to walk further to get up to my room. There wasn't much dining within safe walking distance. The staff was nice but the text communication they used was unresponsive. Again, the room itself was quite nice.

Having a kitchen to cook was amazing. The staff is really helpful. The pool is only 3' deep so it has limited uses. It is an apartment, so kind of what we expected in terms of hearing neighbors above us. Our unit faced the interior courtyard, which was nice that we didn't hear any street noise. The area is nice and walkable.

The room was nice, clean, good location, and the were nice outdoor spaces. But the access via code entry was really annoying. There’s a 6 digit code that you have to enter every time you have to get through any door even the elevator back down to the lobby. It was excessive and super finicky. I even got stuck in the elevator at one point because when my code wasn’t working the door closed and it wouldn’t let me go back up or open the door to get out at lobby level, I didn’t have my phone and it at least let me get to the basement, luckily a cleaning staff member was able to let me back up.

Property is very well kept. One of the two elevators were not working so had to walk to the other side of the building to use the elevator. Pin to the door wasn’t working so get an old fashion metal key from the lobby. Besides that, great price for the property and enjoyed the apartment.

The location to the convention center was great. It was around the corner from the restaurant Moonshine that was amazing. My only critique is the laundry set up is confusing it could be better especially since to purchase a card for 1 time use was $10. And the roof top deck was pretty but the furniture could be cleaner and better kept. Overall this was a perfect hotel and I highly recommend it.

Parking issue was a very unpleasant surprise. Apartment was very nice. Ice maker was not working properly. Pool was great for kids, but wasn’t very clean. The lounge chairs were stained/dirty. People would smoke out on their balconies, which had a very negative impact to the pool experience. It was a holiday, so there was a lot of noise throughout the night. Again, the apartment itself was a great size and layout for our family.

check in was a little shaky bc our code didn't work and had to go downstairs to get a physical key. overall the apartment was nice for a weekend stay, only thing is that it gets extremely foggy in the apartment and the countertops and floors were all wet due to the condensation (it was raining heavy when we came). otherwise, cute apartment & nice area. oh, you won't find parking on the street, you literally have to park in their garage and they charge around $30 a day. that should be included in the information when booking but oh well.

There was a road closure right in front of building that I didn’t know about when booking and only when I checked in they informed me. It’s in a desolate area that felt cut off and I didn’t feel safe walking around. This is not a hotel it is an extended stay and it felt too quiet and isolated. Right next to train tracks so noisy. The corridors smell like poo mixed with cleaning products and even the apartment itself occasionally smells intensely bad. The balcony door right next to the interstate doesn’t close nicely and it’s noisy. Quite a few long black hairs here and there. But the location is close enough to walk into downtown and I appreciated self-parking which is rare in Austin.

The property was close to the Austin convention center and made it really easy to get to my conference sessions. However, I had to kill roaches in the room. When I told the front about it they just said they would take care of it, no offer to reduce the payment for needing to kill roaches and check all my bags and clothes to make sure I didn’t bring any home with me. I stayed on the second floor.

The staff was friendly and the place is in a great location. Unfortinately we could not rest properly because the mattress was in such a bad condition, and there was a lamp right in front of the room which the blinds didn't properly cover. Also, we found a few roaches

Room was pretty, but not super clean. We wanted a river view, but it was all loud construction & I mean LOUD(which I know they can’t help much.) But we got there and were instantly charged for parking that we didn’t agree to! I told the lady at the front desk that we had updated our reservation months ago to just 1 night. She refunded me, but it takes days to go back to your card. So better communication could’ve solved that! I also would have appreciated a heads up on parking that was that high! Pool was the reason we stayed here… not super nice like we were hoping. Probably won’t stay here again :( But Austin & San Antonio are a dream, would recommend staying in San Antonio.

Staff was great. Layout of unit was cute, but a bit strange for me. Bed up in the loft, but you have to go down cold steel stairs to get to the bathroom. A TV and a ceiling fan would have been good in the loft. No soda/vending machines? Huge issue for me.

I guess it just depends on which unit you get, but we were facing the highway and could hear people getting on the on-ramp all night long. In the description, we got the impression we would have a city view. There is 24 hour desk service, which is nice and makes communication easier. The pool only gets sunlight during certain hours of the day and is not heated, so it was pretty chilly.

Excellent location, walkable to 6th street, Rainey street and the east side. On the metro line. Units were clean, comfortable, and modern. Cheaper than a hotel room, with more space and a kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

My recent stay at a hotel in downtown Austin was overall a very positive experience. The location couldn't have been more convenient. Being within easy walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants made exploring downtown a breeze. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth thanks to the private code entry system. Having onsite parking available, while costing $35 per day, was a definite plus for those driving into the city. I also found the hotel to be reasonably priced for its prime downtown location. I was quiet excited to book this apartment for me and my sister to enjoy a family weekend with local family members. However, the stay was just ok, it was a place to sleep, nothing special AT ALL about this property. I think the check in time is far too late, especially for the price I paid. The parking fee should be reduced especially for those taking the expensive apartments. Further, and most annoying of all our apartment (2 bedroom duplex) was SO loud from street noise that I had to sleep with ear plugs. I live in Manhattan and do not need earplugs. I was disappointed with the lack of transparency about the noise. The terrace was completely unusable because of the noise. Lastly, there was an incredibly aggressive and rude employee who clearly needs to learn hospitality 101 who blocked me from entering the garage. This person should be not have a customer facing role. In fact, the employee should not have a role in the company, clearly this is a toxic person who cannot control their emotions. Too bad Placemakr.

Overall HORRIBLE experience. This was a very confusing process and the employees had no idea what was going on. Every person I talked to had a different answer and none were helpful. I also had to fight 4 employees to get a receipt, and that receipt didn’t even match the charge on my card. I would never stay here again. Don’t waste your money or time here.

The room was nice, clean, good location, and the were nice outdoor spaces. But the access via code entry was really annoying. There’s a 6 digit code that you have to enter every time you have to get through any door even the elevator back down to the lobby. It was excessive and super finicky. I even got stuck in the elevator at one point because when my code wasn’t working the door closed and it wouldn’t let me go back up or open the door to get out at lobby level, I didn’t have my phone and it at least let me get to the basement, luckily a cleaning staff member was able to let me back up.

From check in to check out, we had an amazing experience here. Located in a very convenient location in the heart of Austin, the property and the room itself was clean, felt safe with the security system they have in place, and every staff member we encountered were all friendly. Would love to stay again on our next visit and would give them a 10/10.

There was a road closure right in front of building that I didn’t know about when booking and only when I checked in they informed me. It’s in a desolate area that felt cut off and I didn’t feel safe walking around. This is not a hotel it is an extended stay and it felt too quiet and isolated. Right next to train tracks so noisy. I had a great stay at Placemakr in downtown Austin. The apartment building is conveniently located next to I-35 so easy in and out to the city, but was also walkable to restaurants and bars. The property is clean and has some really cool shared spaces. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Close to downtown. The river walk across the sheet is currently closed for construction but it’s easy to walk around. The freeway outside was a bit loud but walking to grab groceries was a 10 minute walk. I would stay here again.

The room was nice. But the wi-fi wasn't working properly(and was given two to use). The closest elevator was out of service, so had to walk further to get up to my room. There wasn't much dining within safe walking distance. The staff was nice but the text communication they used was unresponsive. Again, the room itself was quite nice.

The kitchen had the essentials, but was lacking some items you would need to really prepare meals. Fortunately, we didn’t cook during the few days we were there. The rooms were nice and had the basics, but the furniture wasn’t real comfortable in the living room, and the bedrooms basically had a bed and nightstand. That’s it.

Having a kitchen to cook was amazing. The staff is really helpful. The pool is only 3' deep so it has limited uses. It is an apartment, so kind of what we expected in terms of hearing neighbors above us. Our unit faced the interior courtyard, which was nice that we didn't hear any street noise. The area is nice and walkable.

All good, location better then first realised - the uber found another placemkr but not hotel fault - only prob was the bed had a huge gap where the pillows are (so fold it against the wall, erm why? And no sweetener for the coffee machine in reception

We went in knowing this is a self-service apartment with little to no interaction with staff necessary. However, any interaction we had with the desk was friendly, courteous and a credit to the property. We're used to travelling this way, and made full use of the apartment facilities which included a kitchen, pull down bed, full bathroom, lots of storage, and a lounge area. We arrived to find the apartment very clean and tidy, with everything we needed to get settled in. There are plenty of stores within walking distance to stock up the kitchen for your stay, and the delivery apps all serve the area with groceries and take out food. There was no safe in the room but the door works by six-digit code and as the room's cleaning is your own responsibility, nobody is going in and out of the room unless you pay for the optional cleaning service. Overall, most guests obeyed the quiet-time rules, though the walls and spaces do allow sound in, so expect a little noise from surrounding apartments or outside in the courtyard. The whole building was immaculately clean, there's a gym, pool, and lifts and stairwells to get around the place. It feels modern, well-maintained and in a good location for downtown, with the more trendy areas only a half hour walk or short cab ride away. It's also only a 20-30 minutes drive from the airport and major retail parks for the super targets and Walmarts. I'd stay here again and will recommend it to my friends and family.

Staff was great. Layout of unit was cute, but a bit strange for me. Bed up in the loft, but you have to go down cold steel stairs to get to the bathroom. A TV and a ceiling fan would have been good in the loft. No soda/vending machines? Huge issue for me.

Very convenient location just steps away from the convention center. The apt was like a small cute apt for an undergrad. It had a full kitchen, washer, dryer, small living room, balcony and bedroom. Appreciated the privacy and the convenience. Would stay here again.. Thank you!

The location to the convention center was great. It was around the corner from the restaurant Moonshine that was amazing. My only critique is the laundry set up is confusing it could be better especially since to purchase a card for 1 time use was $10. And the roof top deck was pretty but the furniture could be cleaner and better kept. Overall this was a perfect hotel and I highly recommend it.

I just want to give a shoutout to the friendly staff. I was greeted with warmth and kindness from the staff along with a refreshing cup of lemonade. Most importantly, I wanted to give an extra shoutout to the front desk and housekeeping employee (Gri***** & Jim***) I have to redact their full names as per hotels.com policy. We left some jewelry (engagement ring/wedding band/gold earrings) behind during our stay. I called and the front desk immediately provided her support and reassurance. She contacted the cleaning department and she was the one that found the jewelry hidden under some face towels. She placed all of our belongings in lost and found. To be able to have such trustworthy staff makes me confident in my future stays. Going over the top is priceless nowadays. May those two get the recognition they deserve.

The only complaint I had was that they had parking available and so we paid for that— but after getting back from a late Austin FC game there were no longer spots available in the lot (likely because some people had parked very poorly and taken up more than one spot— so I don’t blame them for the situation— but it was pretty frustrating, unfortunately I don’t have a suggestion to help alleviate the situation, but I had to mention it.) I was thankful that they refunding the parking for me. So I appreciate that. The room was lovely- very clean, we took advantage of the weather/drier. It was great!
