THE HOTEL ROOMS DO NOT HAVE A/C

Fit the bill. Value for money. Property is dated. Breakfast is plenty but basic. Tinned romatoes, mushrooms and fruit salat but good selection of cereals and fresh apples/ bananas. Parking on the premises, short walk to trains/ tube.

I chose this hotel for the parking but there was no suggestion that there was an additional charge, so not happy that we had to pay in their own car park!!

Located just out of London some 25 minutes tube ride, pleasant little hotel, clean and comfortable, although a little noisy with my room being at the front road side, but not an issue. Great value overnight parking in the hotel court yard was a very welcome addition for London. Really pleasant staff and helpful, gave great directions and a list of places to eat locally, somewhat tight for space but not unexpected for London. 24 hour front desk and located directly opposite Finsbury park, made for a pleasant morning walk. Over all excellent

Cramped and tired hotel.... but cheap and convenient location so you get what you pay for. Parking was a bonus (£10) and the staff were excellent, allowing us to have a slightly earlier check in at no extra charge. 2x EV charging points available in the car park too (chargeable). Definitely no frills!

This hotel was very basic, with no evening dining option. The room was small, but did have everything I needed. The breakfast was limited. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

This is a great property. Convenient location for the tube into London (10 minute walk), has affordable parking and easy to get too. Staff were amazing (except one who appeared to be having a bad day), room although small was great value for London. Nice cold air conditioning, great shower water pressure, elevator on site - lots of benefits. There is a lot of noise from the road at the front of the hotel but they did offer ear plugs in the room though. Breakfast available for a fee, mostly clean throughout ( a few stains in our bedroom carpet), but these were minor.

Room very small, bed incredibly uncomfortable, bathroom dated and not exactly clean. Car parking charged at £10 despite no mention of a fee when booking. But the breakfast was without doubt the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. It actually must take some effort to make a cooked breakfast of such poor quality. No doubt literally days of effort based on the bacon which looked like it had been cooked a few days before. Even the continental part was cheap and nasty. Staff all polite and helpful.

Basic hotel close to London and a walk to train stations and many restuarants. Simple room with comfortable bed, Simple but plentiful breakfast. GBP10 a day for onsight parking. Hotel is dated but clean and had everthing we needed

Very convenient for events at Finsbury Park. Room was clean and beds comfy.

Room was not cleaned during the stay at all Needs updating and a good damn deep clean. The bathroom was nice, clean and updated. The dove soap was a nice addition

We stayed for a gig at Finsbury Park so the hotel is a perfect location. Functional room. Basic facilities. The hotel decor is a little tired and could do with modernising but the room was clean and suitable for an overnight stay.

I had been there for 3 nights, and no one came to clean. It was dirty all 4 days and 3 nights. Something felt off from the very first night, and on the last night, I discovered bedbugs in the bed. No one should have to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the tube past Finsbury Park. The hotel staff were very helpful but the place needs an update. We were in the family room which is in the carpark, not great first thing in the morning with noises of deliveries. The TV didn't work very well even using the buttons on the side, the plug socket wasn't working for the kettle so we had to move it, the carpet was covered in stains and the whole place gave kids residential accommodation. Breakfast was ok, small variety but adequate.

Staff were very friendly but the room was very tired. Kettle really old and dirty. Mugs were dirty. Only one remote for the two TV's in the apartment. Broken radiator temperature gauge which wasnt safe for the children. Had to switch boiler on for an hour to get hot water. I have never had to do this in any hotel before.

My first impression, was "dirty". I mean the hotel in general, I understand that it is in a busy area, but that is the impression I got. The service was at it's most basic. While I see the need for explaining the rules, I was greeted with everything that I can't do, as opposed to welcoming me to the hotel. I felt as though I was burdening the hotel with my presence. Example: I assumed, wrongly I admit, that coffee was complimentary to guests. I am an American and this is a custom in the US. Totally my fault. So, halfway through pouring a cup, I was escorted out of the dining room, up the stairs, down the hallway, all the way to the front desk and asked to pay $2. Then I was allowed to return to retrieve my half cup. A simple comment from the staff, and I would have gladly paid for it. Instead, I was treated like a criminal. I felt so unwanted there, I asked to leave early. They said I could check out early, but it would cost me a out $200 per day for changing my reservation. I was so disappointed in this hotel, I left anyway. I didn't even have a place to go, I just drove away.

Given a room down below reception, at front of property. Noise from busy road, but most annoying was the noise from above, scraping of furniture throughout the night

Great stay here at the Best Western. Location was very handy for transport links via tube at Manor House on the Piccadilly line and LT bus. Staff were first class throughout, from reception team to housekeeping. Nothing was too much trouble. Also, the room we had at the rear of the hotel was exceptionally quiet. We would happily come back to this hotel on a future visit.

This hotel is as basic as it gets... it is actually more a B&B. It is badly in need of upgrading... rooms are old and worn and tiny. Hotel is also next to a v busy road so bring your earplugs. Staff were lovely and helpful though so can't fault them there

Good location, nice hotel, but could not sleep as the heating was on full blast, we couldnt turn it down, opened the window but it made for a very uncomfortable night

Awful. Cannot believe the good reviews. It’s probably the worst Expedia booking I have made. We booked for two night but left after one night. The room was so small and dated, it was ridiculous. Don’t bother really!

Very clean, nice breakfast. Quiet at night. Across street from park. 8 min. Walk to tube station. But, very small room. Less than 2 ft. clearance around bed.

Rooms are small & not sound proofed We asked for a quiet room & we got it. Hotel is tired & needs updating Staff were all great & helpful.

I unfortunately left my prescription medicines in my room and did not discover it until I was long out of the city. I contacted the hotel and they said they had my meds and would ship them to me for a price and I understood that. . Then an hour later they contacted me and said they would also have to charge another amount for going to the trouble of shipping it. I thought this to be very unnecessary and not very customer friendly at all. Made the difference in my decision to just chalk it up to my loss and avoid this place in the future.

Asked for three seperate beds when booking but arrived to a double bed and a single. The girl at reception gave us an alternative room and was very easy to deal with. A better stay than expected. Thank you to the staff.

Good location for commute to central London

We were staying for two nights for a family break. The family room was adequately sized - the beds took up almost all the space, but that was fine as we didn't spend much time in the room. The beds themselves were very comfortable with clean linens. There was no wardrobe, just a rail with some hangers, which was sufficient. The small bathroom had an excellent shower and was very clean. The TV was limited with many channels not available, but we managed to find some. Overall the room was very good and the only thing that was not so great was that the safe had an dirty baby's milk bottle in it, which smelled bad. Breakfast was ok. Several cereals, juice, yoghurt, small plates of ham and cheese, toast, sausages, bacon, scrambled egg (possibly the instant stuff as wasn't flavoursome), plum tomatoes, mushrooms (unpleasant) and pastries (the packaged kind, not fresh). Machine coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping noticed we were using earplugs and left us some fresh ones on Saturday (there were 3 of us in a room with 2 snorers, plus there was traffic noise from an open window as the aircon was too fierce). The hotel is opposite Finsbury Park and the area immediately around the hotel is ok. The underground station is a 12 min walk and the closer you get to the station the dirtier it gets. Lots of rubbish and folx hanging around. I was with my husband and son and we came back from a show late Saturday. I may have felt on edge had I been a lone female.

Great Hotel, it’s close to every metro and bus station. Also there’s a nice park next to the Hotel.

Good spot for Emirates. Clean hotel, not the quietest though.

Location was convenient for public transportation. But the area around the property was a bit sketchy.

Nice hotel for a one night stay (for an event at Ally Pally). Good location by Finsbury Park (but on a noisy road !). Easy to get to Finsbury Park station area for travel, shops & cafe's.

Price: very competative Location: Excellent. Park in front of the hotel,shops, cafes, banks, post office, underground, ... all within a wlaking distance Service: Excellent Cleaniness: very clean Room size: decent Disadvantage: on a main street, however the noise level was not as bad as excpected

Clean, quiet, good value and staffed with helpful people. The plug was stuck in the sink in the bathroom so the sink could not drain. I don't think it should have been left like that. Breakfast was okay but not very inspiring.

The perfect place for an overnight stay when working in London. It was convenient for transport links. The staff were helpful and the place was clean and tidy. The hotel is a bit 'tired' decor wise but was great for my requirements.

We stayed in one of the small flats next to the main building. The room was a bit dated and didn't particularly feel clean. In met our requirements though. We had a problem with the toilet which continuously plugged during our stay. The breakfast was nice and convenient and the staff were very friendly.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Best Western London Highbury, even though I’d been given a free upgrade! The room was extremely dated, no air con, a boiler in the cupboard which ticked throughout the night, a tiny bed. The bath was tiny (lengthwise about 3/4 of a standard bath) and breakfast was dreadful, beans were black, sausages were grey, fruit was past its best. Such a shame because the staff were lovely, but definitely won’t be returning
