Leonardo Boutique Hotel Amsterdam Vondelpark

Hotel has no ramp to move the luggages feom the street to front desk, event to our room on the 2nd floor you must take starts so very hard to move in the hall with luggages. Carpet in the whole hotel looks very dirty.

This hotel is in need of an update. Hallway walls are in rough shape. Carpet in halls and rooms is in serious need of being replaced. Laminate floor in room was filthy. Cleaning staff needs to kick it up a notch.

Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, das Haus von außen auch. Allerdings ist, wie das bei Altbauten so ist, im Inneren der Platz sehr begrent. Manche (nicht alle) der Zimmer sind so klein und eng, dass man sie im Grunde nicht anbieten kann. Meiner Mutter wurde ein ebenerdiges Zimmer (Nr. 054) zugewiesen, in dem sie nicht mal den Koffer hätte abstellen können, die Toilette befindet sich ohne Abtrennung direkt im Raum. Positiv muss man sagen, dass die (an sich ziemlich nüchterne und unfreundliche) Dame am Empfang uns nach Protest ohne Aufpreis ein größeres Zimmer für sie zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Das Bad in meinem Zimmer war schon recht alt und hatte deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Das Frühstück ist lecker.

Bra service. Bra läge. Rymliga rum. Saknade en loungehörna där man kan sitta och diskutera vad man gjort innan sänggående. Gärna att man kan ta någon dricka också.

Hotel bom mas não tinha elevador até o quarto, que ficava no subsolo do hotel. Condição não informada no momento da reserva. Existia a oferta de quarto no andar superior, mas não dizia que o outro seria no subsolo sem elevador.

The reason I rated the hotel as average was that it was very difficult for seniors with luggage. The front entrance did not have a ramp as an alternative to carrying luggage up the stairs. In addition, each floor had steps to contend with depending on where your room was.

The room had a slanted ceiling at the foot of one side of the bed, you had to duck to get in that side. The room itself was extremely clean but the corridors were awful, old stained carpets and dark dingy walls. I was pleased to see the room was not in the same condition. The bed was okay.

Schön zentral gelegene Unterkunft, mit guter Bus/Bahn- Anbindung, auch zum Flughafen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ansich, ist allerdings schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Überarbeitung, bzw. Erneuerungen im Bad und der Teppichböden der Gänge wären keine Luxussanierung sondern notwendig.

Bed and bathroom were clean but the carpet was very old and worn and didn’t look clean or vacuumed. Corridors were equally looking a bit rundown. It’s in a great area though for transportation to the airport and a quick walk into town. It was quiet at night as well. I was only there briefly but check in and out were simple and staff were helpful.

Nice to have the elevator to get bags to and from the room. Stairs were convenient after bags were placed in room! Walkable to what we wanted to see and the trams/trains were easy and accessible

The air conditioning in the room did not work, very hot, when I rented the room I looked for it with air conditioning, there it said that the room had it, but it did not work or they controlled it and did not put it on, the water in the shower did not drain, the room had to be asked to be cleaned by cell phone and they did not do it either, although I requested it

I like the location. I didn't like my initial room given to me wasn't clean. The second room, the bathroom, had mildew in the shower, on the shower floor, and on the walls.

Sale et puanteur horrible

Almost no room pickup/cleanup unless requested. Even with a request, bed was not striped and trash cans not emptied. Toilet not even cleaned. AC non functional and room smelled of moldy water. Great front desk staff - just poor maid service and mechanical.

Smutsigt, påpekar utan markant förbättring. Slitet, luktade konstigt, otryggt.

La struttura è in posizione ottimale sia per raggiungere la zona dei musei sia per andare in centro , camera essenziale come le zone comuni , la cosa che ci ha lasciati perplessi è il dover richiedere la pulizia della camera.

The good: location is great, price is reasonable, beds are comfortable. Welcome chocolate on your bed at arrival is a nice touch. The bad: room is dusty, dirty and aged. This place hasn't seen any updates or deep cleaning probably since opening day. The Ugly: This is the worst hotel experience ever! From check in to room service and cleanliness this establishment should be ashamed to even be open. We asked for our room to be serviced 3 days into our stay, room was never serviced all housekeeping did was remove two bags of trash that were on the side and give out one roll of toilet paper. All dirty towels were left in the room, bed was not fixed all other amenities were not replenished. I asked the housekeeping on our floor to please give me some clean towels, toilet paper, and tissues and she had an attitude. I placed the dirty towels and trash bags outside of my room. She came and knocked on my room door and told me not to do leave stuff outside the room like that. I said where am I supposed to put it if this room was supposed to be cleaned but it wasn't. She said your room is not on my list, I responded if the room was not on the list then why did someone enter the room to only remove two trash bags and put one roll of toilet paper in there. What was the purpose of anyone coming in. Terrible experience.

La posizione dell’hotel è ottima e la zona tranquilla, il personale gentile e disponibile e la colazione buona. La camera era spaziosa ma andrebbe fatta un po’ di manutenzione ordinaria e migliorata la pulizia che comunque va richiesta (ad esempio nel bocchettone dell’aria condizionata c’erano degli asciugamani arrotolati, la guarnizione della doccia cadeva, i corridoi comuni delle camere con una moquette vecchia e maleodorante) ma nel complesso un buon hotel per soggiornare due/tre notti.

Hotel in posizione molto comoda per raggiungere i vari luoghi di interesse. Camere molto piccoline, il servizio di pulizia è su richiesta. Colazione non fornitissima ma direi buona.

Only 10-15 walk from 2 different tram stops. The hotel room was large for a solo traveller. They gave water bottles and stored my luggage after checkout. But it was very noisy, the doors would slam loudly, I could hear the shuffling steps of people in the room above me, and I could hear everything outside even with the window closed.

The AC worked the first few days but stopped on the third day and then was miserable. The bed was very comfortable. The ceiling and curtains needed cleaning.

Location is good but our room was 85 degrees and when we complained they brought a mobile air unit which did not help. Sleeping was miserable and with more insistence we finally got a new room. The following day power was out and we were unable to shower and get ready for dinner. No apologies and no offer for compensation. More like a hostel. Not worth the price.

Staff was courteous, polite, and professional. Below ground room was noisy because restaurant and lobby were above it. Overall, this hotel was a great stay and I would recommend it and stay here again just not on any of the rooms that begin with 001 or 002. My overall rating is good to excellent.

Negative first- so prior to the holiday the hotel messaged to ask my room preferences. I messaged back and on arrival these had been completely ignored. We had been given twin beds rather than a double (2 twins connected together). Avoid the basement rooms as these are dark, without privacy, and noisy. Had to pull the curtains on my first day there as cleaning staff sat outside on my rooms window ledge talking and smoking. As the lights were on you can see through the net curtains - they could see what my family were doing! Complained to the lobby staff who said they were fully booked and offered to move us to a very small double room which wasn’t suitable as needed a bed for my daughter. They offered us two separate rooms but again not suitable to split a 13yr old from her parents. After explaining this they then offered to find us a room the next day as had multiple people checking out so we agreed with this. Positive- after this rough start the second room was perfect- light, roomy, on a higher floor and a “double” bed. This was the holiday we had booked and saved for as we were finally able to enjoy ourselves. The mini fridge was handy for our snacks and evening drinks, the coffee machine was good but needs to have bigger cups in the room to accommodate the ‘full cup’ option. The breakfast selection was amazing but did dwindle by the end of the week. The little sweets and apples by reception were a good touch to take out with us. Everything turned out well in the end!

Located on a quiet street, just a block away from lots of dining options, shopping, and museums. rooms are very small. breakfast is offered for an additional cost.

Good location and friendly staff. Room was good but smaller than we thought--no place to open the suitcase, and the AC was really only a fan, so the room was too warm.

Would not recommend this place. The place was not the cleanest. You do not get a room cleaning service… and the staff was not the friendliest. Just spend the couple extra dollars and stay at the marriot next door

El personal es pésimo, nefasto, deplorable, no tienen ni idea lo que es brindar un servicio, que se supone es a lo que se dedican, parece que te hacen un favor. Si bien es cierto el alrededor es bonito, califico mal el hospedaje por la falta de empatía y calidad en el servicio. Alrededor hay más opciones !!!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Rhe optional amenities at the counter were so helpful. They let us check in hours before check in and held our bags after checkout. Clean and cute and easy to find

Hotel staff provided excellent customer service. They each were very kind and personable. Each time I had a request the staff responded promptly. One of the front desk staff even assisted me with cutting the tags off of a new sweater that I purchased since I didn’t have scissors. A big thank you to the staff at Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam City Center!

Amazing! Accommodated our early arrival, beds were comfortable, walking distance to many restaurants.

The staff was very friendly from when I walked in, they were patient with my reservation. I had issues dealing with the airline and my luggage, they took the time to help me call the airline and sort out my problem. Hotel was in close proximity to museums, shops and restaurants.

Both the service and property were disappointing. The location was okay, and close to museums, restaurants etc. This is not a property I would be inclined to return to. Poor service detracted from anything remotely positive at this property.

Front desk help was consistently outstanding! Very welcoming and professional. Had a minor maintenance issue that was promptly and cheerfully resolved. Enjoyed the quiet location and great breakfast. 5 stars!

Great location, easy access to all attractions.

This was a great hotel. Very central to everything in the city. Easy to walk to places as well as using public transportations such as trams, trains and buses. The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. The only down side to this hotel is that the shower leaks all over the bathroom floor every time you use it. Other than that it’s the perfect place to stay when in the center of Amsterdam!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Perfectly located, you can get anywhere by foot. I look forward to staying there again next time I'm in Amsterdam!

Very convenient to museums and tram. There is a bus that goes from the airport to a block from the hotel. You don’t need to take the train. I didn’t use housekeeping- it seems it is available but for three days I didn’t use it. I felt it was an extra in a way.

Excellent service, particularly from reception and (mostly) at breakfast. Good location for transport, handy for Rijksmuseum and Vondel park. The lighting in room 151 wasn't good; with the curtains closed and all the black-shaded lights on it was too dim for dressing. The radiators are wastefully behind the curtains, themselves not easy to draw. What is the point of the silenced tv at breakfast? No one watched it or could listen. The flickering screen was distracting.

Good hotel in great location for exploring Amsterdam. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast well worth paying for. Rooms comfortable and quiet so some good nights sleep.

Hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good, the bacon was not so good on the second morning (overcooked) but everything else was good. Complementary water and coffee machine in the room was nice. They provided us with toothbrushes and toothpaste. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Really a 2 1/2 star property. Pros: Clean, nice staff, close to museums. Tram access close-by. You will need that tram. Get the GVD app and pre-buy a public transportation 1-3 day pass on your phone. Totally worth it. Cons: Small rooms, run down overall. Hot food at breakfast buffet often cold. A 30-minute walk to the train station and tourist areas that are not museums.

Good location. Quiet. Good breakfast with nice cafe.

The coffee and the breakfast option was not the best . The rest was very good!
