The room was clean. The toilet was broken, though quickly rectified. The shower worked but with extremely hot water, which could not be changed, hop in/out. The lift was out of order the whole week I was there, I was on the third floor. Surely maintenance should be regularly checked?

5 night getaway with the Dog Plenty of Parking on arrival - £5 per night Easy check in - £10 per night for Apollo (dog) Found the room and bathroom to be clean and tidy and a bath :) with shower over Location is a short stroll from the Tower / North Peer and Centre Trams and Bus stops basically outside of Hotel Weather was perfect for this time of year Will definitely look at booking here again next time

We had a very enjoyable stay for a couple of nights staff were excellent in every way, so lovely to find a nice hotel whet your dog is treated as well as you. My only gripe would be the evening meal which I’m afraid was poor compared to the one we’d had the night before at my daughter’s hotel, probably would help to provide a couple of really quality choices rather than a full menu, however we would most definitely go back to the hotel

Check in was good. The room wasnt very spacious but was fine for our 1 night stay.breakfast wasnt exceptionally warm but food had a good choice and edible.The bar was pricey.The beer was flat and the outside area wasnt very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

I have only one complaint the hotel is a warren with a lot of steps most of which had no banister. As I am disabled this was a matter of concern in falling

The staff were friendly at reception but the young bar member of staff was rude when they needed to close early due to a lack of security! The older gentleman on the bar however apologised. Room was very dated and the shower kept changing temperature and burning me. Location wise it’s excellent if you don’t mind a nice ten min stroll to the tower and other attractions

Currently being refurbished on the 3rd floor but clean. My only dissappointment was there is no WiFi. Breakfast was good with a variety of cerials and cooked food. Parking is available as advertised on your site but you are charged a £5 per day.

It was a building site on our floor got woken up to workers and construction noise. There was mold in the room it didn't seem clean. We were meant to stay for 4 nights but left early. Our bed was meant to be changed 2 nights in but it wasn't. The staff are lovely and helpful I don't blame them. Hotel is just a bit run down. Random seagal also got into the building at one point.

We stayed at The Carlton Best Western Hotel Blackpool. Hotel was spotless, comfortable and the staff were lovely, very helpful , nothing was too much trouble for them. It is in a prime spot for buses, trams & taxis. Its also only a short walk into town centre. I would definitely be retaining in the near future.

We have stayed here before in a standard double room, so thought we'd upgrade to a superior deluxe double. But in fairness the only difference we could see was some bathrobes in the wardrobe! Previously we'd had a view over the sea front and a good sized room with a very adequate ensuite on the first floor. The room we had this time was about the same size with a bigger bathroom, but only because we were on the ground floor in a disabled room. We had no view as the window looked out onto main road where people were walking and driving passed and also over looked by other hotels, so had to keep both windows and curtains shut to stop prying eyes and noise!!! Although the room seemed clean initially, when we turned on the bedside lights and they shone up the wall we could see large amounts of dust!! Also because we were in a superior room our bed was two single pushed together to form a superking, however the duvet seemed to be a double in a king-size cover. We were also located next to the toilets for the bar and restaurant. Overall for the extra money very disappointed this stay. Would probably look elsewhere next time.

Room clean and well kept. Bathroom disgusting. Needs a refurb. It must be over 20 years old, sink cracked, black mould around bath and bath chipped. Poor quality for the price. Breakfast was nice, staff helpful. Location is good. They just need to refurb the bathrooms to make this a 4/5 star.

Bedroom ok but lack of attention to detail in cleanliness, long dark hairs on body wash dispenser on the wall, dropped my bracelet and found debris under the beds. Overall a good experience, always stay in this hotel for an overnight stay in Blackpool. Had a good nights sleep, bed was very comfortable. The hotel is an old building and could maybe do with some TLC in some areas , stairs and corridors however the room was super clean. Didn't have food on this occasion but on our previous visit the food was lovely.

The staff at this hotel are lovely and friendly, the common areas like bar, lobby, breakfast room are all modern and clean. We paid for a superior room with sea view - it did not look like the one in the photo! They have chosen the best photo so you may not get that. In addition the bathroom was old and tired - and had poor ventilation- it made the whole room smell a little bit. We paid a lot as it was Pride weekend ( we didn’t know) but I don’t think we got fair value.

It is expensive what they charge for a tiny single room with a poor shower that has seen better days with not a lot of pressure coming from it. Best thing about staying here is it is right opposite the tram stop! I wouldn’t stay here again though!

We enjoyed our food and staff were excellent. We parked in the hotel parking as we felt it was safer. Our room had one fault the windows would not close and traffic noise gave us a disturbed night sleep. Next time we will request a sea front room.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. It's about 14 minutes walk from the tower.The staff are fabulous, helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable bed and great tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had a tasty hunter's chicken for dinner in the restaurant and an excellent cooked breakfast. We managed to get on the car park but if you can't there is another little car park a minute down the street. We are already planning to stay again in the summer. It was a great find.

Very welcoming to dogs. Excellent breakfast and top quality breakfast staff. 2very poor reception staff. 2 'mature, gentlemen on reception who had no regard for customer service. They were not interested in customers,not welcoming and did the minimum they could. They did not do justice to what otherwis is a good standard hotel.

Original room we were given had a strange smell, asked to change rooms and was given a free upgrade. Staff are a credit, helpful and friendly, rooms adequate for a short stay.

We made a booking for ourselves and 14 other people to stay for 2 days for our wedding in town. The hotel catered for all of our requirements without any problems as far as i know. The service was efficient and friendly, the food at breakfast was tasty, and there was plenty of it, and the room we stayed in was excellent, especially the bathroom. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The staff were friendly at reception but the young bar member of staff was rude when they needed to close early due to a lack of security! The older gentleman on the bar however apologised. Room was very dated and the shower kept changing temperature and burning me. Location wise it’s excellent if you don’t mind a nice ten min stroll to the tower and other attractions

Sea side location, tram and bus stops, easy to walk and reach to all the amenities and fun fair. I would recommend that the furniture of the lobby should be replaced as they looked old.

5 night getaway with the Dog Plenty of Parking on arrival - £5 per night Easy check in - £10 per night for Apollo (dog) Found the room and bathroom to be clean and tidy and a bath :) with shower over Location is a short stroll from the Tower / North Peer and Centre Trams and Bus stops basically outside of Hotel Weather was perfect for this time of year Will definitely look at booking here again next time

Good location for walks on prom, trams and access to Blackpool centre. On the sea front with resteraunt facing the promenade, with sea views. As long as you're not expecting the Ritz, you should be satisfied with the £50/night paid. We stayed one night, not sure I'd want to stay for longer due to noise of families in adjacent rooms. Bedroom was ensuit but a bit cramped & tired.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. It's about 14 minutes walk from the tower.The staff are fabulous, helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable bed and great tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had a tasty hunter's chicken for dinner in the restaurant and an excellent cooked breakfast. We managed to get on the car park but if you can't there is another little car park a minute down the street. We are already planning to stay again in the summer. It was a great find.

We stayed at The Carlton Best Western Hotel Blackpool. Hotel was spotless, comfortable and the staff were lovely, very helpful , nothing was too much trouble for them. It is in a prime spot for buses, trams & taxis. Its also only a short walk into town centre. I would definitely be retaining in the near future.

Excellent stay here and the stay on shift last night done an excellent job. We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. Great bar area and food in the evening was delicious. Great work.

Staff were fab,place looking tired now ,breakfast was a bit iffy. Cold plates and only one hot drinks machine causing huge queues. But otherwise, lovely,not far away from being very good again.

Check in was good. The room wasnt very spacious but was fine for our 1 night stay.breakfast wasnt exceptionally warm but food had a good choice and edible.The bar was pricey.The beer was flat and the outside area wasnt very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

Was very disappointed with the Xmas dinner as I had beef which was like leather…1 chipolata on friends dinner,he said turkey was just ok ..for £50 was not worth it..Buffet Xmas night was soso pathetic and heard plenty agreed with us£15 was a disgrace…Its such a lovely friendly staff and lovely hotel but don’t think we’ll be back My 76yr friend has diabetis along with other med probs and we purposely came as wanted to bring my 2dogs and a disabled room which was perfect but the cost and bad experience of food and lacks in hygiene in the restaurant with no table covers and some staff not in uniform …

We had an evening meal but the pizza was cold served on cold plates the staff were really friendly especially the young man who served us. It was little chilly in the dining room & bar but ok for breakfast will definitely stay again thankyou

We made a booking for ourselves and 14 other people to stay for 2 days for our wedding in town. The hotel catered for all of our requirements without any problems as far as i know. The service was efficient and friendly, the food at breakfast was tasty, and there was plenty of it, and the room we stayed in was excellent, especially the bathroom. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Sea view room, lovely view. Hotel in perfect location. Bedroom ok but lack of attention to detail in cleanliness, long dark hairs on body wash dispenser on the wall, dropped my bracelet and found debris under the beds. Breakfast was good, buffet help yourself for everything, food replenished and hot

I could not fault our stay. We arrived early and was allowed to park and return later to check in which was easy and smooth. On entering our room we were surprised by everything, the size of the room, the view, the size of the bed, the coffee machine, the bath in the room, table and chairs near the window it really did put a smile on our faces. On returning in the evening Luke advised us that we had been given a free upgrade, which explains the fantastic room. It is about a 20 min stroll into town although there is a tram stop out side the Hotel. Although the room was on the front it wasn't too noisy even with the windows open. All the staff we encountered were very pleasent. Plenty of options at the buffet breakfast. Parking is £7.50 which we thought was reasonable. All in all a very nice stay and have already booked to stay next year.

This hotel sits in the north close to the north pier and lovely view of the sea. We asked for a quiet room and that’s what we got very peaceful. The room was very clean albeit this particular room requires upgrading. I believe some or most of the rooms have been. The hotel general area was modern and spotless. There is a lift and stairs. Great staff! The two young people in dining area were hard working and efficient. Heard the young girl staff member check in on an older lady and remind her how hot it would be today. So lovely to hear this and for her to take that time out to be kind. The reception staff great too! Bar area lovely place to sit and nice and cool in the hot weather. Main hotel toilets absolutely spotlessly clean - best I’ve seen in a long time! Breakfast was great choice covered all from cereal to hot items. There is car park but not large. Nice seating area outside too. It is pet friendly too and a couple we sat next to told us best hotel they had been at for ‘pet friendly’ overall good hotel and I would go back
