Service at reception was poor, the guy was trying, but seemed to have had little if any training, the lift was not working, people in their 80s, having to negotiate the stairs on there bottom, absolutely shocking, asked for a late check-out, maid banging on my door at 12 noon, not particularly late in opinion, I just grabbed my bag and left, awful place! just crap!!!

Lift out of order 24hrs. Extractor fan bathroom not working.dinner at six waiter rushing around clearing away by six thirty.waiter complained to couple they were late at 6 twenty. The savoy is really good value for money. Room clean bedding fresh and clean. We were upgraded to room with outstanding sea views.(excellent).

I selected a property that had a elevator to all floors , but the savoy only has a elevator to 3 floors the 4th is only accessible by 3 flights of stairs , having walking difficulties made it hard , and the hotel was fully booked, so i could not be moved to a lower floor. The savoy only has one lift ,that only holds 2 people, meaning you had to wait sometimes for a while to get up or down . Our towel rail was hanging off the wall , the tv lost reception every time you moved on the bed . The pillows were very lumpy , meaning lack of sleep .

Waited at reception a few minutes, there were 2 girls on reception desk but only one was doing anything , no apology foor the wait Got to my room to find she hadnt given me the key card had to go back to reception she said she had given me and gave me another one, again no apology ,my room was clean enough for an overnight stay could do with a spruce up ,but there was an added addition of a soaking wet towel under the toilet ,looks like there is a leak pillows were a bit lumpy and could of done with more milk ect on the tea tray ,no lamp next to the bed Says parking available but ihad to park on the road only just got a space As car park was full, got woken in the morning at 7.30am due to fire alarm ,ffloorboards very creaky , but it is an old building On the whole it was definitely adequate for my overnight stay after my night out

Room was very dated and carpet hadn’t been vacuumed as found items under the bed. Good size room and bathroom. Pubic hairs and yellow stains found in the bath. Bathroom flooded from above when the room upstairs used their shower. View of a small yard and brick wall. Room very hot and unable to turn the heat down as there were no controls visible. Room door loose and not very secure and door opened onto one of the single beds which made it difficult to enter the room with our dog on a lead and our bags. Stains all down the wall where the tv was situated which looked like they were caused from water coming from the room above us. Advertised as pet friendly and yet we weren’t allowed in the food areas or bar with our well behaved dog. Will not be staying here again, very disappointing stay.

Bed/living room was nothing like the picture on the website of the same price region. Room was in terrible condition, walls were filthy & the wallpaper was dirty & peeling off. The hotel lift was not working 3 days of the 4 days we stayed.

No heating in room, had to be given a portable heater. Hotel looks rather dated, ceiling in room had dark patches. Bar was contactless only which was a pain …cash is king !! Wouldn’t stay again .

Easy check in, reception and staff are very friendly and helpful.double standard room room 3371 was awful, small room hard beds and pillows,view from the window was a roof with tiles missing with pigeons nesting in the holes.nets were grey at the bottom and the room was very old and worn,the hallways looked as if they needed a good clean.

Stayed one night 04/07/2025 Room dirty windowsill dirty windows dirty,Malteser behind bedside cabinet, cheap coffee and tea on room tra, wallpaper peeling off and generally dirty marks all over.Bed was very uncomfortable as mattress was below average could feel springs, thank goodness we took our own pillows as the ones in room seemed very lumpy, sheets and quilt cover were very clean. Bathroom shower rubbish and no bath mat for floor ,no glass for toothbrush ect. Downstairs in bar area again dirty windowsills cobwebs. Very dusty on top of mirrors going up the stars and generally dusty. Breakfast was good good selection, only down fall was plastic glasses for orange juice. Will not be staying again unless improvements made.

We were not assigned the room I booked. The room we got was on the 4th floor and lift only goes up 3 for 2 people with limited mobility it was a nightmare to get to our room. The room was not in a clean condition. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the pillows were hard and felt like they were filled with pebbles from the beach. We actually asked for two extra pillows that didn't arrive until we asked again 3 hours later. We were not advised at check in that evening meal was only served for an hour between 6 and 7 pm which we missed waiting for pillows to arrive. There was no bedside cabinets to put medication and water on and the bed was pushed up to the wall at one side meaning one of us would have to climb over partner to get out of bed in the night. The bathroom had no towel rail so nowhere to put the towels on. No bath mat for shower so would have had to step out onto laminate floor and possibly slipped on wet floor so couldn't use shower. The only redeeming factor was a fan in the room. But that was filthy too. The carpets in the corridors had not been vacuumed that day and the stair carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a month. The hotel was advertised as adult only and was full of families. Not enough parking for the size of the hotel. All in all the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

What we didn't like was when we woke up in the morning & came back, our room was still messy & our beds had not been changed & we were not provided fresh towels or toilet roll & had to get it ourselves at reception. Brekafast was basic & didn't think it was worth the price & didn't feel it was money well spent.

Wow what should be a fabulous grand building is no longer no more. From walki g in all you see is disrepair .. with a broken lift that looks like it has seen better days. The check in process wasnt the best.. and then walking to the room all you could see was dirty everywhere.. dirty carpets .. stains on walls.. worn carpets. Then once we hit the 3rd floor in the lift we had to then walk up a flight of stairs to get to our room. To be then greeted with a door like its come from the waste site. We walked in the room had stains on carpet. The bed was broken. Dirty windows looking out on to a broken roof and building works. Then i entered the bathroom and the dirt was everywhere. Shower cubicle stank of dirty watwr with limescale all around. In the end i decided to vacate has i didnt wanna get ill or get attacked cause the peope in there at time didnt seem at all freindly especially when drunk.

After reading the reviews we nearly cancelled our stay to rebook somewhere else but we decided we just needed somewhere to shower and sleep. Thankfully we did. It was nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews we’d read. The rooms were basic but clean. Staff were lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on that but over all we enjoyed our stay.

Very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and good sized room for the rate paid. Had a fab sea and top of tower view too. Only niggle was only one of the very small top windows would open and it was a very hot day and evening so would be worth sorting windows or providing fans.

Good class accommodation, the room was spacious for the price, and there was minimal noise from other rooms. Definitely one of the better class hotels to stay in, although the uncomfortable bed was the only downside.

The room was smaller than expected, the room was also very hot, only one small window that could be opened but no air coming in, the shower was on the small side but ok, very hard mattress woke up all sore in the mornings, breakfast was good, pidgens nesting in the roof as some tiles were missing on the adjasent roof, only one lift that can only take 2 people at a time, not good for the size of the hotel, cleanlyness could be better.

Terrible hotel, very noisy. Can hear every sound from the room above, creaky floorboards and squeaky beds. Function room must have been right below our room and the noise carried at 23:30 I could hear every word said by the DJ and the continued sound of the music. There was no prior warning when booking that this would be the case. Everything in the room was very dated and looked grubby. Check out was at 10am which is very early considering the loud function room beneath us kept us awake. There was no option of a late checkout either, apparently due to changes made during covid.

Spacious (family) room and comfy beds. A little noise from creaky floorboards from room above. Otherwise quiet and comfy. Cool rooms given it was 25 deg when we stayed ! Breakfast was decent and location was ideal. Overlooking beach, easy walk along the promenade to get to North Pier and further … we walked everywhere. Prove for room was very reasonable also. Would definitely stay again.

I have rated the hotel based on how much we paid, which was very cheap. Yes the hotel is run down, it's not easy on the eye but what do you expect for £40 per night. We booked a standard double for 4 nights. The room we were given was on the 4th floor, there is no lift to this floor, you get the lift to the 3rd and then have to walk up stairs. The room was on the inside of the hotel (room 3386), it's a small room and the frosted window does not open. The room was so hot, to the point we were sweeting. The water pressure was also like a dripping tap. The next morning we mentioned this to reception and they gave us a new room, this time on the first floor (room 118). This was a family room with 3 beds, it had a main bedroom and a separate room with another bed. It had 3 windows and all of them opened. The shower water pressure was very good. The room condition wasn't that great, door was a nightmare to open and close but for the price we paid, this was great value, it made our short holiday much more comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel but we had a few drinks from the bar. Was ok and the only place you get free wifi. Yes, no free wifi in the rooms, you need to pay.

This was a family room with 3 beds, it had a main bedroom and a separate room with another bed. It had 3 windows and all of them opened. The shower water pressure was very good. The room condition wasn't that great, door was a nightmare to open and close but for the price we paid, this was great value, it made our short holiday much more comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel but we had a few drinks from the bar. Was ok and the only place you get free wifi. Yes, no free wifi in the rooms, you need to pay.

Easy check in, reception and staff are very friendly and helpful.double standard room room 3371 was awful, small room hard beds and pillows,view from the window was a roof with tiles missing with pigeons nesting in the holes.nets were grey at the bottom and the room was very old and worn,the hallways looked as if they needed a good clean.

Nice staff, very quick check in. Grand old hotel. Rooms dated and basic however nice and warm. We had a smelly drain problem made worse by overuse of air freshener. It was a dry waste trap on the bath, we ran the water and put the plug in and it cleared overnight. The hotel was nice and quiet so got a good nights sleep. Great parking 30 minute walk into the town centre.

We have stayed here before, when it was Adults only, this time Families have been introduced again, and we did think oh no, but it didn't ruin our stay, we hardly heard the Children, the staff are helpful, cheerful, the Hotel was clean, and the tram stops are right outside, Our stay was very good, hopefully see you again very soon. Thankyou for everything you do. X x x

Service at reception was poor, the guy was trying, but seemed to have had little if any training, the lift was not working, people in their 80s, having to negotiate the stairs on there bottom, absolutely shocking, asked for a late check-out, maid banging on my door at 12 noon, not particularly late in opinion, I just grabbed my bag and left, awful place! just crap!!!

Waited at reception a few minutes, there were 2 girls on reception desk but only one was doing anything , no apology foor the wait Got to my room to find she hadnt given me the key card had to go back to reception she said she had given me and gave me another one, again no apology ,my room was clean enough for an overnight stay could do with a spruce up ,but there was an added addition of a soaking wet towel under the toilet ,looks like there is a leak pillows were a bit lumpy and could of done with more milk ect on the tea tray ,no lamp next to the bed Says parking available but ihad to park on the road only just got a space As car park was full, got woken in the morning at 7.30am due to fire alarm ,ffloorboards very creaky , but it is an old building On the whole it was definitely adequate for my overnight stay after my night out

AVOID! JUST DONT! hotel disgusting Management unhelpful and didn't dare come out of his office cleaner maintenance man and supervisor all agreed it wasn't acceptable yet manager still not convinced luckily got a full refund from Expedia and managed to book elsewhere

Wonderful time at the Savoy. Great hotel, friendly staff. Have stayed here many times and always look forward to a visit. Was given an upgrade on this occasion to a suite. Was a lovely surprise. Thanks to Johnny and all the staff at the Savoy for always making me feel so welcome.

After reading the reviews we nearly cancelled our stay to rebook somewhere else but we decided we just needed somewhere to shower and sleep. Thankfully we did. It was nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews we’d read. The rooms were basic but clean. Staff were lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. We didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on that but over all we enjoyed our stay.

After admiring this beautiful hotel from the outside for many years, the situation arose where myself & 2 friends had the opportunity to book for 3 nights. Unfortunately our stay was very disappointing. There were several factors including the restaurant female staff member being very rude and accessory both on Saturday & Monday, this resulted in me & my crutches having to go backwards & forwards to reception(the booking was in my name & I had the receipts), which was not an ideal scenario. no suitable vegetarian food options except the salad bar & a pasta dish, (the salad bar would have been fine, but it was mostly empty & we ended up with just beetroot & coleslaw) my service dog not being allowed to access the same areas I could, so it limited my ability to fully relax. This contravenes the DDA. Reception being very understaffed, which is not their fault, but the responsibility of head office or management. The website needs updating as it says it has been adults only since 01/03/24 & it was definitely not. I have great sympathy with the staff, as they have been spread too thin with multiple roles & long hours, but ultimately, it affects the comfort & relaxation of guests.

Very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and good sized room for the rate paid. Had a fab sea and top of tower view too. Only niggle was only one of the very small top windows would open and it was a very hot day and evening so would be worth sorting windows or providing fans.

Slightly out if town centre but not far... On promenade and tram stop opp..... Old hotel but still clean and comfortable value for money.... Only one concern was the pipes and ducts outside our window seemed to be leaking so we closed window..... Good base if you're exploring Blackpool but want bit peace and quiet from bussle of centre

Booked here with my dog at short notice. Has the expected facilities at an inexpensive price. Low-key, friendly atmosphere without being overly shabby. Polite and helpful staff. A slight annoyance was that my room was up 3 flights plus a walk, then more stairs... and the lift was out of order. My dog is infirm with stairs but fortunately small enough to carry. There\'s not enough onsite parking for the whole hotel, but free nighttime parking on adjacent streets. The "Gynn" pub across the road is good.

Spacious (family) room and comfy beds. A little noise from creaky floorboards from room above. Otherwise quiet and comfy. Cool rooms given it was 25 deg when we stayed ! Breakfast was decent and location was ideal. Overlooking beach, easy walk along the promenade to get to North Pier and further … we walked everywhere. Prove for room was very reasonable also. Would definitely stay again.

Booked a double but was given a twin without any offer of compensation for inconvenience and aggravation. However, the room was adequate although the shower is old and the shower cubicle very small. Bar was reasonably priced and the dining area and dinner of a high standard. Breakfast not the best.

The hotel was clean suite was very good no room ser ice but told in advance. Servi e in dining room was dire everything was running out no one filling anything up. Food was good but no hot plates despite there being 3 plate warmers only 1 was in use. Breakfast was the worst impossible to get everything at once as things ran out and staff were so very slow at clearing tables and topping up food. The breakfast itself was good if only short of hot plates. Cleanliness overall very good

Paid £75 a night then they asked £12 for a breakfast. The tables were dirty, serviette’s stuck to the table. The place is old and Very tired. Staff were pleasant enough but to be honest the place is a disgrace.

We had a one night stay at the Savoy which was perfectly adequate for this short stay. We were able to get a parking spot on site ( the amount of parking available is fairly limited), and the room we were allocated was of a good size and appeared to have been redecorated fairly recently. It was clean and had a good mix of furniture. The bed could have been better as the mattress sagged towards the sides and the pillows were rather hard and uncomfortable. Despite this, the cost of the stay was very reasonable , so we would be prepared to stay there again for a similar short stay.

I found this response unhelpful and lacking in customer service. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have had in all my years of travelling. I cannot recommend the Savoy Hotel based on my experience, and I hope management takes immediate action to improve cleanliness, housekeeping standards, food quality, and customer service.
