Saw their was a pool when I booked on trivago and that was the only reason I booked there. Then got there and no pool

Very noisy and well worn out, needs full redecorating. Queue for breakfast, waiting for food to come from kitchen. Lift was not working properly and corridors very narrow. All in all very dissatisfied and disappointed with it.

Room was way too hot with no way of turning the radiator down and windows were locked. Bathroom door handle broken, got locked in the bathroom. Toilet roll holder broken so had to keep the toilet roll on the floor. Drawers in dressing table painted shut so,” couldn’t use them. Found 2 long black curly hairs in the bed. Check in desk was never occupied so had to ring the hotel to inform staff when we were at reception 3 times. Pool is not on this site, had to use the hotel over the road. Only saving grace was Ian who was the host at breakfast. He was absolutely amazing with the children and very friendly and helpful.

Advertised as has hotel parking, but they don't tell you that you have to pay £7 per night until arrive and check In. Very few spaces with no guarantee can park again following night even though paid in advance. Hotel is tired, old and mouldy but is clean and comfy. Generally what expext for 2 star hotel. Great location for Blackpool Tower etc. Recommend if plan to do the Blackpool torist attractions as can leave car and either walk or take tram which there is a stop immediately outside. Perfect if need just somewhere to sleep and don't want to spend a lot on the room, just remember to add parking fee unless want to park around corner on street (if can find space).

Very good hotel with friendly staff. Only issue was that there is only one lift which is very small and broke down for a day which meant walking up the stairs (this didnt affect me but some guests had mobility issue). Othwrwise, excellent.

Average room and facilities needs a big upgrade. Beware when parking. I parked my car outside went to check in at 5pm and pay for a parking ticket £7 which is fine displayed the ticket in my car at 5:05pm then 2 weeks later received a parking fine stating I was illegally parked at 5:03 pm tried to appeal stating the time I was checking in and time ticket was displayed and was told it didn’t matter as I was illegally parked. No help off the hotel on this matter just told we don’t issue the fines. So if you do stay here probably best to just add £60 to your bill.

hotels.com states this hotel has a swimming pool ..... it doesnt .... single rooms are very small..... toilet is very small..... so small i couldnt sit on the toilet pan.

Room 206 has the most comfortable four poster bed, i slept like a log every night. We usually just stay Room only, but occasionally we chose breakfast and dinner and neither options disappointed. There was entertainment each night. I have to give a big shout out to both Martin and Nathan who have always tried to get me a second floor room with a Seaview. 1,because I have walking difficulties and if the lift wasn't working for any reason then i could just about manage to get to my room, and 2, i suffer from depression and anxiety and being able to watch the sea calms me down. That being said, people will complain about the small things sometimes and i say to them that the staff do their best,always read the reviews on hotels and if you expect luxury then book the boulevard or similar hotel. And before you have a go at me about the president hotel, let me say that everyone is entitled to their own views and half the time problems are of the guests own makings. The hotel is truly pet friendly, allowing your pets everywhere with you, they even have a separate dining area for them unlike certain other hotels which i won't name.

Have stayed before... room was lovely... breakfast great... but non-functioning lift left us unhappy... i know cannot be helped but many in hotel (including my wife) had mobility issues and needed the lift.

No shops near, room was ok but beds smelt mouldy but was clean. Sink in bathroom leaked. Switch for lamp was broken and other switch was hidden behind bed. Not enough milk for drinks and no-one on reception to get more. Parking was ok but having to pay £10 to park overnight was high as car park was on front of hotel and not secure

Urine stains on mattress topper and black dog hairs in the shower, plus mold on the net curtains

Couldn't fault the breakfast but everything else was terrible 1/ poor standard of cleanliness - dust on deido surrounding the bed Top part of showerhead was discoloured,possible rust Carpet a bit grubby Secondly position of the toilet totally unacceptable - oversized shower area meant toilet was squeezed into a tiny space,so impossible to sit on it. Had to use toilet opposite the restaurant Thirdly,lack of space for puttong clothing Fourthly, no drinking glass in the bathroom - was an empty space for one Fifthly,very stingy with complimentary drinks and no biscuit - was just 2 tea bags,2 sachets of coffee, 3 sachets of milk and NO sweeteners - around 10 ordinary sugar sachets Sixthly,dogs continuously barking and allowed in the dining room - a big no no Lastly,large quantity of chips behind the toilet door,near the dining room

Disgusting. Place is filthy. We didn't even unpack. We left without staying. Total waste of money.

Room wasn't very clean. No toilet roll to replace tiny bit that was on. Heating didn't work so room was cold. Rang reception about it to be told there was nothing they could do. Sharp edges on edges of mirror where they was broke. Room numbers weren't very well shown as to where they were. Overall cleanliness of room was like it hadn't been cleaned in for ever how long.

The room was dated, not clean and shouldn’t be classed as a suite. The bathroom toilet had been used and not flushed/cleaned for over a week. False eyelashes/hairs and general mess was visible on carpets (not hovered). Shower leaked & was blocked with hard water deposits which were removed by my self. Bed lining was marked and the mattress so tired that they were pointless. Mattress protection was dirty and the windows so dirty that it looked constantly foggy. I took a photo to show the actual room rather than what is advertised. The staff were very good (minus the cleaner) water and front desk staff were happy, helpful and friendly.

Filthy room poor facilities

Room was dirty, no toilet rolls or towels (had to ask for them) and the shower wasn’t working. Stains up the walls and mould in the bathroom.

Very poor quality. Dirty. Nothing like the pictures in the listing. We didn’t stay the night. We checked out within an hour of arriving. Blood on the bathroom door frame. Dirty sheets. Something which looked like poo (tiny bit but still terrible) within bedding between sheet and blanket. Floor was dirty. Room was freezing cold even though it was warm outside. Absolutely Worst hotel Iv ever been to. As I stated so bad we never even stayed and checked out in less than an hour. Disgrace.

The room was dirty, hadn't been hooved, rusty grimey handles on the shower. Screws sticking out the wall in the shower. Paint on the catpets, curtains that dont close. And on top of all that the room smelled like a 100 wets dogs.

Room was dirty and thick dust everywhere curtains hanging off. Bedding was dirty and stained .toilet seat hanging off shower didn’t work and bathroom smelt of mould. Also unexpected fees on arrival. Stayed 3nights and was charged £75 to park car and for the dog.

The hotel was convenient for public Transport and reasonable walking distance to north shore attractions. Our room was comfortable enough but with a little more attention to the cleaning and furnishings it coulď be much better. The breakfast was good and the staff were efficient and friendly

hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly & helpful, Was quite blustery when we stayed as room looking out to the beach & the wind was very cold blowing thru the double glazing window as seals had gone. Luckily I managed to wrap a small towel with my own small hanger over the gap to lessen the cold air blowing thru at nite which made the room very chilly.

Nice size rooms. Location excellent. Meals good. Difficult to navigate stairs. Meals too expensive. Parking too expensive. Breakfast and parking should be free to residents. For this reason, I wont go back.

Awful hotel avoid. Room was freezing cold as no heating on at any point during stay. TV not working. No hangers in wardrobe. Dirty dusty TV remote. Light fitting on wall which didn't work with exposed wires.

Room very clean, plenty towels, bedding clean, had trouble with tv a lot of channels didnt work ,shower lovely plenty hot water very good breakfast, plenty to chose from had good 4 days plus we were upgraded to family room with big double bed plus 2 single beds for just myself and my adult son who has autism have stayed at this hotel last year and enjoyed our stay staff excellent

It's a rather dingy hotel. It needs decorating and the room was pretty thick with dust. There was a radiator in the room that clearly was not able to be turned on. The overall view is that it's quite dingy throughout and in need of a full refurb.

Little room with a view of - a brick wall. But was clean, comfortable and cheap, and had standard hotel facilities. Staff very good. Lift not working properly so staff had to accompany guests and were very obliging. Slept well. Buffet breakfast was nice and dining room boss very pleasant and helpful. Wasn’t aware that parking in the tiny spaces was chargeable but found free parking in adjacent streets. If looking for a posh hotel this is not it but perfectly adequate for a cheap break in Blackpool. I would use again for a short break.

This hotel is in a decent location and the breakfast is good. That aside the lift is unreliable and dependent on the customers clising the doors; which they don't on some floors and jam open. The shower was a o Joke; 2 minutes to get up to temperature, head fixed, poor pressure and the smallest cubicle imaginable making a proper shower impossible.

We had a fabulous weekend, the room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was utterly amazing, hot food absolutely delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. There's a few marks and scuffs around the place but for what you pay it's incredible value for money. We will absolutely be returning! Only negative for me was there was only a bath, not ideal for washing your hair. A quick trip to Sainsbury for a jug solved that problem.

Arrived on 10 /10/25 24/7 reception NO I had to walk all around the place to find someone to check in . About 2 am we had a someone smashing our door in room 206 we were very scared and shuck up . I rang the numbers given to no one answering us I was crying at this stage . I tryed again and I told a mad in which just said I’m dealing with it. But no one came to see if we were ok my husband is 68 and I’m 62 . This was disgraceful. Next morning still nobody on desk to talk to . The rest off the time we had no sleep and a chair under the door handle . It was not worth the money and we came back early.

Staff friendly

We arrived on Monday 17th April about 11:40. My mum was very sick and we were hoping to get into a room quickly so she could go to bed but we were left in the cold bar where she continued being extremely sick. If it wasn't for the barman Martin who saw how bad mum was and had to clean up her sick we would've been there until 3pm. I asked the young guy at reception but he did nothing.. Mum is now in hospital so gives you an understanding of unwell mum was.. The room didnt get cleaned once, the bins were overflowing, we had to ask for toilet paper which was an effort for the young receptionist.. I'm ok not getting the bed made but we could've got fresh towels at least once.. I requested a wheelchair accessible room for mum but she got the smallest room out of us all. You just got the wheelchair along the hall. They also put us on the 2nd floor.. I give 10 out 10 for the person who did their website as it was 100% photo shopped... If it wasnt for Martin the barman and the woman who worked in the restaurant who gave mum some toast and soup to help with the sickness, no one else was helpful..

It was spot on! The staff were all very polite, courteous and helpful, especially the gentleman (We gave him the nickname of Miss Rabbit, from Peppa Pig, because he seemed to be doing everything!) who checked us in - Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and functional - Everything we needed and nothing that we didn't want. All in all, it was excellent...

The receptionist was very nice on check in but another receptionist ignored myaelf and another resident as he did paperwork and eventually i had to ask for me key he then he was veryignorant the other resident walked away she was so uncomfortable unfortunately i wont be staying here again they need to train their reception staff better

The President Hotel never fails. Ive tried a few others in Blackpool and none come close to it for Cleanliness, Value, comfort and attentive staff. Martin and Nathan on the front desk are always available for a chat or to get anything thats needed. The self serve breakfast is fabulous, the staff and chef are always chatty and friendly and willing to go out of their way for you. If i visit Blackpool, which is often, this is the only place I'll stay now.

No major issues apart from the check in as when we arrived around 6pm there was no one around, we rang the reception bell rang the phone and still nothing for around 20 mins. Luckily some other residents came in and I asked if anyone is usually manning the desk and they said yes and they would try and find them and let us know we were there so eventually someone did come down for us to check in but at one point we were considering putting our bags in the car and going into Blackpool and then checking in later but got sorted eventually.

We arrived to have no toilet roll, no towels in the room, couldnt even shower properly because the shower was aimed on the door and couldnt be adjusted..... dog poo all the stairs, there was one member of staff working desk and bar at the same time-need more staff.

This is confirm from a very understanding and lenient person. It’s a very outdated hotel and furniture clearly needs modernised as there are many chips and cracks, television faulty too. Customer service terrible throughout, lad at the main desk clearly didn’t want to be there, I understand hotel staff have a difficult job but on one instance he walked past shouting and swearing down the phone about how much he hates his job, unacceptable in front of paying customers, especially with children present. On first instance was told maintenance had already gone home therefore couldn’t help with broken shower door, then was told housekeeping had gone home therefore couldn’t supply travel cot for baby despite notes on my booking this would be required, this was at 7pm when last check in was midnight. Finally got resolved however got charged an extra £10 a night to use a broken cot. The lift needs to be updated, it’s very small and if anyone leaves the door open it doesn’t move. No water pressure in the shower either can hardly get a wash, also no shower gel/shampoo provided. £7 a night for parking yet no parking spaces available. Hotel is also too far from attractions for a family. Hotel clearly well understaffed, our room wasn’t cleaned throughout our stay, no air conditioning, no fridge, not allowed to bring any food or drink to room as per signs. The one positive was the full English breakfast in the morning, the quality was outstanding

The property is on the seafront. With bus and tram stops outside. Also parking available at property.The room was clean although basic it served the purpose for an overnight stay.The price was exceptionally good and offered a full cooked breakfast. Which was hot n tasty. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

My room was compact, but very clean and comfortable – there is only one lift and it only holds two people for the whole hotel. So after breakfast was difficult getting back up to the third floor. Entrance could easily be updated – remove all sweet machines and get new doors and better tables and chairs in the reception – the floors are great with Karndean on the ground floor and good carpets in the bedrooms - tidy up the entrance and remove junk. It looks shabby from the outside and could easily be improved. Breakfast was good in a good clean dining room – full English perfect!

Seems slightly unfair to rate the hotel as only used it for sleep the two nights I was there (didn't have breakfast/dinner). The staff were good from the interactions we did have. The hotel itself looks a bit tired although you can see improvements being done. I can imagine in it's heyday this was chock a block. Tram stop right outside the hotel made transport easy. Was value for the price we paid.

Cheap clean comfortable central hotel

Ensuite room. Free parking on street nearby. Acceptable waliking distance to the north peer.

Lovely staff. Especially liked Liz and Tom who helped me out when I thought I had lost my purse. I had just mislaid it. Excellent location. Near to town but far enough away to be quiet at night. Very good breakfast.

THE DINING ROOM STAFF WERE BRILL AND FRIENDLY AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU , THE FOOD WAS VERY VERY GOOD AND PLENTY OF IT .

Hotel was clean and tidy and bedroom was spotless. Breakfast was buffet style and was good. Staff were helpful and efficient. There was even entertainment on at night even though it was quiet with only around 12 customers in the room.

Check in very promt and friendly no rushing us ,very clean through out , very comfortable but basic rooms and very clean restaurant had breakfast only couldn’t knock it for the price and very nice staff couldn’t do enough for you ,didn’t do the entrainment but looked lovely bar and dance floor this hotel needs up dating but what it lacks in modernisation makes up in the most wonderful helpful friendly staff ,everything you would need for a comfortable budget holiday I would definitely recommend it

A hotel full of dirty dogs that were allowed into the restaurant at breakfast. Hotel has gone further down in standards and operations a curfew at midnight and so you can’t really enjoy a show or Blackpool night out . Room 411 was not like the pictures and really run down A lot of elderly people reside in the hotel and it’s not a nice atmosphere to stay in . Intermittent WiFi, showers that are cold, portable room heaters and as mentioned dirty dogs barking all night in the hotel so you can’t get a good nights sleep . Breakfast there isn’t a vegetarian option and it caters to elderly people and their meat eating taste . A formerly nice hotel who’s standards have gone down more drastically

I’ve stayed here several times and this was one of the nicer rooms I have been put in. Breakfast was very good.

Absolutely disgraceful service. There were multiple issues for multiple people including myself. Bar staff were shocking with no concept of what clean lines are. The beer was off and like vinegar. No bottles or other choice available. The entertainment was severely lacking with artists finishing early and the bar shutting. So many people were complaining to Nathan whose attitude was combative and exacerbated issues instead if dealing with them to the point of many leaving and staying else where. We have visited numerous times and this will be our last. Filthy, dated and with disinterested staff.

Arrived 15min before checkin and told we had to wait .Assigned a room on the side when we had paid for sea view, as it turned out the room was not ready. We asked a staff member who rectified the problem.The Hotel had very few guests. Restaurant staff friendly and helpful. The food was good value but limited options that said it suited our need .Breakfast excellent .

Its okay to get the head down for the night room was clean. The hotel needs a full deep clean and paint and new furniture as it was falling apart. The food was good but no menus or any choices of meal meal. This could be a good hotel if its well maintained to high standards. I would stay again of 1 night
