Parliament House rooms were nice. The location of the rooms was not easy. Our rooms required us to carry our bags up and down a 2 story spiral staircase. Not all rooms were this difficult to reach. Would only stay there again if rooms easier to reach.

Hotel was a nice surprise, at the top of a steep hill depending which way you walk there but once there its quiet, reception is really nice and friendly. Room was good, plenty of space and again really quiet which was good and a plus for me being able to open the window for fresh air. Down side is no bar or food available, they do have a fridge in reception that they will sell you drinks from in a can and you can order take away which i did from Uber Eats so that worked out ok. Would stay again based on location.

This was a very nice hotel. Bed was comfortable. No air-conditioning. Lots of stairs. Good location and access to tours and dining. Wish they would have had fans in the rooms. The fridge didnt seem to cool anything. Breakfast was pretty good.

The hotel is in a good location with transportation options, shopping and restaurants nearby. It is within walking distance of the Royal Mile and the castle. Unfortunately, our room was difficult to access. It was on the 6th floor, but the elevator only reaches up to the 4th floor.

Elevator was out of service. Bathtub glass "half wall" was inadequate to prevent water from spilling out into the room. Bath towels were too small -- and the lack of small face cloths was annoying -- and staff acknowledged they receive requests for them all the time!!

Great service from the staff. They answer all questions and are incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. The staff explained the hotel is 3 buildings in one so getting to our room and leaving was a bit awkward, taking the lift to one floor just to walk two flights of stairs and to leave we had to walk up two flights to either walk four flights down to exit or take the lift down. Not a complaint just a funny way of navigating through the building. Great location. We loved Calton Hill.

Great location by Waverly Train Station, with several very good restaurants and pubs nearby. Room was good sized. Note that top floor rooms dont have lift access.

The Parliament House is conveniently located near the Waverly train station and many key tourist sights, including the Royal Mile. It was unseasonably warm during our visit in May and the hotel is not air conditioned. The hotel gladly provided a fan for our room, upon request, which helped tremendously.

Room was smelly with wallpaper peeling off the walls. Checked out as soon as I checked in l. Was hair all over the bedroom floor. I know it’s a 3 star in the heart of Edinburgh but I wouldn’t have been comfortable staying there

It's a lovely hotel, very, very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was quite luxurious, loved it. It's not entirely easy to get to (up a steep hill), but the walk is worth it.

Lovely find, tucked away from main shops, but 5 min walk to Station. Really friendly staff, only there one night just before Christmas, hotel felt warm and cosy. Room and bathroom clean, bed super comfy. Would stop again.

Location was great. Hotel was clean and the room was spacious clean and quiet. A very cute gesture was having homemade biscuits in a jar on the first night. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

The property is conveniently located on Calton Hill, just a short walk from the Prices Street and all the attractions of the Old City. Things to note are: The rooms do not have air conditioning and fans. We had to keep one window slightly open to have some ventilation, and also chasing and killing bees that flew in through the window. Rooms and bathrooms are small, though functional. The mini fridge did not work. Overall an average stay.

Great hotel, brilliant location if your wanting Edinburgh city centre. only pick up is the towels are so small, like what a hotel would have had in the 80's. replace them with big fluffy towels and it would have been a prefect stay.

Loved this hotel! The rooms were great and had a cute theme and nice amenities. Bathrooms were nice and had a good sized shower. The beds were comfortable and there was space to open bags as well. The staff was nice and very helpful. There are cute restaurants near by as well. I would stay here again!

The hotel is an older stately building which has been adapted to have rooms. While the rooms are furnished in a more traditional manner, they are small by contemporary standards and there was no easy means to cool them down other than opening the windows. The rooms were clean and comfortable but street noise could be an issue when the windows were open. The hotel is well located near many restaurants, cafes and shops, and a 5-10 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverly station.

My father and I stayed at Parliament House Hotel over the years when traveling to Scotland and I have to state that this place is better than ever. We were only over for a weekend to attend a football match and our stay was perfect. Clean, classy, quaint, ideal location and front desk staff who know how to treat guests well. I will not stay anywhere else when in Edinburgh. MP’s Bistro in the hotel serves an amazing breakfast, as well.

Really super hotel, will stay again. However, some staff at breakfast were not well trained. Rather brusque, no idea how to serve at the table. Banging plates down on the table, collecting plate from the table by leaning over from one corner to another. Also housekeeping excellent on 3 days, poor one one. Will definitely stay again but only had breakfast there on one day due to the poor service

Friendly helpful staff. Good customer service. We got to Edinburgh earlier than expected. We originally planned to drop our bags off and go for lunch. They found us an available room and checked in early. Excellent location within walking distance of Edinburgh Waverley Station and tram/bus links to the airport. Would stay here again.

What made the stay something I would recommend was the lovely lady on reception. I was feeling very stressed as I was bringing my daughter to the uni. It is virtually impossible to find parking to unload a car anywhere and it was all a. It much. She was very kind and gave lots of suggestions and help. The tv was pretty ropey given the price of the room but I forgot to mention it at the time - I was shattered as an inconsiderate guest was hammering on the door next to mine at length at 1.10am which didn’t help my nerves…

Great location for sightseeing and close to the train station. Its situated just off the main street in the New Town which was perfect for us. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and the open fire was a lovely touch, especially in February when we visited! Our room was tastefully decorated, very clean and lovely and warm. We will definitely stay here on our future trips to the lovely city of Edinburgh

We love the Parliment House for our third trip to Edinburgh. We were able to easily walk to Prince’s Street and High Street. The tram along Prince’s street was helpful for our trek out to Murrayfield.

Great location, no traffic noise. Room was clean and comfortable, although bed was on the soft side. Toilet clogged several times which was annoying. Breakfast was way overpriced and nothing to write home about.

This hotel is beautiful . The interior of our room was stunning. The staff are all excellent. The service is second to none. The breakfasts are fantastic. The choice is so vast , from a full Scottish, to wonderful continental breakfasts , including yogurt and berries, croissants, fruit and all sorts of charcuterie. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I hope to go back in the future.

The hotel is basic but the front desk staff were great. The breakfast was a disappointment. It might be a couple of pounds cheaper than a local restaurant but it was of much poorer quality. The hop on buses are just across the street, which was very helpful. Waverley station was a short walk. We were there for the Fringe festival and the location served us just fine, combined with the hop on buses.

A charming, characterful, period hotel within 5 minutes of the heart of Edinburgh. The interior of the hotel has been recently refreshed with a restrained 'Scottish' theme. The staff were all very helpful. The breakfast menu was extensive and well cooked. As is so often the case, the coffee was poor.

We loved the location - at the bottom of Calton Hill, very close to Edinburgh Waverley station and Princes Street (but very quiet). Staff welcoming and helpful. Excellent choices at breakfast. We had asked in advance for room with bath/overhead shower and this is what we were given. Room was clean/ comfortable and had kettle/tea/coffee/etc plus shortbread and a fridge. There was a small TV. Would have liked bigger bath towels but otherwise all to our liking.

Hotel has character. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Highly convenient location, easy walking distance of Waverley station and next to Calton Hill. Very good breakdast bistro.
