For an hotel of this category, there needs to be an excellent gym. The current one is very lamentable. Also we had the inconvenience of having to change rooms due to the constant noisy parties which probably are good for the hotel yet not so for the guests. Moreover, it was a shame that guests were not allowed to visit the original palace, for some reason or other. It was disappointing. We never could go to the prime restaurant. Always not allowed to go find it. Food was good, service also good.

What an incredible experience! The hotel is truly one of a kind with amazing heritage behind it. The service is impeccable and the food was superb. Must have dessert every day at Gazebo and the pastas at Bellini were delicious. The best best recommendation is the Hammam. They did a bubble massage for our son and he loved it. Definitely a hotel where I’d love to have a long stay.

What an incredible experience! The hotel is truly one of a kind with amazing heritage behind it. The service is second to none and the food was superb. Must have dessert every day at Gazebo and the pastas at Bellini were delicious. Not really centered as a kids hotel but they went out of their way for our 7yr old. The best best recommendation is the Hammam. They did a bubble massage for our son alongside us and he can’t stop talking about it. 5 nights was still not enough for us!

Excellent hotel, with the perfect location. Our room was comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the palace with sunset view. The bed was truly comfortable and the amenities are really good. We tried two restaurants, the food was fabulous and the breakfast could not be better. Delicious with great variety. All areas are very beautiful, the swimming pool is good with a fantastic view over the river. Staff is attentive. We totally recommend this hotel and will definitely go back.

It is a great hotel but they have choose of they are a 5 stars hotel or a party place! We stayed there 4 night. All the nights they had parties. The worst day was a Techno party on the sea bar. I had the feeling they were in my room until midnight another night hey hosted a marriage and a teenagers graduation! It was impossible to sleep well. I don’t recommend if you are not a party person or if you like to sleep well

The people at the hotel are the most caring, attentive, helpful and friendly people I have ever come across during my forty years of travel. Breakfast experience at your hotel is exceptional and I doubt can be imrovrd upon by anyone else. On 14/3/2025, the lady serving the breakfast guests was the kindest, most efficient and handled the whole floor on her own. She deserves a special mention. We had an executive suite overlooking the Bosphorus. The suite was gorgeous and the view stunning. The hotel looks like a museum. The service is wonderful and friendly. Restaurants superficially high end but not really that good. It is a bit off the beaten track but a ten dollar taxi fare from most places you might like to visit.

We stayed at the Yildiz Palace Suite and from the moment we checked in, it was an incredible experience. A butler 'Ayhan' came to greet us and we were blown away by the opulence of the hotel and the palace. A few minutes after entering our room which was fit for a royal couple, Ayhan entered for soap service. He offered us two complimentary bars of soap which were really nice. We felt very well taken care of as the head butler 'Najmet Din' greeted us the next morning and escorted us to the breakfast at Akdeniz. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had. The attention to detail and variety of food was brilliant. Even check-out was a breeze and the butler came to our suite instead of us having to go to the reception. They allowed us to check out three hours later than standard and even saw us off outside the palace. Ciragan Palace Kempinski has defined what a 5 star hotel should be.

From the reception to the concierge and everyone else, the staff was not only friendly and helpful but always smiling. Emre at the concierge desk was extremely helpful and so was Zeki Yusufoglu who arranged a lovely breakfast for us at 3:30 am for our early morning flight. Nasiba,the lovely lady in red was very knowledgeable as she gave us a tour of the palace. The breakfast was vast and fresh and delicious. Rooms very clean and grand and room service was impeccable. Would stay here again. Highly recommend it.

But the reality was far better than what I had anticipated. The staff were impressively well-trained, attentive, and genuinely warm. Communication was excellent throughout my stay, and the service was smooth, professional, and consistently thoughtful. I didn’t encounter a single issue worth noting. As a hotel owner, I pay attention to details — and here, the details were truly handled well. Let me just say if you didn’t know you wanted to stay at a real palace and be treated like royalty, now you need to add that to your bucket list! I originally booked a regular room (I was already happy that the hotel was a functioning palace and I booked it mostly for the Turkish Hamman) but was offered an upgrade at the suite on the Palace side facing the Bosphorus - I am thankful to the sweet lady at the reception that told me about it. The entire butler team, led by Necmeddin along with Erhan, Goksel and Ayhan are impeccable when it comes to customer service (think what you expect to get at a 3 Michelin star restaurant) - and I have stayed at many nice hotels. They always go above and beyond to ensure my parents and I had the most memorable experience, even though it was only for one night. I was left speechless how thoughtful and sweet they all are to ensure the entire experience was as special as possible and of the highest standard - (even the last part with the type of VIP taxi for transfer) and I’m someone that doesn’t get impressed easily given my extensive travel experiences. I would definitely come back to stay the palace suite again for a special occasion - money well spent for the unforgettable and the rare experience you get. Now I need to start looking at where else in the world that I can stay in a real palace!

It was an amazing experience, one I will never forget. The only downside was the service in the breakfast area and the cafe near the pool. It was hard to get the attention of the staff in these areas. But the service from the personal butler in our suite and staff attended to our room was above and beyond. It is definitely a place worth staying at.

At the time of checkin, the reception tried upgrading the room for a hefty extra by initially mentioning there wasn’t a room with a good view with the booked room class. This was even though the booked room was one of those “Bosphorus View” room (not a partial view). The “one wine bottle” promised when reserved was never offered, and we were never informed what the “VIP Access” might have been. In the end we “negotiated” back to have a room with a Bosphorus view, but saw many rooms that we were able to see from the terrace rather empty. The strait view was fantastic but why did we have to go through this, and obviously missed what was to be offered. We’d give high rating for the view but not for how the hotel is managed.
