Tolle Lage des Paradors auf einem Berg. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einer großen Terrasse mit Blick auf die gegenüberliegenden Berge. Schöner großer Pool.

Beautiful property with an amazing restaurant. Pool was just ok and the lower level rooms have air blowing but not really air conditioning. We would go back though!

Site incroyable, vues fantastiques. Piscine immense et services impeccables.

Beautifully decotated buildings in the castle complex, and rooms with easy parking. The only thing I would have liked is a coffee and tea maker in my room.

We had an electric vehicle and charging was so easy at the Parador (unlike many other areas in Andalucia where we had travelled). We were very grateful and impressed with the service of the reception staff.

Breathtaking tranquility. Balcony view from the room was gorgeous, high above the city. Pool was a plus for some exercise. Room was functional and cozy. Not much to do other than dining room and walk to the castle. You need a car or taxi to go up the steep hill to the Parador.

Buenísimo, y por precio especial en Hoteles.com. Todo muy cómodo, y un vistazo sobre la ciudad. Restaurante muy bien. Parking delante del hotel.

Smukt beliggenhed. Flotte værelser. Manglede morgenkåbe (kunne ringe efter dem, istedet for at de lå pakket ind på værelset). Poolen var desværre lukket for sæsonen, Husk at læse dét med småt. Var en årsag til at vi valgte dette hotel. WiFi fungerer ikke optimalt. Fantastisk udsigt. Dejligt at tjekud er kl.12.00 Pas på med skaldyrs pate fra restauranten, kastede op hele natten og dårlig mave dagen derpå. Fik blot en undskyldning.

Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Hotel très bien situé et bien placé à coté du château.Un décor intérieur convivial dans le style du château. Hotel bien tenu. Par contre quelques marches devraient être aménagées dans le couloir pour pour se rendre dans certaines chambres afin de faire rouler plus facilement les valises sans devoir les porter. Personnel très agréable, aussi bien à l'accueil qu'au restaurant !

After flying into Madrid from JFK and driving 3 1/2 hours to Jaen on our way to Malaga, the hotel was just what the doctor ordered. As is our custom when we fly to Europe, we fight our sleepiness and stay awake during the day in order to avoid jet lag. The key is to sleep well the first night, and we did. We were in a superior room, which was indeed superior. The beds were firm but very comfortable, the room was a good size and very clean, the shower strong and hot, the balcony, the view and peace and quiet all exactly what I hoped would be the case. In the morning, the coffee was very good, we did not eat breakfast but the buffet looked very good. Other than the hotel and adjacent castle we were a little bit disappointed with Jaen, the city, but we were only passing through. It was a perfect hotel for a comfortable short stay. We did eat dinner at the bar on the night we arrived and the food was not particularly good but it was fine for bar food and the ambiance was terrific.

The hotel setting is fantastic, with beautiful view overlooking the city of Jaen. This was our second stay at this hotel, the first was fantastic, but this stay was disappointing. The service was average, slow and not very friendly. The bar tender did not know how to prepare basic mixed drinks. The breakfast was fine with some decent options and ala carte menu for hot dishes, but the service was very slow. The room was fine, comfortable and clean. But the toilet was not working during our stay and they could not fix it and had no other room for us as the hotel was full. We had to use the restaurent toilet. Not acceptable considering this was a premium hotel. Overall disappointed in our stay.

Super utsikt over byen, men hotellet for øvrig var en skuffelse. Rommet var ok, men sengen var veldig hard. Frokosten var spartansk og ikke spesielt velsmakende. Dårlig appelsinjuice. Hele hotellet ga tydelig inntrykk av at det skulle spares på utgiftene og gjestene skulle flås. Vannkoker og tre teposer på rommet - ikke noe kaffe. Upraktisk å bo så langt fra sentrum selv om taxi er billig i Spania. Finn heller et hotell i byen. Jaén er en koselig og fin by.

This is a unique hotel that offers some majestic views as it sits high above the city. It is also next to a castle that is worth visiting. Common areas and hallways are very nicely arranged. Our room was a bit cold and there was no way to warm it up as I was told that the A/C unit can only cool. This was a bit unexpected. Given the overall experience though, we had no regrets!

Rooms decent size with balcony overlooking mountains. Bathroom spacious with bath & nice hot shower. Rooms had aircon/heating but unable to adjust, not a big problem as temperature was OK. Bar & restaurant stunning, although bar area was cold in the evening. Food was good, as was service. Portions good size.

Stunning setting. Smallish room but large comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities. Very good options for breakfast.

Fabulous modern hotel made to look like the castle nearby. Lots of quirky features. Room superb, lovely bed linen and towels. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body cream all available in-room. Balcony lovely. Views are amazing and worth the drive with hairpin bends. Dinner and breakfast great. Service throughout was very good.

The parador is situated in a spectacular place. We had a superior room, which was very spacious and had a great balcony with a wonderful view. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.

On a pu apprécier aussi la vue depuis le balcon de la chambre. Le personnel est serviable et la qualité ""Parador"" au rendez-vous. On a pu apprécier également la demie-pension avec un très bon repas bien cuisiné. Le petit-déjeuner était également à la hauteur des espérances avec des produits frais et locaux, le tout dans un cadre médiéval remarquable. À refaire sans hésitation !

I booked D,BnB as a birthday treat for my husband. The location is stunning ,main reception rooms are impressive.Bedroom had a balcony with superb view ,otherwise,purely functional- nothing welcoming.Staff -generally friendly and efficient.Breakfast buffet -huge and freshly cooked omelettes were superb( if rather hurriedly served- I was still eating fruit). Sadly,dinner was a HUGE disappointment .We were seated at 9.00 pm ( very early for Spain) but the restaurant very quickly emptied except for another couple and one lone diner.Staff seemed to consider this the end of the evening and spent our entire time setting up for breakfast all around us.Our starters were OK(MASSIVE) pate- very good,black pudding in rather thick choux pastry- far too much pastry for the delicious filling. My main had clearly been kept warm somewhere was a little burnt around the edges,lukewarm in the middle.My husband’s octopus was ,literally,burnt black and pretty much inedible.When the waitress came to collect our plates and offer dessert,we quietly said as much.She shrugged.We waited to see whether anyone would come to apologise,then gave up and went to leave.Our original waiter and head waiter spoke to us as we left and we repeated how disappointed we’d been Our waiter said sorry. On checkout we’d been charged a supplement for the inedible octopus.Told I should have discussed this with the waiter- I did! Supplement removed’there!Everythingis now good’.NO- absolutely NOT GOOD.

This is a fantastic hotel! We stayed here 20 years ago on our honeymoon and went back for a three day visit now. It was just as wonderful as we remembered. Top notch service from all staff, superb food, great pool area and views to die for! The building itself gives you a feel of a great ancient knights castle and a fair deal of Harry Potter's Hogwarts as well, all for a very fair price. Definitely my favorite hotel in Europe!

It’s a castle! What’s not to like! Great room, beautiful view, beautiful lounge, super helpful and friendly staff. Recommend it highly.

Beautiful hotel and vista; difficult finding how to get there

Quite far from Jaén city center, but in a spectacular location overlooking the city and surrounding mountains. Excellent restaurant and very nice room. Wish we'd had time to try the pool, we'll stay longer next time!

Fabulous historic building. Long walk to city and restaurants but hotel restaurant is excellent and taxis easy to arrange.

Personalen i Restaurangen där vi åt middag var helt suveräna. Frukostbuffén var sådär. Bästa delen var bakverken. Läget är helt fantastisk uppe på höjden. Det är dock inget gångavstånd till centrum. Men så är det ju en Parador 😊

The views are stunning! The hotel is unique, warm, beautiful, and comfortable. We sat on the balcony for hours. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. We are vegetarian and they were kind enough to make our Paella without the meat. Everyone we encountered who works there was kind and helpful. One day in paradise!

Mooi hotel op een super locatie. Ruime kamers met uistekende bedden. Wandeling (met klimmen/dalen) naar de kathedraal duurt 40 minuten. Voor een 4 sterren hotel was de keuze bij het diner en de kwaliteit niet wat je zou migen verwachten. Ook het assortiment bij het ontbijt was niet groot

Beautiful views and location, breakfast seemed over priced. Easy walk to tour the castle. Felt like ancient building, magnificent bar room and dining room.
