A comfortable, conveniently located hotel. This Holiday Inn has friendly, helpful staff and my 5 day stay was problem free. The parking arrangements were a little confusing with the recommended parking (with associated discounts) being a short drive and 8 minute walk away along a relatively uneven footpath that crosses a main road. Confusingly however, there is a immediately adjacent car park (NCP) with significantly easier and straightforward access to the hotel.

The hotel does not let you know that they dont have car parking facilities until you have booked. They also do not tell you that the car park opposite hotel is £22.95 per night and the car park they alternatively offer which is some 7 mins walk away is still £6 per night. Tell the client upfront so that they can make an informed decision. I struggle with walking and have lots of equipment which I wouldnt want to walk 7 mins across leicester city centre with. The room heating was not working, I was scheduled to stay 3 night, I went down on day 1 to notify reception and they advised turn theromstat upto 30 and it should work, it did not and at night I was cold, I called reception at 2am no answer. I notified the front desk on day 2 and told them of this issue, they were apologetic and when I got to the room it was still not functional and another cold night was experienced. I brought this to the attention of the duty manager who fully refunded the 3 nights as he accpeted the hotel was totally to blame and provided a very poor perfomance for my trip. Also you only get notified after booking that the gym facilities are no longer available - just clients information upfront so we can make informed choices

My family and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Leicester and was genuinely impressed by the warm and friendly hospitality from the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable – it really made the experience special. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and ideally located for exploring Leicester. One point worth mentioning is the parking: the hotel currently offers a great £6 overnight deal at the Highcross rooftop car park, which is about a 10-minute walk away. While this works fine, it would be even more convenient if the same offer could be arranged with the NCP car park directly opposite the hotel – it would make arrivals and departures that little bit easier. Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely return. The team here truly know how to deliver genuine hospitality.

hotel - good location, issue for me is the parking, there is a NCP just across the road from the hotel but you cannot get reduced rate to park here and its £22.95 per 24hrs, I am here for 5 nights. They have a deal with another car park some 7- 10 minutes walk away from the hotel which you can get for £6 per 24hr period. However this is not ideal if you have lots of expensive equipment which you need to decant from your vehicle to your room

The parking stairwells in the NCP car park smelt really bad and the charge for overnight was extortionate. As much as this is not owned by the hotel, they should have an arrangement where patrons should be given a discount. There isn’t another car park. Overnight it was £22!

Brilliant stay, great value for money. Large rooms with 2 doubles beds making it extra comfy. The team were lovely and friendly and put our three rooms all together which was great, thank you. Gave 3/5 for service, however this wasn’t for the people, they were great, but the bar was really poorly stocked. Lots of us had to have 2nd or 3rd drink choices as it was so limited. Great location, short walk to bars, restaurants and shops.

The driveway upto the hotel was being repaved so pedestrian access to the hotel was not great. Also the nearby NCP car park is expensive

The room was large and bright, the bathroom was super clean and the beds were especially comfortable! The food was lovely too and there was a large range to choose from for breakfast. There was however an incident where the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building half dressed at midnight. Staff were very responsive and so were the local fire team. The matter in my opinion has already been handled by the duty manager. I will definitely be back again to stay with other family members.

I was really happy with both the cleanliness of my room and public spaces throughout the hotel. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and the breakfast excellent. All staff were friendly and attentive. All in all I found my stay comfortable and convenient for the city centre and public transport. I would definitely stay again.

The property and room was very quiet and clean, apart from the smell in floor 8 corridor. Saying that i did see that floor 6 was being refurbished so assumed they were working their way up. Staff were very professional and the breakfast was plentiful and of very good quality

Lovely stay, staff were amazing. Beds were not the most comfortable for us and there was a bit of a dirty patch on the wall in the bathroom,which we notified staff of when we were checking out, and they were very apologetic.

The only criticism I’d make is that the connecting door between rooms isn’t soundproofed and I could hear every word from next door. This affected my enjoyment of the evening.

I recently stayed at this hotel and booked two rooms, expecting a comfortable experience. However, I was quite disappointed. Both rooms were connected, but oddly enough, not with each other—they were connected to rooms occupied by other guests. While a connecting room wasn’t necessary for us, this arrangement was poorly thought through and significantly affected our stay. Unfortunately, the guests in the adjacent room were very loud, especially around midnight, having loud conversations that made it difficult to rest after a long and tiring day. I tried to call the reception, but the in-room phone either did not work (possibly due to its age) or went unanswered. This left me with no option but to physically go down to the lobby around midnight and file a complaint regarding Room 315. Though I was assured that the situation would be handled—and it eventually was—the damage was already done. I had a restless night and was unable to get the sleep I badly needed. For a brand like IHG, I expected much better service and responsiveness. Additionally, the hotel staff didn’t leave a great impression either. Their attitude lacked the warmth and attentiveness that one would typically expect from a hospitality team. Overall, this experience fell well short of the standard I associate with IHG properties. I hope the management reviews this feedback and makes improvements for future guests.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights in total. Our original room was a 2 double bed room. When we first got our room we were happy. It had a connecting door to the room next door which we didnt think anything of. That was until our neighbours came back. We could hear everything (even the noise of the spoon stirring in their cup). They had a very noisy child who cried constantly and they spoke very loudly. As the connecting door was just a door (not soundproofed or a fire door) it really sounded like they were in the room with us. Their child constantly tried to open the door which scared my autistic daughter and very little sleep was had that night. The next day when we came back from our day out, my daughter was very unsettled, worried about another noisy night of no sleep, so i went and spoke to reception to see what could be done. I spoke to Claire who was a god send. She fully understood the struggle i faced with my daughter and went out her way to help. I offered to pay extra to be put in a room with no connecting door and said i didnt mind if the room only had 1 bed but she took care of everything, moving us to the eigth floor, where the traffic noise was much quieter, and to a room with one double bed but no connecting door (hurrah!). This room was much more spacious and so much quieter. The relief on my daughters face was priceless. I cant thank Claire enough for her help and understanding. We had breakfast each day which was full of variety and well stocked.

The room was cold. The heating was on full but it clearly wasn't efficient. The windows were dated and there was a strong cold draft coming in. We changed rooms (which was an improvement) but with similar issues. The room was a bit dated for the price.

The room was clean and spacious, however the booking stated a king bed and stocked minibar, but the bed was a double and the minibar was empty. Not a big deal and couldn't be bothered to change rooms so we didn't say anything. The location was nice and central with parking easy to find.

Brilliant stay, great value for money. Large rooms with 2 doubles beds making it extra comfy. The team were lovely and friendly and put our three rooms all together which was great, thank you. Gave 3/5 for service, however this wasn’t for the people, they were great, but the bar was really poorly stocked. Lots of us had to have 2nd or 3rd drink choices as it was so limited. Great location, short walk to bars, restaurants and shops.

The stay on this evening was absolutely dreadful. We booked our room at the Holiday Inn in order to wake at 4 am to get the coach from across the road. we were put in a room opposite the two lifts, and next to a bunch of rowdy teenagers. The hotel receptionist inferred that we should’ve paid more, although I’d paid around £80 for the room for limited hours. The receptionist who assigned my room was fully aware that I had to be up early and that I was travelling with a child. I also note that other hotels at roughly the same price, offer, hot chocolate, biscuits, and more often than not have a fridge in the room with bottledwater. The rooms are particularly basic, although the beds comfortable.

My family and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Leicester and was genuinely impressed by the warm and friendly hospitality from the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable – it really made the experience special. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and ideally located for exploring Leicester. One point worth mentioning is the parking: the hotel currently offers a great £6 overnight deal at the Highcross rooftop car park, which is about a 10-minute walk away. While this works fine, it would be even more convenient if the same offer could be arranged with the NCP car park directly opposite the hotel – it would make arrivals and departures that little bit easier. Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely return. The team here truly know how to deliver genuine hospitality.

From the minute we checked in the service was exceptional - attentive receptionist , helpful and friendly waiters at breakfast and dinner made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We love this hotel and have visited before AND will definitely visit again. An extra special shout out to Francisco our breakfast waiter who was simply the best !!! Tip: Ask for a high floor quiet room as traffic can be loud

There was a mixup about room bookings. Someone tried to get in our room, we were told they were given the keys. My husband went to the reception to clear things up. Apparently there was a computer meltdown the other day, and we were not booked electronically but only on paper. Apologies were given and to compensate we were given free breakfast the next day. The manager was most apologetic and professional, ready to help and had a smile on her face.

We found this hotel and its staff to be perfect. The hotel is right in the heart of the city and about 10 mins from the shopping district. The Highcross shopping center car park was ideal to leave the car and we felt it was safe. It showed Leciester to be a real melting pot of communities who welcome people with a smile and easy conversation. Highly recommended for both families and business trips.

Absolutely excellent stay here. The deputy manager was so lovely and welcoming when she greeted me at reception. Shane was also so lovely! Great staff, clean hotel, good location. I couldn't fault it in any way at all. Thank you for a welcoming stay 😀

Overnight stay. Arrived early hours of the morning - check- in very efficient and friendly despite the antisocial hour. Late check out offered as we were getting there so late so we could get some rest and not rush to leave. Staff couldnt have been more helpful. Really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn. Staff on the reception desk, very friendly and professional. They really made me and my family feel welcome. The hotel was clean and orderly, and breakfast was lovley, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were okay and happy. Would definitely come back here.

First and foremost huge thank you to SHANE at the front desk. He was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help make our stay better. However, the issues started immediately when we got to our room and our room stank terribly of cigarettes, we were with children and had to go back down to relocate. Now moving to the room we were relocated to, there were a few TV channels that weren’t working, the room was cold, and the heater wasn’t working. I went to the front desk almost 5 times because the phone in the room wasn’t working and i just gave up going back down.

Some staff were excellent like Sean on arrival at 11pm at night but the staff at checkout were rude. I asked for help with my son who is in a wheelchair just for some luggage and the reception person said not sure if we can as it’s only me here. Was very funny about helping in the first instance! Upset my leave upon departure. Hands 🙌 up to Sean

Great location. Comfy beds. Polite and welcoming staff. Hotel looks dated from the outside but isnt from the inside. Car park is outside the hotel but costs a lot. Use the town centre one (5 min walk). Much cheaper.

The hotel is nice, with spacious rooms. Plenty of towels, iron, ironing board. The internet worked very well. I didn't need them to change the towels every day, but they did. Good breakfast. One thing: the hotel is a little difficult to access on foot. Whether going north or south, it's hard to exit the parking lot and find a crossing. Walking to the university every day, most of us would just run across the street when traffic allowed.

Wonderful stay. Great views. Really comfortable and clean. Awesome breakfast and really friendly and helpful staff. Only niggle I have is actually getting to the hotel, if you arrive by foot you have to run the gauntlet of 3 lanes of traffic which is rather dangerous. A pedestrian crossing and footpath is in deaparate need for health and safety.

Was delighted with my stay at the Holiday Inn. Everything I needed was within walking distance. The reason for my trip Was to visit the final resting place of Richard III. I was minutes from both the visitors centre and the Cathedral. The hotel immaculate throughout the staff were always incredibly helpful. Bar prices were reasonable too.

Very good location! Walking distance from the Clock Tower and the surrounding shopping area and restaurants. The hotel itself looks good, clean - what you would expect from a good hotel. The members of staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good! All in all a good experience! We visit Leicester regularly to see friends and we will definitely check into this Holiday Inn again!

I was really happy with both the cleanliness of my room and public spaces throughout the hotel. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and the breakfast excellent. All staff were friendly and attentive. All in all I found my stay comfortable and convenient for the city centre and public transport. I would definitely stay again.

When I got to this hotel I was slightly early for my check inn. I was told it was not a problem and reception found me a room for me just the same as I booked. All the staff were very friendly and could not do any more for me. I had breakfast both my two days I was there, the food was very fresh and good quality. The service was very good. Kurnal came to my table and cleared my plates for me, he then asked if I wanted anything else. I ask for a cappuccino and he went a got if for me straight away. My room was very clean, I had everything I could of wanted. I ordered room service on my last day , just like breakfast, it was fresh and good quality. The hotel is in a good location. The King Power stadium about 20 minutes walk away and the coach station about 15 minutes walk away. There are plenty of shops and places to eat and drink two minuets walk from the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here, and i would stay again.

Good hotel, clean and modern. Bed was comfy, bathroom clean and smart. My issue is I was in a room with a connecting door to another room. The connecting door is not soundproofed. So I could hear every telephone call and toilet flush from next door like it was in my room. Worst issue was next doors coughing between 3am and 4am like it was in the room. Not next door persons fault, connecting doors need better sound proofing. A shame as it was a good hotel. I’ve booked elsewhere for next work visit to Leicester

A really lovely modern hotel, lovely staff, nice room, tasty breakfast. The car park next to the hotel looked a little rough round the edges so we parked in the Highcross Roof Top car park a 10 minute walk away but it worked well and only £6 for 24 hours. Overall we were really pleased with our stay and would return.
