The hotel is on a busy street that is used by very loud cars and bikes through the night, if you don't sleep well this isn't the hotel for you. The room we stayed in had secondary glazing however this did nothing to help with the traffic noise in the night. The hotel do not offer a cooked breakfast in the morning, breakfast is from Clair's Café next door to the hotel and didn't offer anything to set you up for a day walking in London we booked in at a nearby restaurant for breakfast. Although the hotel says it has a bar there isn't one, there are lots of bars in the area and there is one next door just not one in the hotel.

The hotel welcome was lovely and the room touches were great. Unfortunately spa facilities weren’t available and this wasn’t communicated prior to stay, the welcome email still included them. The hotel space was quite tired in places including elements in the room. Had the price reflected this it wouldn’t have been an issue at all, sadly it didn’t.

The property was adequate for our purposes but overall, it was misrepresented and not as clean or amenable as was advertised. The gym and spa were under construction and we were not notified until I asked where it was located. There was mildew in the shower and stains on the carpets. Needs a deep clean and update.

We were welcomed with a glass of prosseco and very lovely staff. On our day of departure we were offered umbrellas. Maybe update website to tell customers the wellbeing centre was closed as we took costumes unnecessarily. Room was lovely and had all we wanted. Ideal location for London centre Would thoroughly recommend

The room was lovely. I was disappointed that there was no room service available nor any food served at the bar. I was also disappointed that the bar had already closed when I returned from the theatre at 10.30.

The hotel is very small. The pictures make the lobby look much bigger. The rooms are like tiny bedrooms in the USA. Everything is much more dated than it looks online but it’s still clean. The staff are okay. They aren’t friendly but they aren’t rude. There is no breakfast right now as it is under renovation. The elevator is very small and very very slow. The neighborhood is a party district and it’s extremely loud all night long. There are tons of bars, clubs and restaurants nearby. If you’re coming to London to drink and club this is probably a decent place to stay. For us it was far too noisy and cramped and I wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel is charming, clean, accessible to the theatre, Covent Garden, pubs and nearby shopping. Attentive professional staff and very nice breakfast room with great coffee. The rooms are extremely clean and nicely designed. Will definitely return!

Friendly and welcoming front desk staff, clean and comfortable room with a nespresso machine and mini bar, hot shower with good water pressure and a comfortable bed. Quiet even though located in the West End. Great location for theater-goers and walking distance to many of London's top sights.

shockingly noisy until around 4-5 am the rooms are really bright so you literally can’t sleep beds arnt the comfiest and the bed sheets irritated my skin constantly all night will never be returning to say the least.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we booked a Club Twin room. It was located on the third floor and we had a city view. The staff was always very welcoming with smiles. Location was great, close to Chinatown and theater area. And there are two underground stations within a 7-10 min walk. Once we were able to check in, our room had a very overwhelming perfume smell. I cracked the window and we left to grab a bite to eat. Thankfully the smell dissipated while we were gone. There has been an extra layer of windows installed to help with the street noise. On the third floor the street noise was not bad but I cannot speak to what it would be like on ground level. The bathroom was nicely updated, big fluffy towels and bathrobes to lounge in. The provided hygeine products had a very pronounced smell, kind of reminded me of my 6th grade principle's cologne. It did the job of cleansing but in my opinion, not very neutral for all genders. The beds were very firm, but I expect that anywhere in the UK. If you need to do any work or business that requires wifi, i would suggest finding a cafe near by to do it. The connection was very slow and would drop signal every ten minutes. I would consider staying here again, but would definitely bring my own bath products.

Overall it was a good experience with the highlights being location and service, all tye staff were amazing. The bed wasn't great and did make my sleep less good than I would like and that is the main reason for 4 stars.

We loved how this boutique hotel was so centrally located to so many sites we wanted to visit in London. The service was impeccable. However, our room on the 2nd floor did not have a working HVAC, so our room was rather stifling. We were provided an oscillating fan for our second night, but it did not help with the humidity. Thus, four out of five stars.

Can’t fault the location - smack bang in the middle of the action! 2 minute walk to Leicester Square. Excellent service - front desk were really superb. We just booked an “economy double” as at a late night party - the room was really small, much smaller than we expected and the bed looked like a small double but they assured us it was a double. OK for one but not great for two. Shower was good though! Would recommend this hotel but book the next room up on the list and spend a bit more for more comfort.

The Montcalm is a nice hotel in a great location in central London. The “Deluxe” room was small but functional although the queen bed listed on Expedia was only a full/double bed which was not very easy to sleep in for a tall guy. The sound proofing was excellent though and couldn’t hear a festival outside.

Montcalm Piccadilly is right in the heart of Piccadilly Circus - which is great for getting around, but not so great when it comes to noise. The room itself was great, clean, spacious and modern. But even with the window and drapes closed, be prepared for a lot of street noise. Location is great for walking - I was able to walk just about everywhere I wanted to go!

Best features are the location and service of the staff. I was checked in efficiently had everything explained to me and was escorted to the room and show the facilities. The location is very central within walking distance to everything I wanted. The room itself was spacious and comfortable

The hotel is an amazing location which was the main reason that we chose it in order to go to the theatre as well as the good reviews. On arrival the desk staff were extremely helpful and positive with the lobby being fully decorated for Halloween which added to the friendly feel. We were personally shown to our room which was a nice touch, the room was clean and kept well. Unfortunately my wife had developed some health and mobility issues before our trip and after staying one night in the room which only had a stand up shower we asked the night staff if it would be possible to move to a room with a bath and they said that they would be happy to accommodate this and would leave a message for the morning team. We all know that sometimes these things don't happen but when we spoke to them in the morning they said it was all sorted and that they would move our cases etc. while we went out for the day. On our return not only had this been done but we were left a card and bottle of wine hoping that my wife was feeling better. The staff at this hotel are amazing, very friendly and so considerate, I have recommended it to all my friends and we will most definitely be returning, we have never felt so looked after by a hotel team.

What can I say an absolutely amazing stay from start to finish.Wiktoria and her team were on point from minute we stepped in to drop our bags off early. Upon checking in we were shown to our room by an amazing attendant (sorry I have forgotten your name) he showed us all the mechanisms for lighting and heating control. Our bags we had dropped earlier were in the room waiting for us. Customer service is top tier. Beds super comfy and the toiletries are to die for (London sourced & vegan). The extra touches like the suite upgrade with the gorgeous views of the courtyard behind, the free fruit and water in room, the gorgeous gifts of wine, chocolates and our goody bags made the stay extra special. 7 min walk from Leicester Square Tube right on edge of China Town and Soho. Couldn't have asked for a better service or experience. Massive thanks to Wiktoria, Tilly and the rest of the team.

I arrived fairly later on into the evening as a lone female business traveller. On arrivial the two gentlemen on reception were polite but fairly intense, I was requested to provide ID for them to scan, as a UK resident I do not have to do that and I was not confident for that information to be kept on file. One of the young men also follwed me upto my room, opened my room for me and walked inside to show me the mini-bar, which I hadnt asked for and as a solo female traveller I found quite offputting. Not what I needed at 11pm and I did have to ask him to leave. The room was tidy but overall run down and grubby, bathroom shower and sink needed a wipe doen before use and the hotel linen had marks I guess from long-term use.Hotel is on Shaftsbury avenue which is a fairly noisy road, luckily I had my own ear plugs which helped and is something I would highly recommend. Overall this is 3 star standard, its expensive for what it is and I know of other hotels in the area that are nicer standard, less intense reception staff and overall better value money for the price I paid. Probably wont be back.

Had a bad experience and ended up moving to a different hotel for the rest of our stay. The night staff was useless. We had an overflowing shower and toilet that wouldn't stop running. The front desk person was on a personal call (we had returned about 15 minutes earlier) and wouldn't answer the phone when we called. ended up walking down to the desk and he was still on the phone. He sent up another person who said would talk to the manager. Came back 15 minutes later to say there were no other rooms available and then confessed there was no manager on duty when pressed. Also no maintenance people after 8:00pm. The morning staff and manager was very apologetic and attempted to make good on the situation by moving us to a suite etc but we had already booked a new place. They did refund the remaining nights and credited for half the first night. They did their best to address the situation which I appreciated but we already had a new place booked and weren't going to stay. We may give them a try on our next visit as they offered up discounts and upgrades to make up for the issues.

Perfect location for theatre visit. All theatres within 5-10 minutes walk. Hotel nice and quiet, although our room overlooked Shaftesbury Avenue we were not disturbed by traffic noise.

I loved the locale of this hotel. There were many shops, theaters and multiple restaurants to choose different cuisines. The Montcalm Piccadilly Townhouse was within walking distance of Chinatown, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Can’t fault the location - smack bang in the middle of the action! 2 minute walk to Leicester Square. Excellent service - front desk were really superb. We just booked an “economy double” as at a late night party - the room was really small, much smaller than we expected and the bed looked like a small double but they assured us it was a double. OK for one but not great for two. Shower was good though! Would recommend this hotel but book the next room up on the list and spend a bit more for more comfort.

Montcalm Piccadilly is right in the heart of Piccadilly Circus - which is great for getting around, but not so great when it comes to noise. The room itself was great, clean, spacious and modern. But even with the window and drapes closed, be prepared for a lot of street noise. Location is great for walking - I was able to walk just about everywhere I wanted to go!

The hotel is on a busy street that is used by very loud cars and bikes through the night, if you don't sleep well this isn't the hotel for you. The room we stayed in had secondary glazing however this did nothing to help with the traffic noise in the night. The hotel do not offer a cooked breakfast in the morning, breakfast is from Clair's Café next door to the hotel and didn't offer anything to set you up for a day walking in London we booked in at a nearby restaurant for breakfast. Although the hotel says it has a bar there isn't one, there are lots of bars in the area and there is one next door just not one in the hotel.

Hotrl itself is fine ...clean etc, but Breakfast was chaotic with no where near enough room which meant we had to collect our breakfast items and carry them down one floor to another, larger, restaurant ...why wasnt breakfast served there in the first place ??...seems it was geared more to convenience for the hotel rather than service to customers ...very poor.

Reception staff were very friendly and very helpful. Had a wonderful welcome .. luggage was sent to our room whilst out ( thought that was a great touch ) never experienced that before. Bar staff also friendly and breakfast was delicious. Great variety in choice. Great location too.

The room was lovely. I was disappointed that there was no room service available nor any food served at the bar. I was also disappointed that the bar had already closed when I returned from the theatre at 10.30.

The hotel is very small. The pictures make the lobby look much bigger. The rooms are like tiny bedrooms in the USA. Everything is much more dated than it looks online but it’s still clean. The staff are okay. They aren’t friendly but they aren’t rude. There is no breakfast right now as it is under renovation. The elevator is very small and very very slow. The neighborhood is a party district and it’s extremely loud all night long. There are tons of bars, clubs and restaurants nearby. If you’re coming to London to drink and club this is probably a decent place to stay. For us it was far too noisy and cramped and I wouldn’t stay there again.

My wife & I are 68 and 65 year old Americans. We stayed in a Club Room with Continental Breakfast for 6 nights. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good quality with choices of eggs, meats, cereals, fruit, bread/pastries. Our room was ready early which allowed for check-in several hours in advance of the stated 2pm check-in. There was a fruit basket and complimentary bottled water in the room. The hotel is centrally located allowing you to walk to many locations (theater, shopping, British Museum, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, etc.) The closest that I have to a complaint is that there is no grab bar in the shower. It was a very big step in and out of the tub to bathe. My wife (5'2") and I (5'10") both had to hold onto the door jam of the bathroom to be sure that we exited safely. Younger guests probably won't have the same concern, but adding a grab bar should be considered.

We were very impressed with this hotel. Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs - even a call from housekeeping to check if we needed anything replenishing. The room (and bathroom with rainfall shower) were modern and tastefully presented with excellent blackout curtains. The bed was comfortable and good amounts of hanging space with a good number of hangers. A lovely surprise to receive a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and some chocolate brownies to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This hotel is very conveniently positioned for the Sondheim theatre and Piccadilly underground. We were concerned about noise levels but other than hearing a few police sirens going off we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of sleep we had. We very much appreciated the excellent air conditioning on a very hot summers day. The only area that could be improved is the mini bar where drinks were hardly chilled at all.

Utrolig bra beliggenhet, nærme til alt! Personale var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Vi fikk oppgradert rommet vårt etter første natt pga vi ville gjerne ha et større rom, veldig fornøyd med det. Rent hotell.
