Garden View Hotel

Excellent location, close to underground and bus stops, great neighborhood and convenient with shops and food places nearby. Room quality was poor though, fixtures sometimes where broken, no AC in the rooms, very small, old, and the stairs made it very difficult to navigate. We only needed the room to sleep after exploring London all day so it was okay, but it was hard to move around the room with our luggage, and would only get 2 outlets in the entire room!

Location and staff were nice, but the wifi was unusable, we weren't given a hand towel, the only outlet in the room was miles from the bed, and the lift makes a horrible beeping noise which we could hear from the room.

Close to Earls Court tube station and reasonably priced. The lift is extremely small, one suit case and one person only. Hardly had any interaction with reception and unable to contact on one occasion on the weekend. The internet was terrible and only had connection half the time. During the weekend no house cleaning and no toilet paper. Apart from the location I will not return should I visit London again.

It's hard to find good things to say about the hotel. They do have a elevator that holds two people. We booked two rooms for our family. The rooms were dirty exposed wiring in the rooms. The toilets are so close to the wall your knees and forehead touch the walls. I am not a tall person only 5'9" and I had trouble using the bathroom. No AC but they did put a van in one of our rooms. One of the bathrooms had mold on the ceiling. Would not recommend staying at this hotel again. It has a hostile vibe to it.

Hotel in great location ,convenient for Earls Court tube station and local shops and restaurants.Staff are very friendly and helpful..we were able to leave suitcases there when we checked out which was great because our train wasnt due until 4pm.Would definately stay here again based on location and price..offers good value for money.

No complaints on the room, staff but the internet really is the worst I have ever seen. I had to use mobile data the whole stay.

Hotel is a nice short 3-5 minute walk to the Earl’s Court underground station. Had 2 double beds but room was extremely small for the 3 of us and shower is very small as is the 2-person lift. Room was clean and a good value. Would stay again if it was just the two of us. No parking in the immediate area.

Everything was fine. Just no Internet during the entire stay.

DONT BOOK, BEDBUGS Do not Ever stay at this hotel. There was bedbugs, the room stank and they couldnt turn Down the radiator, even though it was very very hot. We left before the first night, as we found out there was bedbugs all over the place. They then didnt answer neither us or hotels.com, until we wrote to them that we would involve out bank. It took Well over 2 weeks to Get our money back. Money that shouldve been spent on rent and gorceries, that we had to loan. Horrible, horrible experience all around, DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL

Room was spotless , kettle etc clean shower spotless but very small and big step up into bathroom was a budget hotel did not realise till after booked and paid that had no lounge or restaurant very like a hostel than hotel, staff extreamly helpful proffesional and friendly. Bed was softer than used too but slept loke a log and woke with no stiffness or pain, a big plus for me as have horrid back problems. If your on a budget and dont mind going out for meals , stay here, staff friendly rooms spotless.

Our room had bedbugs, and the staff refused to give us a new room or a refund.

There are bedbugs in the beds in this hotel. First, we stayed in room 34 and after the first night we got rashes. At first, we thought they were mosquito bites. After the second night we got more rashes. Really terrible! We complained to the hotel, after the 3rd night and they said they didn’t have a n empty room to change our room. They changed our room for the 5th and last night of our stay. Still, we got more bed bites and really bad skin allergic reaction to bug bites. When we came back home, we went to see doctors immediately. We ended up missing one day of work and paying to so much money for different medications. Overall, this hotel ruined our experience of visiting London.

Dirty. With hairs on the wash basin and used towels hanging on the wall, cannot give them any good review.

The worst hotel ever bedbugs in the rooms

The room was in the basement, very hot and didn’t feel safe. I came away with bites, from what looks like bed bugs. You could see through the bathroom door which was very small. Will not be staying there again

During my stay, I was subjected to highly unsanitary and unsafe conditions, which included a bed bug infestation as visible in the attached images (documenting both the mattress with droppings and a captured insect). This resulted in considerable distress, insect bites, and loss of sleep. The room also suffered from suffocating air quality, outdated décor, and poor customer service—despite my reservation for a ‘garden view’ room, I was assigned a basement room with no garden view whatsoever. These conditions clearly violate the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK), which requires services to be provided with reasonable care, skill, and as Accommodation with visible dirt/droppings, poor sanitation protocols, and misleading room allocation is both unfit for habitation and a breach of contract. Specifically: - The mattress had clear stains and droppings, as shown in my photos. - Bed bugs were found on-site and caused insect bites while staying in the room. - The air in the assigned room was stifling, with no ventilation or reasonable comfort. - The decor and overall maintenance were outdated and unacceptable for the advertised standards. - Staff failed to provide adequate support or respond effectively to complaints. - The room allocated was not as described or ordered (a ‘garden view’), but a basement, further adding to the inconvenience and loss of enjoyment.

In good location. Room size good, toilet and shower cramped. Very thin walls, and very loud guests. Woken up at 4am with doors banging and could hear conversation through the walls.

Everybody was very nice and helpful. The room is SMALL. The bathroom is EVEN SMALLER. It’s in a lovely neighborhood. We were happy with everything about this hotel except the sizes. Oh and the showerhead went straight down and couldn’t be tilted. That would’ve helped a lot.

The room was small. We had two adults and it's different to get ready at the same time (and we're pretty small or average size people). I get it, it's London but it's a room with a bed.

Booked for a double room but it was so tiny. A functional Shoebox realyl ! Same for the bathroom. Room was fairly clean but the window ledge and surroundings were dirty. Very hot in the room and no way to open the window for ventilation. The location is great and very close to amenities and tube station

For the price is a good option, the Metro is very close.

Good location, room was quite spacious. Only complaint is that the bed was beside the window and there was cold air coming in from there. Bed also is extremely soft and springy.

Room was tiny and best described as tired. Could not walk either side of bed. Tv was also tiny given room size and at least 20 years old. Location good ans staff friendly enough.

Good location, easy access to tube, quiet part of Earls Court. Room at back 28HL on half landing was more basic than room looking on to garden square on previous stay. Decor and furniture bit tired, shower pressure low but ensuite clean.

Our stay at Garden View Hotel was overall pleasant with a few things to consider. The room was surprisingly more spacious than we expected, which was a nice bonus. The private bathroom was appreciated, though the shower was very small—felt like being on a cruise! On top of that, the shower curtain wouldn’t stay in place, and water got everywhere, which was a bit annoying. Still, having a private bathroom at this price was a plus. Now, the elevator… OMG. It was tiny and super uncomfortable. Only two people could fit at a time, and it felt really suffocating. If you’re claustrophobic, just take the stairs! The host was very kind and accommodating. After checkout, they let us leave our luggage free of charge, which was really helpful. The location was also an advantage—the metro was just a few minutes away, making it easy to get around. However, the walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms, which was a bit unpleasant. As for the area, the host told us he thought it was safe to walk at night, but we personally didn’t feel too comfortable. It was very dark with little to no movement, which made returning from the metro a bit unsettling. Nothing happened, but I wouldn’t recommend solo travelers to walk around at night—better to have some precaution, like carrying pepper spray just in case. All in all, a decent budget option with a great location, but be mindful of the elevator, thin walls, messy shower, and nighttime atmosphere.

The building is way outdated. There is no aircon. There was a fan but we need to ask them to replace it as it was broken. The room is too tight for 3 people. No amenities. The shower handle is broken. The hallway is too tight, it's only 1 person who can walk into it same with the super slow elevator that only fits 2 people at a time. The staff are rude, not very welcoming to guest. I will never stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is perfectly situated. You are close to the central subways and close to everything that you need. The area is nice. Don't expect any service, because you won't get it!

On arrival at 9pm, I had to wait 30mins for anyone to arrive at reception to gain access to my room. There was no way to contact anyone to request they attend reception. My room was on the first floor, compact, but clean. However the radiator was on full blast all night with no way to change the temperature. This resulted in a terrible night's sleep and headache in the morning. Altho the window opened, this lead to a ledge/balcony that ran the length of the building so I didn't feel it was safe to leave open overnight as I was on the first floor.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was even nicer than described and had a lovely view of the gardens in the Square. The sheets and towels were changed daily. Check in and check out times were perfect. Only 2 minute walk from Earls Court station and the main bus stops

We arrived around midnight due to a flight delay and immediately faced issues—there was no ramp, only stairs, making it hard to carry luggage. Our room was in terrible condition, frankly uninhabitable: stained sheets, broken heater door, small holes in walls, curtains falling apart, and a jammed door that trapped us inside for over 10 minutes. The phone and outlets didn’t work, and WiFi was weak since our room was in the basement. No one answered our calls to the front desk, and with the hotel fully booked, there were no other options. Our first night was Trashed! Luckily, I negotiated with Expedia Agent and got re-booked to a great hotel, Best Western in Chiswick Palace for our remaining stay!

The room was basic but clean. Would have been nice to be able to have more control over heating, but were able to open a window. Staff were always courteous and able to help. Hotel is a good budget option in a lovely part of London. Good base if you're exploring.

The property is dated and the elevator is very small, but it’s located in a beautiful area. It’s close to the Underground and bus routes.

Just an overnight stay in this budget hotel, cheap and cheerful, rooms were clean if a bit small, but as always you get what you pay for, staff were lovely, and the hotel was in a great location with Earl’s Court tube station just round the corner.

Nicely located a 7-8 minute walk to Earl's Court subway on 3 handy lines, especially direct to Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line. Many restaurants, shops and services close by. The hotel is quite dated and has no breakfast or even coffee room facilities, or any other amenities for that matter. The mattress is much overdue for a change and the shower head needed a good cleaning to avoid wetting the floor.

The hotel was a major disappointment. Misleading posting on your website. Over priced broom closet rooms without AC. Promised inclusive breakfast -- PRE-PAID - did not exist. Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

The place was clean and tidy with friendly staff, The bed was good, with a good nights sleep on it, and very closely located to the tube station, we wished there was a restaurant for the mornings but a to go bag was available if required.

Really nice and quiet area. Lots of shopping, restaurants near by and the tube is about a five minute walk.

Everything was really good and smooth except for the breakfast part where the breakfast room/corner turned out to be unavailable and instead we had to take to-go breakfast packs for the 3 days we stayed there. It would have been helpful if they indicated it during the booking process and not after we’ve booked. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay— staff were friendly and accommodating. They cleaned our rooms everyday and replaced toiletries and towels that needed replacing even without being asked.

Place was clean small and definitely an older hotel. Location was great. No breakfast area. Was walkable to station and coffee food. It's fine for a few nights but no way a place of luxury.

Excellent base for travelling round London as it literally 5 mins walk from warwick road exit of Earls Court tube. Its 5 mons walk to earls Court high street which has a lot of nice eateries, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are 5 pubs all walkable too and a supermarket on the high street. The hotel is a lovely building, the rooms are quite compact but have everything you need. The bathroom we had was quite small but again had all we need. The lift is tiny but its there if needed. The beds were clean and comfortable. extra pillows were avaiable, there were plenty towels. Tea and coffee making facilities with adequate supplies but the kettle doesn't fit under tap ! Great phone charge points in the overhead bed lights. We'd stay there again.
