PONTOS FORTES: A vista dos quartos e do rooftop é linda, é o prédio mais alto de Copacabana! A reforma da área da piscina ficou ótima! PONTOS FRACOS: A área comum está reformada e bonita porém é pequena para abrigar a quantidade de pessoas que o hotel comporta, ocorrendo tumulto principalmente no café da manhã, elevador e piscina! O café deixou a desejar, o restaurante é apenas buffet com um preço caro para o que oferece! A brinquedoteca é legal e tem monitora, porém é até as 18:30h! Tem 6 elevadores que são para tanto para hóspedes quanto para serviços, ficamos 7 dias e durante toda a estadia 3 elevadores ficaram em manutenção, causando muita aglomeração nos elevadores… para descer para o café era no mínimo 15min de espera, o que acaba muita gente descendo pelas escadas de emergência… nós estávamos com duas crianças e descemos dois dias 10 andares com as crianças de tanta espera!

This hotel is extremely dated. The smell of the hallways were terrible. The rooms were very old and outdated. They had to change my room about three times because there was mode in the first round where the air conditioner was the second round the mold was in the bathroom. The drapes were very stain. I have pictures of everything where it look like it was either beer, bugs or sand residue, but it scared me very much. The best part of the hotel was a rooftop, but it was completely overcrowded every single day. Great location Black overall, I definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Warning, Warning - Hotel under construction and noise is terrible. They are doing construction on the 3rd floor best I can tell and this jack hammers and banging rises up through the floors. Originally I was on the 7th floor but then moved to 12th floor. The noise is still there but not as bad. On Wednesday night at 7:00PM the noise was still there. The building is 30 floors with the pool and one restaurant on that floor. The noise is not heard on this floor. I had mentioned to staff about the noise and that disclosure should be made on the booking engines but little resulted. Very poor situation. On top of this there are two elevators out of 6 that didn't work and in a giant hotel like this the number of people moving is incredible so people are regularly riding in the wrong direction just to get into an elevator after waiting on floors without air conditioning. Just too crowded for any form of relaxation anywhere you go in this property. Will give it a pass next time and go elsewhere.

The location, the Skylab and roof top swimming pool, the gym (which was undergoing an update), the Wave beach club, the breakfast food selection and especially all members of staff, primarily Joao Alfonso on reception and Carmen who looked after my room. All staff were great and professional at all times and were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Please note, some room refurbishment is underway, so a little noisey during the day.

Great views across from the beach large family room. Great buffet breakfast. Awesome infinity pool and rooftop DJ on Saturday night with killer views !! Not just an issue with this hotel but across Brasil is the use of plastic straws, cups and single-use toiletries. The gym should be open on weekend's the same time as during the week.

Room was a bit dated and needed modernization. But overall I really enjoyed this hotel, I upgraded to a junior suite and the view of Copacabana beach is phenomenal. Staff at lobby bar were really good and helped us to watch the football on the tv at the bar. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend.

This hotel has an excellent location on the Copacabana Beach. The rooftop bar and pool is the best highlight of the hotel. Unfortunately it’s a bit on the small side, given the size of the hotel and the number of guest trying to use it. The same could be said of the free beach chairs and umbrellas. Overall the property is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. The air-conditioning in the room has trouble keeping up on hot days. The staff, for the most part was friendly and accommodating, which I didn’t find to be the case in most other areas of Copacabana Beach. The breakfast buffet has a beautiful view of the beach on the third floor of the hotel. The food is plentiful, but not all that great overall, I was very happy with this hotel for the online description and the pricing. I would stay here again and recommend it.

The breakfast menu was fresh but remained the same everyday, with high made breakfast a tedious affair because of the low protein options available daily. I had an excellent ocean view. We arrived to check in at just after noon and there was a huge queue. Check in took 40 minutes but we were able to access our room at that point. The room was very big with a view of the ocean. Sadly the windows provided very little sound proofing and the ‘party’continues all night on Cocacabana Beach. The roof top pool area was divine and we loved spending time relaxing there in the sunshine Sadly at check out we were met with a similarly long queue / wait. It is a big hotel, with more than 500 rooms. More staff are needed on reception at busy times.

Perfect location right on Copacabana beach. Doors within the room slide open so you hear the noise constant all through the night. Paid for a beachside superior room and it’s pretty much the same as a standard room so wish I didn’t waste the money. Luggage was lost for 5 days within my connecting flight and concierge were a great help - the reception staff not so much. Overall a pleasant stay but would say this is a 3* at most due to the property being very outdated within the bedrooms.

The entire experience was awful. Hotel rooms were average and despite being eligible for a free room upgrade with my hotels.com status it was not granted. Staff were unfriendly and service was terrible. Had to request things like someone to clear drain in shower multiple times and wait over a day. Would never recommend. Complained so many times and manager was never available.

Great room, great location. Amazing view from the rooftop pool/bar. My only concern is with communication from Othon. According to the Othon we page and Othon app, the front desk is 24 hours. But according to the email I received from them they say the check in desk closes at 11:30pm. Which is it? Since our flight was arriving late I thought I would confirm that the check in desk would be open. I tried calling, I tried email, I tried chat on the Othon app, I tried WhatsApp. I got no response (zero) from anyone at Othon on none of these communications channels. Turns out the desk is open 24 hours, which is great but why does the email say something different and why didn't anyone answer my question?

Check in was super slow. Only two people checking guests in at check-in time and each one seemed to take 15 minutes and a couple of walks back and forth to a back office where they typed things in to a computer!? The WiFi was slow and didn’t remember guests after a few minutes which required signing in several times a day. The rooms were dated. You have to walk to the beach to get a towel even if you weren’t going to the beach across the street. Otherwise, our stay was amazing and the breakfast had tons of choices! Can’t beat the location and the views from the top!

Tried to contact 4 different extensions (1was assistant mgr & another receptionist) one evening without any of them being answered to highlight an issue! Fantastic hotel directly across from Copa Beach.Ie room had an incredible view of and was spacious. The Bathroom was well appointed. The Breakfast was top notch. I was The staff was extremely helpful and hospitable. I was Our only disappointment was was that the pool and top floor Restaurant were not open because of renovations, but I despite being told via email that it would be completed before our arrival date. W That That would have been icing on our stay had it been opened. I was Regardless, I we probably will stay there again in the future. I I highly recommend The Othon Palace Hotel.

Excelente hotel em Copacabana! Localização perfeita, serviço impecável muito limpo e com um amplo buffet de café da manhã com suco de laranja natural e opções veganas e sem glúten. Hotel antiguo pero muy bien conservado. La habitación con vista frontal al mar es preciosa y nos da hermosas vistas de la playa. Nos permite disfrutar des las primeras horas del día hasta el de la jornada. Estupendo balcón. El desayuno es agradable y abundante. Mucha fruta, fiambres y quesos, bollos de panadería sencillo y variado. Todo muy gustoso y bien atendido por el personal con reposición constante. Jugos varios y jugo de naranja natural y exprimido en el momento por una máquina estupenda!. Por supuesto el café es de filtro y cumple con su cometido. Hay leche y agua caliente para el té varios tipos y gustos. También hay comida calientes, variedad en huevos cocidos. Algo me esto olvidando, por eso los invito a conocer el Othon Palace!!! Excellent upgrade with beautiful panoramic views of Copacabana. Breakfast included on the 30th floor with great views as well. Beach towels and chairs available for free but subject to availability (which means unless you wake up early, no chairs for you). The executive room was great but honestly needs major upgrades. Wow. I was surprised they would not upgrade their suites.

The breakfast was like a nightmare cruise. The hotel is a tourist trap. The rooms are outdated and the elevator is always packed. My room had a nice front view of the beach. I didn´t dare enter the small and packed swimming pool and the sauna are is a joke. Wake up cariocas, make better hotels.
