Great room. Spacious enough for family of 4. Bathroom was ok, but extractor fan wasn’t working which meant damp is setting in but early stages. Staff were amazing and friendly. Area is has a lovely massive green space. Parking is 15 minutes to drop off. You have to be very quick we you will get ticket. I think this should be extended to 30 mins as larger families found it difficult to get crying kids out after long drive etc. closest parking is the open car park inside the University grounds. It’s £5.50 for the day until 12am. So remember to schedule next day on Ringo app in case you fall asleep before 12am. Parking isn’t far but still enough of a walk if you have to lug your luggage back and forth due to short drop off time.

Suited my purpose for a 1 night stay on business. No parking always a pain but its the same in most hotels in the area so having a few car park choices a few min walk away was fine.

Had a lovely stay at Leornado hotel Southampton. Fantastic value for money, fabulous breakfast with a great variety to choose from. Clean rooms & very attentitive staff. Thankyou The only slight issue is because this hotel is central it doesn't have it's own car park which was a bit tricky and the pull in area to download is very tight too but itherqise amazing stay.

Lack of staff on Reception but those that were working were very pleasant. We had to leave our luggage as had to be out of room but it was too early to go to Cruise Port. The storeage facility was TOTAL CHAOS. One of r suitcases was just left behind Reception with others total lack of security & others in a room. The guy on Reception couldnt find them & wouldnt let my husband in to identy them. We had a taxi waitinh outside costing us money so my husband insisted in going in. There must have been 100 cases with no system whatsoever. Only my husband woukd have been able to identfy our luggage. This woukd put us off ever staying again pre cruise.

The storeage facility was TOTAL CHAOS. One of r suitcases was just left behind Reception with others total lack of security & others in a room. Great welcome at reception. Only downside is that the bar area does not open until 12 noon so if you arrive early you cannot get a refreshment. Super tasty meal in the evening and first class service in the bar. Thank you for a great short stay.

Excellent staff at the front desk - very prompt with checking in/out, solving a key issue. The rooms have been updated but the bathrooms are quite dated. Cleanliness level was also inconsistent and not the best (the ceiling was filled with dust bunnies; one of the towels was definitely not clean).

overall a good hotel to stay at, but bathroom once arrived was not cleanly. There were stains all over the bathroom door, and the couch was ripped like a cat had attacked it.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed, room was tired with stains on the carpet, bathroom had areas of rust and a shower curtain rather than a screen. The communal stairs had worn out carpet and some areas need attention. The breakfast and reception area was nice and we were given a slightly later checkout as our cruise ship was delayed. Breakfast was nice but poor choice for vegetarian/vegan in the hot food. Overall a good hotel which is a little tired in some areas, friendly staff and a good location. I’d stay here again.

Hotel is located on the middle of a roundabout. The room we booked for 4 people was so small and had a strong cigarette odour. Hotel were short on pillows. Very thin walls. Beds very uncomfortable. Shower was hot but not much pressure. Very low budget hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights however we left quite disappointed. Our room was on the 4th floor and Im not sure how many times we had to go back on reception to take new room keys as they just stopped to work at anytime! The room was really dirty! Dirty towels, dust everywhere, hair in the bathroom on the floor and in the bathtub. We stayed at the one in London and it was amazing, nothing to do with this one. When I mentioned it at receptionist he apologised and said he would pass the complaint to HK department. He also asked if we wanted to change room but with 2 little kids we had lots of stuff so we refused! We won’t be staying again sorry! Hygiene it’s a must in 2024!

Our room was acceptable. We found the bed harder than we like. Our principal problem was that the air conditioner broke down and we woke up in the middle of the night because it was uncomfortably hot. The hotel did refund us a portion of our payment as a result.

Nice room, decent size. Biggest complaint is lack of AC in rooms. Do not believe what is listed on the hotel sites amenities. They have AC in the hallways and lobby but not actual working AC in the rooms. There is a control on the wall that does nothing. Room temp was about 26C/78F and humid. If the heat doesn't bother you then go for it!

We liked our stay. However, the biggest problem was our room (424). The A/C was constantly turning off and not turning back on automatically. We had to manually turn it back on each time. Also, the a/c air temperature was only slightly cool which caused the room to be constantly warm and uncomfortable. We were only staying 2 nights so we decided to grin and bear it.

Great value, Well insulated quiet room. Great location. Staff let us check out an hour late. We will return. Great coffee. Restaurant food looked excellent as well. Perfect for a before the cruise hotel.

Room looked tired, unwelcoming and was too small for a double and a single bed. Very cramped. Musty smell. Bathroom old and tired. It was really hot but AC didn’t work No hair dryer available I immediately called reception, was promised someone would bring yp an hairdryer and come to look at the AC but no one arrived. Left the room 45 mins later, went to reception and reported again. Receptionist again said she would request a hairdryer, and get someone to look at AC. Receptionist called me whilst out and said we would be re-roomed to floor 12. Had to pack and relocate ourselves at 11pm when we returned from a concert. Still no hairdryer in the room so receptionist asked again for this item. Minimal bar staff to serve drinks, uncomfortable seating in bar, with no ambience, not a welcoming environment. Breakfast disappointing. All in all, not the experience I would expect.

This is a well located, friendly but over priced and in poor condition hotel. The staff are wonderful, but the rooms are in a real need of updating / repair. The room didn’t feel clean at all. The breakfast was pretty poor, but edible. For the money I expected so much more given the part of the world it is in.

Agent said I would need to wait and speak to her colleague who had a big queue (she was doing nothing). Turned out when I did finally get to the front all I had to do was pick up a courtesy phone and call one myself. Why could she just not have told me that? As a result I was late for my appointment. Staff poor on both check-in and check-out. Seemed totally disinterested in the customer.

There must have been 100 cases with no system whatsoever. Only my husband woukd have been able to identfy our luggage. This woukd put us off ever staying again pre cruise.

Everything was absolutely spot on. From our initial greeting from Nicole who was on the front desk until the time we checked out. Most courteous hotel staff we have ever encountered, the room was immaculate, only stayed one night but it will be our hotel of choice whenever we visit Southampton.

Check in was very slow. Only one person doing check-in. Raised an issue with front desk staff regarding the air condition being broken. I was told someone would be up shortly to fix it. After more than an hour I went back to the front desk where the man who was now on the front desk lied to my face about it being fixed. When called out, no apology that he had lied. We ended up with a room change.

The hotel was conveniently priced in Southampton where many other hotels increase their prices exhorbitantly to cash in on those coming to Southamption during the cruising season to get on or off cruise liners - for others who just have to get on with life, the Leonardo offers an affordable and smart option, although its location on a traffic island with poor parking facilities probably explains why it is not a favourite for those who are arriving by car.

We’ve stayed at this property a few times now. We like it here as it’s really convenient for a night out in Southampton. Just a quick walk through a lovely park and you are in the heart of the city, convenient for the many pubs, bars restaurants and shops. Southampton guildhall and the Mayflower theatre are a stones throw away. The hotel is spacious, welcoming and clean . There is a bar and food if you want and breakfast all at an additional cost. The only downside is that it is on a busy road which at times can be noisy but that’s city life I suppose. Sometimes you can’t keep the windows open because of this and it gets a bit hot in the room. It does have air on but that’s a bit noisy too. Doesn’t put me off returning though as I feel this hotel is good value for money 😊

We were there for just one night, prior to a cruise. Getting a taxi the next morning was an issue, as there were 4 cruise ships in port. We were travelling with 4 others, so got 1 taxi for 2 and big luggage, and the rest of us walked to the terminal, a 45 minute walk. Weirdly, the hotel is in the middle of a traffic circle, easily crossed to a beautiful park, close to high street

Frankly not worth the £135 I was charged for a small and grubby room. Understaffed so be prepared to wait for check in and bar service. 15-20 mins wait at both. Theres no parking apart from down the road. The hotel is in the middle of a traffic island. Homeless sleeping in the streets out side and a dodgy walk into town through a park if you are brave enough. I know Ill never stay here again

We stayed in this hotel the night prior to boarding a cruise ship. The hotel offered a nice breakfast and a direct phone line for ordering a cab to take us to the ship. There is a nice public park within walking distance to the hotel, as well as several restaurants.

We stayed here one night before leaving for a cruise. The restaurant wait staff were exceptional! The bartender took our order, served our food and cleaned up. While we waited for our food to be cooked, he switched out table center pieces in the restaurant and all with a smile on his face! The food was also tasty! Easy access to ride shares. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed, room was tired with stains on the carpet, bathroom had areas of rust and a shower curtain rather than a screen. The communal stairs had worn out carpet and some areas need attention. The breakfast and reception area was nice and we were given a slightly later checkout as our cruise ship was delayed. Breakfast was nice but poor choice for vegetarian/vegan in the hot food. Overall a good hotel which is a little tired in some areas, friendly staff and a good location. I’d stay here again.

Great welcome at reception. Only downside is that the bar area does not open until 12 noon so if you arrive early you cannot get a refreshment. Super tasty meal in the evening and first class service in the bar. Thank you for a great short stay.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel downstairs is pleasant. Rooms are average... perfectly adequate for a short stay or business trip. Breakfast is average; could add some hash browns and some nicer orange juice.

Hotel lovely and clean and location near park, 10 min walk to central station and main shopping district. Had to amend booking to include an additional adult..initial contact with hotel and Hotels.com wasnt very satisfactory, however, after contacting property again a day later, the member of staff I spoke to couldnt have been more helpful. Not sure if I can say her name here, but she was brilliant and I had a more than satisfactory outcome. I did get the chance to thank her in person on my departure. Nice vibe in reception area albeit very busy on my arrival due to cruise passengers, but didnt wait long to check in and the lady who sorted my issue out had made sure everything was in place for my check in. Very pleasant stay.

The hotel was great with excellent service from all of the staff. Rooms were clean and roomy. We ate the breakfast buffet which was ok, but it may be that some of the options were not necessarily what we would like to eat. Would rather have more pastry options to choose from as it seemed very limited. Food in bar was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Really not a 4 star hotel & certainly not worth the £151 we paid! Hotel is quite run down & shabby especially in stair areas/corridors. Very noisy outside the window. There were several used glasses/rubbish on window ledges. Breakfast was nice 👍
