We stayed here for the weekend to attend a concert. I chose a small room as our trip was unfortunately short and we weren’t going to be in our room much. The room was exactly what we wanted and needed. There was a shower & toilet a super comfy bed, tv, coffee making facilities, mini bar & snacks and we had a door leading to a small courtyard with chairs & a table. The hotel has a cafe that is open to the public and breakfast was included with the room. We had a lovely coffee each morning and I selected the granola & yoghurt pot whilst my husband was happy with toast and marmalade. There were other options available as well & on the last day I also purchased a cheese & ham croissant which was delicious. Everything was fresh & tasty. You will need to contact the hotel if checking in after 3pm as both reception and the cafe have closed at that time, but they will send you details of how to obtain access to a key lock box. There is secure parking onsite that you will need to book in advance of your arrival and a few lovely restaurants/cafes located within a short walking distance. The hotel is on a quiet street surrounded by residential homes. Staff booked us a taxi to the airport which is only a 15-30 minute ride away depending on time of day/traffic. The staff are helpful & friendly & our room was also pet friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

In order to get to our rooms we had to go walk through the car park gates with a code and a panel of buttons. Not great. The front desk shuts at 3pm. Love the bar inside though nobody was there on Sunday to serve. Love the dogs policy which is why we booked. Woollahra shopping, cafes, restaurants, pubs are fantastic. So this is a mixed review. My room was small. My friend's room had two terraces (great). We found the car parking booking confusing and he had to park on the street for the first day. Over to others for a review...

Great location, older style building but gorgeous, very comfortable beds, pet friendly, minibar with reasonable prices, secure parking. Unfortunately they have sensitive smoke alarms and someones shower set it off at 1am - making us evacuate... but apart from that, great stay!!! Definately value for money!

Property is convenient to SCG. Rooms are basic but suitable. We found correspondence with manager slow & had to chase him up twice - once early on for no answer to an email and again with self-checkin, when room advised was incorrect (which he knew but waited till we got there at 10:30pm & couldn't get in - had to call the AH nbr & he told us then). Notwithstanding, we'd stay here again.

The old hotel is charming, the floors creak, the position is wonderful, pet friendly a huge plus, can’t always get a parking space, and a stronger bedside light would be welcomed as oldies like to read a book! Overall though, highly recommended.

Staff were all very pleasant, and the location was perfect for what we were looking for. The room, however, wasn't clean. The small bathroom had inadequate extraction and no window, causing it to quickly fill with steam when used. Consequently, the bathroom had a notably musty smell and the grout and door frame were covered in flecs of mold. Additionally, normal use of the shower resulted in water covering the floor, quickly overwhelming the somewhat inadequate bath mat provided. On entry the toilet had also not been cleaned under the seat. The curtains and chairs in the front area of the room were also stained and seemingly not recently cleaned.

Our first stay in a boutique hotel was very pleasant. Room #10 was pretty spacious, clean, bed was comfortable, A/C worked great. Nice little private patio. Slight sewage smell comes from drain in bathroom floor, and no way to vent it - no window to open and no exhaust fan. Breakfast was tasty and a nice plus. Quiet tree lined streets. Within a 3 minute walk to bus stops.

Very old hotel with poor accommodation. Room has a old carpet which made my husband to be very alergic (if you have asma or any lung condition, dont book it) The room smells old and there was always a cockroache in the room hall - terrible The room is also quite small The positive things are: the shower and breakfast (despite quite small - a Sandwich and a coffee)

Lovely, quirky hotel. Walking distance, if going to a show at Moore Park. A bit on the older side but our room was lovely and clean. Comfy bed. Everything we needed for a one night stay to see Cirque du Soleil. Friendly staff.

This hotel has probably been a very nice hotel 10-20 years ago, but today it is pretty worn out. A renovation and cleaning is necessary. The location is good, but the included breakfast from the in house cafe was quite boring. You get a voucher and can choose between a limited number of options. It is not a breakfast buffet. We were in the room 40 next to the parking lot, which was nice, but the missing ventilation in the bath room only gave us the choice of opening the window to the parking lot when showering or activating the fire alarm. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and full of mould on the edge against the wall. Great sheets and towels.

Unfortunately we chose the cosy option which was the wrong choice for us. The shower was the worst we have ever experienced. We loved the hotel itself and the staff were brilliant. We wish we could have had a much bigger room and bed!!

Our room was ready before normal check-in time and was a convenient location with a family member in hospital at St. Vincent’s. Bed was very comfortable, only downside was the tv had red lines though the screen which a bit annoying. I needed to book another night and never got a call back when leaving a message.

Beautiful heritage hotel in prime location in Paddington. The guy on the front desk was one of the most friendly, welcoming and helpful people we've met. Free breakfast was a nice bonus. Would love to stay here again next time we are in Sydney.

Property is convenient to SCG. Rooms are basic but suitable. We found correspondence with manager slow & had to chase him up twice - once early on for no answer to an email and again with self-checkin, when room advised was incorrect (which he knew but waited till we got there at 10:30pm & couldn't get in - had to call the AH nbr & he told us then). Notwithstanding, we'd stay here again.

We stayed at the Hughenden Boutique Hotel for 3 nights while we attended a concert at Allianz Stadium. The walking distance is short and the hotel was comfortable and clean with very friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Great for a reasonably priced hotel close to the city, its quite basic however had everything we needed, was clean and beds were super comfy, very close, walkable distance to Moore park, horden pavillion with a late night pizza shop open till 2am a few doors down, very handy! Would stsy there again for sure!!

We stayed here for the weekend to attend a concert. I chose a small room as our trip was unfortunately short and we weren’t going to be in our room much. The room was exactly what we wanted and needed. There was a shower & toilet a super comfy bed, tv, coffee making facilities, mini bar & snacks and we had a door leading to a small courtyard with chairs & a table. The hotel has a cafe that is open to the public and breakfast was included with the room. We had a lovely coffee each morning and I selected the granola & yoghurt pot whilst my husband was happy with toast and marmalade. There were other options available as well & on the last day I also purchased a cheese & ham croissant which was delicious. Everything was fresh & tasty. You will need to contact the hotel if checking in after 3pm as both reception and the cafe have closed at that time, but they will send you details of how to obtain access to a key lock box. There is secure parking onsite that you will need to book in advance of your arrival and a few lovely restaurants/cafes located within a short walking distance. The hotel is on a quiet street surrounded by residential homes. Staff booked us a taxi to the airport which is only a 15-30 minute ride away depending on time of day/traffic. The staff are helpful & friendly & our room was also pet friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The proximity of this hotel to the stadium is great however the hotel is only average for the cost. The room was only in fair condition. The floor was not vacuumed, beer bottle on the verandah from previous guest, the lounge was severly stained. The bed and pillows was comfortable. Breakfast was average and delivered at over 20 minutes between my wife's meal and my own. Overall average to disappointing especially for the huge price.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and have character, the whole hotel has warmth and charm. It is pet friendly, pets looked like they were living their best life, staff were amazing with pets and people. Breakfast is great with healthy options and terrific coffee. Location is great, i forgot i was in Sydney it was a quieter and more relaxed feel here. Walkable to shops and restaurants left and right straight outside the door. A big thanks to all the staff we had a lovely time, we will definitely come back for longer next time.

Good value at this nice boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. We had no problems getting around on the bus and walking. Lots of restaurants nearby and breakfast is included at their little cafe. Highly recommend!

This hotel has probably been a very nice hotel 10-20 years ago, but today it is pretty worn out. A renovation and cleaning is necessary. The location is good, but the included breakfast from the in house cafe was quite boring. You get a voucher and can choose between a limited number of options. It is not a breakfast buffet. We were in the room 40 next to the parking lot, which was nice, but the missing ventilation in the bath room only gave us the choice of opening the window to the parking lot when showering or activating the fire alarm. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and full of mould on the edge against the wall. Great sheets and towels.

This is a great place to stay. It is a residential lovely area in Paddington/Wollahra area very close to centennial park and with many lovely local cafes/restaurants. I will always book this hotel when in Sydney. The breakfast was awesome and the coffee just great. You really feel like a local here. You can explore a local Sydney in this area and still have access to public transportation meters away. The house is lovely.

Barista great….. good coffee a must in the morning😀 Location brilliant & close proximity to public transport, shops , restaurants. Premise old however fairly maintained so as not to look tired. We & friends who stayed there will certainly be returning.
