The property is a delightful historical site. Our large Amelia Jane room was perfect for our family of four. We were pleasantly shocked by the scrumptious and enormous breakfast included with our stay. The Inn shares the street with the impressive Parliament building and sits across from the harbor. Be prepared to carry luggage upstairs since there's no elevator.

Great location! It’s across from the ferry terminal. The downtown area is nearby in walkable distance. Breakfast was like a mini tea. Building is old but well maintained. My room was clean and pretty quiet at night. Pendray inn is fairly small (no facilities) owned by the same owner as the adjacent Huntingdon hotel so i assume you can use what facilities that hotel has. Overall great service and we enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place .The inn is part of a bigger complex. Our room was delightful- classic old manor estate home . Great location ; 10-15 minute walk to everything. Breakfast was similarly fun and well done . Parking was easy - an extra $15 but worth it . Would absolutely recommend this Inn- makes for a fun and enjoyable Victoria getaway.

Gorgeous historical building. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The included breakfast was special too. Highly recommend this property as long as you can manage stairs. Easy walk to the harbour area and Fisherman’s Whatf.

Historical, charming and comfortable. Most excellent breakfast and teas. No elevator or assistance. Worth the stairs but don’t expect any help with bags. If you want a quirky experience try this out. I enjoyed the easy walk to harbor and points of interest nearby.

We have a wonderful break at the Penderay Inn. Beautiful property, nicely decorated for the the holiday season. The breakfast is included and a real treat. Nicely presented with well prepared choices. Worth noting that there is no elevator so you need to be able to manage the stairs The staff was helpful and friendly.

The hotel is kept in old English style. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean but somewhat poorly maintained. Our room had furniture with big stains, poorly hidden electrical cords shattered the look of the room, it also had a very small TV and no AC was available. More value for money may be found elsewhere. Breakfast was good and the location too.

Upon arrival, we were told to check-in at their sister accommodation next door because they did not have a concierge available on that day. When we finally check-in, we discovered that the room does not have air conditioning but they had two fans running. Unfortunately, it was a hot day and it felt like a sauna in the room. In addition, it was stuffy, dusty and did not appeared to be very clean. Thankfully, the Huntington Manor receptionist was able to switch our reservation to theirs and it was such a clean, comfy and air contioned room. I would gladly rebook again with the Huntington Manor. 5 Stars for the Huntington Manor!

The room was supposed to be made up each day. The first day was late, the second day they forgot the bathroom, and the third day they forgot the bed. Toiletries were never replenished our entire stay. Disappointing.

The room was fine. But there are several considerations before anyone books this location. First, there is a massive construction project directly across the street. The noise and smell is bothersome. However, we were out of the room for most of the day. The TV in the room was very hard to operate. We had to have the staff come up and try to get it to work 2 separate times in 3 days. Lastly, we were on the 3 floor of the building. All Stairs. If climbing stairs is a fun thing for you, then this is your place!

Gorgeous Property, But Loretto’s Loft Is Not Worth the Price Pendray Inn is a beautiful historic building with lush gardens and a lovely dining experience overlooking the harbor. Staff were kind, and most rooms seem charming. However, I had a deeply disappointing experience staying in the “Comfort Double Room,” also called Loretto’s Loft. This room is a converted attic space split almost 1:1 between bathroom and bedroom. The result is a long, narrow bedroom with a sharply sloped ceiling, making nearly half the space unusable. When lying in bed, your head is less than 20 cm from the ceiling. It feels cramped, awkward, and easy to bump your head even while seated. There’s also no proper desk or table — a basic expectation in a room costing over $300–$400 per night. The bathroom is surprisingly large, making the imbalance even more noticeable. Worse, the furnishings feel cheap and out of place compared to the inn’s otherwise elegant decor. The mattress was one of the least comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a Canadian hotel — not even close to the standard you’d expect for this price range. Overall, this room feels like a hastily added space, not in line with the rest of the inn. It simply does not justify the price.

The location and breakfast were great. The room though was hot and stuffy. There was no air conditioning and no screens to allow opening the windows so it was very uncomfortable at night. We did try to open the windows however we had some wasps come in so had to close them.

The front desk gentleman was very friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service upon our arrival. However, our experience at breakfast the next morning was disappointing. The staff member dressed in all black and wearing a black mask had a terrible attitude. They did not introduce anything to us and treated us with clear discrimination, speaking to us in a sharp and unfriendly manner while treating the two nearby tables of white guests completely differently. The contrast was shocking and unacceptable. Additionally, the hotel room was very small, the facilities were outdated, and the soundproofing was poor. We could hear noise from other rooms and the hallway, which made it difficult to rest. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Nobody at the front desk both at arrival (though i received an email to invite me to come as my room was ready) nor at departure the next day. When we got there they gave us a room that someone was already occupying.., a little embarrassing when we walked in on them. Then they gave us a great room but it didn’t have a shower… otherwise great place to stay, very historic!

When we got there they gave us a room that someone was already occupying.., a little embarrassing when we walked in on them. Then they gave us a great room but it didn’t have a shower… otherwise great place to stay, very historic!

Anna was wonderful at check-in! We loved the welcoming drinks. Our room was huge! Such a cool historical hotel. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Walking distance to everything.

The room was fine. But there are several considerations before anyone books this location. First, there is a massive construction project directly across the street. The noise and smell is bothersome. However, we were out of the room for most of the day. The TV in the room was very hard to operate. We had to have the staff come up and try to get it to work 2 separate times in 3 days. Lastly, we were on the 3 floor of the building. All Stairs. If climbing stairs is a fun thing for you, then this is your place!

We stayed in mid-December, so we didn't get to enjoy the gardening, but my wife and I enjoyed the quiet pre-Christmas atmosphere. The night view from the balcony of our room was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located within a short walking distance to explore the town. Note that most stores, except for restaurants, close at 6:00 pm.

Gorgeous historical building. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The included breakfast was special too. Highly recommend this property as long as you can manage stairs. Easy walk to the harbour area and Fisherman’s Whatf.

We typically stay at a similar competitor hotel when we come to Victoria but we found the Pendray was superior for a similar price. The breakfast was inventive and delicious and the rooms were large and quaint. We will be back.

Lovely period inn with a great location. Breakfast was distinctive and delicious with a variety of breakfast cream tea options. Megan was a great service. Emmerson was very pleasant on arrival. Room was quaint with a separate living area. Parking was easy. Overall an excellent stay.

The property is advertised as a B&B...the part they don't mention is it adjacent to a 140-room hotel. There is no lounging area, the lobby is tight and in the morning full of guests from.the hotel and general public wanting breakfast at the exact same time you are FORCED to reserve a table for your breakfast as a guest of the B&B.No room service either. Same set mediocre menu every day. Feel completely misled and would not choose this location again. Plus side close to the ferry terminal.

We are a family of 4 and booked a family room with 2 double beds. The room was spacious but we found using the shower difficult. It was a hand held showerhead over a small bath tub - there was no where to attach the showerhead when standing up. It looks nice but is not practical and we found water easily escaped onto the bathroom floor. The hotel has tried to maintain the Victorian style, however it did still feel quite tired inside (there was external decorating happening though which will look nice once complete). Breakfast was included in our room rate and it is served in the layered style of afternoon tea. The staff were not particularly friendly and expected a tip after breakfast service even though it was included (I only mention this as it felt unusual and was not our experience in any other hotels we stayed in). I booked this hotel as an alternative option to the more modern style hotels available in the area. It was quirky and had a different feel but perhaps not the best option for a family. The location was very good though and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the museum etc.

Be prepared for a classic yet aged Victorian building. Hallway and room was kind of stale and musty. Breakfast though was a great treat. You have to want to experience staying in this kind of building or you might be complaining about it like my partner. Oh, and the construction across the street is ruining the harbor view.
