Great location, beautiful view and helpful staff. The rooms however were lacking. When you pay $500-$600/nt it would have been nice to have a dresser in the room, a full length mirror, extra shelving in the bathroom for toiletries, a microwave, and a kettle to make tea and maybe warm up some food. Seating to enjoy the view from the balcony would have been thoughtful. I understand the balconies were tiny but even having a couple of stools to sit out would have been a nice touch. The gym is all but 3 machines and a bench. To have hundreds of rooms and a tiny gym that is so claustrophobic that is just not right. To remain comfortable, you would only want to be there alone or with just one other person. The staff were wonderful though, all except one man at the front who seemed so annoyed and tired of his job.

When I got to the hotel I realized that I couldn’t park my f150 under the private parkade because the height clearance was 6’2” max & most places are 12” more clearance making it 7’2” height The toilet was broken weather knowing it or not as they had just released the room to us 2 hrs ahead of checkin in Elevator was broken for whatever reason so we were led through the back doors of service staff which I thought was “thoughtful” but was really unprofessional considering the 2 workers could have guided us to where we needed to go until we got there (I thought it was dangerous due to the fact that you don’t know what’s kept behind closed doors & what kind of clearance you need due to various reasons) our stay was decent so that’s why I’m giving 3 stars

we got an upgrade for small money to the highest floor - great room with fantastic view ! The entrance to the parking garage at the hotel is too low for bigger SUVs. We had to pay for a privat parking some hundred meters away.

Booked for mother's day weekend, likely wouldn't go back. For the price, the value wasn't there. Advertised as having an ocean facing deck, you could only stand on the small deck, there wasn't room for chairs that didn't exist. No perks other than coffee in the room. Breakfast at the restaurant was mostly disappointing with forgotten and frozen food that we were still charged for and $28 a day to park? No thank you, I parked 1.5 blocks away for free. The staff at the front desk were nice but it also wasn't clear that I had to use my Hotels.com gift card when I booked so that was no fun at check out either. Note if you are booking, the Laurel wing faces more of the canal than the ocean and some boarded up parts of the ferry terminal. You do get to see the parliament building lit up at night which was nice but for $350 a night plus tax, I wouldn't go back. Also, small pool, no hot tub and no washroom in the lobby.

We didn’t dine here as it was out of our price range. I loved our room, amazing view. I found it was a little further from the action and shops in Victoria but it was quiet so that’s the trade off I guess. Kids loved the pool, I would’ve liked a hot tub for myself and partner. Great service from the staff.

Liked that the hotel was in a quiet and walkable neighbourhood. Hotel was very clean and had good accessibility for both seniors and accommodated pets. Hotel Parking for vehicles larger than standard sized automobiles (pick-up truck) size was not available and we had to park in nearby neighborhood and pay additional fees.

Nothing like the photos, balcony was chipped and there was concrete every where, huge tripping hazard. Dirty sheets and we didn’t get the view we paid for. Hotel refused to give a refund for this horrible experience.

The room was really nice, the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The layout of the room was great. The only thing I would like to have had is a couple of bottles of water in the room. Other hotels I’ve stayed at provided water bottles which is really nice to have especially since there really wasn’t anywhere nearby that you could purchase them, or at least not at a reasonable price.

If your staying in the Laurel wing , rooms are outdated, close to other rooms and you can hear your neighbors...through the hallways, doors slamming shut, people using water in their bathrooms, and tvs on. For such a nice hotel, these rooms arent worth the price.

Overall my stay was good. I wish they would note the different wings (renovated or not) we booked laurel wing not knowing it was unrenovated/there was even a renovated option.Would highly recommend this disclose this. The unrenovated room was not up to par but not bad. We decided to go for the renovated room, which was much nicer but was slightly turned off because of the process. Staff was amazingly nice and friendly, overall very clean feeling and close to water. Not a far walk from city centre.

Our stay was great but the condition of the room was poor. I stayed in the Laurel wing and it was looking very dated and the blackout curtains where broken, I was able to temporarily rig them every night but I don't want to be doing that on vacation. The staff where very helpful and plesent and the pastries at the bakery are delicious!

When I booked the room , I didn’t realize my room is only partial ocean view, as on the website, it shows ocean view. But in reality , it is only limited partial view, which makes me little bit upset. Also room is old , not worth the price, needs to be updated. But convenient location to visit nearby.

The general policy seems to be to have you upgrade your room at an extra cost by allocating a “ view restricted room “ upon arrival which is unlikely to be acceptable. We were misinformed regarding complimentary products and again an attempt was made to charge extra , although the hotel itself is very nice we had virtually no internet as it constantly drops out even after a staff member attempted to solve the issue.

First time at the Inn at Laurel Point and I have to say that the word that springs to mind is disappointed. We stayed in the Laurel wing. The room was clean but decor was tired and needs updating. My biggest issue however was the nighttime noise. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the adjoining rooms. They also allow pets in rooms, and we were woken on three separate occasion by the sound of multiple barking dogs. My suggestion to the hotel would be to not to put non-pet owners in close proximity to those travelling with pets. Based on this experience, it is unlikely that we will stay there again.

Very nice modern hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Beds were quite comfortable with nice linens. The cleanliness was impecable. Beautiful views of the harbor and even a little park along the water to relax. Location is great for a walk along the seawall or quick walk to downtown food and shopping. Only minor thing was that the AC didn’t seem to coordinate with the thermostat and was a bit warm set at even 68! Would stay here again and definitely recommend!

Nice location, about 15 min walk from downtown 10 mins from Fisherman's Wharf. Balconies in Laurel Wing are small and therefore cannot be used to sit and and admire the view - that is the only negative I could mention.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. It was close to everything we wanted to do. And the staff were very friendly - at the front desk, in the hallways and in the restaurant. When we arrived, we were not totally pleased with our room location, and when we requested a room change, it was done right away and with a smile. I would highly recommend the Inn at Laurel Point.

Our stay was amazing. We didn’t love our room initially. It wasn’t the view we anticipated. I called downstairs and they couldn’t move us the first night, but they moved us the second night. They were very accommodating, thoughtful, kind. Moved our bags without us even asking. And they were in the second night was absolutely spectacular.

I have to say the staff at Laurel Point were the nicest and friendliest people - always greeting us with a smile and a hello and always going above and beyond to help - really loved our stay here - thank you

We had a lovely stay at the Inn at Laurel Point. The views were beautiful, room was spacious, staff were friendly, and easily walkable to the rest of downtown Victoria. Would definitely recommend!

Great location that is a short walk away from downtown and the ferry pier. Views of the harbor from the rooms were also quite nice. Would stay here again!

I was worried that with the weddings directly below, the nearby Symphony Splash event, and the busy harbour would mean that noise would be an issue. I am happy to report that it was very quiet, especially with the room fan on. The property has lovely walking paths and is a short walk from the heart of the action. We would have no hesitation staying here again. Watching the float planes from our room was unique feature.

Nice hotel. Good sized room. Only slight downsize was that booked a room with a partial view and on arrival was asked if we wanted to upgrade for a better view. We did this, but once at the room I would say the view was only really partial. So not sure was worth the extra charge. The Duo cafe in the hotel sells very nice pastries for breakfast and food in the Aura restaurant was good. Location good and about 15 min walk to main areas.

Didn’t like the stains on the rug in the Erickson Wing. Everything else was great. Menu at the Aura restaurant was very limited and I got sick after eating the Cobb salad. The breakfast menu was very good and so was the food.

Beautiful stay. Excellent accommodation at this independently owned hotel. Really nice atmosphere and stunning room with a view of the harbour. Aura restaurant is also a real asset at this hotel with delicious food.

Having to pay for valet parking is reasonable and convenient and everyone was most pleasant. The one downside is that they do not have anything for basic coffee or tea drinkers. Only cappuccino. Only place to buy is the coffee shop which is quite expensive with terrible hours. Most inconvenience as the restaurant in the hotel refused to offer coffee take out.

Loved our stay at Laurel Point! Nice rooms overlooking the harbor. Walkable to the Empress area of Victoria. Lots of options for restaurants. Ate at the Aura at the hotel and loved the food. Coffee shop was great as well. Would stay again.

Excellent service from front desk check in to housekeeping, maintenance and Brad in concierge. I would only recommend king size pillows for a king bed and perhaps cleaning/maintaining outside sitting area. Outside Needs clean window, rail, floor and new paint. Otherwise, a great choice for views, service and overall ambiance.

I was able to check in a little early with a very welcoming person that worked the front desk. He was very knowledgeable about the room and the amenities, letting me know about covered parking and offering information about Victoria if I needed it. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, with a smaller balcony but a great view of the harbor to be able to see the ferries come into the port and seaplanes taxing in and out of the harbor. The beds were very comfortable with wonderful bedding an enough pillows on each. Sheets were crisp and clean. There was adequate plug ins for charging for each bed. Loved the N espresso machine with good coffee pods and there was a small in room refrigerator that had a small freezer compartment - great for freezing ice pack wraps. Bathroom was very clean, well equipped and a comfortable size. The Inn is located in a convenient place, a short walk from the main town, so it was very quiet and peaceful.

This hotel was spectacular in its day, but the rooms are quite dated - the bathrooms are looking old and need more than just a showerhead replacement; the room had a small patio, but no chairs so it was hard to enjoy. The café downstairs was good but horribly overpriced, and the restaurant food was just average. Don't think I would eat at Aura again.

Lovely staff and view, but the room was a disappointment for the price. If you are deciding between rooms and wondering if the balcony is worth it, it's not. It was extremely tiny and they don't even provide chairs for you to enjoy it. I guess you're just supposed to stand there momentarily and go back inside? The room, though "just renovated" was bare bones. Like the absolute minimum. There aren't even any rugs or areas of carpeting to make it feel cozier or more homey. The mattress was oversized for the bedframe, so if we sat at the edge of the bed the entire thing would tip up into the air (and I only weigh 120 lbs). It wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't what I expected from reading reviews and seeing pictures. I wouldn't stay again unless I got a really good deal - it's just not worth it for the full price.
