Het mooie gebouw staat aan de rand van de binnenstad; je loopt zo aan de overkant van de straat het voetgangers gebied in waar de winkels; de terrassen en de vele restaurants zich bevinden. Ook op loopafstand van de musea en het mooie stadspark. onze kamer was uitstekend , schoon, dagelijkse reiniging en met een goed bed. In het hotel een mooie lobby , een fitness ruimte, een sauna en stoomcabine. TL;DR: rooms are dated but very comfortable, breakfast is incredible, location is great for exploring Weimar. Now the full version: check-in was easy and fast, staff was very friendly. We were amused that the hotel doesn’t use keycards but actual keys still. That in fact resonates with the room decor and overall aesthetic: lots of dark wood and carpet with gold details, giving it a dated feel. It isn’t, however, a bad room at all. Size was more than perfect for my husband and I, and the room was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, including slippers and bathrobes. Shower was on the okay side but the bathroom is definitely spacious. Be aware that at least in our case the double bed was actually two beds pushed together, but they were very comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast buffet was a hands-down winner, though, with ample variety and fresh ingredients. You can tell the hotel and the staff put a lot of effort into all the details, such as the lovely cards with various quotes that you could find in your room or on your breakfast table. We did use the parking and valet service for an additional fee and th parking is conveniently located behind the building. Finally, location-wise this hotel is fantastic. We got to explore all the sights and the Christmas market on foot. I would definitely recommend the stay.

Der Service im Hotel ist hervorragend. Die Sauberkeit absolut super. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und immer freundlich. Einige Einrichtungsgegenstände in den Zimmern und im Frühstücksbereich sind etwas "in die Jahre" gekommen. Das Frühstücksbuffett könnte etwas vielfältiger sein. Besonders positiv ist das Hotelrestaurant. Wenn man sich mal richtig verwöhnen lassen will, extra Klasse!

Die Lobby ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und super.Vom Hotel kann man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen. Es gibt auch direkt eine Bushaltestelle vor dem Hotel. Das Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen. Im Bad war an den Armaturen Rost und die Fugen der Fliesen waren teilweise schwarz. Der Föhn war total dreckig. In der Heizung im Schlafzimmer sammelt sich auch der Staub. Weimar würde ich wieder besuchen, aber in einem anderen Hotel übernachten.

Was the nicest hotel I ever stayed in Europe. And have travelled extensively over the last 25 years. The hotel room was large with great features like a mini kitchen, pants press, coffee maker, shower robe, slippers to name a few. Breakfast was amazing with multiple selections.Also the location was great, 20 min walk from the train station and right across the street from the center of town.

Service beim Frühstück überfordert, räumen Teller nicht mehr weg, man muss Personal hinterherlaufen, wenn man noch einen Kaffee möchte, männliches Personal läuft mit leerem Tablett vorbei, tut geschäftig, nimmt aber nichts mit und fragt auch nicht nach, ob noch etwas benötigt wird. Nachfüllung des Büffets klappte sehr gut. Frühstück vielfältig, vegane Optionen schlecht, vegetarisch mager. Klimaanlage kühlt nicht, Kitchenette mager bestückt, Kühlschrank riecht übel, Bad mini, Bild im im Internet täuscht. Ansonsten alles wunderbar.

Service beim Frühstück überfordert, räumen Teller nicht mehr weg, man muss Personal hinterherlaufen, wenn man noch einen Kaffee möchte, männliches Personal läuft mit leerem Tablett vorbei, tut geschäftig, nimmt aber nichts mit und fragt auch nicht nach, ob noch etwas benötigt wird. Nachfüllung des Büffets klappte sehr gut. Frühstück vielfältig, vegane Optionen schlecht, vegetarisch mager. Klimaanlage kühlt nicht, Kitchenette mager bestückt, Kühlschrank riecht übel, Bad mini, Bild im im Internet täuscht. Ansonsten alles wunderbar.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und für alle Ziele ein fantastischer Ausgangspunkt. Als Gast wird man sehr höflich und zuvorkommend empfangen. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Qualität der Betten ist als besonders positiv hervorzuheben. Wir hatten einen sehr entspannten und wunderbaren Kurzurlaub, vielen Dank dafür an das Personal!

TL;DR: rooms are dated but very comfortable, breakfast is incredible, location is great for exploring Weimar. Now the full version: check-in was easy and fast, staff was very friendly. We were amused that the hotel doesn’t use keycards but actual keys still. That in fact resonates with the room decor and overall aesthetic: lots of dark wood and carpet with gold details, giving it a dated feel. It isn’t, however, a bad room at all. Size was more than perfect for my husband and I, and the room was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, including slippers and bathrobes. Shower was on the okay side but the bathroom is definitely spacious. Be aware that at least in our case the double bed was actually two beds pushed together, but they were very comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast buffet was a hands-down winner, though, with ample variety and fresh ingredients. You can tell the hotel and the staff put a lot of effort into all the details, such as the lovely cards with various quotes that you could find in your room or on your breakfast table. We did use the parking and valet service for an additional fee and th parking is conveniently located behind the building. Finally, location-wise this hotel is fantastic. We got to explore all the sights and the Christmas market on foot. I would definitely recommend the stay.

Was the nicest hotel I ever stayed in Europe. And have travelled extensively over the last 25 years. The hotel room was large with great features like a mini kitchen, pants press, coffee maker, shower robe, slippers to name a few. Breakfast was amazing with multiple selections.Also the location was great, 20 min walk from the train station and right across the street from the center of town.

Excellent location, city centre and ither points of interest walkable. Very clean. Comfy beds. Spacious room. Very friendly barman. Easy parking at the back of the hotel or in parkhaus hauptpost (25 eur per day) as car can only stay for 2 hours parked on the street for (ca. 4 euros).

Great location for exploring Weimar’s key sights, and right by a bus hub for buses to the station or other places (such as Buchenwald). We arrived very early but they had our room ready and were happy for us to access it as soon as we arrived. Room was a good size and comfortable.

Fantastic hotel and very best position for doing all that Weimar has- all the buses pull up in the tree-lined street (Goethe Strasse), could walk from station but just 2 easy bus stops. Restaurant meals elegant and good, staff very helpful and friendly, room elegant and large, cooking facilities with utensils on request, we didn’t end up using but all delivered on request. Spotless and serviced daily. Access to town sights, bars, restaurants etc just minutes stroll and utterly picturesque. Town full of serious museums and historical houses/places with amply, expert, English commentaries and guides. A civic education but also beautiful park by the small river. Hotel is excellent choice.
