The views are amazing. A little noisy due to restaurant underneath. Clean but needs updating with air con and bed side sockets. Need a couple of chairs for balcony to experience the sunsets and views. The staff were great. Would use again.

A home from home, fantastic staff, great view over the lake and the restaurant below the rooms. Parking is a little expensive for 11 nights it was £108.00, if you can look beyond the parking costs this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in around Milton Keynes.

I stayed at Willen lodge for a week. My room was large with a lovely lake view, there were plenty of restaurants around for food and one was just downstairs. The rooms were clean and above everything else the staff went above and beyond for us. They were polite kind and made sure we had a perfect stay. The lodge is new so wifi was still getting set up and it was a little hot at night but apart from that a 10/10 stay.

I stayed at Willen lodge for a week. My room was large with a lovely lake view, there were plenty of restaurants around for food and one was just downstairs. The rooms were clean and above everything else the staff went above and beyond for us. They were polite kind and made sure we had a perfect stay. The lodge is new so wifi was still getting set up and it was a little hot at night but apart from that a 10/10 stay.

Bit tired and stairs needed a clean but once in the room it was ok. Pub downstairs was not serving meals when I went at around 16.00 due to a problem in the kitchen, these things happen and I walked to the Beefeater - not a great option as it happens ! Location great 👍

Me and my partner stayed here for the night we had an amazing night the view of the lake was really nice from the balcony and the place was really tidy so can’t complain about any of that but one thing I would say that wasn’t the best was the loud music playing from the restaurant below it isn’t too loud but definitely not to the point you can’t sleep but overall our stay was really good and we’re happy with it

A lovely view from the balcony over the lake. Comfy bed and good shower. The walk around the lake was beautiful and about a 30 minute walk in the centre of MK. We would definitely stay again. Just remember to check in first before paying for parking. £9 if you check in with the hotel first but £14 otherwise.

Lovely area great views. Restaurants nearby were fine. Room was clean although floor probably needed better vacuum. We moved rooms as receptionist warned showers had been repaired. They were not working very hot no cold coming through but opted to stay in room as view good.

I rarely give these but I’m afraid the Willen was poor on so many levels. When we got there we paid £15 per night per vehicle the Cleaning of the room was shocking with awful dust on walls headboard and lampshades. Housekeeping didn’t come in over out three night stay. My tv had clearly not been working on any channel for a while but luckily I packed a laptop. Internet was beyond shocking so had to tether to my phone to watch anything. It’s clear the hotel is struggling financially but these things are basic for travellers needs!

Rubbish under bed and under radiator. Desk was very dusty. Toothpaste still in the sink in the bathroom and only 1 big and 1 small towel when there were two Of us staying. Coffee marks on bedside unit. Single bed had rubbish underneath too.Booked a room that I presumed was looking out over the lake and ended up looking over a load of fencing with work being carried out early.

Had no hot water so they moved me to another room, in the next room the carpet was old and stained and needed replacing, the room was quite dirty especially the skirting boards and it needs decorating.

Not sure on this. Its a old premier inn hotel by the looks of it. Very dated and unloved communal areas hallways and reception could really do with a good clean and a lick of paint. Room itself had a clean bathroom and everything I needed. Needs some love to bring it back up to standards

We had a good 2 nighys stay in this Ex Premier Inn. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately everything elsei is the same as when Premier Inn sold it, & in need of a good update but we would consider staying again in the future.

Our 2nd stay at Willen Lodge. Comfy bed and clean bathroom. The shower was powerful and it was very quiet overnight. Previously we had a lake view room and this was the better option in my opinion. This time we had a room overlooking the back of the property which was not as pretty! A 25 minute walk to the theatre and restaurants.

Nice location, with a great view over the lake, staff were very friendly. Only down side was you can hear the other rooms doors banging shut which when busy feel would be really annoying, and the balcony really needs pigeons spikes or cleaning far more often as it was a bit grim. But overall lovely place

Firstly got there we booked a view and balcony of the lake they gave us a shabby old room a disabled room with a window onto the lake no tv working no hot water staff was rude to my partner when he spoke to them about this matter told us they didn’t have the room we wanted after lying they then gave us a room with balcony and view no hot water untill we spoke to staff in the morning not great

Stayed one night after a holiday to break the journey home from airport. The room was basic but the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a bath as well as shower in the room. The outstanding part of the stay was the amazing customer service. The manager stayed up late waiting for us to arrive. He arranged for us to ring from the airport so he could be at reception waiting for us. He and his colleague (in the morning) were extremely friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay again.

Very clean. Perfect place if you want to relax. Absolutely beautiful. The management and the staff. Went above and beyond. I could not rate this place more highly. Both lady’s on reception. Were amazing. A lot of hotels could take tips of these two. Fantastic.

A lovely view from the balcony over the lake. Comfy bed and good shower. The walk around the lake was beautiful and about a 30 minute walk in the centre of MK. We would definitely stay again. Just remember to check in first before paying for parking. £9 if you check in with the hotel first but £14 otherwise.

The views are amazing. A little noisy due to restaurant underneath. Clean but needs updating with air con and bed side sockets. Need a couple of chairs for balcony to experience the sunsets and views. The staff were great. Would use again.

I stayed at Willen lodge for a week. My room was large with a lovely lake view, there were plenty of restaurants around for food and one was just downstairs. The rooms were clean and above everything else the staff went above and beyond for us. They were polite kind and made sure we had a perfect stay. The lodge is new so wifi was still getting set up and it was a little hot at night but apart from that a 10/10 stay.

The only this that was a shame was having to walk 5/8 mins to another hotel to have breakfast but other than that I’d highly recommend the hotel for anyone as if I am going back there I will be trying to get a room here before anywhere else

Bit tired and stairs needed a clean but once in the room it was ok. Pub downstairs was not serving meals when I went at around 16.00 due to a problem in the kitchen, these things happen and I walked to the Beefeater - not a great option as it happens ! Location great 👍

Me and my partner stayed here for the night we had an amazing night the view of the lake was really nice from the balcony and the place was really tidy so can’t complain about any of that but one thing I would say that wasn’t the best was the loud music playing from the restaurant below it isn’t too loud but definitely not to the point you can’t sleep but overall our stay was really good and we’re happy with it

The room was clean the check in was appalling there was no one there when I arrived just a phone no and as we were going straight out we were told there would be staff on 24 hours that weekend by lady on telephone luckily someone came in and told us there would only be someone there till 9pm and after 10pm would have to call up and the jets should have been left in a box not helpful at all realy did not know who to believe also the toilet did not flush you had to keep going back and trying to flush it over and over and while on the toilet there was heat coming up from the toilet all very odd we told the reception and they did not say anything concerned just said ok

We turned up to a dilapidated, run down, unsafe, dirty place. We tried to cancel because it would not be safe for women to stay. I am in the process of trying to get a refund. No staff, 24 hour live in security in an abandoned restaurant, everywhere around willen lake closed. Under no circumstances would my husband allow me to stay. It was disgusting. Went to stay at Novotel 100/100!

This is a basic hotel with great views and lots to do nearby. It’s good value for the money. I recommend booking a lake view with a balcony. Only downside was no air conditioning, not great during a heatwave.

Property is in need of an upgrade, carpets are worn, paint coming off the doors, the place is ok to stay in but 100% needs an upgrade, no plug sockets next to the beds, something was on the wall in the bathroom and ripped off and replaced but the wall was never repainted or fixed, looks tired, bed is is very high to get on, also having to pay for parking to stay there adds a lot to the cost of the room should be included in the price
