stayAPT Suites North Little Rock

I had to asked for a new room after my party was booked in a room with visual mold around the a/c vent and pungent smell of mold. Next room did show signs of mold, however the linen wasn’t freshly washed and smelled stale. The elevator stainless steel walls was unclean and floor no mopped. I love the Apt concept but this location needs managerial review.

Inexpensive hotel. Kitchen is great to save money. Beds are poor quality. No box spring. Previous residence in room broke door nob, Loosened arm to desk chair and wore out springs under one of mattress so one bed was unusable. Current staff fixed door and chair. Great job by them. Need more staff to really go through the rooms when guests check out with eye toward items that wear out.

After driving all day from Texas, We checked in and we were told by the desk person that no one would be available after 9pm, and if there was an emergency to call a number. We left to eat and arrived back around 7 or 8pm. Before getting on the elevator to go up a flight to our room. The room just under us had their door ajar and loud mariachi music playing. I should have been worried but figured it would stop at 9 for quiet time. It did not and it continued louder and was just under our room. Also, bed was extremely uncomfortable and worn out. But we could have dealt with that. We tried to use a small speaker to drown out music. We decided to leave and go to another hotel for the night. I did not call the emergency number due to it not being an emergency but a problem. I figured that the hotel would refund my stay the next day. They would not and the hotel staff person told Hotels.com that there was no loud music. How would he know that???! He was not working? He also said that there was an emergency number to call and why didn’t we call it? I assume that was to the police and this was not an emergency. Any decent hotel would have gladly refunded my stay. I will no longer book through Hotels.com and I will never stay at the Stay Apt Suites properties, again. I will be calling my CC company to dispute this charge.

We arrived after 10:30pm and it was easy to check in with the after hours checkin.

Had a great stay at stayAPT Suites! The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure everything was comfortable and taken care of. Excellent customer service makes all the difference. I’d definitely stay here again!
