Absolutely loved this hotel! My husband and I did a quick getaway weekend, 2 nights in Salem, 2 in Boston. From the second we walked up to the hotel until the moment we left, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was luxurious, cozy and full of amenities, fitness center excellent and service impeccable. Perfect location for exploring the city. Our only regret was not being able to spend more time with Cori :) Can't wait to come back.

Valet parking rate of $72/night was excessive. Other than that, the room was lovely and comfortable for our family of 5, staff was responsive and friendly. Gym is well equipped with nice views. Very convenient to get to Logan airport from this hotel.

Lovely building, very well situated in a quiet but very convenient part of Boston, close to the Common, some of the main (high end) shops, and two subway/trolley stops. Refurbishment of Copley Square should be finished soon, at which point, a view of the square may well be worth it. The Gold Lounge was very good - breakfast and hors d'oeuvres were delicious and worth the extra spend. I am less convinced by the urban experience fee, which felt like a hidden charge and a facility on which I wasn't given a choice.

Absolutely rhe best service and amenities , however the fire alarm went off 3 different times while everyone was sleeping . Pretty much lost a night of sleep because of thos situation , but what do you do ?

This is an old hotel with a stunning interior. Check in was easy. Our room was available upon our arrival and we were given a large king room. The bar area was hopping. Seems like it is the 'go to' place for the locals. Only complaint is that they do not have free Wifi. Silly; can't remember the last time I went to a hotel and was to be charged to get on the Wifi.

The hotel is iconic and everyone at desk and check-in was amazing with so many holiday events happening. Only 3 elevators worked and rooms were not ready upon arrival for some in group. Keys lost their ability to work daily, but those are not faults of the people. The restaurant was slow, average and overpriced. The service staff did not check on drinks or communicate food times well. It was not because of overcrowding nor understaffing.

Overall I had a lovely stay at the Fairmont this summer! The bed was very comfortable and the room was impeccably clean. The only drawback was that I have medication that I need to keep refrigerated however there wasn’t mini fridge in the room. I had to keep the ice bucket filled a couple of times a day to keep it cold enough. Not terrible, just annoying and the sign in the room said the fridge was away for “maintenance” so I assume it’ll be replaced for future guests. Can’t beat the location though, walkable area to shops, restaurants, parks and plenty of sightseeing and the staff is always wonderful.

This is a very tired hotel. We like old hotels but at this price point it should be in better shape. Doors don't close because of years of paint build up. Ceiling was chipping. Brass is tarnished. Hallways are dusty. Restaurant had food on the floor when we went to brunch. Water pressure was weak and AC wasn't strong. Fairmont needs to drop this one from their collection or close it down and do a complete, top-to-bottom restoration. the old place deserves one.

Property was in a great location, but the rooms were extremely dirty. The water pressure was horrific. I went down to the restaurant and the furniture was ripped and a not good shape…. it’s obvious that the owners have not spent the money and keeping the property up. I remember when they did the renovation 20 years ago was absolutely spectacular now it’s a three star hotel… with a great location

The hotel lobby and the details of the architecture are fantastic. However, I felt that the wet areas of the room were not clean enough. The toilet regurgitates slightly after flashing, and I found a stain in the sink and a shower curtain.

We celebrated our anniversary by visiting Boston and, as usual, chose a Fairmont hotel for our stay. The location was fantastic, and we loved the comfortable bed! Room service exceeded our expectations both times, making our experience even better. However, we did encounter some issues with the bathroom—the water pressure could be improved, and the tub faucet seemed a bit inconsistent. Overall, we had a great time but will chose a different hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. However we booked a king studio suite which we expected to be one large L shaped room. It was actually 2 small rooms with a bathroom in between. This was very disappointing.

Exceptionally attentive and accommodating staff. A well kept older historic hotel, which we didn’t mind. The doors and walls did VERY little to block noise, so be prepared with earplugs or a sound machine. You will hear everything!

We chose this hotel primarily for its promised security, but our stay turned out to be quite traumatic. One night, we experienced a horrifying situation when someone knocked forcefully on our door and attempted to push their way in. The only thing that prevented them from entering our room was the safety lock we had engaged. To make matters worse, our attempts to reach the lobby for assistance went unanswered, leaving us feeling vulnerable and scared. Later, we learned that the lobby staff had mistakenly given our room number to another guest, granting them access to our room without authorization, even though we had been staying there for two days. Overall, we are extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, and we cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience. Security should always be a priority, and unfortunately, it felt neglected during our stay.

Checked in at 10 PM with my 9 month old baby. Room was not yet ready….. we had requested a crib at reservation. Reminded the front desk at check in we needed a crib for our baby . Said yes, they saw it noted on our reservation. When room was finally ready there was no crib. Called to the desk and they said they would send one up. Never happened. This caused a danger to our infant child!!!!! Next day had to talk to a manager to get a crib. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Our stay at the Fairmont Copley was *almost* perfect! Everyone was kind and helpful. The only issue we had: When we got to our room, it was very warm. We couldn't seem to get the a/c going to cool off. We called down and they said the heaters were on, so we probably weren't going to get it much cooler. They could bring us up a couple fans and we could open a window. We told them that was great and we would like 2 fans. We opened the window, but the fans never arrived. The open window cooled the room off enough and it ended up not being a big deal, but they never brought us the fans they said they would bring. Like I said, that was really our only issue, which wasn't a big deal. Other than that, we had a great stay!

I had a package sent to the hotel n2 weeks earlier that was to be available on my arrival. We had sent several E mails and phone the hotel, confirming that the package would be securely kept . On arrival, I was first told (1) the package was not there - then (2) it had been given to someone else. I phoned a family member (who had shipped it and confirmed she had spoken to directly to security about package) she was very upset. (3) After finally locating the package 30 minutes later, I was told I could pick it up at the front desk of HAVE IT DELIVERED BY A BELLMAN TO MY ROOM FOR $5 !! I spoke with the manager and told her I could possible excuse the lost package ...but charging ME to deliver it to my room (with no apology) was inexcusable. Sunday morning (a.m.) on the 6th floor featured a protracted F bomb laced shouting match through the door of an adjacent guest room at almost 2 a.m. Where was security? Very poor customer service I will NOT be returning and suggest you not book there. There are far better places to stay in Boston.

We recently stayed at the Fairmont in Boston and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with classic charm and elegant surroundings. One of its best features is the location — it’s right in the heart of the city, with easy access to just about everything you'd want to see or do in Boston. When we arrived, there was a bit of an issue locating our reservation in the system, which was frustrating at first, but thankfully the staff resolved it relatively quickly. Speaking of the staff — everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and really made us feel looked after throughout our stay. That said, our room was facing the street, and unfortunately, the noise from early morning traffic (especially trucks) did disturb our sleep a bit. If you're a light sleeper, it might be worth requesting a room away from the street. We dined at the hotel restaurant — the food was good, though we weren't overly thrilled. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall. Despite a couple of drawbacks, we would recommend the Fairmont for its charm, service, and location. That said, due to the noise and a few minor hiccups, we couldn’t quite give it a full 4 stars.

Lovely building, very well situated in a quiet but very convenient part of Boston, close to the Common, some of the main (high end) shops, and two subway/trolley stops. Refurbishment of Copley Square should be finished soon, at which point, a view of the square may well be worth it. The Gold Lounge was very good - breakfast and hors d'oeuvres were delicious and worth the extra spend. I am less convinced by the urban experience fee, which felt like a hidden charge and a facility on which I wasn't given a choice.

The room was very good. The amenities on the gold level were also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of breakfast options including fresh fruit, croissants, breads, fish, omelettes, bacon, sausage, and cereals. I would definitely return to this Fairmont.

Everything, from the moment we were pulled up and were greeted at the valet, to checking in, up through checkout, was a pleasure. Everyone we encountered or interacted with was polite, extremely helpful, friendly and truly went the extra mile... Especially Cornelius! The staff at the Fairmount Copley clearly take pride in their job and it shows! It was one of the best experiences i've had in a hotel 30+ years. Staying at the gold level , the food and drinks were amazing. The thoughtfulness of everybody working behind the scenes to ensure delicious food and everything being well stocked was very much appreciated. It was so amazing. I am looking into other Fairmont properties to experience the gold level. Thank you everyone for all your hard work to keep a place as large as that running smoothly.

I stayed 3 nights in June at the Fairmont Copley Plaza and loved every minute of it!!! - lobby reception, so friendly and when we checked in early the room was ready for us! - we enjoyed the brunch and weekday breakfasts and the menu is spectacular! Top notch menu with so many delicious options, every guest that received their meals were swooning! The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely ambience in the morning which shifts to a more upbeat environment for dinner. We loved the food so much we ate dinner there twice out of three meals!! Everything was fantastic!! Get the bread! Get the truffle fries, quite possibly the best I've ever eaten!!! Burgers etc all of it was amazing! I've had my fair share of a salad with +chicken, this was no "call it in" salad. The chicken was rotisserie crispy and juicy, the best. - our room was perfect, huge for a classic room, lots of space to iron and mill about. Temperature was easily adjusted and we could not hear anything going on above, below or outside, great night sleep on comfy mattresses and crisp bedding! - front desk were incredible! Danielle helped us finalize our bill and went above and beyond with Peter the managers help. Everyone listened, and truly strived to make my stay the best it could be. - finally the neighbourhood! WOW!! A block away from the Boston Public Library plus lots of shopping! Think Anine Bing, Veronica Beard, H&M, Anthro, Nordstrom Rack. And a 30 min walk to the action, modern pastry etc!!

We have eaten at the Oak Room many times - it’s our restaurant of choice when we head to Boston (Anthony & Omar top notch bartenders) We have never stayed in the beautiful hotel- we are usually going for a more modern feel- however …. The hotel was amazing and made us feel so special. Our room was gigantic and the bed Devine. The linens and towels luxurious. It’s our new favorite 💕 and we didn’t have to leave to have an amazing dinner & drinks!

Valet parking rate of $72/night was excessive. Other than that, the room was lovely and comfortable for our family of 5, staff was responsive and friendly. Gym is well equipped with nice views. Very convenient to get to Logan airport from this hotel.

The hotel is iconic and everyone at desk and check-in was amazing with so many holiday events happening. Only 3 elevators worked and rooms were not ready upon arrival for some in group. Keys lost their ability to work daily, but those are not faults of the people. The restaurant was slow, average and overpriced. The service staff did not check on drinks or communicate food times well. It was not because of overcrowding nor understaffing.

Loved the people at the hotel! They made us feel very welcome and special. They remembered my feather allergy and the room was feather free. The only disappointment was the restaurants clam chowder. It was not good and no clams in it at all. The table next to us needed to be bused so we had to look at scraps right beside us while we ate. It took away from the beauty of the restaurant and our lunch. The night manager, a young man from France was awesome, the concierge was so friendly, the porter that took our bags was the sweetest. All around a great place to stay. Oh and Copley was a great addition to this grand hotels atmosphere.

The hotel is beautiful and immaculate, and in a terrific location. My room was spacious and electrical outlets were plentiful. This was a pleasant surprise for me as I often have to look high and low to find just one or two in many hotel rooms. Staff interactions were delightful - they were friendly, courteous, helpful and sincerely cared about meeting and anticipating my needs to make my stay the best possible. I will be back and highly recommend this hotel.

Great location. Ideal for trolley city tour.Spacious room: asked for more nespresso capsules- they were in our room within minutes. Staff could not be more welcoming. We ate in the restaurant: great service & quality food with relaxed ambiance: we were over from the uk and had car rental : we used valet 75usd per day: whilst it seemed expensive, this was standard for Boston and took stress away. Remember to add on resort fees! Whilst chairs & couches are in the reception area, quieter areas to go to with a coffee would have been nice. However nice stay. Ideal for a city break.
