Beechwood Hotel

This was a last minute stay and was pleasant to see it was dog friendly. Usually the pet fee is around $25. I got hit with a $92 bill 3 days after I left for a night stay for my dog. An $80 pet fee plus tax!!!! Expedia didn’t even apply it to my initial bill which should have been noted somewhere otherwise I would have stayed here. So a $174 room for a night turned into $350 for a night! RIDICULOUS!

Loved the unique and up-to-date rooms. Wish the restaurant and bar were opened later on the weekends though. All else was great! Will be back!

Probably the best Worcester has to offer. Very "corporate", not a lot of charm. Breakfast was so-so. Restaurant wasnot open for other meals while we were there. Rooms are very nice and spacious.

The pros for me was I thought it was a great property. Beautifully decorated rooms and propert, comfortable bed, great staff. It would be perfect except for a few cons. The pillows were very hard (I like a soft pillow) and the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. I love to get room service when I travel or have a place to eat when I get back to the hotel after work and was very disappointed that this was not an option. Luckily, there were many late night dining options within driving distance but optimally i would have preferred to dine in. Overall the pros outwieghed the cons and once the restaurant reopens for all meals i would give this property a 5 star rating. One recommendation would be for the hotel offer soft pillows upon request as some other hotels do and it would be perfect.

Elevator was out. The carpet was COVERED in stains. Bar was closed. Sheets were weirdly itchy. Not worth cost

Room was nice. Food at restaurant was very good, both dinner and breakfast. Restaurant was pretty barren on a Friday night but weather was also atrocious the night I stayed. Fitness room is tolerable for a hotel gym but doesn’t have many things. A few aerobic machines and a bench with some dumbbells. Staff was very nice.

Very nice boutique hotel with a quaint relaxing courtyard. Quiet, clean, safe, attractive and what an easy check-in process.

They have a good restaurant on site but it's only open for breakfast. It would be nice if they opened the restaurant evening instead going out into Worcester for dinner.

Greeted at desk with a smile and a warm welcome. Room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom had all amenities one would need. Location is central yet grounds are beautiful with lush greenery and trees. Plenty of parking is available and adjacent restaurant is excellent . Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Only negative is that even room coffee and water bottles are chargeable items.

The property looked nice when I first entered, but my room was not very clean and the carpet was coming up by the wall. Worst thing was when i pulled down the covers to get into bed, it was immediately obvious that the bottom sheet had not been changed! So gross! There were multiple men’s hair all over the very wrinkled sheets. I had to sleep on top of the covers because I was so grossed out. Also, the TV in the room did work. I tried calling the front desk twice and both times there was no answer. Additionally, the location is close to a hospital so there was a regular sound of sirens and ambulances throughout the night.

Room was dusty, mattress needs replacing, restaurant was very expensive for breakfast, $6.00 for a cup of coffee.

Restaurant was empty but took over an hour to bring our dinner out. There were hairs all over the bathroom (on the floor, on the toilet, the soap), really gross to find. Hotel itself was quiet with an interesting layout, easy parking and easy check-in

My room was not cleaned well and I found hair in the bed, shower and the floors were not vacuumed. Requested a room change that was much cleaner but the floor still did not seem cleaned well.

I was staying solo. The room was perfect,exceptionally clean and spotless. The staff was very friendly. It is a 5/5

Clean room

Finding a dog friendly hotel was welcome (even with the frees). What I didn’t expect is the urine smell. I finally found the source after wiping down the bathroom, it was in the closet. It was a small dog…the spots were low. Now the room smells better than when we got here.

The hotel was interesting but the cleanliness was really bad. Dirty towel in the room. I don't think they dust at all. Rugs are stained, worn and ruffled int he halls (needs to be streched) Found 2 small shards of broken glass in the bathroom, thankfully I didn't step on them. Staff was friendly. Restaurant not open for dinner but it was slow so I understand.

We love staying at the Beechwood ~ very accommodating and great service. Our room (206) was a little run down and dated. The bathroom smelled a little moldy. Time to update!

Our stay was average at best. We had been on the road sometime, so we were tired and ready to relax. There was no wifi, so it took a while to get into our room. The room was nice, but the AC didnt not work. We let the front desk know when we left for dinner, so it could be cool when we got back. We returned and nothig had been done. Said it couldnt be repaired until after we were leaving. We already had our things unpacked and settled or we would hv changed rooms. We slept with the windows open. Btw there is a hospital close by, and ambulances run all night. There is construction going on close by, as well.

The building was very unique. The stay was perfectly okay, everything was clean. Just very noisy outside. Lots of ambulances.

Hotel itself is beautiful! The room was very nice and spacious. Our air conditioner was turned all the way down and was not working so it was quite hot being on the 5th floor we had to open the windows. Keep in mind that this is in the city so you hear cars and ambulances going by all night you are next to a hospital so didn't get much sleep. The room has a mini fridge but no microwave so amenities are limited. You can get food at their restaurant downstairs but they also lack in quick grab n go like a retail area to choose from they had water and one bag of chips. Over all nice hotel just think some of their amenities need to be upgraded.

The rooms are lovely with an upscale feel, including a coffee bar area with real mugs and glasses, integrated reading lights for each bed, classic design, crown moulding, marble-look bath tile, and more. Beds and linens were comfortable and the room was spacious. The on-site restaurant was very nice and the customer service was top notch.

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It felt very high end for the price. The little touches were so nice, from the coffee station to the reading lights on the walls to the robe in the bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

I stay at the Beechwood regularly, and will continue to do so. But I do want to make a call to improve the wifi. I often settle for using my cell service because the wifi glitches so often.

Check in was easy. Room was very nice. Internet does not work at all so people need to be prepared. Coffee maker and fridge in room

Everything was okay except that the switch to turn off the light in our hallway didn't work. We found it difficult to sleep well with so much light streaming across the room.

Television did not work during my stay and no one came in to sort it out despite two requests

Everything about our stay was perfect. The only issue was alow Wi-Fi service.

Exceptional. Absolutely love staying here. An even better stay than my last, each time I am here. Great, hardworking staff. Clean, well maintained facility! And the revamped restaurant (since my last stay): whiskey glazed salmon- chef’s kiss! Family owned, too!

The staff at the Beechwood is top notch, to a person. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is small and welcoming. First class.

Appliances with outdated so the fan was not working. The tv was did not have the correct remote control. I requested an early check in around 20 - 30 after booking time thur the app contacted the hotel was told 1pm was the earliest I offered to switch to a upgraded room that was ready and was denied front desk rep was unwelcoming. Arrived at hotel around 10:22 tried to get worker to reason with my situation which was had car trouble and had let it at dealership for repairs and no where to go in the area and that I wanted to get out of the clothes I had on covered with dirt and brake fluid, I felt if I was being looked down on and judged by my appearance and was treated like a person who lived in the street who was beneath her, an to remove my for lobby and went to backyard Lounge area and cried from how disgusting I felt for the interaction.topping the that the fire alarm was perfectly pressed right outside of my room door no one was staying in room beside my room house keeper was only ones in the room at that time rooms door was paired with two per arch designed each pair an I small with fire alarm about a 1” 3/8 in length and was about half inch wide , in the hallway there was four standard size fire alarms had just gotten underdressed to hop in shower when it was pressed and to exit the building in shower robe, I will not ever stay at another beechwood hotel, only good interaction was the male employee who brought me the room service guy had a good conversation

For the cost of the stay they nickled and dimed you for everything. A coffee maker was available in the room but you had to pay for the coffee and then pay for the water to make the coffee. On arrival wo noted only one robe in the room. Attempted to call the desk but the phone didn't work. After leaving the room for breakfast our key wouldn't let us back in the room (back to the desk again). The next morning the TV didn't work so called the desk. They stated someone would be right up. No! Upon calling again it was stated we were placed on the list but had several repairs that needed to be made. Out for the day and upon return the room had not been cleaned/serviced. Again, called the desk which simply stated they were understaffed and couldn't get to our room. Obviously this was our first and last stay with the Beechwood Hotel.

Staff was excellent. Friendly, professional and could not be better. Great stay. Top notch. Will stay again next time.

One dining room server had a poor attitude, but all the rest of the staff were excellent with friendly, efficient service. Server Alex and front desk were especially helpful to one person in our party of three who is blind. Property and landscaping in excellent condition.

Close, easy parking. Front desk attendees were pleasant & efficient. The staff at the restaurant bar/restaurant left something to be desired. The bar staff was not attentive at all & almost seemed annoyed, even when the bar was empty. Otherwise, the place was clean & well kept.

Very helpful staff! I would stay there again anytime!

The hotel is a good choice, but nothing special. We could not walk to any restaurants and wished we could have.

Beautiful hotel with super comfortable beds and luxury accomodations. It's location is in the middle of a medical school and major hospital.

Everything was very smooth from check in to check out. It was easy to find, close to many restaurants and things to do and there was ample parking. It was a stress free stay.

The property is conveniently and safely located off of route 9 and near Umass memorial hospital. The staff were professional, helpful and very friendly. The check-in was very pleasant and fast. The elevator requires a room key to be operated which is very safe but easily operated. My accommodations were practical and well maintained as well as being beautifully designed. I had one of the most restful nights that I’ve had in a very long time! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I honestly didn’t want to leave in the morning.

Nice quick stay. Not much to do in the area but close enough to downtown center. Bed was comfy, bathroom was small, room service was expensive but gave two free waters. Overall a good stay.

The check in and out process was smooth, room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were efficient and personable. The breakfast was delicious! Had the Sonoma breakfast, with a little bit of everything to try. The Southern style grits were especially tasty! Would return again

Beautiful property and well appointed room. Luxurious linens and very comfortable bed. We ate at the onsite restaurant for breakfast and it was good and reasonably priced.

It was a clean and pleasant place to stay. The junior suite was spacious. Unfortunately, we tried breakfast at the adjoining Sonoma and after waiting half an hour for a waitress to come over, we walked out. I saw another table do the same.

Arrived for a one night stay while traveling, told bar would be open till midnight, got settled, came down for a drink at 10:15 and found multiple staff sitting at tables a was told they already called last call and wouldn't serve us, only real complaint. Nice hotel otherwise.

Restaraunt food and service were wonderful.

The hotel was very nice and clean, great beds and pillows, Timmy, our waiter for breakfast was so great!! Thank You!!
