Gray Wolf Inn & Suites

They offer a TON of immenities: underground parking, nightly smores & free laundry. Beware of the laundry. While the washer was ok, the dryer took 2 plus hours to dry. My husband ended up coming to look when I told him it was always still damp. He pulled HANDFULS of lint from down in the machine. The room was a great size and the hotel is well maintained.

Perfect location at affordable pricing. Had all the amenities I needed for the trip to Yellowstone. GREAT breakfast! Very full breakfast bar! And close to many shops and food in west yellowstone. They also had complimentary s’more kits to heat over the fire pit.

The hotel was close to restaurants and shopping with easy access to Yellowstone National Park. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. The free onsite breakfast and fire pit were added bonuses. The only issue was the fact the main elevator stopped working.

Parking was almost imposible. Tour buses and not enought spots for the guest, especially if you arrive at 6:00 pm.

The continental breakfast was amazing with plenty of options and the free bikes was a nice surprise. The s’more kits were a nice touch as well

There seemed to be significant construction happening at the hotel, including full closure of their pool and hot tub. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was for their pool, so this was a setback. However, they did offer us the ability to drive 1 mile to their sister hotel and utilize their facilities instead. That was helpful! But the construction was loud, and took up a good portion of their parking. None of this was mentioned until we were checking in/drove up and saw it. The room was pretty standard, but not much updated. The breakfast had very little to choose from and nothing seemed fresh, including their coffee, both mornings we attempted it. The staff was nice and polite, although the individual checking us in seemed to have great difficulty with all of the steps he needed to do.. but we did not see him the rest of the stay. They offered a really fun bag of items to make s'mores out by their firepit, which was a nice treat at the end of the day. We definitely would stay again, and give them an opportunity to have higher star ratings!

Needed an extra night stay and they were able to accomodate us. Friendly staff. Free use of laundromat was great. Great location and easy access to Yellowstone NP

Gray Wolf in Yellowstone was an excellent place to stay! The whole facility was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was offered every morning and refreshments throughout the day. The swimming pool and hot tub area was very clean. The room was large and the kitchen was well stocked. I think our favorite part was the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon and the smores in the evening.

Staff very accommodating and friendly. Underground heated parking is a Godsend during cold West Yellowstone winter.

This was our second time staying in this hotel. Both times we found it to be clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. We look forward to a 3rd stay here!

Friendly staff, convenient location, clean room

The first room we were assigned had mold and mildew on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel staff accommodated us by moving us to the only other room available. It was dirty throughout. Mildew and hair on the bath mat, dust and dirt buildup in window seal, frozen refrigerator, and leftover coffee in the coffee maker drip pan. After requesting items to be fixed by the front desk, I got tired of asking iand I went to the store to buy cleaning solutions, as we were staying for 3 nights. The cleanliness of the rooms and back entry area is poor management.

Clean, spacious, and comfortable. One of the few places on our trip that has recycling readily available and easy to find.

The place was just ok, food was horrible and the bathroom in our room was moldy. I asked to have it cleaned a couple times and it never was completely dealt with. Very corporate feel, I don’t plan on staying here again.

Disappointed in our stay. The shower curtain liner was soured and moldy. That's a basic area of cleanliness so the rest of the room was to that standard. I couldn't wait to check out!! We were exhausted otherwise we would have went elsewhere.

I stayed at Gray Wolf Inn & Suites in West Yellowstone. Our room was on the second floor. Upon getting off the elevator, the chlorine smell in the hallway was overwhelming, likely from maintenance staff cleaning rooms nearby. When we entered our room, the chlorine odor was so strong that we had to open the window, which was difficult to slide and revealed a window screen covered in dust and dirt that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. After taking a shower, I discovered the in-room hairdryer wasn’t working. I tried calling the front desk, but the room phone was also not functioning. I walked down to the front desk to ask for a replacement hairdryer, but was told they didn’t have any extras available. After informing the front desk about the broken in-room phone, a maintenance staff member very promptly came to our door. However, by then we were tired and ready to rest, so I told him there was no need to fix it anymore. Noise was another issue — we could clearly hear footsteps from the floor above, as well as people walking by our room, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. This was a last-minute booking, and I’m glad it was only for one night. Other than its convenient location, I wouldn’t return to this hotel. Next time, I’d rather stay somewhere inside the park — at Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins, we paid $100 less for one of the cabins and had a much better experience or for $20 more we stayed in the room at Canyon Lodge.

Bathroom was absolutely filthy. Hairdryer coming off the wall. Faucet in sink leaked. Light over sink kept flashing. Hair behind the door on floor by tub. No maid service. View of parking lot.

Our room was super clean. Everything was neat and tidy when we arrived. Plenty of towels, coffee, creamer, etc. Even the remote was in a little clean bag with sanitizer packets near by.

Pro: great location short walk to the grizzly and wolf discovery center, shopping and restaurants. An other short drive to Yellow Stone. Cons: Side rooms were loud, upstairs was even louder. Stomping, loud conversations. I’m good at ignoring the noise in other stays, but this was way too much. Room could use a little more cleaning. Couch was very very solid. Carpet was also soiled. Maybe upgrade to flooring would make the room feel more clean.

The hotel is soooo close to Yellowstone. We had the one bedroom family suite. It consisted of bedroom with door to allow sleep when needed and early risers could be up in the living room. Great kitchen for meals or left overs.

Nice hotel close to the park entrance. The room was spacious and comfortable beds. The room had an extra sink outside the bathroom which makes it easier for getting ready to head out. The hotel does have some underground parking which is nice in the winter. Strandard breakfast items in the morning. We have stayed here twice.

Very noisy, 4 days of no sleep, room above us, sounded like furniture be moved all around running across the floor all night, could not get any rest, did tell a lady at the desk, but nothing was stopped. Pillows sucked, was clean and friendly.

One word - tired. Refresh loooong overdue. The primary elevator moves erratically and needs to be reminded that it has arrived at a given floor. Creaking floors and tissue paper walls. Give this one a hard pass.

This was a pretty standard hotel. Nothing too fancy and a bit dated. The man at the front desk had a bit of an attitude, may just have been stressed. When I asked if they had an Waterbottles on our first night he told me “No. We dont charge an amenities fee for a reason. Try your room sink?” in a rather sassy tone. They did have dog waste stations but all of the bag dispensers were empty. Our room cards stopped working multiple times. Again, nothing too horrible and a convenient place for a quick stop, but nothing to write home about.

This property is good value for money, especially for families. The rooms are large. It is right at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The only problem we had was the noise. The walls are a bit thin and there are beeping and mechanical noises that disrupt regularly.

Our room has a full kitchen, spacious and clean and friendly staff. Close to west entrance. Few minutes drive to grand prismatic and old faithful geyser.

We liked the spacious rooms. We had a 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. It was large and quiet. My husband was able to watch tv in the living room while I slept.

Perfect hotel to stay for a visit to Yellowstone! We loved the suite for extra space.

It was in a good part of town not noisy the only problem I had was the staff at the check-in check out desk were very rude and nonchalant didn't have a personality if you paid for one both people were not very friendly

Absolutely great stay. Everything we needed. Wonderful staff.

I chose the hotel because of solid reviews and reasonable prices. The room was clean and totally comfortable. Our room was a double on the 2nd floor and was very quiet. The hotel breakfast was more than adequate and plentiful. At the end of our stay, I forgot a ring and some clothes. When I realized it, we were a days drive away. I called the hotel and described my mistake. The desk clerk took my number and called me back to tell me they’d found both my ring and the clothes. They mailed them to me without even a question of cost. I can’t describe my relief at the end of my vacation to receive my things. Thanks to the staff at Gray Wolf Inn.

Spent 30 minutes waiting to get into our room due to the keys not working and customer service not believing us. Then spent 20 minutes waiting to get into the pool because the keys did not work. Witnessed the front office staff arguing eachother

You can’t get any closer to the west entrance of Yellowstone Park when you stay here. The facility and our room was very clean, comfortable, and roomy. We found the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Tania who very professionally handled a VERY difficult temporary situation involving a computer system glitch. We found the breakfast offerings to be good with plenty of options with tasty coffee. The hot prepared breakfast offerings of eggs, pigs in a blanket, and sausage were just okay however. All of the West Yellowstone downtown area is an easy walk away.

When we arrived at the Gray Wolf Inn, we were informed that they did not have room for us. They said that the previous guests caused damage to the room. They didn't try and save a comparable room for us, they just gave what they had away to people who arrived earlier than we did. So, they had us stay at another property all together that they owned called the Yellowstone Park Lodge. I had specifically requested a quiet room, not near the elevator or ice machine. They room they gave us was right across the elevator and above a common seating area outside a gas fireplace where guests congregate. They had no other choices as all the other rooms were booked. This was a major inconvenience as after 2 flights and a 2 hour drive, my choice was starting from scratch to find a hotel or take this room.

The location was great since it was very close to Yellowstone NP. However, the hotel management was not great, as it was either understaffed, or poorly trained. The front desk seldom had anyone in attendance, day or evening. The dining area was not stocked with requisite plates, bowls, etc. The milk dispenser was always barely able fill a glass. It seemed as though service was reactive instead of being proactive, and anticipating what would be needed before dining began.

Great location for visiting Yellowstone. Nice rooms and helpful staff. We're Tesla owners and it was great to have a Tesla super charging location across the street as well as in the parking garage.

Convenient location adjacent to West entrance of Yellowstone Park.

The West Yellowstone entrance is 6.5 mils away. I appreciated the bonfire and Make your own smores package. Gray Wolf Inn is across from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center and within walking distance of lots of shopping and restaurants.

All good except the Breakfast. The basics were there but the staff can not keep up with the demand for the food and drink. There was a constant shortage of coffee etc., . The egg burrito was great except why was there pepper in it ? People were taking it but immediately on tasting were putting it in the waste, what a pity if no pepper it would have been great.

A great place to stay for Yellowstone. My kids loved it! The pool was clean and nice, breakfast was excellent. They even had S’Mores kits and a fire pit to make them over. A wonderful hotel.

Breakfast needs improvement. Out of most items and garbage cans overflowing. Stayed in this hotel in 2021 and it has gone downhill.

I was not pleased about the non cleaning of the rooms. It was upon request. We were there for four days. One day of cleaning should happen without request. Also, the breakfast was not good. The same thing every day. The tables were not being kept up as people left. I have stayed in many hotels that had continental breakfast, and this was the worst. The parking was unbelievable. Need to work on the parking situation. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean, friendly staff and convenient.

Our suite was great for our family of 5 while at Yellowstone. Full kitchen in the suite. Free washers and dryers. Breakfast was the same thing everyday and very busy. It has great amenities but they do charge you $53 on checkout for enjoying them.

We stayed her a couple of years ago and we had an incredible experience but however even though our stay was still good it wasn’t quite the same standard. We missed the stuffed wolf that used to be offered and the breakfast room was small and very busy. The staff member that was keeping the food stocked was working very hard, but because of the number of people he couldn’t keep up and the eggs and meat trays were often empty. I think you needed a second person to keep up. The staff however were very friendly and efficient and overall we enjoyed our stay.
