Really run down hotel. The curtains were torn and ratty. The panel was useless on the air conditioner controls. Part of it was missing. The hotel hallways smelled like mold and garbage, and obviously worn and very dirty. It was disgusting. The desk clerks didn't care when we told them, they just shrugged and said call the corporate office. The outside of the building was overrun with weeds. Pool and hot tub were empty, gym room was closed.

The pool and hot tub have been out of service now for over a year. I had to borrow a screwdriver from the front desk to fix my shower control knob. Bathroom floor and floor between the beds was just nasty. No breakfast opportunity beyond a gas station. No longer clean and convenient for when I am home visiting family. I'll stay in another hotel from now on.

Shilo Inn Elko Suites is located next to the Tesla charging station. That is why we chose it. The hotel is a little dated but the room is nice and clean. We had a minor problem with a broken drain stopper in the bath sink, but we were able to use the kitchenette sink. Overall, a good experience.

Most of the amenities were out of order. No spa. No hot tub etc. The pool was so green and murky I wasn’t sure it was save for my grandkids to swim on. Windows everywhere filthy. They don’t provide any type of breakfast so the manager buys some donuts or muffins for the guests (very nice) but that is so unsanitary. Claims to be remodeled but only the room floors have been changed from carpet to wood, mice but they to do so much more to call it “remodeled “.

We booked this hotel because it had a jacuzzi. Upon check in the front desk person who was not in a great mood informed us that the jacuzzi was not in working condition. However, there was a sauna and steam room. The steam room smelled like it had mold in it. So we really did not get the amenities from this hotel we would’ve liked. The gym also is not in working condition. The plus is they are dog friendly and there is a charger for the Tesla in the parking lot. The room wasn’t bad but our shower was nonfunctional, then we got a screwdriver and fixed it

It was nice, room was huge! I booked it online and it said it was a certain type of room they didn’t have or offer so I had to wait for a manager to call to be given a room to accommodate the booking! They did accommodate it by giving a room that was ok, the place is kind of dated, the shower needed to be replaced the water couldn’t come on without some elbow grease (haha) there was trash left behind from the last renter underneath the kitchenette that stunk!!! Otherwise it was fine and it appreciated for the managers upgrade and accommodation request. Btw we went through the invading of the locusts, I thought it was cool but not so much for my little sisters (hahaha)!!!

Sheets were not changed on the beds. We found a dirty sock and a pacifier in the beds. Reported to desk with no result. That’s really awful to sleep in somebody else’s bed when the sheets have been already slept in.

Judge this hotel by its interior, not by its outside. We were very happy with our one night stay at the Shilo Inn. We didn't want a 'breakfast included' place, just needed to sleep-and-go near the highway so Shilo Inn was perfect. Reception was professional and pleasant. Our 2-bed room was much larger than we expected. The beds were so comfortable, the mattress was cozy soft with underlying firmness. The sheets were creamy soft and light enough for summertime. The pillows felt premium. There were many updated furnishings. It's right near the highway, but the windows kept the sound to a minimum. A/C unit worked well. Great water pressure in the shower. Most importantly for most travelers, the Shilo Inn grounds, reception, hallways and our room were all spotlessly clean -- every corner, every surface, everywhere we looked was gleaming clean. Most important for a scent-sensitive person like me, the sheets, the room and all areas of the Inn were free of heavy chemical/perfumey smells, so I could breathe easy. Highly recommended!

Really large, bright and clean room walking distance to a Raley's supermarket. Perfect for a stopover on a long drive home. Front lobby looks a little run down (worn floor tiles) but the actual room was a happy surprise - two king sized beds with fresh white bed-linens in a really large room. Room had both microwave and minifridge. The Raley's is a 2 minute walk across a parking lot to grab some food. Its not a 5 start hotel but for the price I definitely recommend this hidden gem.

LIKED=James Leedy, very professional and helpful. Also, the rest of the staff. DISLIKED = the room was NOT fit for rental. The wood flooring next to the bed was lifted and broken, looks like major water damage. Other repairs door frames and drywall were poorly repaired.

This hotel chain is sad. In an age when hotels are thriving, Shilo Inns are slowly deteriorating into what I can only predict as oblivion. I couldn't leave this property fast enough. Bed uncomfortable. Hallway floors dirty...the kind where one tracks-in dirt on bare feet (to go to the pool) and you then see it on the wet tile floor of the bathroom. Pool was murky green. I decided not to submerge below my waist--afraid it was an unhealthy condition. Beds disappointingly uncomfortable. Pillows were big balls of awful fluff. Toilet continuously ran. Shower made huge ratchet noise and would not run water. Tried it again in the morning and while the ratchety sound was still there, it ran only cold water. The only good thing in the morning "snack" was the apple. Yuck to the Folgers-like coffee. I left the property as quick as possible without a shower or even a shave. The only words in my mouth were, "you get what you pay for", but sadly there are other properties for the same price that are good experiences. "Sad" sums it up.

The pool had a greenish hue. Room 115 queen bed closest to the door, mattress was worn out and slumped greatly that whomever slept on that side felt like they were sliding off.

Linda at the front desk was amazing! very kind, thoughtful, friendly, accommodating and fast! Shilo Inn is out new spot to stay. Also, the location is great for food and shopping. All within walking distance. Oh! and I can't forget the bed and pillows were AMAZING. Best sleep I've had in awhile.

Our 2-bed room was much larger than we expected. The beds were so comfortable, the mattress was cozy soft with underlying firmness. The sheets were creamy soft and light enough for summertime. The pillows felt premium. There were many updated furnishings. It's right near the highway, but the windows kept the sound to a minimum. A/C unit worked well. Great water pressure in the shower. Most importantly for most travelers, the Shilo Inn grounds, reception, hallways and our room were all spotlessly clean -- every corner, every surface, everywhere we looked was gleaming clean. Most important for a scent-sensitive person like me, the sheets, the room and all areas of the Inn were free of heavy chemical/perfumey smells, so I could breathe easy. Highly recommended!

Clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating for handicapped accessible room and parking right outside of entrance and room! Extended our stay last minute and hotel staff was extremely helpful! Pool area needs some upgrades and work but was still very relaxing for me and fun for my Son!

Super courteous staff! They were very kind and helpful with our two miniature schnauzers staying. Best priced pet friendly hotel in town, and they genuinely seemed to enjoy us having our pets with us. We appreciated their kindness and even during Christmas they smiled and greeted us kindly and took care of our needs our entire stay.

Clean and nice arrival - after that no maid service and talked to front desk several times - excuses given by the front desk: only 2 people cleaning - then only 1 person cleaning - and then they don't have anyone cleaning on the weekends (it was a Saturday and we saw at least one person cleaning) - never had our room serviced from Thursday until we left on Sunday - not staying there again!

The check-in went well, however the room didn’t have a refrigerator but had a spot for it (it was empty), there was no shampoo, conditioner or tissue (tissue box was empty). Its a nonsmoking room but smelled like smoke. The coffee area sink didn’t work. I called the front desk several times, but they did not answer. Disappointing for their price’s. I mentioned it to the gal when I checked out but didn’t seem promising they’ll fix anything.

Linda at the front desk was amazing! very kind, thoughtful, friendly, accommodating and fast! Shilo Inn is out new spot to stay. Also, the location is great for food and shopping. All within walking distance. Oh! and I can't forget the bed and pillows were AMAZING. Best sleep I've had in awhile.

Shilo Inn Elko Suites is located next to the Tesla charging station. That is why we chose it. The hotel is a little dated but the room is nice and clean. We had a minor problem with a broken drain stopper in the bath sink, but we were able to use the kitchenette sink. Overall, a good experience.

Really large, bright and clean room walking distance to a Raley's supermarket. Perfect for a stopover on a long drive home. Front lobby looks a little run down (worn floor tiles) but the actual room was a happy surprise - two king sized beds with fresh white bed-linens in a really large room. Room had both microwave and minifridge. The Raley's is a 2 minute walk across a parking lot to grab some food. Its not a 5 start hotel but for the price I definitely recommend this hidden gem.

The pool and hot tub have been out of service now for over a year. I had to borrow a screwdriver from the front desk to fix my shower control knob. Bathroom floor and floor between the beds was just nasty. No breakfast opportunity beyond a gas station. No longer clean and convenient for when I am home visiting family. I'll stay in another hotel from now on.

Very friendly staff, hot tub and pool is exactly what was needed after a long hot day! No breakfast but had coffee, donuts 1 day then cookies next. Staff went out of their way to make sure you are welcomed and even borrowed us a jack from their home when we had a flat tire.... 😀 laundry room awesome with free dryer

The late night checkin clerk was not very friendly. The safety lock on the door was ripped off the wall, and the window screen was torn up. Some leftover garbage was under the bed. The website stated that a free breakfast voucher at a nearby restaurant would be provided, but when I asked in the morning, they said breakfast was not provided. Overall, not a hotel I would stay at again.

Judge this hotel by its interior, not by its outside. We were very happy with our one night stay at the Shilo Inn. We didn't want a 'breakfast included' place, just needed to sleep-and-go near the highway so Shilo Inn was perfect. Reception was professional and pleasant. Let's be honest, you get what you pay for. This is a low-end hotel. Their card reader/writer had been down for a week, so the staff had to let you into your room every time you came and left. There's no elevator, so good luck with your luggage. There was no soap in our room. We booked a room with a sofa bed, guess what wasn't there in our room? It barely served the purpose for a freeway stopover, but I wouldn't stay there again.

The last time I stayed at a Shilo Inn was 30 years ago -- it was a wonderful experience, so when I saw that Elko had a Shilo, I choose that hotel as my destination for the night. Sadly, the Elko Shilo hasn't been updated in 30 years and shows its age. The front desk area didn't have air condition -- fans were blowing. The tiles in my bathroom were cracked and looked a little dirty. The curtain couldn't be closed all the way because one of the stays was broken. The tv image was blurry -- probably due to the t.v. being old. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed ok.
