Great staff, nice room, easy access. Steps in and out of hotel are too narrow and too high (per step). Makes walking up and down difficult and an un-natural gate. made me off balance when carrying bags in.

Have stayed here many times as a 1/2 way point from my home in WA to CA. Nice staff, clean room. Smallish place & sometimes the parking can get really crowded. Very accommodating of my needs. Only two stories, no elevator. Nice little breakfast area with typical free breakfast fare. Right off the freeway but never hear road noise. Always my first choice when passing thru.

Room was clean, spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The sink faucet was set back too far from the bowl. When the sink was used water went all over the counter. We had to put wash clothes around so our toiletries did not get wet. Breakfast was very basic with mainly cold options or biscuits and gravy. The muffins were good. Parking lot was not good for trailers. I had to go to a local laundromat since the hotel did not have laundry facilities. They had complimentary bike rentals.

Friendly staff, breakfast was limited with english mcmuffin, yogurt, and jimmy dean microwave breakfast. Quiet room but room needs better cleaning because we found hair on the bed sheets. TV didn't work well. Overall, just an average stay for 1 night.

Staff was friendly. Room was really nice- very comfy be, roomy space, good shower, outside bathroom vanity and very clean. It is also close to lots of dining choices. we chose Black Bear which was right next door.

I've stayed here several times over the last few months, but this is my first review. The rooms are updated and and impeccably clean. Staff is always friendly, and the $25 pet fee is very reasonable. This is and will be my go-to stop as I travel from Salem, OR to San Francisco to see family.

We were impressed with most everything about our 2 night stay. The mini fridge was a fridge with a separate freezer. That was great for our cooler ice packs. Our kids enjoyed the muffins and yogurt for breakfast, but as protein fans us adults didn't have anything there we could eat. Kids were happy, so that works! There were a few things that weren't too bad, still 5 stars, but less than ideal. Our room didn't have a microwave, which was a bummer. The pool was a outdoor pool, and was nice, but the pool and space was really crowded with a kid's birthday party, which we weren't sure if all those people were hotel guests or people coming in for a party. Our kids didn't have much room to play because of the large party, but they still had fun. This was not our first stay here because we are happy with the place! If we are back in town this is the place we are choosing. Great value. If you're considering this place, I'd recommend it.

Hotel is just an older place that has kept up to modern times. It's not bad to stay if youre having a short staying or over night. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Parking was good. Rooms were ok, the bed wasn't very comfortable for me. Breakfast was basic low cost hotel food. Wifi was terrible and slow, it kept pausing and loading during a FaceTime or Netflix show. I still would stay again. You get a 3 overall.

It's a little tough to find parking and there's no elevator for upper floor, but the room was clean and the bathroom was newly remodeled. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Great place to stay on a long trip.

The person at the front desk was by himself at a relatively busy time of day with multiple check ins. Our key card would not open our door twice. He then came to take apart the door lock and install new batteries. He was extremely patient. This was his first day. The manager was on the phone with him on speaker. The written instructions he was to follow were not accurate. He did not get upset. I Think the manager should have been helping. They are very understaffed. The person in the morning handling the desk was also charged with putting out food and cleaning up in the breakfast area. The sofa in our room was so dirty with large stains that we chose to put our own quilt on it before sitting on it. The bed was comfortable and it had a good shower. However it was not a 9.0 excellent hotel. It is a redone old hotel that still needs work and a bigger staff.

Check in on the website was 3 pm , arrived at 340 , lady at front desk said housekeeping was still in progress with the room , hopefully about 20 minutes , which was fine . Came back 20 minutes later - at 4 pm , was told that the check in time there was really 4 o'clock , but the room should be just another 10 minutes , waited in the lobby another 20 minutes , counted 5 people checking in that got their rooms. I would have been ok with housekeeping is still on it , but straight up lying to my face about check in time was just frikn ridiculous.

Criminal! Avoid booking here. On a family road trip, we reserved a room with two queen beds through hotels.com to spend the night. Upon arrival at 11pm, the hotel reception said they would not be able to accommodate us and cancelled our reservation stating we would get a full refund. (And even wrote on our cancelled reservation 'full refund'.) When hotels.com contacted the Red Lion Inn for the refund, the hotel said it had a 'no refund' policy and refused to refund our money. So in short, Red Lion Inn Grants Pass took our money, refused to honor our reservation, and refused to honor the word of their own representative. Absolutely terrible!

There was a lot of homeless people in the area... But the hotel is mostly safe and fine. Staff was very helpful... Just wished they had a laundry mat so I didn't have to leave the hotel.

The staff was helpful. It was convenient but in an uninteresting area, although it worked well for what we needed being just off I-5.

I stay here every yr on my way to Coos Bay . Very comfortable bed and pillows . It’s quiet and right off the freeway so convenient but no road noise .

Room was fine. I wasn’t expecting much, so it exceeded my expectations. The continental breakfast was disappointing. The OJ literally tasted like cold orange water.

The breakfast was the only weak area of the stay. The food was not good, but the rest of the stay was excellent. If the breakfast was improved, I would find this hotel to be the perfect place for all of my future business in the area.

The room was lovely, very clean & comfortable. My only criticisms are about the included breakfast and complete lack of an elevator. Our first night was on the 2nd floor. We had a baby with a stroller and all the bags and cases that go with a group of 8 (we had 2 rooms) lugging all the luggage up stairs and then down again when leaving was a challenge. I learned on our way back through we requested a ground floor room; much better!! The breakfast is just awful... However, there are restaurant options near by. I do recommend the hotel and recommend you eat out.

Nice up graded rooms. Good quiet ac. Love the sink faucet water stream! However sub-par breakfast with no eggs or meat just mostly carbs so not good

Pros: clean room, comfortable bed and pillows (I prefer a firmer bed and this was okay), plenty of parking, smooth check in and check out, good internet access. Cons: small parking spots, breakfast is very basic (cereal, bananas, no other fruit, muffins, English muffins, no bagels, Jimmy Dean microwaveable breakfast sandwiches that I wouldn’t recommend).

Clean rooms and great staff. There was yogurt, coffee and tea for breakfast for those of us with Celiac but we were told not to eat anything else because of cross contamination. I appreciate the honesty. Coffee and tea in the room, shampoo, etc. room was clean, price was right. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent check-in very helpful and friendly gal at front desk arranged parking for my truck/trailer. Pool was under maintenance so it was closed, not a big deal, but would have been nice after a long drive on a hot day. Room was nice, clean and quiet. Parking seem pretty safe and property is well maintained. Breakfast was the only real disappointment. Slim choices and pretty lack luster. I would choose this hotel again but make my breakfast plans elsewhere. Overall a nice stay.
