What a fantastic place! The staff could not have been more kind and helpful! We arrived late back to the hotel after sightseeing only to find that the restaurant had already closed. They happily fixed us up a couple of sandwich plates. All the food we had here was exceptional. The pool and saunas were very nice and clean. A great treat after a long travel day.

Nice hotel, the pool and steam room were very nice, plenty of parking and there is limited outdoor seating which is a big shame for summer months, but bar and restaurant are comfortable. Upgrading to better rooms may only get you robes and slippers, but for some people thats a worthwhile thing, and there are some bigger rooms too

We had a lovely stay, room was a little dated but the bed was comfortable and shower great, rest of the hotel had a luxurious feel and the dining options were great and could have been excellent with just a couple of details improved like the butter being soft for the bread and fish and chips was a half portion of fish so was disappointing. The spa was gorgeous, just missing a jacuzzi. Overall a great stay and very attentive staff.

Expedia info listed a hot tub. There is no hot tub, only a pool and other “spa” amenities available for booking. The staff member manning the door to the spa facilities was absent when we went to go look at it. When she showed up she said we couldn’t go look at it because we were wearing shoes. It just felt unwelcoming and complicated. The WiFi was terrible and also complicated to use, requiring account creation. The free WiFi access was only 3G and only allowed one device. It was £7.99 a day for better WiFi access. I didn’t buy it. The building interior looks worn out and the lift was out of order. The room was nice sized but old and out dated looking. There were no coffee or tea amenities in the room. The rest of the staff was plenty friendly aside from the spa lady and they were accommodating when we asked for things. They also listed “laundry facilities” which I have learned that in the UK that means they’ll send your laundry out to a service for you, which was inconvenient for us.

The room we stayed in wasn’t as clean as we would have liked it to be. Sticky marks on tables, bedside tables, yellow stains around sink/bath taps, the chairs, carpets in room were in need of replacement, carpets and wall paper in ground corridors need to be updated too. The reception, restaurant and surrounding areas were lovely, clean and modern.

Nice hotel but definitely dated. Could use a deep clean. Carpets in rooms have been there for quite some time as well as the furniture. Stained chairs and couches. Old and historic should not be confused with dirty and disrepair. Staff were extremely friendly, Helpful and always smiling.

Extremely disappointed. The room was extremely dusty along the skirting boards it looked like it had not been vacumed properly for a long time. One of the curtains was completely ripped and falling apart, the carpet was threadbare in places. The wooden batn panel had paint peeling off it and was warped at the bottom. Overall this room was definitely nowhere near a 4 star standard and need urgent maintenance and deep cleaned! Very disappointed and underwhelming stay.

Looks a lot better in the photos phoned 18 times to book a table in the Restraunt apparently phones were down . Our room was very dated like something out of the 80s no USB points no bedside sockets . Absolutely no wifi in our room but was told could buy premium for £7.99 why should I ? Wifi should be available complimentary throughout all areas like it says it is . £20 for breakfast is nothing short of a rip off and a p take . Very poor hotel didn’t look that clean was sugar and tea stains in the tea cup from a previous guest .very dated . only decent thing was the health spa which I didn’t get time to use .

Spa great. Swimming lanes in the pool were useful as there a few children playing with a ball in the pool too. Restaurant had a few GF options and staff seemed knowledgable. Food was of good quality. (Gf burger and chips and steak with chips and mushroom) Room spotless although the shower (over a bath) leaked all over the floor!! Bed allowed a good nights sleep.

Great service from the staff during check in / out and in the restaurant. Accommodation is looking tired, really needs upgrading. I was room 158 on the ground floor, and every inch of the floor squeaked as I moved about. The shower head didn’t stay up and I had the hold the head up with one hand as I showered. See the picture of the stained work space, not what I’d expect in the type of hotel. Disappointed with the TV, small, poor quality picture, in this day and age the rooms really lack modern technology. Didn’t use the leisure facilities, but they looked better quality than the hotel.

The hotel is old and tired, and really needs complete renovation. The carpets are threadbare, the bed sagged, the white plastic shower tap and extractor fan had gone yellow with age, the bathroom mirror was losing its silver backing, and the furniture was chipped and worn. There were no usable sockets near the bed - only old-style round pin lighting sockets. On Saturday night you couldnt see the bar for all the dirty glasses, and tables were left uncleared for hours: just not enough staff to cope. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday night: the food was ok, but somewhat uninspiring, and expensive for what it was. Thirty years ago, this would have been a nice hotel, but it really needs a rethink.

No air conditioning and the room gof quite stuffy/warm at night despite windows being open to let air circulate. Shower and toiletries were excellent. We had dinner in the hotel. The food was overpriced and not cooked to order requirements. The wine was not properly chilled either. Breakfast was average with a number of items incurring a supplement, including a staggering £4 for a cappuchino/latte/hot chicolate. We were not offered additional coffee. We had a big large room which suited our needs. I loved the thick blackout curtains and I slept well. There was a wedding at the hotel but didn’t hear anything. The rooms were quiet and restful. The menu was very expensive (our rate did not include breakfast) so we chose to eat in town. We got taxis as didn’t arrive by car and it’s quite far from main towns/travel stations. The spa area was lovely but they only gave one medium sized towel, which really was only appropriate for my long thick hair and even when I asked they would not give me another towel. Reception staff were lovely and friendly.

The rooms are a little dated and could do with a refresh. The doors are not acoustic rated and can hear everyone talking in the corridors when they arrive late at night or early for breakfast. Can also hear people walking around in rooms upstairs.

reception staff amazing and helpful, especially Paige. Spa was lovely , clean, and relaxing . Dining was good. only things let this hotel down are the standard of rooms. tired and dated ,definately not worthy of 4stars. no plugs beside bedside, poor internet

Spa was excellent. Room was very small with a tiny shower and not easy to access. We had heavy luggage and had to negotiate several staircases. An offer of help with luggage would not have gone amiss. Mattress was very soft

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was horrible , poached eggs overcooked, mushroom dry and beans cold . One waitress was rude when my husband told her about poached eggs. Stay was good but we will not be going back if ever in Stirling.

Nice spa, receptionist helpful and gave all info on food times, booked us in for breakfast and dinner. Very slow service at dinner, not attentive to getting drinks served etc. took over 15 minutes for us to be asked what we would want to drink. Same at breakfast time. Poor service and wouldn’t pay to stay here again at the prices charged.

Above average hotel at best. Hotel is nice enough. A little dated in places. Service in the restaurant can be slow. So much so I walked of breakfast as it took to long. Evening meal are tasty but nothing spectacular for the price.

Very nice clean hotel staff very friendly, however one member of staffs mannerism was very abrupt when we complaint about the bathroom light not working this got fixed straight away and relocated to a different room.

I arrived at 16.30 to be given a twin room when I had paid for a Double. I was told house keeping would change this to a double so I said I would go for something to eat while this is done. On my return this still hadn't been done. The receptionist said she would ask house keeping to do it straight away. At 19.30 I asked again how much longer, only to be told this couldn't be changed to a double. I was then offered another double which could have been done at 16.30 when I checked in not 3 hours later. Very poor.

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, nothing was too much trouble for the team. Friendly, helpful staff, great food, and a terrific hotel—dog-friendly and spacious. The health spa was excellent, too. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. I can't wait to return!

We had a quick overnight stay to break up a long journey and booked here so we could explore the area. In particular the Kelpies which according to Expedia is a short walk from the hotel. This isn’t true. It’s over an hour to walk and about 20 minutes in the car. Lovely hotel, superb big bed which was very comfortable. Staff very nice and dining options were good.

We had a big large room which suited our needs. I loved the thick blackout curtains and I slept well. There was a wedding at the hotel but didn’t hear anything. The rooms were quiet and restful. The menu was very expensive (our rate did not include breakfast) so we chose to eat in town. We got taxis as didn’t arrive by car and it’s quite far from main towns/travel stations. The spa area was lovely but they only gave one medium sized towel, which really was only appropriate for my long thick hair and even when I asked they would not give me another towel. Reception staff were lovely and friendly.

A lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is really delicious; there's a good variety and serving staff could not be friendlier. We had a great spa experience, made even better by the very attentive and courteous staff and lovely facilites. Would definitely recommend considering this hotel if visiting Falkirk. Its gorgeous surroundings and position close to local attractions makes it a fantastic opportunity to relax and enjoy your trip.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. It could use some updating but that didn't detract from our stay. The food was excellent and the service was great. There's not much around this property so we just ate in the on-site restaurant. Convenient to the highway to the airport.

We were able to walk to the hotel from Polmont Station. Hotel had a nice feel and staff were very welcoming and helpful at all times.

Nice clean hotel & friendly staff but food & drink prices are excessive - £12.50 for a large glass of an average white wine is just not acceptable & £18 for an average burger roll with frozen chips (this was the cheapest main meal on the menu) cannot be justified & this spoiled my stay I’m afraid

Had an enjoyable one night stay. The room was comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. I would say it is a little overpriced for what you get. The prices for meals in particular are overpriced. £18 per person for breakfast and the cooker option was a small portion for the price although tasty. I ate the fish and chips in the evening and again although tasty not worth £20.

Spa great. Swimming lanes in the pool were useful as there a few children playing with a ball in the pool too. Restaurant had a few GF options and staff seemed knowledgable. Food was of good quality. (Gf burger and chips and steak with chips and mushroom) Room spotless although the shower (over a bath) leaked all over the floor!! Bed allowed a good nights sleep.

Just underwhelming. Breakfast was horrible, food overpriced. Sausages dried up, eggs precooked...just horrible. No phones in rooms, Qr codes used. Asked for warm/ hot milk for kid... was brought but freezing. Tried to call reception again 4 times no answer. Just not a 4 star hotel as advertised. Pool was also cold and room was over heated... just dont rush to hotel. Staff were pleasent. About only thing up to date at hotel.

Our stay was really good and just what we needed. Our hotel room was a bit dated and could do with a brush up and the pillows were awful but can’t take away from the wonderful time we had. Our evening meal was fantastic but breakfast was definitely overpriced

In the room we stayed in the curtains were all mouldy, damaged and old .You could see cobwebs everywhere especially around the wardrobe and above the bed. Flushing the toilet was also challenging and when I asked the reception lady if someone would be able to do some deep cleaning she promised that someone would , but we could not see any difference when we came back. There was a very poor selection at breakfast ( no yogurts, some days even no white bread) for the price we payed we left very disappointed.
