Great place to stay. Good food and great service. Some of it looking a little dated but very clean. Good little pool but beware it is used for children's swimming lessons. Not much to do around the area (you will need a car) but very convenient for the ferry. You can spot otters just down the road!

I think its 4 star rating is fading. Hot tubs not available and bar menu is vey limited. Accessibility is not good. Good staff. No gym.

Great location with beautiful views. Friendly staff Clean and comfy rooms. Food was good. Nice enough hotel but spa facilities are run down. Hot tub was out of order during our stay. Only hand towels available in spa, 2 foot baths were broken and pool is open to the public so pretty busy. Good choice if your looking for a good hotel getaway but if your looking for a spa weekend, I’d look elsewhere

The hotel has some nice qualities: it’s conveniently close to the ferry, has tasteful décor, and the staff are generally friendly. A special mention to Miguel from Miami, who worked the breakfast service—he was genuinely warm and attentive. That said, several aspects were disappointing. Our room was never serviced, even though we were out during the day and hadn’t placed a “do not disturb” sign. The spa felt underwhelming—very limited facilities, the pool is shared with the local community, and while the hot tub is free, you have to book a slot, which feels odd for a place branding itself as a “spa.” Practical frustrations added up too: reception was empty when I tried to check out in the morning, and navigating the hotel requires going up and down what feels like a million stairs. Lastly, the hotel sells spa products but doesn’t use them in the rooms—seems like a missed opportunity, since people are more likely to buy if they get to try them first. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, but for the price and “spa” label, I expected more.

Totally enjoy the hot tub with stunning views, so relaxing. The bar area is amazing relaxing for a drink and good bar food for a chilled evening. Staff are super welcome and attentive for the service. Fabulous breakfast with amazing sunrise view. Would definitely stay again.

The location of this hotel is outstanding. Opportunities to walk locally and safely with woodland statues and fairy glen for company. Super breakfast and dinner both in restaurant and bar. Really nice little hotel. Clean and fresh rooms. Superb views. Staff excellent. The food is reasonable good pub standard. Great little pool, 16m so you can get a swim in. Fabulous walks all around and minutes from the ferry. Delighted to have stayed.

Room to start looks great very nicely done with the coastal theme. But its all surface dressing very little storage space is provided, the bed is a cheap sprung mattress that wants to throw you out of bed if you get too close to the edge. Bath room is finished well part for the shower screen that has mold forming in the seal due to being a clipon design. My recent stay was far from the spa hotel experience I expected. The room was underwhelming, walls were visibly dirty, there were no robes or slippers provided (which are standard for a spa-focused stay), and the room lacked a refrigerator. Overall, the facility looks tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. To make matters worse, the service in the dining room, particularly from Powell, was poor. He came across as rude and disengaged, showing little personality or hospitality. For a hotel marketing itself as a spa destination, this level of service is unacceptable. The entire experience felt more like staying in a dated motel with spa features tacked on, yet charging luxury hotel prices. Very disappointing and not something I would recommend.

The hotel facilities were nice and the views were lovely, but we were allocated a room two and a half floors down from main reception and there was no lift, so had to heave our cases up and down multiple flights of stairs. The room itself was OK, but had a very musty smell, the shower cubicle was in urgent need of an anti-mould spray, and the walls were pretty thin. The staff were all very polite and the food was good.

Lovely location looking out from the Bar area very peaceful. Ordering food at bar easy however system for finding diners not so great, meals being sen out peaceable and announced by shouting out to those in the seafield bar. Could be better. Rooms OK, bit warm, cleanliness - well cobwebs on bathroom ceiling, insects in shower, hand marks on doors. Could be better.

The hotel is very nice, the location and view are stunning. The spa is great. The pool closed at 8 which seemed early and prior to 7 they had kids swimming lessons so we only had 1 hour to use it. Our only real complaint is that we were on the ground floor. And we both woke up with lots of bites. Maybe ants but were not sure. Also the halway carpet is very outdated.

The hotel is convenient to the Craignure ferry. It was very nice, updated, quiet and very clean. Staff were lovely. We had reserved a room with 2 town beds. When we arrived it was a single king. The front desk person was very accommodating and had housekeeping change the bed over to 2 twins while we were having dinner. We had a small view of the water with Lismore lighthouse in the distance.

Great location and views; super friendly staff; clean rooms. Windows are single pane and let through a lot of cold air - this is true for the rooms as well as the dining area. Radiators in rooms are too small to compensate for leaky windows. Radiator in bathroom is large, very hot and too close to the toilet - one cannot sit straight on the toilet without burning the left leg on the radiator. Food is too expensive for what it is. Overall, a lovely, slightly dated hotel that is too expensive for what it does.

Like.- superb bar staff. Shame about automatic 10% service charge even though I know you can have it revoked- leads to embarrassment. Dislike- room29 had large tear in curtains- picture taken and shown at reception. Damaged painting on window sill and windows is a poor look. No air conditioning provided- not even a fan. Shame because when I left window open to cool room down at night, led to many midges getting in. Considering the charge of over £200 per night for a room only, I believe this place not to be good value for money.

The entire experience felt more like staying in a dated motel with spa features tacked on, yet charging luxury hotel prices. Very disappointing and not something I would recommend.

The hotel facilities were nice and the views were lovely, but we were allocated a room two and a half floors down from main reception and there was no lift, so had to heave our cases up and down multiple flights of stairs. The room itself was OK, but had a very musty smell, the shower cubicle was in urgent need of an anti-mould spray, and the walls were pretty thin. The staff were all very polite and the food was good.

Lovely location and staff with nice decor. Let down by little things - blocked sink, no plug by mirror for using hairdryer, no shelf/bench to put suitcase on or drawers for belongings so literally living out of floor-drobe. Also on arrival, bed was made up as double although twin had been booked so unable to relax until housekeeping had been in to make into twin.

Put in a room at the furthest end of the property. Did not like that. Hotel did not seem overly busy yet we were put so far away. Silly thing to complain about, but really did not like that.

Service in the dining areas was poor. I needed to ask for things like water and coffee two or three times before receiving the items. Most of the food was good however I ordered a bread plate - the sliced bread was dried out and the butter was hard as a rock - was very disappointing.

The hotel has some nice qualities: it’s conveniently close to the ferry, has tasteful décor, and the staff are generally friendly. A special mention to Miguel from Miami, who worked the breakfast service—he was genuinely warm and attentive. That said, several aspects were disappointing. Our room was never serviced, even though we were out during the day and hadn’t placed a “do not disturb” sign. The spa felt underwhelming—very limited facilities, the pool is shared with the local community, and while the hot tub is free, you have to book a slot, which feels odd for a place branding itself as a “spa.” Practical frustrations added up too: reception was empty when I tried to check out in the morning, and navigating the hotel requires going up and down what feels like a million stairs. I came for two nights with my friends. Caveat: I'm from the West Highlands and understand the huge staffing problems due to Brexit/cost of living. However the young woman in reception spoke poor English and clearly needed help. She struggled to understand us, and though friendly, was not helpful. Later, my friend rang down to reception and the phone was answered, by someone else, with an enormous sigh. On our second night dining in the restaurant, (a Saturday night) the waiters were clearly rushing our (expensive) dinner as there was nobody else in the restaurant and they wanted to knock off. We took the hint. Other negatives: the pool area is tired and it's a very odd policy to describe the hotel as a 'spa' then charge £25 to use the spa facilities. Our rooms were a long way from reception, down two sets of very grimy looking concrete stairs. The offer of help with bags was very halfhearted, so we lugged them there ourselves. Upsides: lovely reception area, amazing views, and the food is excellent. The beds were comfy, great showers, and the hotel is brilliantly convenient for the ferry. We enjoyed our stay, despite the issues above, and would stay again. However, better staff training and a rethink on the spa policy would turn this into a genuinely excellent hotel.

Nice situation and very pleasant room at a reasonable price. However we arrived 20 minutes before check-in and were asked to have a seat and they would let us know when the room was ready. An hour or so later we asked again. We had been forgotten about and our room was ready.Nice room and bathroom. Breakfast was awful. I ordered an Egg benedict which came on a soft cold muffin with a barely warm poached egg and COLD Hollandaise sauce. Horrible! My wife ordered smashed avocado with a poached egg and chilli flakes. what arrived was a slice of cold toast with a scrape of avocado, a cold poached egg with runny egg white and no hint of chilli. Equally horrible! The bar adds 10% to all drinks orders too. Would not recommend eating here.

Like.- superb bar staff. Shame about automatic 10% service charge even though I know you can have it revoked- leads to embarrassment. Dislike- room29 had large tear in curtains- picture taken and shown at reception. Damaged painting on window sill and windows is a poor look. No air conditioning provided- not even a fan. Shame because when I left window open to cool room down at night, led to many midges getting in. Considering the charge of over £200 per night for a room only, I believe this place not to be good value for money.

Staff was impeccable. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful and accommodating! Great restaurant staff! Property is very nice and being able to use the walking routes was great!

I had a lovely stay at the Mull Hotel and Spa. The hotel and food were lovely. The staff were on another level amazing. They were friendly, helpful, attentive and so hardworking. They made the whole stay so special with such an amazing level of customer service. I'd like to especially mention the Head Receptionist, Holly. She was so.helpcul and friendly. I'll definitely be going back!!

Staff were individually friendly and helpful. But they did not follow through on requests for confirmation of actions e.g. Spa bookings made ahead of our stay required 2 "chases" before I got an email confirmation. Restaurant was not value for money hence when we stayed most people ate the bar menu.

Really nice 4* hotel within walking distance of Craignure ferry terminal. Room, shower and food all good. Well maintained grounds with walkways down to the beach, and pleasant outside sitting areas including a balcony off the main bar lounge with great views over to Oban. Generally the service was very good, but the only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was that on the restaurant menu there was a cheese plate for 2. As my wife wanted a pudding I asked if I could have the cheese plate for 1 - "No" was the response. I genuinely don't understand this lack of flexibility and would appreciate someone from the hotel explaining the thought process to me. That said, I would stay again.

Great hotel in Mull, 2 minutes from the ferry terminal. It sits alone but has everything you could need. Great food and comfortable room decorated to a high standard and well maintained. Could not fault the service. Will definitely return. 40 mins drive to Tobermory, 1hr to finnaport

My room (59) was ok for me as a solo traveler but there was very little storage and if I had gone with my wife for the same time (3 nights) we would have had clothes piled up on a couple of shelves. The tea making facilities were very good with proper coffee and green tea. The hotel location was good although almost anywhere on Mull is good if you take a car as I did. If you rely on public transport your options are limited unless you include taxis. I did not eat in the main restaurant apart from breakfast which had limited choices (I would have preferred a buffet style breakfast myself). I did eat from the bar menu which again a bit limited and the kitchen closes at 9pm (which if you are going for the bird watching as I was is a little early as it is still light so I took the option to eat early and then go back out to catch the last of the sun. I booked this because it was the only one I could find on the island in Hotels.com and I did not want to rely on travelling across on the ferry every day so for future visits I may have to search elsewhere unless they add a few other options. Unless you are birdwatching or hiking there is little to keep the visitor on the island and many of the "roads" are very poor.

Beautiful location and quiet. Had a nice dinner at the bistro as well. The staff was super friendly. We would absolutely recommend it and stay there again if we come back.

Had a wonderful stay here. Accommodations were great and location perfect. We left a few things behind and they contacted us right away so we were able to retrieve them before we left the island. Food was great as well. Would recommend if you plan to visit the Isle of Mull which is stunning.

The location of this hotel is outstanding. Opportunities to walk locally and safely with woodland statues and fairy glen for company. Super breakfast and dinner both in restaurant and bar. Spa is small but has all that is needed alongside a very good size public pool. Super body massage by Irina........

This is a full professional hotel with all the major facilities including bar, food and pool. We could not have been happier. Clearly must be the very best on Mull at a reasonable price. 2 minutes from the ferry terminal. Will gladly be back.

Great location and views; super friendly staff; clean rooms. Windows are single pane and let through a lot of cold air - this is true for the rooms as well as the dining area. Radiators in rooms are too small to compensate for leaky windows. Radiator in bathroom is large, very hot and too close to the toilet - one cannot sit straight on the toilet without burning the left leg on the radiator. Food is too expensive for what it is. Overall, a lovely, slightly dated hotel that is too expensive for what it does.

Totally enjoy the hot tub with stunning views, so relaxing. The bar area is amazing relaxing for a drink and good bar food for a chilled evening. Staff are super welcome and attentive for the service. Fabulous breakfast with amazing sunrise view. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable enough, reasonably nicely decorated and appointed but overall very poor value for money. The room was pretty small and the windows single glazed. Lots of condensation in the morning. The food and drink is astronomically expensive. My partner and I had a couple of drinks each before dinner (beer and wine) then two courses from the restaurant menu and other beer and wine each. Almost £200 for the meal and drinks! In a decent five star hotel restaurant that may be a fair price but the food served was no where near good value for money. Almost £40 for a small piece of venison and potatoes. Utter robbery. There is a small pub in the village about a mile from the hotel, where we ate the following evening. It’s excellent, honest, good value food. Unlike the hotel. Furthermore the serving staff have difficulty with understanding English as they are not from the U.K. At breakfast the order had to be repeated numerous times and still turned up wrong. A request for had boiled eggs resulted in two lightly poached and runny eggs. We won’t be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights - I was lovely. The ambiance of the main areas were very cozy with a beautiful view of the bay. I had a lovely latte reading a book for the afternoon and even ordered some soup. It was storming outside so a perfect way to spend the day. The room is well equipped and spacious. Restaurant menu seemed exceptionally highly priced although accepted it was quality “fine dining”. It was very uncomfortable with low tables when eating from the bar menu. More of a compromise all round re the food and eating facilities would be welcome.
Restaurant menu seemed exceptionally highly priced although accepted it was quality “fine dining”. It was very uncomfortable with low tables when eating from the bar menu. More of a compromise all round re the food and eating facilities would be welcome.

The stay at the hotel was very nice, in quiet rooms, decorated in a style out of the 80’s, complete with a rotary dialed phone! The property has views onto the bay directly in front of you, which were lovely, and seating for outside viewing as well. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were small but adequate. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the restaurant as well. Dinners were also eaten in the restaurant, and the staff members were super sweet, with the exception of the head hostess/waiter who was pretty rude. Whether she didn’t know etiquette or merely had no idea of proper behavior, we were very displeased with her service. And it appeared as if the waiters and waitresses were afraid of her as well. She was very harsh. The food was lovely though and we sloughed off the distraction by her, but it was not appreciated!

The hotel itself needs some updating, our room had chipped paint and a faint smell of wet dog, the cleaners definitely did their best it's probably the carpets that need cleaning. The spa facilities were basic, the pool is a leisure centre pool, and it wasn't a relaxing experience we expected sadly, for example you take your shoes off and leave in a pile with everyone elses by the reception area like soft play, the lockers dont lock! The hotels in a good location though and staff are helpful and friendly but I wouldn't stay again.
