If you’re looking for location right by Portofino Marina then this is your place. There is NO shower in the rooms, only a huge tub with old style faucets, this was a huge disadvantage. The tussue box in the bathroom was empty. We weren’t given the WiFi password at check in until we called to ask and we also did not receive the free spa service and we weren’t offered any! It’s way too expensive for what we got! I don’t recommend staying there. Saint Margherita Ligure hotels are much better with better services and amenities. Also, the breakfast was very poor, no varieties and the toaster oven wasn’t working. I won’t stay there again for sure . Thanks

This was not a good hotel. Its one of the most expensive and a 5 star in Portofino. Extremely small room and no view. The floor was almost not to walk on if you dont want to wake up everyone in the room and below our room. The other Eight hotel in Parragi beach is much better. They have a fantastic view and a nice beach outside. Its free transports (5 min)between the hotel so next time we will pick this hotel and then go to Portofino with the transport in nice cars. Very friendly service at the other hotel.

This is not a 5 star hotel - first there is no gym or spa or fitness. I thought to have 5 stars you need this. Second, no hot water and no one seemed to do much about it. We only had hot water the first day of our stay, then the second and third none and the staff was not very helpful. Third, no restaurant - only some pizzas in the room. And finally staff was not very friendly and concierge was clueless, even made us a reservation for a restaurant that was closed. The room was nice, hotel recently remodelled but the overall experience was negative, and this hotel cannot say they are a 5 star nor charge 5 star prices with this service.

The rooms are nicely appointed although I had some mild issues with the plumbing at first. I am not a fan of half showers, but that is common there, especially in older properties. The one caution in the bathroom is the height of the tub above the floor...it can be a bit dangerous as the floor appears to be a couple inches lower than the tub bottom...just a small warning in my particular room. Lobby is lovely. Breakfast is very pleasant and the staff works hard to make it so. The air conditioning is slow to get cool, so extra steps like closing the blinds and and sealing off the bathroom was needed as the bath had a sun filled window. Elevator is quite small but works well. Steps are open and easily used. the only terrace is at the top of the hotel. Not particularly useful. No bar, No view. Local transport to their other hotel on Paraggi beach is excellent. Clean up staff are up to the task. Location is fine...short walk to the harbor at Portofino. Nice tv and room amenities. For the rate I might have expected a bit more than provided, but overall a very nice hotel in a lovely little part of Italy.

The hotel was great, although the rooms were smaller than in the pictures. We got a junior suite and it was not at all how it appeared in the pictures. Also, the rooms are a little dated. Besides that, the staff was very friendly and the shuttle to the sister hotel to use the beach us great!

We stayed in the hotel near the main square. Parking was provided and the service was excellent. The room was small but very tastefully furnished. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel room was okay. Needs renovations.. bathroom shower head set up creates a water mess. Check in with Aziz was wonderful tho, staff overall in both locations were great, def made the stay better.

Lovely and attentive staff, room was spacious but some furniture a little tired. The bathroom only had one sliding door on the shower meaning there was always a big gap, thus a lot of water landing on the floor. Did question this with reception but didn't hear back. Rooms cleaned twice a day though, so we always had towels and mat replaced afterward. Lovely decor and location - would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, the staff’s attention to details and level of service was second to none. The continental breakfast was also very good. The lobby was very well decorated and the hotel felt very welcoming. Although comfortable, the bathroom smelled of dampness and some of the corners in the shower area were rotting. A small detail that should be looked at.

There were renovation works happening at the property but nothing was mentioned when I booked. The room showed a balcony in the pictures, but there were no balconies in the whole hotel, when I asked staff they said they used pictures from their other hotel in Portofino. In general the whole stay was very average

Just had 2 nights here. Absolutely beautiful hotel within short walking distance to Portofino harbor with all the restaurants and shops. The attention to detail at this hotel is incredible. The breakfast buffet is amazing with huge variety of choices fantastic warm bread and pastries, everything you could wish for. Dyson hairdryer in the room was an extravagant touch and dried my hair in 10 min instead of 20! Definitely hope to return one day!

Local transport to their other hotel on Paraggi beach is excellent. Clean up staff are up to the task. Location is fine...short walk to the harbor at Portofino. Nice tv and room amenities. For the rate I might have expected a bit more than provided, but overall a very nice hotel in a lovely little part of Italy.

The hotel was great, although the rooms were smaller than in the pictures. We got a junior suite and it was not at all how it appeared in the pictures. Also, the rooms are a little dated. Besides that, the staff was very friendly and the shuttle to the sister hotel to use the beach us great!

If you’re looking for location right by Portofino Marina then this is your place. There is NO shower in the rooms, only a huge tub with old style faucets, this was a huge disadvantage. The tussue box in the bathroom was empty. We weren’t given the WiFi password at check in until we called to ask and we also did not receive the free spa service and we weren’t offered any! It’s way too expensive for what we got! I don’t recommend staying there. Saint Margherita Ligure hotels are much better with better services and amenities. Also, the breakfast was very poor, no varieties and the toaster oven wasn’t working. I won’t stay there again for sure . Thanks

This is not a 5 star hotel - first there is no gym or spa or fitness. I thought to have 5 stars you need this. Second, no hot water and no one seemed to do much about it. We only had hot water the first day of our stay, then the second and third none and the staff was not very helpful. Third, no restaurant - only some pizzas in the room. And finally staff was not very friendly and concierge was clueless, even made us a reservation for a restaurant that was closed. The room was nice, hotel recently remodelled but the overall experience was negative, and this hotel cannot say they are a 5 star nor charge 5 star prices with this service.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, the staff’s attention to details and level of service was second to none. The continental breakfast was also very good. The lobby was very well decorated and the hotel felt very welcoming. Although comfortable, the bathroom smelled of dampness and some of the corners in the shower area were rotting. A small detail that should be looked at.

Just had 2 nights here. Absolutely beautiful hotel within short walking distance to Portofino harbor with all the restaurants and shops. The attention to detail at this hotel is incredible. The breakfast buffet is amazing with huge variety of choices fantastic warm bread and pastries, everything you could wish for. Dyson hairdryer in the room was an extravagant touch and dried my hair in 10 min instead of 20! Definitely hope to return one day!

The rooms are nicely appointed although I had some mild issues with the plumbing at first. I am not a fan of half showers, but that is common there, especially in older properties. The one caution in the bathroom is the height of the tub above the floor...it can be a bit dangerous as the floor appears to be a couple inches lower than the tub bottom...just a small warning in my particular room. I don't believe this hotel truly meets 5-star standards. The staff are friendly, but the overall experience falls short in some basic areas. We had a 7 a.m. checkout, and breakfast doesn't start until 8 a.m. — meaning we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel. We asked for a to-go option, which was not available. This is something every other 5-star property I've stayed at handles as a matter of course. Additionally, no complimentary water was offered in the room — or if it was, no one mentioned it. Again, this is standard at any hotel in this category. Breakfast itself was decent, nothing remarkable. I understand Portofino is an expensive destination, but the experience here didn't match the 5-star label.

Oasis in the heart of Portofino. Steps from the port and lovely restaurants and stylish clean well run place to stay! My especially appreciated the beautiful breakfast beautifully laid out in the dining room. Lovely staff a great us having car park and kept for the night. Will definitely return and a huge thank you to all the staff.
