Red Roof Inn PLUS & Suites Vicksburg

Diese total versüffte Baracke ist mit Abstand schlechteste Hotel wo ich in den letzten 10 Jahren übernachtet hatte (... und das waren weltweit sehr viele Hotels). Die Rezeption war nicht besetzt (kurz vor 18 Uhr), man musste 30 Min. auf die Dame wartenund ihre die Motivation war entsprechend. Es sah so aus als hätte sie einen Tiefschlaf, selbst meinen Anruf im Hotel konnte keinen Mitarbeiter anlocken. Mit mir warteten dann anschliessend 4 weitere Gäste. Das erste Zimmer musste ich umgehend tauschen, da es wie in einer Raucherkneipe roch, obwohl es wohl ein rauchfreies Hotel sein soll. Das zweite Zimmer war dann rauchfrei aber auch total desaströs. Sauber war wohl mal was anderes, Die Stoßleisten hingen weg, die Lampenschirme waren total krum, der Boden hatte wohl schon länger keine Reinigung mehr gesehen, die Klimaanlage hatte früher auch mal mehr Lamellen und war sicher auch mal sauber. Das wirklich einzigste was zumutbar war war das Bett. Da ich leider keine Alternative hatte und war mein erster Gang zum nahegelegen Walmart um Desinektionstücher zu kaufen. Dank Oropax konnte man auch schlafen. Am Morgen dann die nächste Katastrophe. Das Fürhstücksbuffet, bestand aus fast gar nichts; Kaffee gab es, Milch etwas Conflakes und eine Waffelautomaten. Alles andere war leer und der Saftautomat war defekt, ein Auslauf für Saft war abgebrochen. Es gab sogar eine Mitarbeiterin, die war aber nur mit sich selbst beschäftigt mit telefonieren und rauchen. Mold everywhere

Parking was good, staff was good. The pictures online of this hotel looks much nicer than it is. Room needs updating and fresh paint, bathroom was in need of repair. I paid and requested a deluxe handicap accessible room and got a standard king room. I am handicapped and just had a heart surgery 5 days prior and needed the shower, because it was difficult to lift my leg over the tub. The walls had spots all over and looked like splatttered blood, or something brown slung all over it. You can tell the staff try to clean the best they can, but it’s hard when things are falling apart. Breakfast was just cereal oatmeal and waffles, a few muffins , juice and coffee. Very minimal. Until they can upgrade, we won’t be staying here again. Whoever does the reservation for Hotel.com needs to pay attention when someone requests a handicap room, we don’t ask for it for the fun of it! I have stayed in much nicer hotels for what I paid to get a room in Vicksburg for this room! I am very disappointed with hotel.com.!!

It was functionally okay. The hotel was very run down and dirty. It seriously needs and update. Dirty walls. Something I could not ID on the lampshades.
