Oak Tree Inn

I have visited this location in past, but recently it has gone down, 1 towel in bathroom with low tissue, smelled old and unwelcoming. They put us in back of hotel which was spooky and we were concerned about our safety with people outside standing working on vehicles. They no longer server breakfast, the mirrors were dirty and ice machine did not work. Also the phone in the room did not work.

The room key didn’t work because the lock was broken. The room was filthy. Hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest left. The sheets hadn’t been changed since there was hair and dirt in them. The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after weeks of use. I cleaned it myself. The walls had dirt and splatter marks. There was food in the fridge. The light for the sink area had a flickering dim bulb = no light you can see from. Thick dust everywhere. There was no “breakfast” as advertised. We woke the desk person from her couch an hour after breakfast was to start.She was wearing the same clothes as the night before and was barefoot. She gave us oatmeal cream pies and 2 small cartons of frozen orange juice. We assumed the coffee was probably from the day before. Very disappointed in what felt like an inconvenience for them to have us.

I will never stay here again. I prepaid for the room but they gave me the run around once I arrived. The young lady at the front desk gave someone my room key and they came in on me. Seemed really suspect to me and someone could've gotten shot. A man was beating his woman while his child screamed for dear life next door. The worse hotel stay I've ever experienced!

The listing advertised free breakfast. There was no breakfast. The microwave was broken. There was an ironing board in the room but no iron. There was no drinking cup in the room. The shower curtain was moldy. The faucet needs an aerator (water shot out of the sink). There was a half roll of toilet paper, no spare. The heater worked, the mattress was fine, staff was pleasant.

The front door guy was great. I stayed during the ice strom the lights were out, no heat and i had to stay in my car,for 2 days.
