Only negatives are there is no lift and taking luggage to a 3rd floor room may be a tedious task. Positives are clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, good English breakfast included, convenient location near London Euston station.

Very clean. Short walk to tube station and Regent’s Park. Loved the little courtyard where you could just sit and enjoy or have a take away. Breakfast was lovely although the breakfast room quite small and cramped.

We had a lovely stay here. It was really easy to check in and out, and having codes rather than a key made life very simple. Breakfast was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable and very well equipped - microwave, kettle, fridge and plates, bowls and cutlery as well as cups and glasses. The bathroom was small but the shower was very good and easy to use. Plenty of towels. There was occasionally a little noise from the street (traffic, sirens etc), but that was mostly because we had our window open. It didn't disturb us or make it difficult to sleep. There's no lift at this hotel, so that's something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Room was in the 3rd floor with no lift. Had a struggle a lot it carry bags of a family of 3.

Decent hotel right in the middle of the University of London. Five-minute walk to the British Museum. A/C did not work very well on the top floor. No elevator. Staff was friendly.

The staff were absolutely lovely! Breakfast was great, but they are understaffed and the breakfast room is very tiny and crowded for the amount of guests staying. Our room was small, dated, hot, and very noisy from other guests. You can hear everything... There is no lift and very difficult to navigate with luggage. The bed linen was lovely and the cleaning of a good standard. Sadly despite the lovely staff and cooked breakfast, we will not be returning.

I liked this place. They have working air conditioning and the garden out back was amazing. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was helpful and kind. This place has great access to the things you would want to see and do in London. Typical of buildings of this period, there are a lot of stairs to get to your room.

Nice and clean place to stay in London. No elevator in place. Our room was located in the third floor so a big effort was required to carry up our belongings.

Very convenient location for Central London. Check in was friendly and professional. Room was comfortable, bathroom was small but servicable. Bonus to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Complimentary tea and coffee and bathroom items. Room was quite warm. As we stayed on the ground floor facing the rear garden it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was great. Recommend and would stay again.

I checked out after one night due to many issues with the room. I was very disappointed to find a hair on the toilet seat and hair in the shower when I arrived. There was also a blood or feces stain on one of the towels. The toilet only occasionally flushed. The shower continuously dripped so the floor was constantly wet. There were stains on the walls by the bed and the room smelled like urine. I woke up the next morning with many bites on my body. I found a bug in the bed. Upon looking at google reviews it seems that the hotel has had an ongoing bed bug infestation. I did not feel safe staying at the hotel so I booked somewhere else. I sent messages to the property manager that were ignored so I went back to the property to speak to reception. They said the manager would get back to me. I got a message saying they didn’t find any evidence of any of the issues mentioned and wouldn’t issue a refund even though I didn’t stay at the property. Thank goodness I took pictures and videos to prove what they denied. Expedia was able to review and issue a refund. Beware of booking this property!!! I stayed somewhere else that was close in price but exponentially better. Regency house was about $100 per night and the Bedford hotel was $140. Well worth $120 to stay somewhere safe and so much better for the rest of my trip!

What a sad experience. Location is nice, you have the facilities you need. The windows did not close properly. But worst of all was the fact that the beds were overcrowded by bedbugs. They did not show at once as the beds were freshly made, but by the time we were going to sleep the bugs were everywhere. On us, too. I called the number provided but they did not have any spare room and I was advised to find another hotel, at 11 pm, with two kids. We were sitting in the hallway while I was trying to find a place for us nearby. It did cost me twice as much, but the beds were bugfree. When I came by the next day to deliver the keys the receptionist did not appear suprised, nor did she apologized for the invonvinience or asked if we were ok. I did get the refund.

Bedbugs. Having seen previous reviews mentioning bedbugs, I specifically asked the receptionist to assure me that the room I was staying in, room 17, on the third floor, did not have bedbugs. He said that room was fine. In the night I found a bedbug, which I squashed...in the morning I told the receptionist, who said, I am so so sorry, how horrible, I thought they were only in the ground floor rooms. Management is aware, he added. It's not good. I won't stay there again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I had a very clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view of the garden. The breakfast was cozy and delicious each day, with really lovely and hardworking women ensuring I had everything I needed. It is centrally located on a safe and charming street with Fitzrovia/Bloomsbury.

Hello, we only stayed one night instead of 2 as we had BED GUGS in our 3 beds. Of course the Hotel refunded our money for the 2 nights. I hope the hotel will do what’s necessary to eradicate it to accept other customers inside their rooms.

Terrible experience with bed bugs. I stayed for two nights, experienced hives. Initially I thought I was allergic to something. Second night, I found several bed bugs, 3 big ones, more than 10. Awful even think about it.

I woke in the night because of bedbugs bites. My whole body was covered. Disgusting.

The room pictured is no where close to the room we received. Ours was in the basement, very dark, did not have a fireplace or high ceilings as pictured and there was hardly any room to get in or out of our bed. Our checkin agent was helpful which was very much appreciated.

The house, staff, and area were great! But the bed was super uncomfortable and room very cramped. There is a metal door stop in the middle of the room and I tripped and stubbed my toes multiple times. It should be covered or tv moved something! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and we had good service. Just a few things that could be improved.

For a one night stay within easy walking distance to Euston Station, this hotel was good, but I don't think I would have been happy for more than one night. The room was tiny - the layout maximized space well, but it felt like a converted storage closet, and the bathroom was so small I could barely turn around. There was incredibly low water pressure in the shower. The mattres wasn't comfortable, but I'm not sure if that was a quality issue or just my personal taste. The property felt run-down, with peeling wallpaper and chipped banisters and yellow-tinted lampshades that looked older than I am. I could hear the stairs creaking and doors closing at all hours, but I expect that from older properties. One of the worst parts was having to check in at a property a 10-minute walk away. The hotel did message me in advance about this, but I was originally scheduled to arrive during hours when there was reception here so I didn't think much of it - due to a travel delay, I arrived later and had to walk down to the other hotel. Staff there was helpful, but it was still a nuisance. Additionally, there is no way to contact staff except by phone or walking over to the other hotel, so if you don't have a phone number that works in the UK, as I don't, there is no easy way to reach out to anyone about any issues. The good: breakfast was pretty good, though I never got the tea I ordered. The amenities were nice, and included a toothbrush/toothpaste and mending kit.

Quirky place. Nice area only a short distance from Tottenham Court Road and Theatreland. I had the basement Captain’s Cabin which was fitted out as you’d expect with lots of wood and portholes - rather odd. Wouldn’t have been nice in summer but fine in winter. Very much a typical B&B style hotel as with all the others along the same road in Bloomsbury.

Room was small but clean Shower new, hot water good. Bathroom very small just workable.

After securing a reservation 5 months in advance, the property management decided to switch my party to another location due to "Operational Reasons" two days prior to our arrival. Studios2Let were very professional and accommodating, however, the rooms were right on the street, bottom level with so much noise no sleep was inevitable. Regency House attempted to be accommodating, but as I frequently travel to the UK, I will not look toward Regency House for accommodations.

The staff was great and very accommodating, room was clean and location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit.

Stayed here for 2 nights for convenience to theatreland (short ish walk away) but was disappointed on many things. Arriving after 8pm, we had to walk to another hotel to collect our keys but we had no email explaining this beforehand. The gentleman that gave us our keys (at the other hotel) took our breakfast request time (8:30) but our hotel only sat 16 and when we arrived there was no table for us, for 3. We waited 10-15 minutes after being ignored mostly by the kitchen staff, we sat on a single seater, and a 2 seater table. The receptionist was helping the kitchen staff and was very polite, the waitress staff, not remotely. The second morning we had a table for 3. Nice fried breakfast, sensible sized portions. The beds (we had a family room) were soft and uncomfortable, the heater was above the bed and blew down the neck of one of us making them cold through the night and needing to turn it off. Floorboards in the room we’re very creaky for us in the room and no doubt annoying for the room below. The bathroom was very small, one of us was over 6ft and it was very difficult for them to bend over to use the sink but the shower was lovely after taking just a little time to warm up. The room was very clean. I was disappointed that towels were changed daily when not requested. Also hugely disappointed that everything was thrown in a big black bin in the kitchen, yoghurt pots, food, jam pots, everything. Nothing was recycled. Overall a disappointing stay.

Disastrous start to our one-night visit. We'd booked via Expedia and the confirmation stated that the front door would be locked at 7pm. We arrived at 6.30 but the place was locked and a note on the door said that they lock weekdays at 6pm and so i had to walk for an additional half hour round trip to their sister hotel to get the keys. Once inside we had to walk up to the third floor to be met by what I can only describe as a 'garret' bedroom with cupboard-sized ensuite. Bed was comfortable and happily surprised by the cooked breakfast.

Arrived at 11:30pm and attempted to get o to the hotel with the code sent to me. Something was wrong with the keypad a the code would not work - keypad would blink furiously for several seconds and then not work at all. Rang the doorbell and no one answered. Called the telephone number listed on the Hotels.com website for the Regency hotel repeatedly and nobody answered. After spending 20 minutes, trying to get into the front door, calling, and ringing the doorbell with no response, I had to walk to the sister hotel 10 minutes down the road so that I could speak to a live person. I showed him a video of the keypad not working and he reset the codes so that they would finally work when we walked back to the hotel. The whole ordeal took 45 minutes and I finally got into my hotel room after midnight. Since I’m checking out first thing tomorrow morning, this is particularly aggravating. Not a good first impression.

Small but pleasant room next to the breakfast room. Staff were pleasant but we were very frustrated to have to walk to another hotel to check in at 6pm, even though the reception was advertised as open until 7pm. This is not just a 30 second walk and left us short of time to get ready for a meal. Good breakfast options and location was great.

No room at the inn! Someone forgot to transfer the Expedia booking to the actual register.

The check in desk closes at 5:00 PM and if you arrive after that you have to walk about 5 blocks to check in at a sister hotel. So f it's raining, which is highly likely in London, you have to haul all your stuff with you in both directions ... not fun after traveling all day!

Loved our stay, from the friendly welcome on check in to the lovely comfortable room, the freshly cooked breakfast and the genuine warmth from all the staff. We were even offered a hot drink on the house when we collected our bags before heading to the train station. Perfect location as well , great eateries nearby and 10/15 minute walk to Leicester Square.

Was conveniently located close to the major tourist areas but still on a quiet block.

Fantastic stay. Convenient location, walkable, right next to a number of Tube stations. Very close to the British Museum. The breakfasts were a great and easy start to the days, too.

The location is excellent. Nice zone, close to metro and train stations (including Euston and St Pancras), stores and restaurants. Not far from touristic spots like Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Good service at reception and during breakfast. And even when the reception is closed during night, we received prompt attention when we had an inconvenient with calefaction late at night. We were very concerned because there had been many complaints about bed bugs since 2023. However, our room was free of bed bugs and very clean. The hotel is a little run down, the room and the bathroom were very small but they were clean, with good linen and towels and good enough to stay at nights. As for the breakfast, it was very good and the attention was good too. Although the zone where it is served is too small.

Great hotel, close to theatres, transport- train & underground. Ideal for a city break. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was great. Rooms clean & a good size. Was useful to have a microwave & fridge in the room too. Would definitely use again, thank you.

This hotel is a little gem. The service was top notch from start to finish. The room was the perfect size for me and pristine clean. The breakfast was lovely. Great value for money and highly recommended!

Hotel is in a great location. 10 minute walk from euston Station. Hotel staff friendly, housekeeping came in and freshened up the room on our second day and replenished tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, the ladies frequently asking if we wanted anything else. Would definitely stay here again.

Arrived just after 2:15 and the room was not ready. No where to wait so had to go off for coffee. Staff were very polite, nice and V hard working. Room was at the top of the building. Room was reasonable size but the bathroom very small but this is the nature of an old building conversion. Breakfast was great, good thick bacon, nice cook on the eggs. Dining room is not big, tables small and people have to wait at times. But, for the price this was very good value and well located for access to the city. We would stay again.
