Happy hour lounge employees were particularly friendly and did a great job. Happy hour was a nice perk with a good choice of snacks— enough for a light meal. Front desk staff were also professional and courteous. Ideal location.

Was in room 130, if you are offered this room, say no! It is close to the reception, lots of noise overnight as people go up and down corridors, the room had bulbs gone, half a shower screen, a creaky bed, a very loud a/c unit and no remote control for the TV. The buffet breakfast was mediocre, but did fill a space. The hotel is in a convenient location, and the staff were nice, but that was about it.

Unfortunately the bar area was closed for the evening and breakfast the next day was in the cramped executive lounge, all due to a football team staying. I’m sorry Hilton, but you should be accommodating all your guests with all your facilities. A few overpaid footballers shouldn’t be taking precedent over your normal customers who I suspect far outnumbered them.

Excellent stay with breakfast. Air con was great given the 39 C temps this weekend. We brought dog and were well received by staff. Any gripes would be that a 3 pm check in is a bit late and equally a noon check out could be shirtened to 11.30 to get a 2.30 check in. Noise involving so called music blasting from nearby venue a shame.

I'm very sorry that I have to give this Hilton hotel such a poor review. But a hotel of this category that, after three days of tropical temperatures, can't get the air conditioning working, the windows won't open, and the broken refrigerator is only replaced after repeated requests, doesn't really deserve a star. That said, the breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff was at least friendly. I actually love the hotel and the location, but after my bad experience last time, I'll avoid this hotel in the future—perhaps the Hilton chain in general.

Very good stay, room comfortable and very quiet, breakfast very good especially the hot buffet and the fresh omelettes, location very good, tube close by. WiFi very good, easy to connect and no issues with it dropping etc. Staff very helpful in response to any requests. There are cheaper options available but the service, location etc are worth the extra. Located in a very nice area.

Room was very clean, needed a bit of an update in the bathroom but otherwise great - fabulous shower. I am a bit picky with beds and the bed was a bit too firm (and I hasten to add) for me, but other people would probably find it ok. Lots of power sockets, some with USB sockets. Everything was there - lots of drawer space (unusual these days!) ironing board etc and lots of toiletries and towels. One criticism would be that complimentary bottled water should be there in the room and was not - this is a Hilton.. Parking behind the hotel is close by and a stay heavily discounts the charges!

The staff were really pleasant and helpful, the hotel was generally clean, but there was an unpleasant smell of drains in the bathroom - it hit you as you went into the room. The hotel is basically clean but shabby in some areas - in need of some renovation I would say. Great location, great breakfast! Perfect for an overnighter when visiting London.

Overall it was an ok stay. Was on a work trip and my office was a 5 minute walk from this hotel (and I've stayed here previously) which is why I chose it. Convenient, close to metro and several bus stops, and with plenty of food/drink nearby. Will say I feel like the hotel itself has gone down a bit in cleanliness and attention to detail. To start I checked in in the morning and walked in my room and the trash from the previous guest was still in the bin in the room. I called immediately to have it changed out, and the person who answered was very apologetic and said they would change it asap, so I left within a half an hour of calling to go explore and when I arrived at night the trash was still there. I also went to use the hairdryer that night and it wasn't working, so called reception to get a new one, it took them 45 minutes to bring a new one and they only did because I called again. Turns out the new one was also broken, so they finally brough a third that worked. The electric kettle provided in the room was not the cleanest and had some visible gunk inside, I was very hesitant to use it so I just grabbed hot water downstairs whenever I wanted tea. I'm honestly not sure I would stay again, I really enjoyed the convenience of the location and the size of the room and comfort but it's feeling a bit forgotten/dirty. Also as I was leaving I overheard a guest at reception telling the person behind the counter there were moths all over the room/closet. Disappointing.

The breakfast was excellent and the front of house staff were too. Sadly, the shower in the room was very dated and dirty looking - it had been emergency repaired but poorly so with broken tiles and stained areas everywhere. It could do with being upgraded properly ASAP. Also the bed was very hard and creaked with every movement as well as the mattress moving. The room looked out onto a courtyard that had dead pigeon carcasses in it. For the price paid this room was worse than a Holiday Inn and certainly not the standard we expected of a Hilton (we've stayed on many great ones elsewhere). Also the restaurant staff (particularly one of the team leaders) was unnecessarily I professional and demanding of their staff. Not the best thing to see when eating your breakfast.

Excellent location - we were exhibiting at the Business Centre next door so it was perfect. Reasonable breakfast (even had vegan options) and not bad coffee. Bed squeaked terribly. Shower was awesome. Nice spacious room with a great view. Staff were really helpful.

First time at this hotel. Location close to two tube stations so very easy to get around London. Stayed in king guest room which was spacious with plenty of storage. Very spacious and clean bathroom with shower.

The rooms were a nice size, bed was a bit squeaky The breakfast was really nice buffet, location is really nice- staff were friendly- just left standing at breakfast as tables were not really cleaned up quick enough, no cutlery laid and nobody offering coffee- or at least telling us where to get one- as we ended up walking to the counter and asking. But these are just some points for your Staffa be managers to think on. Otherwise it was a lovely hotel and food. And would come again.

Convenient for places in Angel. Clean hotel and basic amenities. Be cautious if you are an international traveler and used to "king size" bed the king size is actually a double or less than a queen. Also, the beds are very firm.

Not great at all. Check in staff rude and unhelpful when I’d booked and pre paid for my wife but it was in my name they wouldn’t let her check in, even after the hotels.com had spoken to them directly. Were quite happy to see a woman on her own crying at the desk…. Then when finally they did us a favour and let her check in, the Bath room was disgusting- mouldy dirty etc as per the photos And for £385 per night

After 30 years of business travel, this is possibly the worst hotel stay of my career! 1. Thermostat is my room broke on day 1. The response from the manager: "I'll give you a fan or an extra blanket...we can't fix it". No offer of another room! 2. No hot water first thing in the morning. I guess the hot water had a hard time getting to the second floor!?3. Overall cleanliness was subpar. 4. After 30 years of business travel, this is possibly the worst hotel stay of my career! 1. Thermostat is my room broke on day 1. The response from the manager: "I'll give you a fan or an extra blanket...we can't fix it". No offer of another room! 2. No hot water first thing in the morning. I guess the hot water had a hard time getting to the second floor!?3. Overall cleanliness was subpar. 4. I have stayed here multiple times but something happened this time which would make me hesitant to stay again. I checked in at 3:00. At midnight, the sound of someone opening my door scared the living daylights out of me. I screamed and called the front desk. The man told me that I must have heard someone opening their door. Then they called to say that a staff member opened the door to check to see if there was anyone staying there. They said that they had some confusion with my arrival. It did not make sense to me. The desk day I complained to the front desk and she offered to buy me coffee. That was not enough for the sheer panic I had the night before.

Booked a last minute stay at this hotel as we needed a place to stay for the night. When we arrived, apparently the hotels check-in system was down and the staff did not know which rooms were clean and which were dirty. The staff were very stress and obviously had not been trained to deal with this situation. Many guests were complaining that their rooms were dirty. The staff then had to physically check which rooms were ready for guests. We waited over an hour to be checked-in. Once we finally got to our room, the bathroom wasn't very clean. Limescale and grime. It needed a proper clean! The A/C in the room was also very loud, meaning we didnt get much sleep at all... Not acceptable for a four star hotel. We'd like a refund.

Very good stay, room comfortable and very quiet, breakfast very good especially the hot buffet and the fresh omelettes, location very good, tube close by. WiFi very good, easy to connect and no issues with it dropping etc. Staff very helpful in response to any requests. There are cheaper options available but the service, location etc are worth the extra. Located in a very nice area.

Wasn’t happy with the hotel’s service, went to check in at 5pm only to be told I couldn’t check in until after 7pm, I had dinner reservations for the evening in a top restaurant and I had to wear the same clothes I had on the whole day!

Nice hotel. Was able to book at the last minute and even then the check in was super smooth. Very convenient for work in the Business Design Centre (next door), however this does pose son inconvenience when there is an event on as the front gets incredibly busy.

The rooms are nice and service is good but the breakfast menu has been cut back and is not what I expect for the price: no rolls, no baguette or whole grain bread, no smoked salmon, minimal selection of cheese and fresh fruit. I understand that the directive to cut back came from a management level above the hotel manager.

The room was not clean; the Superior Room had no dressing gowns in them - we had to request them; and was exactly the same as a Standard double room; there was no recognition of us getting married over the weekend of our stay and all messages to the hotel, prior to our stay, remained unanswered - a totally disappointing stay. Do not stay here if you are getting married at Islington Town Hall and expecting the Hotel to recognise this fact and give you some added recognition.

Quite a bizarre experience that I would NOT recommend. I was woken at 8.50am by the room's phone ringing (which sounded like a fire alarm). On answering the phone, someone at the other end put the phone down! On check out I mentioned it, and was given this bizarre (and frankly unfeasible) explanation: Apparently someone entered the hotel that morning claiming they couldn't remember if they were staying there or not, however they could remember their room number (which was the same as my room) and they also had the same first name as myself! The reception decided to call my room to check if it was occupied and when I answered, instead of saying something they just put the phone down. I've no idea if the story is true, but if so, why did reception not say anything to me when they called? They whole experience is less than satisfactory to put it mildly, and I'd encourage you to avoid this hotel and its odd staff if you'd like a good night's sleep.
