Perfectly located for an overnight on the Euro Tunnel. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style or cooked. Large carpark. I had a ground floor room- minimal noise at night. (Although the bathroom door needs an oil!) good shower for my 1.8m but if you’re taller then it’s a little low! Hard water so needed to unclog a few of the jets in the shower head but good pressure and temperature. Beds comfortable enough. Restaurant attached really nice for evening meals. Bar was lovely too.

Breakfast was superb. Dinner menu extensive and very reasonable priced. Food good quality. Convenient for Canterbury we walked into the city most days. Handy having free car parking.

Only stayed overnight it was Lovely & clean My room was recently painted so looked nice Hospitality tray in room was good Breakfast cooked to order so nice to be served hot and cooked for you Staff very friendly Carvery meal is excellent Good chef Only one thing to make a note of is there Is no lift and I was given room on 2nd floor So not for the less mobile I’m 72 and just about made it up the 2 flights So must request a lower floor next time

The location was great, we walked into Canterbury within 15 minute. If we beed to return to tue area, we will definitely come back to the Victoria.

Friendly, family run hotel within 20 mins gentle walk to centre of Canterbury. Large car park at the rear. Rooms are spacious and modern, serviced on request and at your convenience. Excellent breakfast and popular carvery. Will certainly stay here again.

Absolutely filthy room. Manager unwilling to clean or move to another room. BUGS in the bed biting me all night. Stains, pubic hairs, and dead bugs on the bed sheets. Food sucks and far too long of a walk into town. Would never stay at this filthy place again.

Friendly and helpful staff in both the hotel and restaurant and everywhere was clean, however, the mattress and mattress cover on the bed were badly stained which was very off-putting, and the pillows were either lumpy or hard, and definitely needed replacing. The hotel sits on a road junction but there was no problem with noise. Sadly the hotel looks a bit rundown from the outside and we noticed that the window boxes had been left empty, which was a shame because some plants/flowers would have made it look much better cared for. Can't fault the service but definitely lacking in good presentation.

Older property but in good condition. Good sized room at the back which meant it was quiet. Main road at the front could have been noisy in hot weather with windows open. All very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and approachable. We ate in both nights and there was a good choice on the menu and well prepared, Plenty of parking at the rear. 20mins walk to the city wall either by road or partially through a park. We had a couple of minor issues with the shower, the control was very stiff, could not turn it with soapy hands. Also, very slow draining (which was reported when we left). Would definitely return

Lovely clean hotel. Beautiful gardens. All staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with plenty to choose from. Rooms were clean & spacious. Short walk into Canterbury & Canterbury west train station.

The facilities are just ok. It may have been renovated recently but it was done cheaply (tiles glued on tiles in bathroom) and with no attention to detail, it started outdating already. Remote control for TV was very dirty, windows had mould on frames. It wasn’t bad but we definitely will not be staying there again. On the other hand we liked food and staff was really nice. The staff is dedicated to their job. Restaurant is very nicely decorated but toilets in the bar leave a lot to wish for.

Great hotel for a visit to Canterbury, only a 12-minute walk to the city centre. Interior a little bit dated, but clean. Good mattrasses! Very spacious family room with an extra living room. Breakfast was excellent.

Great family-run B&B, within 15-20 minutes walk from Canterbury West Station and the city center. Beds are comfortable, dining options were satisfactory and reasonably priced. Wifi was great, I was able to get some work done in the evening. Would come back again. If I were being picky, the showers could be more powerful!

Reception felt like a working mans club with blokes . That was a shame as the hotel could be good. The 1sr floor room at night was too hot in July. No ac.

A very nice hotel within walking distance of the city. Staff friendly and helpful. The downside for me was that my room was at the front of the hotel facing the main road and roundabout so it was noisy. Apart from that, i would thoroughly recommend it.

Room overlooked garden where there was outdoor seating. We like to sleep with a window ajar, stayed in March so it was empty and very quiet. The rooms are at the back of the property so there was no traffic noise.

The man on the reception desk was not remotely friendly or welcoming. He barely looked up and there was absolutely no pleasantries. The look of distain was even tangible to my son whom notices very little. I myself am a superhost on airbnb so it throughly goes against the grain that we were treated with such indifference. By this point, after a long drive from north Yorkshire, i just said ok. For a few pounds more id stay somewhere else.
The man on the reception desk was not remotely friendly or welcoming. He barely looked up and there was absolutely no pleasantries. The look of distain was even tangible to my son whom notices very little. I myself am a superhost on airbnb so it throughly goes against the grain that we were treated with such indifference. The staff here really are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. I needed a room for a very private call and not only did they allow me use a room but asked did I want to move as it was noisy outside. The waiting staff and everyone are so warm and genuinely friendly. I stay in 5 star hotels for work and put this hotel up there in terms of decor in rooms, cleanliness and customer service

The staff upgraded us half way through our stay as we were up 2 flights of steps and my husband was really struggling. They were absolutely fantastic , always helpful and friendly . The restaraunt was well staffed , clean with lovely food. Nothing was too much trouble , ideal for visiting Canterbury

The whole staff was very helpful and personable, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Tony, who went above and beyond. I called an Uber on my last day, and it kept delaying the arrival time. When I became concerned about missing my train, and a taxi was going to take too long to arrive, Tony took me to the train station himself--talk about going the extra mile! (Also, note that Uber is currently not reliable in Canterbury--hopefully that will change in the future).

The Hotel was in a great location, with free parking. Short walk to Westgate area in Canterbury with great restaurants. Great base to see all of Kent. We spent three nights and the staff were amazing, helpful & friendly. The room was very clean and we had a good night sleep every time. The bathroom was in great condition. We even had a bath as it was so cosy. The best thing about this hotel it comes with an amazing steakhouse / carvery. We even decided to eat there every night for dinner as the food was so good and reasonably priced. The Breakfast was very good and they do perfect poached eggs. They catered and took care in allergens and recommend it for anyone who need to eat gluten free. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a 20 min level walk from the station. If driving by car well sited on major road junction. The hotel has good facilities with a bar and a good menu if you want to eat at the hotel - breakfast is very good value. The staff are very friendly and any issues were sorted with no fuss. The hotel is approximately 20 minutes walk from the centre of Canterbury. The room was well equipped and good value for money. I would recommend the hotel as well worth considering if it meets your requirements of a stay just outside the centre of Canterbury ( a wonderful city to visit)

2 night break, about a 20min walk from city centre. A bit tired but clean. Staff very friendly. Evening meal good and reasonable, Carvery did not look to be that good. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Free car parking reason for choosing this hotel.Would definitely stay again as very reasonably priced and good value.

The room was quiet, clean and spacious. The full english breakfast kept us going all day and there was plenty of choice for every taste. We had the carvery and it was delicious, definitely worth trying. All the staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed during our stay. There us a large car park at the rear of the property. The location was great, we walked into Canterbury within 15 minute. If we beed to return to tue area, we will definitely come back to the Victoria.
The room was quiet, clean and spacious. The full english breakfast kept us going all day and there was plenty of choice for every taste. We had the carvery and it was delicious, definitely worth trying. All the staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed during our stay. There us a large car park at the rear of the property. Room was fine, the bathroom was very clean, the beds were on the hard side. The restaurant was a bit average, my wife and I had the carvery in the evening and it was a bad choice (dry end pieces of meat probably untouched since the lunch service, and school dinner veg). Our son had steak and enjoyed it after a long wait (we had given up eating our carvery by the time his arrived). Otherwise not a bad choice for a visit to Canterbury with the town centre around a 15min walk.

Best breakfast we had in the UK - great selection, try the croissants and yogurts. It gets busy but staff are all on it and friendly. Rooms have been updated, are originally from a time where things were still built sturdy and larger....very welcomed in the UK where rooms tend to be very small. I'll take larger over more "modern" any day! Clear, great cider selection and very nice outdoor back patio-garden area. Walking distance to Canterbury centre. Large, easy parking lot.

Very little to fault, one or two bits could do with a little TLC, but check in was seamless and Staff very helpful. Room was very hot when we arrived, but a fan was ready in our room. Breakfast was served hot and served fresh in good time, I was surprised by the number of Staff for a hotel of this size. Being able to park at the hotel and walk into Town was a great bonus. Will definitely return if in the area.
