The room was great and beds comfortable, lunch was great at bar and grill and breakfast was good too. Only downside is kids in pool till 6pm. We felt like the jacuzzi and stream and sauna were very full around 5pm. Jacuzzi on one side no bubbles but on the other were. Needs an upgrade for sure. Maybe a hydro pool? Staff were friendly and helpful. In all a good stays. Nice to explore the facilities including the kennels and aerodrome and racing circuit. A lot to see in the vicinity so maybe more than one day needed.

Lovely location for a friends meet up. Beds were comfortable and food delicious, especially to the breakfast. Great care was taken to ensure we were well looked off. Pool was very busy with children sadly. So we made use of the hot tub.

Where to start? No information in the room about restaurants or spa. It was available online, but there was no information about wifi. Of the three advertised reataurants only one was open for two of the nights we stayed, which made few concessions to non-carnivores. The hotel pool seems to be public, while a childern's lesson was going on hotel guests had one lane, unusable if there's more than one guest wanting a swim. Spa lockers didn't work. Shampoo and soap wasn't replenished, used wine glasses weren't removed from the room. The room's window didn't open and close properly. Apart from that....

Despite reserving a room with a cot for a baby, we were allocated a room on the first level. There wasn’t a lift so we had to carry our pram up and down the stairs to access the dining and leisure facilities. On the weekend we stayed they were doing essential maintenance on the pool so we only had a few hours of use. However this was communicated to us prior to our arrival so did not come as a surprise. The hotel interiors were average and nothing “wow” factor about them. Our view was also of the car park but others may face slightly better views. The food was the highlight of our stay. We dined in both the Farmer, Butcher & Chef as well as the Goodwood Bar & Grill and enjoyed both occasions. The quality of the meats made the meal. We also visited the motor circuit and aerodrome which are free to explore and was a memorable day out.

Great stay at this hotel. Room was really clean and spacious - we had a garden room with a door to an outside seating area which was great as the sun was out. Pool was nice and clean as were the changing rooms and plenty of towels available poolside. Breakfast was cooked to order if you fancied the cooked breakfast but also plenty of choice from the continental buffet. Would definitely stay here again.

We were somewhat less enthusiastic about Goodwood in August 2024 than the previous summer. Our room (the same one in which we stayed a year ago) was cold and the heating didn't seem effective. The (British grown) tea available in both the rooms and restaurants was completely insipid. The pool is still great, but the hot tub was only warm. The biggest problem was that the restaurant has moved to a new location with a self-consciously forced, early 20th century agricultural theme. The decor just looked old, dirty and tired in our opinion, including chipped enamel teapots and mugs. It isn't clear whom this move was designed for, but it did not appeal to us. Had we wanted shabby decor, we could undoubtedly have found it at cheaper hotels.

The breakfast was excellent! The whole place was very well kept and run by some really helpful staff. The room was top quality with the big let-down being the bed. The mattress was super springy and seemed to be a very old style mattress with springs poking through in places. Every time either my partner or I moved, we woke the other one up as it was like sleeping on a trampoline. To finish on a high note, the leisure facility access was a big plus and it was all really well run by the team. Would definitely consider a stay again if a firm mattress could be provided.

We love the rooms. Large, very Clean and well appointment. food was delicious.Staff very professional, friendly and efficient. Especially at breakfast in the grill. The parking easy facilities all clean and well maintained. The only dissapointing aspect was we were away on a spa break and when we wanted to use pool on Sunday morning it was full of children having lessons and felt more like a leisure centre. Overall very pleased and would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely staff and nice hotel - clean and nice decor. There was a lack of staff on the bar, it was a Saturday evening and we had difficulty ordering food. The restaurant was full . We ordered bar food that took ages to arrive and was of very poor quality and cold .

We would have liked to have given more stars, but on this weekend it seemed the hotel was under staffed. Rooms are apparently cleaned up until 4.00pm. We got back at 2.30 on the first day, our room hadn’t been cleaned and so it wasn’t that day. Also the bath wash was empty and the shower screen wasn’t well fitted, so there was a pool of water on the floor after each shower. On the second day we got back at 3.50pm to find the cleaner still in our room, which isn’t ideal. Why couldn’t rooms be cleaned earlier? It’s a 4 star hotel. On the second morning the staff apologised at breakfast as they had many more people than expected. They’d run out of menus, tables hadn’t been cleaned, food was not being replenished on the buffet and only one of two coffee machines was working, but that kept malfunctioning. We hadn’t been told that there was filter coffee as well?! The staff were helpful and charming, but we felt were really up against it. Disappointing.

Great property, but looking a little “tired” in places. Some window frames need replacing, some carpets look dirty . Staff are very helpful but sometimes the IT infrastructure seems to let the customer down. Last point - the bedrooms need more power outlets to cope with all of the devices that people now want to recharge each day

Great hotel but the rooms are very dated. Hotel feels a bit like a maze. Lower rating given because I booked a room with a baby aged 3 months. They put us on the 1st floor knowing there are no lifts in the hotel so we have to carry a pram up and down, which is super inconvenient especially when the baby was sleeping. Friends of ours who travelled with us for the weekend had no baby and were given a ground floor room even though we were told none were available even though we both booked the same room type. Parking facility is great, the estate itself is excellent.

The hotel is set within beautiful grounds of Goodwood estate and is only 13 minutes drive to Chichester and 20 to Arundel. The rooms are large, comfortable and well maintained and their main restaurant, Farmer Butcher Chef serves delicious food. There is always staff on hand for anything and we have felt well looked after. The only slightly negative thing we found was finding our way to our room - I think the corridors could do with more signs as us and other guests were often wondering down corridors looking for our rooms :-D.
The hotel is set within beautiful grounds of Goodwood estate and is only 13 minutes drive to Chichester and 20 to Arundel. The rooms are large, comfortable and well maintained and their main restaurant, Farmer Butcher Chef serves delicious food. There is always staff on hand for anything and we have felt well looked after. Beautiful room and grounds. A few ants in our bathroom and a bathroom door that was hard to open, but otherwise a good stay. £20 for a glass of house red wine at the bar was a little excessive too. Staff were helpful and loved the pool and location.

We had a really lovely stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was huge and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also amazing, with a huge spread and the ability to order a hot breakfast too.

Nice hotel with good facilities and clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent the food in the restaurant comes from the estate farm but it is expensive for what it is. The staff are friendly and young, and it shows in their training in that they say the right things but then don't always know what to do or seem overwhelmed by the number of people, or the busyness of the restaurant. They need some better training and some visible experienced managers.

Lovely staff and nice hotel - clean and nice decor. There was a lack of staff on the bar, it was a Saturday evening and we had difficulty ordering food. The restaurant was full . We ordered bar food that took ages to arrive and was of very poor quality and cold .

Overall a very nice stay and good value for a family of 4 during the Easter holidays. Lots of kids activities and the kids welcome packs were a nice touch. Also liked that boys had their own (pull out style) beds in our hotel room rather than sharing a sofa bed. Only slight let down was the breakfast service which felt a bit understaffed/disorganised. We waited to be seated, then a long wait to get served (though somehow people who came in got served first). Coffee machine empty, no plates for the buffet - small little things that added up to become a bit frustrating.

We would have liked to have given more stars, but on this weekend it seemed the hotel was under staffed. Rooms are apparently cleaned up until 4.00pm. We got back at 2.30 on the first day, our room hadn’t been cleaned and so it wasn’t that day. Also the bath wash was empty and the shower screen wasn’t well fitted, so there was a pool of water on the floor after each shower. On the second day we got back at 3.50pm to find the cleaner still in our room, which isn’t ideal. Why couldn’t rooms be cleaned earlier? It’s a 4 star hotel. On the second morning the staff apologised at breakfast as they had many more people than expected. They’d run out of menus, tables hadn’t been cleaned, food was not being replenished on the buffet and only one of two coffee machines was working, but that kept malfunctioning. We hadn’t been told that there was filter coffee as well?! The staff were helpful and charming, but we felt were really up against it. Disappointing.

Really enjoyed my stay- welcome was very warming, quick, room ready at the right time Booked a signature room with king bed. Great comfort and facilities and perfect for our stay. Breakfast was as it should be for the Hotel, m terms of choice and quality of food. Very attentive service. Will stay again as it was perfect for racing-free shuttle bus so perfect all round. Excellent for me.

The hotel is set within beautiful grounds of Goodwood estate and is only 13 minutes drive to Chichester and 20 to Arundel. The rooms are large, comfortable and well maintained and their main restaurant, Farmer Butcher Chef serves delicious food. There is always staff on hand for anything and we have felt well looked after. The only slightly negative thing we found was finding our way to our room - I think the corridors could do with more signs as us and other guests were often wondering down corridors looking for our rooms :-D.

All very good but we should have been informed that prior booking in the restaurant was necessary. Even at booking in we were told that it was ‘walk up’ to the restaurant that was actually fully booked. Otherwise all was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at the Goodwood Hotel. The breakfasts were top notch, the room was comfortable, dinner was delicious and the grounds were stunning. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was excellent! The whole place was very well kept and run by some really helpful staff. The room was top quality with the big let-down being the bed. The mattress was super springy and seemed to be a very old style mattress with springs poking through in places. Every time either my partner or I moved, we woke the other one up as it was like sleeping on a trampoline. To finish on a high note, the leisure facility access was a big plus and it was all really well run by the team. Would definitely consider a stay again if a firm mattress could be provided.

We stayed for two nights with our dog. From the moment we arrived at Goodwood we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The room was spacious and well equipped including dog treats and the biggest dog bed I've seen in a hotel room, which our terrier very much enjoyed! The grounds are extensive and ideal for peaceful walks. We enjoyed walking our dog to the Kennels and relaxing there with a drink. One highlight was the Farmer Butcher Chef restaurant. As with the rest of our stay, the service was polite and attentive, dogs were very welcome, and the food was excellent. The quality of the ingredients was evident along with the chef's ability to create beautiful tasty food with local produce.

Helpful staff - we were initially allocated a room with a view of a brick wall, despite having requested in the booking a room with a view. The Front of House representative quickly found us another room with a more pleasant view. Parking was easy, the room was quiet (also as requested) and the on-site amenities were very good. The pool and spa area was clean and well maintained.

Limited information given on arrival. Pool facilities was more like a leisure centre due to children’s swimming lessons which we were not made aware of. We were also not made aware until day of arrival that only one restaurant was available due to a wedding function in the other. Dogs in the restaurant was also a shock especially when owners think everyone loves their pet as much as they do!! Hotel was tired in places which didn’t represent good value for money. We were also surprised that breakfast was not included for the price we paid. There are a lot better value for money options in the area. Had the information of swimming lessons and a restaurant unavailable been advised earlier we would not have booked.
