Absolutely fantastic hotel, it’s in a great location, close to the bars, restaurants and the beautiful beaches. Angelo walked down the steps and met us literally as we pulled outside the hotel and he was exceptional throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble for him. Another big shoutout for Kitykah (apologies if I’ve spelt it wrong) again she was awesome and nothing but nothing was to much trouble!!? The only downside was having to pay €30 per day to park the car, I’ve paid less in London! And also having to pay to use the pool and beach! Strangling to me as I’ve never had to do this before as a paying guest at the hotel!! All things aside, a wonderful week away and a huge thank you to Angelo and Kitykah x

The room towels were shabby. The breakfast buffet was diabolical. Poor choice selection. The swimming pool was over the road on the beach & it was only small & had a pond liner in it, at a charge of €30 euros per room per day & the beach towels supplied were not much bigger than a tea towel. Hotel was in a great location right across the street from the water. Many great restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. Private beach club entry $40 per room was very convenient across the street and gave you access to beach, lounge chair and umbrella. Breakfast was plentiful & lovely. Angelo is an absolute gem…he helped us with luggage, parked our car and made us smile every time we saw him… a truly amazing person! Maiori is a very convenient spot to access the Amalfi Coast without the crazy touristy feel.

The owner of the hotel was super friendly. We arrived early in the morning from overnight travel from the USA. My daughter had motion and attitude sickness, and the owner gave us a room to sleep in until ours was ready. Excellent customer service! The Junior Suite was large, up to date, and looked better than the picture. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. We enjoyed our stay, and I would recommend this hotel. It is very convenient to the ferry to visit other islands. All the decor was pretty and tasteful done. The pool and beach club are across the street and not up to date like American Hotels, but the view and location are excellent.

Vi fick ett rum som hade otrolig mycket myror i sig vilket inte var så trevligt. Bra balkonger med havsutsikt på övre våningarna. Framgick inte så bra i informationen att den privata stranden och poolen kostar 40€ per dag per rum. Hissen skulle behöva en renovering så den stannad några gånger. Hotel San Francesco was superb! Appears completely refurbished and freshly painted, tile all updated and restored in all entryways and bathrooms. As it was pouring rain when we arrived, our greeter, Angelo, came out to our rental car with an umbrella to escort my wife and I to reception. This hotel has its own private beach, many folding lounge chairs, and a beachfront bar around a small pool. And of course, after the rain quit, Angelo, also our valet, porter, host and greeter-exceptional, served us drinks at the pool bar… outstanding day after all the hairpin turns!

We really enjoyed our stay in Maiori, the hotel was located in a convenient location and the room was clean. What we did not like was the misinformation that was shared in the Expedia app. The hotel amenities on the app includes a pool and beach club access but there is no mention of an additional cost or surcharge. The hotel staff did give us one complimentary day at the beach club but we had to request it. The other day of our stay did cost us 40€ each day if we wanted to use the beach or pool.

Such a beautiful stay if you’re wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast. After a lot of research, I discovered Positano was super expensive for accommodation, however, in Maiori, where Hotel San Francesco is, its conveniently located a short ferry ride away from Positano, Amalfi, and Minori, with ferries running throughout the day/early evening. The area itself in Maiori really suprised both myself and my partner, we had little expectations but they were exceeded. It’s got such a nice atmosphere both day and night. The hotel we couldn’t fault, from a warm greeting on arrival, all super helpful staff, truly couldn’t fault them. The room we had was a superior double room with a sea view, which was spotless. The balcony was lovely to relax on at night/ early morning. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options from eggs, to pastries, fruit etc. We had a 2 night stay, and after a long 3 days of travelling in Rome, we fancied a day of relaxing. We were told we could have access to the pool / beach through their beach club, this was €40 and I believe would be applied to the days you stayed (aka we could have used it for the 2 days stay). This was clean, private and relaxing. Also, lots of lovely restaurants in the area with great atmosphere, so you won’t struggle to find anywhere to eat We will definitely return if we ever re-visit the Amalfi coast 🌊🐠 If the review doesn’t already suggest this, don’t hesitate to book the Hotel San Francesco!

Overall, the property is located in a central area, just steps away from the main avenue. The neighborhood is quite peaceful (there is hardly any activity or people around during the day, likely due to the low season). However, I believe the hotel could be in better condition. Room cleanliness needs improvement, as there were stains on the sheets and mold in the shower. Additionally, there was no soap or shampoo provided. Finally, the pool is nonexistent. I do not have enough great things to say about this property. The staff is pleasant and so helpful; they helped us book our taxi back to the Naples airport at the end of the trip for a reasonable price. They cleaned our room and brought new towels daily. The breakfast provided each morning was fantastic and it was so convenient that we didn't need to buy that one meal every day of our trip (not that food in the area was necessarily expensive at all). Having the beach so close to the hotel was fantastic, and the beach crew were so kind as well. My friend and I felt so taken care of by a professional, helpful, and pleasant hotel staff here at Hotel San Francesco and I will continue to come back to this place for the rest of my life. 10/10 would recommend. We had a junior suite with view, lovely big clean room. The bed very hard and we had trouble sleeping. The breakfast okay the coffee not the best I have had in Italy. The San Francesco is a great property, I recommend the ocean view rooms 3rd floor or above. Our room was large and the bathroom and shower was wonderful. The Hotel San Francesco is a beautiful property located across the main drive in Maiori from the bay. Our room was large and the bathroom and shower were fantastic. I would suggest a room with view of the Mediterranean Sea on the 3rd floor or higher. The staff are professional and friendly and there are many excellent restaurants in walking distance. The main beach view street in Maiori is absolutely charming and the water taxi service to Amalfi is super fun and runs like clockwork. We highly recommend this property and the location.

Had an amazing stay! The check-in process was quick and I must say definitely splurge on a balcony ocean view if you can. I originally booked a standard room (which I wasn't feeling after I checked in) but I was able to upgrade and they allow you to see the rooms available before you make a decision. I had a spacious room with 2 large balconies, each with a stunning view of the ocean front. The breakfast is from 7:30am-10:00am AND YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS! The options were amazing and the staff was truly the best. Makesure to ask for the San Francesco omelette. Literally a 4 minute walk to the Maiori ferry station which you can catch a ferry to literally anywhere on the coast. Getting to the hotel was fairly easy. Take the Frecciarossa to Salerno, and you can take the bus which was about 3 euros but not recommended if you get car sick with the windy roads. The ferry is faster option.

Unsere Zimmertür ging auch die Karte nicht zum öffnen und mussten dies mit dem Schlüssel öffnen. Im Badezimmer hatte es ein Fenster ohne Vorhang, das diejenigen wohnhaften Mietere von vis a vis sogar reinschauen können. Preisleistung nicht dementsprechend. Die Rezeption schön. Ansonsten die Gegend und Meer angenehm.

Where to begin!? The property is gorgeous and conveniently located; right across from a beautiful beach, a short walk to the ferry/bus stops, and just a few more minutes walk to neighbouring Minori (also an easy bus/ferry ride to all the other popular towns along the Amalfi Coast) The breakfast was wonderful and the attending staff were so warm and friendly even in the earliest of hours! Check in was a breeze and our room was beautiful and spacious. We were a little disappointed we didn’t get a room on a higher floor, but there was a little mix up communication-wise and the front desk attendants were trying their best to accommodate us. The star of our trip was Angelo, from the moment we got there till the minute we left, he went above and beyond to ensure he made us feel like absolute VIPs. We can’t sing his praises enough! Hotel San Francesco and the town of Maiori will forever hold a special place in our hearts. It all felt like a second home in paradise and we can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is a must. It came highly recommended by a friend and I can see why. The staff was so helpful and even transported us to nearby restaurants and came to pick us up when we finished. The rooms are great with views of the ocean and nice patio balcony in the room! We had coffee and wine on our balcony starting the first day. It was my Birthday that day and we had dinner at the restaurant, when our server found out they bought me a cake and sing me a happy birthday. We had a great stay. Loved the balconies, excellent breakfast on nice outdoor terrace and a small bar where you can grab a limoncello to finish out the evening. Easy walking to many restaurants and close walk to the ferries which go up and down Amalfi coast making touring other towns easy. The hotel beach club was nice as well.

Having the beach so close to the hotel was fantastic, and the beach crew were so kind as well. My friend and I felt so taken care of by a professional, helpful, and pleasant hotel staff here at Hotel San Francesco and I will continue to come back to this place for the rest of my life. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Hotel San Francesco!!!

Ottima posizione.Disponibilità di parcheggio in garage.Gentilezza di tutto il personale.Ottima organizzazione per usufuire della spiaggia e a basso costo.Ottimo ristorante con cheff molto cordiale e sempre disponibile.Tornerò con piacere, ma questa volta con i miei barboncini, visto che sono fortunatamente ammessi.Consigliabile, senza nessuna esitazione.

Incredible staff - friendly, professional and courteous. Hotel is immaculate. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment.

We had a junior suite with view, lovely big clean room. The bed very hard and we had trouble sleeping. The breakfast okay the coffee not the best I have had in Italy. The staff at breakfast wonderful. The room could use some little extras like lotion, free water, and the back of the headboard stained and looked dirty.
