Overall ok. I would stay here again. Great location. Air conditioning wasn’t working properly and went on for 2minutes then off continuously. Ear plugs did the trick. Door lock broken, safe inoperable. Excellent maid service. Pool was great. Restaurant ok. I think I just ordered the wrong thing.

Pro’s - The restaurant is currently staffed by a Michelin star chef. Dinner was outstanding. By far the best meal we have had in our travels through Europe. Staff easy going, friendly and helpfull. Swimming pool is nice with full bar service available. Room is older styled, but functional, spaceous & clean. Con’s - None regarding the hotel. The “free to public” beach across the road is rather small, with most of the beach being taken up by private beach club which was impossible to enter. As Australians we just don’t understand why private beaches are allowed.

Hotel ben organizzato e con un buon ristorante. Piacevole la piscina. Unica pecca non avere la spiaggia privata di fronte. Una delle due spiaggiò private convenzionate si trova comunque a breve distanza di cammino.

Bella la struttura, puita e in posizione ottima. Mi ha favorevolmente colpito la gentilezza, professionalita' e disponibilita' del personale alla reception, in sala come ai piani. Buona la colazione e molto piacevole la piscina.

Older hotel but well maintained, shows the signs of old glory. Excellent breakfast, food was really fresh and lots of healthy options. Staff on the most part was very helpful. The views from our room were tremendous. Had dinner in the hotel once, service was excellent but food was just okay. Lots of excellent food options including delicious thin crust pizza in the area. Some of the negatives are the lack of private beach next to the hotel. They charged us extra for it to drive us to the beach which was rocky and dirty and definitely not as nice as the public beach right in front of the hotel. After 2 days there we just stayed on the public beach and had a wonderful time there. P.S. Shower needs to be changed. Would stay there again.

Lovely grand old hotel on the surface. Staff were friendly and helpful most of the time. Very clean, nice large bathroom and comfy bed. However, there were a couple of things which would have really improved my stay at the hotel. We booked a superior double room. There was nothing superior about this room, I would describe it as basic. There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room, no complimentary bottles of water. The plug sockets did not fit our European plug adaptors. We could only charge our phones in the sockets in the dining room on the first day! We asked at the desk on the first evening and staff could only suggest we try the bathroom socket to charge our phones? This did not work. I couldn’t use my hair straighteners in the morning and went to ask at the desk for advice on where I could buy an adaptor. This time a different receptionist gave me an adaptor which she instantly produced from behind the desk! A sign for guests in the room advising guests to ask if they needed an adaptor would be useful. Our visit was the last week in October which is the end of the season but there was no outside space available to sit anywhere at the hotel. There are no balconies or terraces with rooms and the pool area was closed off. The weather was mild and sunny and I asked if there was anywhere I could sit and relax outside. The hotel beach was closed. Arenzano is a lovely quiet relaxing place but I would not stay at this hotel again.

Direi tutto quasi perfetto; le ragazze della reception sono gentilissime e cordiali, idem le signore che sistemano le stanze. L’albergo è un 4 stelle…nulla in contrario. Unica pecca, se di pecca si vuol parlare, è l’area spa…non mi aspettavo di trovare il “passaggio” di chi, prima di me, aveva usufruito della stessa…acqua ovunque intorno alla vasca idromassaggio…non mi ha dato il senso di “pulizia” che mi aspettavo. Comunque, consigliato assolutamente.

The location is very good right at the coast line but the road in between the hotel and the beach is pretty busy so even though you have a sea view room as we had you will be able to enjoy the sound of the sea only during night hours starting from around midnight till around 5 am. The staff is very friendly and will park your vehicle serving as a valet parking. The breakfast is also very good especially bread such as bruschetta. Even though the hotel itself is not new and you can see its age in some details the rooms are very clean and comfortable as well as the cleaning service is working well! Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel!

Camere da poco rinnovate, ambienti comuni carini, da rinnovare corridoi e ascensori. Personale molto cortese, zona centrale con negozi e ristoranti e a due passi dal lungo mare e parcheggio comodissimo. Ci hanno anche permesso di lasciare la macchina prima del check-in e dopo il check-out! Torneremo sicuramente. Unico neo: ognitanto si sente odore di fogna.

La nostra camera, piccola per un quattro stelle, non aveva vista mare e sarebbe stato bello poter scegliere. Ok bagno cieco ma almeno la ventola. Insonorizzazione da migliorare. Personale MOLTO gentile. Ottima la colazione e l’accoglienza.

Hotel and area photos are from several years ago when all the palm trees were in their glory. Hotel itself was surely “grand” at some time, but has definitely declined. Personale gentilissimo, nessuna sbavatura, e’ sicuramente la nota migliore della struttura La camera adeguata, unica pecca e non avere l ascensore fino al piano ma bisogna fare una rampa di scale a piedi (cosa non segnalata) e comunque poco elegante se poi si chiama suite la stanza. Il fatto che gli animali siano ammessi ma non possono andare in sala colazione un po’ mi fa storcere il naso. Se si vuole essere pet friendly bisogna esserlo fino in fondo. Per il resto tutto bene

The hotel is in a good location between town and beach(s) with many restaurants to choose from within easy reach. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful! Comfortable clean rooms. We spent most of our days at the beach but really enjoyed having convenient access to the pool for a quick dip before preparing for dinner. No hassle having my electric (ev) charged during our stay. Breakfast was very good with a large and tasty choice. I especially enjoyed being able to boil eggs myself to my own exact timing. All in all our needs were met for a very romantic weekend

Struttura grandissima nel centro dell'abitato di Arenzano. Le camere sono abbastanza pulite, ma confortevoli e spaziose. Il personale alla reception o al ristorante è cortese e gentile. La colazione è superlativa, e si può torvare dalla frutta ai croissant, dal salato al dolce, dai cereali con lo yogurt al bacon caldo. It was a very nice stay and we will come again. Big advantage is it's location. Everything is close by and Arenzano ist the nearest town at the mediterian see from Switzerland and is well accessable via the highway.

The view of the sunrise over the ocean was gorgeous from my room! The breakfast was so delicious- the apricot tart-wow! The bed was comfy, lots of pillows, black out curtains, very friendly desk personnel- free shuttle to train in morning. Only wish I had gotten a train from the train to the hotel the night before. But beware, it is an hour from Genoa by train and over two hours from Portofine.

We hat a wonderful stay at the hotel. The hotel is in the city center and it's only a few steps to the shops and restaurants. They offer umbrellas and sun chairs at a private beach in a bay 5 mins walking distance from the hotel. Unfortunately you hear traffic noise from the street in front of the hotel if you want to sleep with open windows.

The location is very good right at the coast line but the road in between the hotel and the beach is pretty busy so even though you have a sea view room as we had you will be able to enjoy the sound of the sea only during night hours starting from around midnight till around 5 am. The staff is very friendly and will park your vehicle serving as a valet parking. The breakfast is also very good especially bread such as bruschetta. Even though the hotel itself is not new and you can see its age in some details the rooms are very clean and comfortable as well as the cleaning service is working well! Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel!

Pro’s - The restaurant is currently staffed by a Michelin star chef. Dinner was outstanding. By far the best meal we have had in our travels through Europe. Staff easy going, friendly and helpfull. Swimming pool is nice with full bar service available. Room is older styled, but functional, spaceous & clean. Con’s - None regarding the hotel. The “free to public” beach across the road is rather small, with most of the beach being taken up by private beach club which was impossible to enter. As Australians we just don’t understand why private beaches are allowed.

Older hotel but well maintained, shows the signs of old glory. Excellent breakfast, food was really fresh and lots of healthy options. Staff on the most part was very helpful. The views from our room were tremendous. Had dinner in the hotel once, service was excellent but food was just okay. Lots of excellent food options including delicious thin crust pizza in the area. Some of the negatives are the lack of private beach next to the hotel. They charged us extra for it to drive us to the beach which was rocky and dirty and definitely not as nice as the public beach right in front of the hotel. After 2 days there we just stayed on the public beach and had a wonderful time there. P.S. Shower needs to be changed. Would stay there again.

Everything great, except small things - like only one coffee machine for breakfast for quite a number of guests, no tops for tea pots - gets cold quicker - but these are minor. Our evening dinner was OK-ish. However, overall a good stay. Nice location.

Fabulous luxury hotel with great vibe and friendly staff. The breakfast choice is amazing and it was peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. The room was a little snaller than expected but it had a comfortsble double bed and everything I needed. I travel onbusiness frequently and am not easily impressed. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel

Things I liked - the pool, the location and the breakfast which had a good variety of food and lots of fresh fruit. Things I think they could improve - the hotel looks tired and needs some love. The air-conditioning in my room was not very strong and the gym was terrible - it is tiny, did not have air-conditioning that worked and there was not even 1 set of dumb-bells or weights, I left it frustrated.

We really love our stay. Great location on the beach with a huge pool, clean non cramped room with a great view. The restaurant had a very good selection at the continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful by watching our bags when we arrived before check in time. The location is perfect. There are lots of great restaurants and a big market within walking distance. My only personal wish would be that I wish the pillows had a little more support / structure for how firm the bed was.

Very convenient location. 5-10 minute walk to the park or the old town. The old town was very enjoyable Parking at the hotel cost 15 euro and was good. Breakfast was very good. Our room overlooked the sea and promenade. One problem was the air conditioning barely worked at all in our room. Fortunately we could open the windows and get some air.
