Belvedere Hotel

Tres belle bâtisse de caractère, quartier et rue tres sympas pour cette zone de Londres. Propre et produits à disposition. Au vu du caractère de la propriété et du faible prix, ce n’est naturellement pas neuf et nickel. Mais lits et draps confortables, rue calme et grandes fenêtres, bâtisse magnifique et produits à disposition (savon, shampoing). Il y a un accueil 24/24 ce qui est pratique et rare sur les hotels de ce prix

I'll be honest — I was surprised by the positive reviews mentioning cleanliness, because our experience was the complete opposite. The carpets were filthy, with mystery stains throughout and an overall look that suggested they hadn't seen a proper clean in years. It was genuinely difficult to relax in the room. What made it worse was the complete lack of care from the staff. We arrived late at night, exhausted, with luggage and a sleeping toddler in our arms. The receptionist didn't move from his chair — not even to acknowledge our situation. No offer of help, no warmth, nothing. We then had to haul everything up two flights of stairs with no elevator available. With a small child it was an ordeal that should never have been left entirely to us. The next morning we checked out as early as we possibly could. We had a second night booked but the place was simply too dirty to stay another night. When we told the receptionist, he didn't look up from his desk, offered no apology, no attempt to make it right — just an "oh, okay." He clearly already knew the state of the place. There are no redeeming qualities I can point to. Location, comfort, cleanliness, service — none of it met even a basic standard. We won't be returning, and I'd strongly advise families in particular to look elsewhere.
