Great room with sea view, lovely hotel with lift and good buffet breakfast, close to all pubs and restaurants

Staff was very helpful. The hotel itself needs some updating. Rooms were roomy. Parking is minimal, about 10 spaces in front and about 10 behind the building. Breakfast was minimal and standard for UK. Great location though.

Very good stay, parking although available was very limited. Had been led to believe that there was more availability when I telephoned prior to booking. However ample car park spaces not too far away

Our stay went well after finally finding the hotel. The picture in the ad is extremely misleading. The Atlantic Hotel is in the middle of a busy street and we had to call the desk about parking as none was available on the street. Parking lot is through an alley behind the building. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant dinner was very good!

Lovely stay, hotel very clean and staff friendly. Restaurant closed for evening meal with refurbish but this is temporary and overall really enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is so well placed in the heart of Portrush and could/should be doing more to take advantage of that. It is a modern hotel but is already looking a bit tired in places and could do with a revamp, particularly the bedrooms. We had a room to the rear of the hotel, which was okay, but there were significant noise issues from the entry/street throughout the night. The king size bed was not the most comfortable, tbh. Our electronic room key cards were annoyingly temperamental, only working occasionally, which meant looking for staff to open our door on 3 separate occasions! The breakfast was pretty standard fare, the bar was pretty lifeless in the evenings, and parking outside was at a bit of a premium. Okay for a night or so, but could be so much better!

A modern hotel in the town centre, pleasant to stay in. The on-street parking outside is free except in July and August. It made a good stop-off for us coming from a Donegal holiday and wanting to be nearer to Larne for the ferry next day.

Bar area was really the same area as the breakfast buffet. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful,

The dining options were very limited in the area. The bed was supposed to be a King but seemed more like a Queen size. The restaurant inside the hotel had a very limited menu. I would have liked to have had some dining suggestions from the staff.

Room clean enough with power next to bed. Bath / shower combo not ideal. Hotel didn't inform that it wasn't doing food until arrival.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient, and the breakfast tasty and plentiful. The best part though is the shower! Seriously, the shower is one of the top five showers I’ve ever taken in my life, and I’m not young. It had plentiful hot water with amazing water pressure. I could’ve stayed in that shower forever! I’ll dream about that wonderful shower long after my vacation is over. I wish I could get that kind of water pressure in my shower at home. I could go on, but suffice it to say, if I ever return to Portrush, I’ll definitely be staying at this lovely hotel!

The hotel staff were wonderful and provided everything I needed during my stay. The hotel room itself was dated and worn. The towels and bedding were stained. The lighting was dim and the bathroom was dirty.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was spotless . 4* quality at 3* prices

The hotel is very old so I didn't expect it to be in pristine condition but it wasn't the cleanest, there was a crack in the sink and the window in our room had been left open so there was a lot of flies both dead and alive in the room. It was still an alright place to stay but I will say, I'm very pleased with the detail to food allergens, we were both gluten free and for breakfast the next morning the staff detailed everything we could have and they even had separate unltensils for handling the food, they even had a selection of GF toast, cereals and sausages! Amazingly done, best that I have been to! They view outside to the sea was incredible as well.

The food was very good 5star for the food but when we asked about sunday lunch we were told there was no lunch due to a cruise ship stopping in with all on board . The shower head wash dirty plus the fan never worked in the bathroom . Bed was made with the tv romote in the bed so the quilt wasn't shaken also we stay 3 nights and the bed was not changed in that time . Also outside around the front of the Hotel was discussing with the summer seat were green from moss plus dirty cigarette butts lying all over the outside seating area. The switches in corridor area was left switch on it would only take a child to put there finger in and they would get shock from it no happy with the sunday lunch we had to make arrangements to get lunch in another hotel .

The room was beautiful, spotless and up to date. The reception staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

For what I paid for the night was okay. Had I of paid more I wouldn't have been happy. The bathroom had mould and looked grubby around the bath, taps and tiles. They need either replaced or given a good scrub..I had a bath and couldn't get the hot tap to turn off. Eventually after alot of effort I finally got it off before it started to over flow. The TV is just basic and mine had a blue lie running down the side of it which was very annoying trying to watch the channels. I think this day and age a Smart TV wouldn't be an expensive thing to buy. The room itself was clean and bedding very fresh.

Overnight stay. Hotel very run down, torn seats in restaurants, rooms very basic and stains on carpets. Location is the only positive. Hotel needs a massive upgrade.

Beautiful rooms, kind staff and comfy beds. What's not more to love? Only reason I'm giving four stars on the amenities is due to the fact that there is only ONE outlet in the entire room. I was in a King and Single. Good thing I was alone! I could only charge my phone overnight and not my camera battery... And the darn outlet wasn't even beside the bed or near the nightstand. It was behind the tv. .. For me that's a big problem. Other than that I'd definitely stay again!

Great spot for a few days away, we had a sea view room which had recently been upgraded, location was excellent.

Great location, rooms and restaurant uncomfortably hot. No ac and no airflow at all. Tiny fan in the room did nothing to help.

Wonderful stay right near the water in Portrush. Convenient to walk to local sights and restaurants. Comfy room, with lovely sea view

Staff were all very friendly and efficient. The room(sea view king room.. 122)was very tired looking, in need of a refurbish but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had everything you'd need for your stay. The only downside to our stay was our room was situated opposite the lift and corridor doors so everytime people were coming or going we'd hear the doors shut with a bang which went on well into the early hours(3am)

As always, this was my favourite place to stay during my trip. Canadian/Irish citizen, moving to Portrush, so having a place to get to know the area that's right in town is essential. The renovations are incredibly well done and the new beds are the coziest mattresses I've ever slept on. The staff, top notch. Super friendly and helpful. I was so tired checking in, I left my luggage beside the reception. Within seconds of entering my room, someone was at the door. With my bags and a huge smile. Thank you greatly Portrush Atlantic. I want to apply to work here!

This is an older property and it shows. The rooms are outdated and the lighting is poor. Also, the only fresh air came from a small window that only cracked open a couple inches. Also, we needed help figuring out how to flush the archaic toilets. We were also on our own to find parking, and luckily located a spot on the street. On the plus size, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good.

Room was exactly as expected, clean and comfy with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would have preferred a shower only rather than a shower over bath but perfectly adequate for our two night stay. Parking satisfactory and had handy access to hotel. Check-in was fast by friendly and efficient staff. We were in room 318 easily accessed from the lift, room had a nice sea view out towards the Skerries. Tea and coffee making facilities in room were adequate and well stocked. Hotel is well positioned to take in the best of what not only Portrush has to offer but also to explore the whole of the North Coast. Our only real gripe was that the service in the restaurant was poor the evening we went for an evening meal with friends. After ordering for 8 of us, waiter returned to tell us 5 of the mains were unavailable as there was no chicken breast left, reordering done, soon food started to arrive at the table but not everyones food was arriving at the same time. Guests served initially were left sitting waiting on others being served for at least 10 minutes. The waiter returned to tell one of our party that there was no mashed potato left to accompany their cod! Overall this was very shabby as people had to eat their meals while others waited to be served. On the whole we enjoyed our stay at the hotel but would skip using the restaurant again as Portrush and surrounding areas has a plethora of great eating places.

Portrush Atlantic Hotel is a expensive, overpriced hotel. The hotel appears worn and with poor maintenance. The service was polite but not service minded. The breakfast was simple, and with very little choice. The price for the room was almost double what we paid for similar rooms in Belfast and Derry. In summary: Save your money and stay at another hotel instead.

Hotel is close to multiple restaurants and pubs, very affordable for the area and located right on the main road (although still quiet). The breakfast was amazing and our view of the water was beautiful. We’d stay there again.

Delightful room, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, relaxing, the perfect getaway. Close to the train station for outings elsewhere, and very nicely located in Portrush. Great views and sea walks from the front door!

Hotel in the heart of scenic village, lovely aspect, harbour, trails and beaches. Easy to explore The Giant’s Causeway and to feel right at home. The restaurant was spacious, efficient and the food was splendid! Hotel and restaurant staff were super! Loved every minute!

So near the beach and lovely walks, and lots of great food and places to eat
