Beautiful renovated older house in a good area for exploring Lunenburg and surrounding area. Lovely hosts providing a wonderful breakfast that keeps you going all day. Home baking an added bonus. Bed was comfortable and bathroom freshly renovated. Will definitely stay again.

I was assigned the Victoria Room in this B&B that is under renovations. The hosts are very nice and quite chatty. I found the entire breakfast to be outstanding, with the banana bread, sausages and coffee as the stars of the breakfast! My room was cozy, and it had all the amenities that one needs. The waterfront where the tall ships dock was only a 10-minute walk from the B&B and there is a local pub a block away. I would highly recommend the Rose & Thistle Bed & Breakfast who want to experience such a friendly and welcoming environment.

This is a beautiful old house that is being renewed with love. Rose and George have done a wonderful job of renovating their home but still trying to keep the overall character of the house. Though we didn't have much interaction until the next morning, Rose and George are pleasant and funny. I wish we had gotten in earlier to have been able to visit more.

As lovely a B&B as the lovely town Lunenburg, in which Rose & Thistle is located 💐 Friendly & knowledgeable owners and staff, delicious breakfast, walking distance from tourist/downtown area, interesting library in the beautiful home. Stay at R&T. You’ll be very happy you did!!

This is a relatively new bed and breakfast and the house is still under construction at the side and rear of the house. It doesn't affect the rooms guests are staying in but is something to be aware of. Some smaller touches are still being refined but the effort is above and beyond. The hosts are both very warm and friendly and conversational as were other guests. It's a smaller location but close to the Lunenburg historical area and has plenty of parking for the number of guests. We had a nice stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rose & Thistle!! Our room was clean, spacious and bed comfortable. Location was perfect for walking to and from town for sight seeing or dinner and The hosts were both lovely! Would definitely stay here again.

We had an absolutely excellent stay at The Rose & Thistle Bed and Breakfast in Lunenburg. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel so welcome… warm, friendly, and attentive. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra comfortable. Breakfast was truly a highlight. Each morning started with fresh berries and yogurt, alongside homemade scones and banana bread. Then came a hot breakfast with delicious egg soufflés, perfectly cooked bacon, toast, fresh orange juice, and plenty of coffee and tea. Everything was crafted with care and absolutely delicious. On our last day, we had to hit the road early and Rose even packed us a breakfast to go… such a thoughtful, above-and-beyond gesture. It’s rare to find a place that feels both like a retreat and like home, but The Rose & Thistle manages to be both. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lunenburg!

This is a special place to stay. Rose and George are excellent, personable hosts. The room was perfect, and breakfast the next day was sumptuous. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Lunenburg.

Most unwelcoming with him demanding payment the moment we stepped inside. At breakfast he sat showing pictures on his laptop and coughed constantly and although she was pleasant enough, we couldn’t get out fast enough.

Rose and George were fantastic hosts. They were very hospitable and fed us delicious breakfasts. We stayed at their home in Lunenburg for two nights and would stay there again if we're back. They treated us like royalty!

Very nice BnB. Friendly owners. Home is very nice and well situated (only 7 minutes walk from main attractions). Very well furnished with quality products. And the breakfast is just amazing. Would recommend 100%.

I was assigned the Victoria Room in this B&B that is under renovations. The hosts are very nice and quite chatty. I found the entire breakfast to be outstanding, with the banana bread, sausages and coffee as the stars of the breakfast! My room was cozy, and it had all the amenities that one needs. The waterfront where the tall ships dock was only a 10-minute walk from the B&B and there is a local pub a block away. I would highly recommend the Rose & Thistle Bed & Breakfast who want to experience such a friendly and welcoming environment.

As lovely a B&B as the lovely town Lunenburg, in which Rose & Thistle is located 💐 Friendly & knowledgeable owners and staff, delicious breakfast, walking distance from tourist/downtown area, interesting library in the beautiful home. Stay at R&T. You’ll be very happy you did!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rose & Thistle!! Our room was clean, spacious and bed comfortable. Location was perfect for walking to and from town for sight seeing or dinner and The hosts were both lovely! Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice BnB. Friendly owners. Home is very nice and well situated (only 7 minutes walk from main attractions). Very well furnished with quality products. And the breakfast is just amazing. Would recommend 100%.

This is a special place to stay. Rose and George are excellent, personable hosts. The room was perfect, and breakfast the next day was sumptuous. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Lunenburg.

We had an absolutely excellent stay at The Rose & Thistle Bed and Breakfast in Lunenburg. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel so welcome… warm, friendly, and attentive. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra comfortable. Breakfast was truly a highlight. Each morning started with fresh berries and yogurt, alongside homemade scones and banana bread. Then came a hot breakfast with delicious egg soufflés, perfectly cooked bacon, toast, fresh orange juice, and plenty of coffee and tea. Everything was crafted with care and absolutely delicious. On our last day, we had to hit the road early and Rose even packed us a breakfast to go… such a thoughtful, above-and-beyond gesture. It’s rare to find a place that feels both like a retreat and like home, but The Rose & Thistle manages to be both. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lunenburg!

As other travellers have mentioned the current owners Rosalie and George have spent 5 years renovating this property. There are 3 rooms on the second floor, one has its own balcony. All the rooms provide excellent accommodation. The living room area is available for guests to use and spend time. The breakfast is second to own, all the dishes are made early in the morning as well as homemade scones and other treats. The owners are available to answers any questions about the area. I hope to make it back there one day and take advantage of their hospitality and their breakfast. We stayed at 7 places in our Maritime trip and this property was our favourite by far. Lunenburg is great community and Rosalie and George back it that much better.

We had a excellent stay here,house is very nice, it is in a good location and only short walk to town. Nice and clean and give you everything you need. The breakfast was awesome, home baked pastries and hot meal.The owners are very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay here again.
