Unkept parking lot, non- working televisions, limited power outlets, non-working hair dryer, bees in atrium where breakfast was served, old heating system was loud, etc. Not worth the cost of the stay and when issues were brought to the front desk’s attention, no adjustments were made. Power outage during the night and no notifications were made to guests informing them of the issues.

Enjoyed the location, easy to walk to downtown to shop and eat. We had a nice upstairs corner room, very spacious. Free parking was a bonus. Our only disappointment was the Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel- the food was not good and service was poor.

Really cute hotel that was kept clean. Parking was a little tough, but the mattress and pillow were hard AF. Could feel the springs in the bed, super uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel is within earshot of the nearby train.

Great location, lovely setting neat the mission. Short walk to downtown and many dining options. Unfortunately, a concert at the fairgrounds several blocks away was very loud. Quieter in the room but could still hear the bass. Parking was also a challenge.

Despite using the AC, the room was damp, smelled of mold/mildew, there was mold in the shower/tub, it was terrible. Our luggage was 2 lbs heavier going home because everything was damp from just being in the room.

Attractive Santa Barbara style facility with an attached Mexican restaurant that was quite good. Our room could have certainly been cleaner. There was what looked like mold on the shower ceiling and urine on the toilet base. Always travel with disinfectant wipes.

The property is beautiful. A bit old and needs attention. Mattress was awful , smelly and old. Black mold in the shower that was painted over. The front desk staff not friendly, housekeepers aren’t friendly either. (At least not this week (8/4th) the breakfast isn’t really breakfast so don’t expect anything fancy at all. It is a lovely hacienda style and if that stuff doesn’t bother you than don’t worry.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property to anybody. Our room was riddled with black mold all throughout the bathroom. I couldn’t figure out what the smell was until the morning time. But after I woke up and entered in daylight, you could see the black mold everywhere. The room is also very filthy. The microwave stained and unkempt. A cigarette butt in the door jam outside. The bed sink in the middle. Just could not rest unfortunately. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Beds were very very comfortable! We actually had a fire place in our room which was really cool! The breakfast in the morning was good the waffle maker was very easy to use and quite delish! We will be staying here again!

Amazing location. Hotel is conveniently located right in front of the Buenaventura Mission. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is included. Parking is free, but limited. Building is outdated, but charming. The beds are super uncomfortable. I felt like i was laying on cardboard and was unable to get a goodnight sleep during our stay.

Krystin (I think) at the front desk was very lively and fun. She gave us dinner recommendations and made checking in a delight. The only complaint I have was the toilet and shower were very low and not made for anyone over five feet tall

Only got to stay one night, but we would stay here again. The room was nice and the hotel itself was walking distance to most everything. The only minor thing was the overhead light on the balcony does not shut off at night whatsoever. We would have liked to turn that off.

Nice enough hotel. My only complaint… they don’t turn the lights off on your balcony and the drapes don’t cover the windows/slider completely so it was shining brightly in my room all night. I asked if they could be turned off and they said no. It really impacted my sleep.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. The view from our balcony was wonderful, as was the fireplace in our room. The mission style furniture was a nice touch, being just across from an actual mission. The bathroom could do with some updating. I'm average height, and the shower head was below my chin. The mattress also seemed old or of poor quality. Overall, it was a positive experience and the staff were absolutely lovely.

Perfect location for the Ventura Marathon. Front desk staff was not too friendly. She seemed bothered by helping us. She kept telling us to come back later to check in and then a friend arrived and was able to check in right away.

We were greeted nice by the front desk. Computer was down so she wasn’t able to do the job for checking us in as she normally would. The room was nice but the water pressure was really bad. Our room was connected to a restaurant and loud music played all day all and tell at least 11pm. Bed was comfy. My sister has another room and her tv didn’t work. About to have their offered breakfast. Cute town.

Room service stole my Apple Watch. I checked out and realized after leaving that I left my Apple Watch on the dresser. I had to go to a meeting but checked the tracker and confirmed it was in my hotel room and figured I'd go by to pick it up later. A few hours later, room service had cleaned my room, the tracker showed the watch no longer there, and staff said room service didn't find anything. Don't stay here. They employ thieves, and in my case the property they stole cost more than my stay.

It was okay. I imagine they must have staffing shortages because we had to wait to check in for 10 minutes late at night when the front desk wasn’t staffed and no one was around. Our room didn’t have any towels when we arrived, and once they delivered some, one had a brown stain so we needed a replacement. The room was very dusty and for some reason there were no outlets near the beds or nightstand so we had to charge our phones in the bathroom. Probably wouldn’t stay here again since it cost over $200 for one night.

Charming boutique property close to Ventura beach and right on the edge of dining/shopping, easy walk to many dining options. Friendly staff willing to give tips on local dining. Included continental breakfast in a covered courtyard atrium included fresh squeezed OJ. All in all, I'd be happy to stay here again when in the area.

I would not recommend this property. We were situated in a corner room, both windows basically covered by fences that stood about 1 foot from the window. My partner and I collectively killed 5 small spiders in our two night stay. The worst part was the noise. We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night. Each night, we were unable to fall asleep until roughly 2:00 am because a club/bar around the corner was blasting Kesha until closing. Also, parking was limited, so we had to street park which was inconvenient to say the least.

Very old hotel in need of remodeling. The best feature was location downtown. It is close to restaurants and shops so we walked everywhere. We weren’t aware there is a racetrack nearby and very loud racing went on all day and night Saturday.

Fantastic location just a block from Ventura's wonderful Main Street. Shopping, restaurants, thrift shops and more. There was a Saturday morning Farmer's Market on Main St. with outstanding fresh fruit, vegetables and more. They even had a separate "food court" set up with pre-prepared food and drink.

Really cute hotel that was kept clean. Parking was a little tough, but the mattress and pillow were hard AF. Could feel the springs in the bed, super uncomfortable. Additionally, the hotel is within earshot of the nearby train.

Great location, lovely setting neat the mission. Short walk to downtown and many dining options. Unfortunately, a concert at the fairgrounds several blocks away was very loud. Quieter in the room but could still hear the bass. Parking was also a challenge.

Always a great place to stay while visiting Ventura. It’s central location to shops, businesses & restaurants can’t be beat. The staff (led by Luisa) is always helpful & friendly. And the weekend HOT breakfast is an additional benefit.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The beds were extremely comfortable, and I slept well. Our room was surprisingly large. That being said, the bathroom was moldy and the bed sheets had cigarette burns. The soap, shampoo, and lotion provided were awful, so I’d bring your own. Breakfast was the most basic fare of cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, and a waffle maker. We discovered eggs, potatoes, and sausage on our last day but could have sworn it wasn’t there the first two mornings of our stay. The jacuzzi was nice but the timer didn’t work for the bubbles. The staff was helpful enough but didn’t exude hospitality. I also would not recommend a room on the ground floor facing the park.

Enjoyed the location, easy to walk to downtown to shop and eat. We had a nice upstairs corner room, very spacious. Free parking was a bonus. Our only disappointment was the Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel- the food was not good and service was poor.

The room was clean and quaint. There were some small maintenance tweaks that could have made the stay more enjoyable. For example the recessed lighting directly above the bed doesn't have a lens cover, so you see right into the lightbulb. The refrigerator was making a loud gurgling sound continuously which wasn't a dealbreaker for us as we have a fountain outside of our window at our home and it could almost sound like one, but can imagine it could be challenging for someone else. The staff were friendly and the location was great as it was walking distance to shops and restaurants. An historic building which had a nice solarium atrium which was enjoyable in the mornings, the breakfast was standard.

Rooms are DATED! We stay here every year because we go to Dallas Cowboys training camp and I think this will be the last year. Love the location, staff is usually friendly but the rooms need to be updated. We had so many gnats in our room and the beds were so uncomfortable. Our hot water handle in shower was stuck and once we could loosen it we couldn’t tighten it enough to prevent water from running! On last morning there the hotel had no hot water!! Tried to let someone know when we checked out but no staff around to be found. Such a shame but won’t be returning.
