Good place to stay. Bistro good value. You can drop off & pick up out the front but the actual parking is too far away from hotel in the casino car park. They used to do valet parking but not anymore.

Everyone loves a night at the country club. The fine dining restaurant is really good, rooms are neat and clean. Bit of yesteryear charm with the grand staircase in front foyer. Don’t forget a spa/sauna/swim before you check out. Have stayed a few times now and we love it.

A very nice location the one thing we and other travelers found to be an issue was that you had to park you vehicle so far away from the rooms. Some consideration should be given to having overnight guest parking located closer to the rooms and without having to walk the entire facility each time you needed to access something in your vehicle.

The staff were all v helpful and friendly. The pool was great. It was nice and quiet. I did have a few glasses that had lipstick marks on them ( in the breakfast and bistro areas).

A large property which for us meant lots of walking from our room, through the reception, past the casino and out to the car park. It was a shame that resident parking is not closer to the room. Room was large and rather old fashioned. There was an odour to the room each time we walked in - perhaps the carpets and bed cover need a clean and deodorise. Otherwise the hotel is well appointed with indoor pool and various dining options. Bonus fireworks on New Year's Eve.

The bed was very comfortable and room was spacious the issues we had was the bathroom was dirty. The inside of the kettle was filthy which got replaced and coffee mugs were dirty which I cleaned before we could use them. Also the car park is a fair hike from the rooms.

I was a supposedly superior King room, the bed was a king and comfy. The bathroom needed up dating. I booked it because the photos showed a walk in shower but it was a shower over the bath. We ordered breakfast in our room which arrived on time was hot and really good.

Our only 'complaint' was the bathroom facilities- needs updating to include walk-in shower for all rooms rather than shower over bath - sometimes harder for some to use & did not realise when we booked that there were alternatives ( our error) - having said that we couldnt fault anything else & the staff were all friendly & polite - the facility is in a beautiful setting & is kept immaculately clean & tidy

I have stayed here many times but this time was disapointing. Upon check out i left message with counter staff for the duty manager about some issues but i have not been contacted. Considering I have stayed many time I would have thought they would have responded to my issues. I had a suit and had noise issues with water/air con from 3am so no sleep.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Second night fire alarm rang out early hours of the morning and staff didn’t even communicate with guests and process of when we could even return to our rooms. Other wise the property is lovely and facilities.

Country Club has a lot of facilities including a casino. The room was big and clean. The bed was super comfortable. The layout of the bathroom was pretty strange, but it was not a show stopper. There are currently a lot of building works going on so when I got a room with a view to the back of the property and a car park I was not as disappointed as facing the front would have seen building works any way. Reception staff weren't as friendly as I would have liked especially to make a lone traveller feel comfortable. I parked my car in front to check in/drop bags originally as it was not clear where reception was. I was told in no uncertain terms I could not leave the car there. I was not intending to, but usually I would drive up for checkin. The porter took my luggage to my room which was excellent especially as the walk from the carpark to the hotel room as 500m which is a challenge with bags or any walking impediments. Upon checkout I called for the porter and none were available. There were some trolleys available. This makes it more difficult for a lone traveller, those with lots of bags and those who have issues walking. Room service take away breakfast was good, and I had a meal in the bistro which was reasonable. The security staff were friendly. The atmosphere was nice. There were a lot of choices for dinner.

What was great - the Terrace restaurant and staff- fabulous. What wasn’t - place seems to be full of casino and pokie players. It’s like a 90s style resort in need of a big makeover. No atmosphere for guests to sit by a fire anywhere. Rooms have connecting doors that are not sound proof. We asked for a different room and gave us no real help. Then when we had people partying till 3 am next door and the 24 hour reception did not answer our phone calls for assistance. Felt super unsafe. Offered a free breakfast after the event. Would never stay here again.

Lovely spacious hotel. Ideal for one night prior to flying from Launceston airport which is approximately 15 mins away. Spacious room and lovely grounds to walk round. Area will be superb once the golf course has been redesigned.

Lovely spacious hotel. Ideal for one night prior to flying from Launceston airport which is approximately 15 mins away. Spacious room and lovely grounds to walk round. Area will be superb once the golf course has been redesigned.

I had a fantastic stay at the Country Club during the SummerSalt concert! The location was perfect, allowing me to be just steps away from the concert. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Although there is some outdoor work happening at the moment, I can already tell the place is going to be even more amazing once it’s all finished. I can’t wait to come back and experience it again!

The Country Club is just an excellent place to stay. It has easy parking. The rooms are lovely and clean. Food of many options available. Compared to its sister accommodation in Hobart, Wrest Point it is head and shoulders above it in every respect.

due to the circumstances of the different time zones arriving at the casino from the mainland, disconnects many customers and prevents access to decent food to anything after 10 pm. This makes the experience less than desirable due to most and many visitors that are non-local normally arriving at these kinds of times, due to said time zones being different. (my family and I arrived at 9:30 pm, thus having us arrive at the country club after 10 pm, leaving us with no access to decent food, not including the packed chips available to guests at the bar). possibly in the future returning to the pre-covid dining conditions will be beneficial. this will increase the active daily income of the country club. this will also be the best possible choice for the overall health and experience of the country club as a whole. otherwise leaving guests with eh only possible and reasonable choice for food being 24-hour fast food which destroys the elegant high lifestyle and theme of the country club. (Possibly, asking guests for their feedback on the dining experience and prices. e.g. if they are reasonable or could be adjusted). other than that, it was a beautiful experience overall.

Everyone loves a night at the country club. The fine dining restaurant is really good, rooms are neat and clean. Bit of yesteryear charm with the grand staircase in front foyer. Don’t forget a spa/sauna/swim before you check out. Have stayed a few times now and we love it.

Room was disappointing considering it was at the Casino and we paid direct with the hotel for an upgrade. We found the Hobart Casino to be much better value and a much nicer room. Food was average. Both dinner in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast hot (precooked) food was mostly cold. Hotel grounds are beautiful and very well kept.

Staff friendly and helpful, room was good, but carpets throughout could do with an upgrade. Breakfas, there was a good choice and variety but if you're not a big eater it is expensive.

A really nice place to stay. Very luxurious. The room’s are large, well maintained and comfortable. It was so nice having a balcony and a spa as well. The sound proofing is very good. And it’s so handy being able to go down to the Water Garden for some food, and bringing it back to the room. As well as having the option to room service.

Always love our stays at the Country Club. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Check-in is alway a friendly experience. We tried the buffet breakfast for the first time on this trip and must say it was disappointing. The quality of the food was poor and only one type of tea to choose from. The pancakes were actually rock cakes and inedible. The scrambled eggs were obviously made from powdered eggs. Compared to buffet breakfasts Ive experienced for a similar price at similar hotels, this just didn't rate. This aside, our stay was as always, great.

Rooms and staff were great. The Country Club is undergoing renovations at the moment which is a bit disruptive but should be worth it in the end. They have a really good cafe with a large selection of snacks/meals. For those of us who do not necessarily want a sit down meal it can and was utilised for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a fire alarm go off at 3.30am for around 20 minutes, interestingly the same thing happened when we stayed at the same time last year. It’s a great holiday and we will probably return again next year.

these rooms are very old nothing has been done since it opened maybe 44 years ago and for the price it should be better the water garden was closed for renovations so the food was available in the Links restaurant and we thought the food was terrible no wonder there was nobody in there not good enough for the price overall will noy stay there again

We enjoyed the Range and Putt Putt. Helpful staff great variety of dining options. Clean and great comfy bed, the only downfall was the pillow - ask at the desk for other options - we found this out upon checkout 😊
